Lewandowski, 34, grabbed his second goal of the tournament with virtually the last kick of the game – beating Hugo Lloris at the second attempt with a retaken penalty.
The goal will be his last action on a football pitch for a while, after he was handed a three-match ban by LaLiga.
The former Bayern Munich star was red carded during a 2-1 victory over Osasuna in his final club match before the World Cup.
Lewandowski was given his marching orders with just half an hour on the clock, receiving a second yellow for clattering into defender David Garcia.

As he departed the field of play he touched his chin – a gesture interpreted to have been derogatory towards the referee, Jesus Gil Manzano.
The Pole subsequently denied this, however, instead claiming it had been directed at his manager, Xavi.
He said: “If you ask me about that gesture, it’s a bit funny because last week I was talking with Xavi, with the coach, and we talked that if these things happened in the future, if I saw a yellow card I had to be careful, because I could go out.
“After that the gesture was for Xavi, not for the referee.”

LaLiga haven’t bought Lewandowski’s explanation, however, and have slapped an extra two games onto his initial one-match ban after turning down an appeal.
Not willing to accept the outcome, it’s claimed by Marca that Barca could take the matter to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
As it stands, Lewandowski is set to miss his side’s Catalan derby clash with Espanyol, as well as subsequent games against Atletico Madrid and Getafe.
Barcelona could turn to forward Memphis Depay in their regular No9’s absence, with the Dutchman having returned to action at the World Cup following a two-month injury lay-off.

According to Marca, Felix has asked agent Jorge Mendes to find him a new club mid-season.

Who is Lionel Messi’s wife Antonella Roccuzzo? Argentine model and former dental student

LIONEL MESSI lives a quiet life for a football icon, in contrast to that of his great rival Cristiano Ronaldo. He will be looking to win his first World Cup with Argentina, but the nation must get a positive result when they face Mexico this week to stand a chance of doing so.
And what is known about the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is that he married his childhood sweetheart Antonella Roccuzzo in July 2017.
The pair tied the knot in Argentina in July 2017Credit: Rex Features
Who is Antonella Roccuzzo and how did she meet Lionel Messi?
Antonella Roccuzzo was born Argentina’s third largest city of Rosario, just like Lionel Messi.
She has known the Barcelona star since she was five years old as her cousin, Lucas Scaglia, was a childhood friend of his.
If Messi has a reputation of being shy, this was certainly not the case in his pursuit of Antonella, as he regularly visited her home from a young age, just to see her.
It is not known how long the pair have been together behind closed doors, but they went public with their relationship in 2008.
The bond between the couple was believed to have strengthened in 2007, when Messi flew back to Rosario to comfort Antonella after the death of her friend.
    What is Antonella Roccuzzo’s job?
Antonella Roccuzzo initially trained to be a dentist at university.
But she ultimately switched to social communication.
In November 2016, she posted on Instagram stating that she had signed a modelling contract with Argentine fashion label Ricky Sarkany.
Where did her wedding with Lionel  Messi take place?
The Barcelona striker married Antonella in a party billed Argentina’s ‘wedding of the century.’
It took place at the plush City Centre Hotel and Casino in their hometown of Rosario in Argentina.
Premier League stars Cesc Fabregas and Sergio Aguero were present, while Barcelona legends Xavi Hernandez, Carles Puyol and Samuel Eto’o were also in town.
It has been reported that as well as guests having their phones banned, staff were sworn to secrecy – and over 450 police officers were brought in to manage the situation.
And the couple looked overwhelmed to tie the knot in front of their young sons Thiago and Mateo.
On March 10, 2018, Antonella gave birth to the couple’s third son, Ciro.

He has since played just 131 minutes in all competitions, however, with Barca now eager to take whatever money they can for him in January.
The Catalan giants are reportedly unhappy with how he handled a hamstring injury sustained in September.
According to Spanish paper AS, Barcelona expected the issue to keep Depay sidelined for only four weeks.
They add that Barca were fuming that six weeks later Depay remained “on leave” – asking to head back to Holland early ahead of the World Cup.

Depay’s injury woes have reportedly strengthened Barcelona’s desire to sell him – with a bid of just £4million claimed to be enough to secure his signature after the tournament.
Chelsea have been linked with the former Manchester United attacker, as they aim to add firepower to Graham Potter’s attack.
A switch would see Depay reunited with former Barcelona team-mate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – who made the same switch in August.
Despite his injury troubles, Depay was named in Louis van Gaal’s 26-man Netherlands squad for the World Cup.

He was only deemed fit enough for the bench for his side’s opener, coming on with 28 minutes remaining in their 2-0 victory over Senegal on Monday.
In Depay’s absence, Vincent Janssen and Steven Bergwijn started up top for the Dutch.
Barca are hoping that a strong World Cup showing could help Depay regain some market value.
His only goal this season came in a 3-0 victory over Elche back in September.
Chelsea are desperate to improve offensively – sitting eighth in the Prem table having scored just 17 goals in 14 games – the lowest tally in the league’s top ten.
Addressing his future on the eve of the tournament, Depay said: “I don’t know what will happen after the World Cup. The injury has been hard, but I’m already recovered and I’m enjoying the World Cup.
