      JOAO FELIX’S shockingly low wages have been revealed as Barcelona plan to give him a massive pay rise.The forward joined the Spanish champions on a season-long loan from Atletico Madrid on deadline day.

      He has since scored three goals and provided three assists in eight appearances across all competitions.
      However, according to reports in Spain, Felix has been paid a relatively tiny wage during his time at Barcelona.
      As part of the deal, the 23-year-old would receive an annual salary of just €400,000 (£345,000), according to Catalunya Radio.
      That equates to £6,635 per week.

      For comparison, team-mate Frenkie de Jong earns a reported £620,000k every seven days.
      It is claimed Felix had to accept the terms to get a deal done, due to Barcelona’s strict financial limitations.
      The broke Catalans have been selling off assets and slices of their future TV rights income over the last year to plug a reported £1BILLION debt.
      And an agreement was included in Felix’s deal for his salary to be increased once Barcelona’s financial status allowed it.

      And it is now claimed he is set for a 900 per cent bump.
      The report adds that Felix will now be paid a salary of €4million (£3.45million) for the remainder of his stay.
      However, his new £66,345-per-week wages are still far less than he was earning at Atletico.
      It is also understood that the change in his wages will not impact on Barcelona when it comes to Financial Fair Play.
      Felix’s loan only lasts until the end of the season, with his Atletico contract not expiring until 2029.
      Prior to joining Barca, the Portugal international had been linked with a return to the Premier League.
      Having spent the second half of last season with Chelsea, several clubs were rumoured to be interested in signing Felix.
      Manchester United are said to have turned down the chance to sign him in the summer, though. More

      He was awarded an Honorary Master’s in Sciences and Techniques of Preventive and Adapted Motor Activity to celebrate his 44 years in the beautiful game.
      Ancelotti’s degree came from the University’s prestigious Medicine and Surgery Department.
      And at Wednesday’s ceremony, he delivered a speech titled ‘Football, a way of life’.

      Ancelotti, 64, received his award with ex-AC Milan managers Arrigo Sacchi and Ariedo Braida in the crowd.

      However Los Blancos could now be set to lose Diaz for a large chunk of the season.
      That is because he has decided to represent Morocco, who he qualifies to play for through his father, report Marca.
      Diaz has one Spain cap but rules allow players to switch national allegiance if they have fewer than three caps – as long as their appearances did not come in the World Cup.

      And if Morocco call up Diaz, he could miss several Real Madrid matches due to the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.
      The tournament takes place between January 13 – February 11 2024.
      So if Morocco get to the final Diaz will miss five games, and potentially more as he may need time to recover.
      Real play rivals Atletico Madrid in that period, the only team to beat them so far this season.

      The stadium’s demolition is already complete with the third tier completely torn down and the visor that covered one side of the field and gave shelter to fans from the sun has been removed.
      According to Sport, however, the Blaugrana have yet to secure the necessary permit that will allow them to start rebuilding.
      The Catalan giants are rigorously working towards a resolution with Barcelona’s City Council
      The Spanish champions are confident a resolution will be reached before the next general assembly scheduled to take place on October 21.

      The Nou Camp’s demolition was completed much faster than the club expected.
      However, Barcelona’s City Council warned the rebuilding process would be slow.
      That is because new president Joan Laporta’s board of directors had modified the initial plan approved by the previous board under his predecessor Josep Maria Bartomeu.
      But the club is confident Xavi’s side will play their first game at the new Spotify Camp Nou on November 2024, but with limited capacity in the initial stages.

      Until then, the Catalans will continue playing their home games at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys.
      The redevelopment is expected to cost Barcelona a staggering £1.25billion.
