The front page of Mundo Deportivo in Spain
Mundo Deportivo in Spain featured the story on their front page this morning.
They report that Barcelona face losing French winger Dembele to Juventus or PSG next summer on a free.
That would be a hammer blow for Barca having forked out £115m to bring him in from Dortmund four years ago.
Should the Catalans be unable to come to an agreement with the 24-year-old over a new contract, then they’ll have to look elsewhere.
And Sterling, 26, could be the man to replace Dembele in Barcelona’s front line.
Ronald Koeman’s men are close to bringing in Memphis Depay from Lyon while Sergio Aguero has already joined from Man City.
Another ex-City player Eric Garcia has also agreed to join Barcelona on a free this summer.

Spanish giants Barcelona thought they were in pole position to seal a deal for the Dutchman.
But Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano claims they have been usurped by the Ligue 1 club.
Wijnaldum has allegedly already penned his contract at PSG.
The star is believed to have committed his future to Mauricio Pochettino’s team until 2024.
He was set to undergo a medical on Monday evening and – if no problems arise – will see his transfer officially confirmed in the coming days.
Wijnaldum was heading to Barcelona before he changed his mind on Sunday and opted for PSG instead.
The LaLiga side had a medical planned for the ace, but the prospect of being paid DOUBLE in the French capital proved too hard to resist.
Barca have now turned their attention to signing another member of the Netherlands’ Euro 2020 squad.

Arsenal ‘ready to hijack Man Utd’s Kieran Trippier transfer’ but Atletico Madrid star wants Old Trafford move

SunSport exclusively revealed last week that Trippier, 30, has told his England team-mates that he’d like to return to the Premier League with Man United.
But Atletico may try and flog him elsewhere, against his wishes.
According to Marca, Diego Simeone’s side could try and use Trippier in a deal with Arsenal, in which Hector Bellerin would move the other way.
Bellerin, 26, is one of a number of senior figures in North London that could be flogged this summer.
Atletico sporting director Andrea Berta is a fan of the Spanish international.
And Bellerin himself is believed to be open to a return to Spain.
Trippier, meanwhile, has enjoyed his two years in the Spanish capital, winning the LaLiga title with Atletico last season.
But he would like to return to England this summer, with a move to be near his family in the North West particularly preferable.

PSG confirm Lionel Messi talks and open door to signing Barcelona legend in sensational free transfer this summer

Lionel Messi is currently on international duty with ArgentinaCredit: Reuters
But Al-Khelaifi, 47, is refusing to give up.
In an interview with L’Equipe, he noted: “Messi is at the end of his contract and all clubs have the right to talk to him and recruit him for next season.
“What I can tell you, and you can believe me, is that all great players want to come to PSG.
“All – just to be clear, I’m not saying that to answer you on Messi. It’s not possible to sign them all, since we have great players too.
“And Messi is Messi, a fantastic player.”
Regardless of his setting next season, the 33-year-old will have to take a sizeable pay cut.
Barcelona’s £1billion of debt would necessitate a big drop in wages for Messi to stay in Catalonia.
But even PSG wouldn’t be able to offer his current Barca salary due to a cut in revenue brought on by the coronavirus pandemic.

Al-Khelaifi believes that Uefa’s Financial Fair Play regulations are ‘untenable’.
He added: “Everyone knows that clubs are going to lose money.
“Honestly, with the health crisis, the rules of FFP are untenable. Football around the world has lost around $8bn.
“FFP should not prevent investment. Do we want people to put money into football or other sports? I want them to invest in our sport.
“We need to change the rules of FFP and Uefa must work on it.”
Manchester City have also been extensively linked with Messi over the last 12 months, but a deal feels unlikely unless something dramatically changes.

Simeone’s current deal is set to expire at the end of next season.
But the club want to renew after an impressive season in which Atleti won the LaLiga title ahead of rivals Real Madrid and Barcelona.
According to AS, an agreement is near and Simeone will commit his future until June 2024.
Atletico had struggled during the 2019-20 season, coming third – 17 points behind winners Real Madrid.
Simeone, however, put that disappointment down to being in a ‘rebuild’ stage, and was vindicated by this season’s success.
And he wants to continue the process by adding a new centre forward this summer.
Luis Suarez’s 21 goals were crucial in winning the title for Atletico,
And the Uruguayan could be supported next term by a fellow South American.

Simeone, 51, believes that Inter Milan star Martinez would be the perfect partner for Suarez next season.
The Inter striker acted as a perfect foil for Romelu Lukaku in Serie A, and could theoretically do the same at Atletico.
A deal will be difficult, however, with Atletico feeling the financial effect of the coronavirus pandemic.
Inter will demand at least £60million for Martinez, 23.

Atletico Madrid ‘considering swap transfer with Arsenal involving Hector Bellerin and Man Utd target Kieran Trippier’

ATLETICO MADRID are considering a swap deal involving Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin and England ace Kieran Trippier.Manchester United are said to be keen on the England ace but they may face competition from their Premier League rivals in North London.

Trippier, 30, has recently got new representatives – Base Soccer Agency – and could be tempted by a lucrative switch back to the UK, according to Marca.
The Three Lions star only joined the Spanish giants last summer for £20million on a three-year deal, won LaLiga in his first season and is said to be happy in Spain.
But a deal with a Premier League club has reportedly not been ruled out.
And this is where Arsenal come in with Bellerin said to be a favourite of Atletico sporting director Andrea Berta.
The Barcelona academy product is set to lead a mass exodus at Arsenal this summer.
The Spanish full-back wants a new challenge after ten years at the Emirates and fancies moving to another country.
And Arsenal boss Arteta will not stand in the way of Bellerin, 26, as he plans to revamp his underperforming squad.
It seems unlikely a switch to the Gunners would appeal to Trippier with the North Londoners not in any European competition next season and the Rojiblanco in the Champions League.

But reports have surfaced suggesting he has been house-hunting in the North West ahead of a £10m move to Old Trafford.
According to The Athletic, Trippier has been seen trying to find a new house near Man Utd’s famous old stadium.
The right back may simply be looking to buy a property in the area because he’s originally from Bury in Greater Manchester.
Or it could be an indication that he’s interested in relocating from Madrid to England ahead of a summer move.
The Red Devils are believed to be interested in signing another right back to challenge Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is said to have reservations about the 23-year-old’s offensive ability and needs a more experienced option.
Trippier has been crucial to Atletico’s success this season, making 28 LaLiga appearances as Diego Simeone’s first-choice right back.
The Manchester City academy graduate has previously played for Barnsley, Burnley and Tottenham – helping the latter reach the 2019 Champions League final.
Trippier has played down talk of a move from the Spanish capital, telling the press: “I’m enjoying myself so much out there.
“I’m just fully focused on doing the best I can for my club. I’m absolutely delighted I won the title out there.
“People might not focus on me as much because I’m out there in Spain, the Premier League is the Premier League.
“But I’m enjoying myself, loving it, my family are enjoying it, there’s sunshine every single day so I just need to keep doing as well as I can for Atletico.
“I’m delighted I’ve done that and now I’m part of England. I know Gareth watches the games along with his staff.
“So for me it’s just about doing as well as I can at the highest level to try to be selected for as long as I can with the national team.”

According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona are waiting for Wijnaldum to make a decision on his future.
Previous reports suggested the 30-year-old would sign for the Spanish giants on a free transfer.
But that move appears to be in doubt as PSG have reportedly offered to double his pay.
Both clubs are believed to be offering Wijnaldum a three-year contract, with the LaLiga team said to be preparing a medical.
The midfielder is understood to prefer a move to Spain and work under Dutch legend and Barca manager Ronald Koeman.
But the Ligue 1 side are allegedly complicating matters by offering him more than €150,000-a-week.

Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are also believed to be monitoring the Holland international.
According to Marca, Wijnaldum told the press earlier this week: “I cannot deny talks [with Barcelona].
“My contract ends and it is an interesting situation for many clubs.”

Wijnaldum enjoyed an excellent six-year stint in the Premier League after leaving PSV for Newcastle United in 2015.
Although the Magpies were relegated in his only season at the club, he’s gone on to win the Prem and Champions League at Anfield.
And the 74-cap international has been included in Frank de Boer’s squad for the Euros.

According to The Atheltic, Richarlison and Rodriguez are now considering their futures following Ancelotti’s departure.
The Italian coach has agreed to re-join Real – the club he guided to Champions League glory in 2014 – in a shock move.
Many believed the Italian boss was on the verge of creating something special at Goodison Park after guiding the Toffees to tenth in the Premier League.
But his exit – plus the impending departures of 13 players placed on the Premier League’s released list – indicates the Liverpool-based club are set for another transitional period.
Among those set to leave Goodison Park on a free transfer this summer are Josh King and Yannick Bolasie.
Theo Walcott, who’s also not been offered a new contract, is set to join Southampton on a permanent basis following a loan stint.

Liverpool boast the most-valuable squad in the Premier League
The Athletic’s report will concern Everton fans as Richarlison and Rodriguez are two of the club’s best players.
Richarlison, 24, has shown glimpses of his talent since moving to Goodison Park in 2018, scoring 33 goals in 105 Premier League appearances.
Rodriguez, 29, has also done well when available, featuring 23 times in his maiden Prem campaign.

Everton haven’t won a league title since 1987 and have picked up just one trophy since – the 1995 FA Cup.
The Toffees have also gone 16 years without finishing in the top four and haven’t qualified for European football since 2017.
Departing Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo is the bookies’ favourite to succeed Ancelotti at Goodison Park, with sacked Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo also linked.
