The match proved to be a fiery encounter, with players and staff from both teams being sent off.
In the 42nd minute, Oyola Palacio was left furious by a Raphinha elbow.
His protestations bizarrely earned him a red card, as well as the Brazilian winger.
Despite his sending off, Oyola Palacio was able to linger in the tunnel during the second half, in case his medical services were required.

Following the match, Oyola Palacio was slapped with a four-match ban by the Royal Spanish Football Federation.
The Getafe doctor will have to be replaced by another medical professional for his side’s next four matches.
After finishing the first half 11 vs 10, Getafe were also down a player just 12 minutes into the second period when Jaime Mata was shown a second yellow card.
With 20 minutes remaining, an incensed Xavi was also sent off for dissent.

Unlike Oyola Palacio, the Barca boss was not allowed to remain in the tunnel and was instead sent to the stands.
After the bad-tempered 0-0 draw, Xavi said: “I told him (the referee) he was allowing too many fouls. That’s why he sent me off.
“There’s nothing else to say. I have commented in the past and they ban me for it.”
The match also featured a bizarre moment from Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo.
After a pass in his direction was overhit, Araujo bafflingly CAUGHT the ball mid-game.
Despite complaints from Getafe players, a sheepish Araujo escaped without a booking.

And the Prem trio will be among clubs scrapping for the Spain international’s signature this summer.
Fati, 20, burst onto the scene as a teenager three years ago, having been at Barcelona since he was nine.
He is the youngest goal scorer in Champions League history, at the age of 17 years and 40 days.
And he even inherited Lionel Messi’s iconic No 10 shirt with the Argentina legend left the club in 2021.

But Fati has slipped down the pecking order under boss Xavi.
And Spanish publication AS report that the Guinea Bissau-born star now wants out.
That represents a change of heart for Fati, who had been determined to earn his boss’ trust.
But he was left on the bench for the disappointing 0-0 La Liga opener against Getafe.

And, to rub salt in the wound, he saw unknown kids Abde Ezzalzouli and Lamine Yamal come on ahead of him as Barca desperately hunted a winner.
Fati was finally called on in the 79th minute, but failed to make an impact.
And that appears to have been the final straw for Fati, as he looks to resurrect his career elsewhere.
Atletico Madrid are reportedly also keen but have yet to contact Barcelona, meaning Prem sides can get a head start. More

The former England star told the story of his hat-trick for Barcelona against Real Madrid in 1987.
Lineker looked back on chipping Madrid goalkeeper Paco Buyo to net his third goal after scoring two in the opening five minutes.
Speaking to GOAL he said: “It was the first one [El Clasico] I’d played at the Nou Camp and I scored two goals in the first five minutes – both from very close range.
“And I had goose bumps. The noise was incredible, in front of 120,000 fans.

“It was about five minutes into the second half and I was one-on-one withy the goalkeeper who I believe was [Paco] Buyo. I’ve dinked it over him and when I saw it going in it was just magical.”
But despite the euphoria that Lineker must have been feeling in that moment, he was denied a longstanding English tradition by the referee.
After bagging his hat-trick he was expecting to take the match ball home with him.
But when he asked the referee for the ball, he had no clue what Lineker was talking about and refused to hand it over.

The former Leicester and Spurs striker said: “The referee had the ball in his hands.
“I went up to him and asked him for the ball, but he was going ‘Que? Porque? No.’
“I went ‘I’ve scored three goals’ and he just didn’t get it. It wasn’t a thing in Spain back then and so I never got it [the ball].”
Barcelona ended up 3-2 winners in the game and Lineker was still able to celebrate the three points regardless of missing out on the match ball.
The Match of the Day host ended up playing 138 times for the Catalan club, scoring 51 goals before moving to Tottenham in 1989. More

I’m a World Cup legend and football icon who bought a club for £26million – but I want to sell after just five years

BRAZIL legend Ronaldo certainly knows a thing or two about success in football. But he has struggled to convert his on-pitch glory to the boardroom since buying his own club.

The two-time World Cup and Ballon d’Or winner, 46, became the first former footballer to buy a club in one of Europe’s top-five leagues in September 2018.
Ronaldo stumped up £26million for 51 per cent of Spanish top-flight side Real Valladolid and then bought another 21 per cent the following year.
Unsurprisingly, Valladolid fans were excited about his arrival – and Ronaldo himself appeared ready for the challenge.
He said: “I have gone through many stages in my training in football to prepare for this. Football is all about passion.

“We want to build the best team possible to compete while also giving information about our management with transparency.”
However, things have not quite worked out as planned for Real.
The Estadio Nuevo Jose Zorrilla side stayed in LaLiga in Ronaldo’s first year at the helm – and finished a respectable 13th in 2019-20.
However, their luck ran out in 2020-21 as the club were relegated into the second division.

Valladolid wasted no time returning to the top tier with immediate promotion but the club suffered the drop again last term to sink back into the Segunda Division despite having former Chelsea star Kenedy in the squad.
That prompted heavy criticism of the famous owner, especially as he pointed the finger and blamed others for their second relegation in three seasons.
And now Ronaldo is already looking to sell the club – less than five years after his fanfare takeover.
Reports suggested a letter of intent was sent from investors to the club’s board regarding a possible purchase.
A £69m offer for an 80 per cent takeover was on the table and accepted – but the deal was conditional on Real staying up last term and therefore collapsed.
Ronaldo has also insisted he will not sell unless he leaves the club in a better state than when he arrived in 2018, meaning he looks set to have to wait at least another 12 months due to the relegation.
The former Barcelona and Real Madrid striker is said to want to return to Brazil to be closer to his children.
And he also has a controlling stake in boyhood club Cruziero, investing a whopping £55m for a 70 per cent stake as part of his plan to “give back to Cruzeiro and take them where they deserve to be”.
His plan worked, too, with the Belo Horizonte club winning the 2022 Campeonato Brasileiro Serie B to return to the top flight again.

Robert Sanchez joined the Blues in a £25m deal from Brighton on a seven-year deal.

Real Madrid wanted him on a loan-to-buy option after their No1 Thibaut Courtois sustained an ACL injury that ruled him out for the majority of the campaign.
Bayern also submitted a one-year loan proposal due to Manuel Neuer nursing an injury he picked up in a skiing accident last season.
