Avram Grant posted a photo with King CharlesCredit: Instagram
Grant, 68, took to Instagram on the day of King Charles III was crowned at Westminster Abbey.
He posted a wonderful photo of him meeting the monarch at a black-tie event, with the pair laughing together.
And the Israeli captioned it brilliantly.
Grant wrote: “Congratulations to the new King.

“In this picture, I’d just told him that someone would buy Chelsea and make himself director of football…”
The cheeky message was seemingly in reference to new Blues owner Boehly – although he is technically chairman but not director of football, with that role shared by Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley.
The American billionaire bought the Stamford Bridge club for £4.25billion last May and pumped in another £600million on transfers this season.
But it has not worked out as planned – with Chelsea going through three managers and still slumped in 11th in the Premier League while being dumped out of all cup competitions.

And fans flooded the comments of Grant’s post in hysterics.
    One said: “Naughty that, Avram!”
    Another wrote: “That caption.”
And a third added: “Tell ’em, Avram.”
Grant, a friend of Roman Abramovich and director of Chelsea, managed the club from 2007 to 2008, taking them to the Champions League final in Moscow.
He was sacked within days of the heartbreak against Manchester United – before going on to coach Portsmouth, West Ham and Ghana.
Now he is the Zambia national team boss, having taken on the job in December 2022.

The seven times world champions said he will try to tune in from the garage tomorrow, but is not sure if he received an invite.
Sky Sports F1 reporter Ted Kravitz asked the star, who was knighted in 2021 by King Charles, if had been invited to attend the ceremony.

Kravitz responded: “You probably did get an invitation, you know…”
Hamilton added: “Kind of neat if I did, if I didn’t it’s okay. Amazing I’m going to hopefully have it live while I’m engineering.”

The 38-year-old has met the new King on multiple occasions previously.
Even before he was knighted in 2021, Hamilton met the monarch in 1997 when the future F1 star was just a 12-year-old karting prodigy.

The driver previously told Vanity Fair: “When I had signed into 1997 and then I went to McLaren, Prince Charles came to open up the factory. And that day I remember having my go-kart and I was sitting there, and Prince Charles knelt down next to me and spoke to me.
“I was like, ‘Hey, I’m Lewis Hamilton. One day, I want to be a Formula 1 champion. When I stood up [after being knighted in 2021], he’s like, ‘It’s been a long time since I’ve seen you. You’ve come a long way.
“And I’m like, ‘Yes, honoured to see you, your Highness. Thank you so much for having me and my family, this gesture,’ just telling him how grateful I am for this moment.” More

And in a gesture of support for the new monarch, the Daily Mail report the Premier League contacted the ten home teams to strongly suggest a series of moves to mark the occasion.
That includes playing God Save The King as players stand around the centre circle.
Clubs are also being encouraged to display the official portrait of the King and The Queen Consort and the Coronation Logo on the big screens and on social media and an article in the matchday programmes.
It is said the majority of the home clubs have agreed to play the song.

However, some fans have been known to boo the anthem in the past.
And it could put clubs in a difficult position as they would likely face criticism if they did not play it or if it was met with jeers inside the stadium.
BT Sport’s Premier League slot is usually at 12.30pm on Saturday lunchtimes.
But the coronation taking place in London at 11am means Manchester United’s away trip to West Ham was rescheduled for Sunday at 7pm.

The five matches on the day of the historic event are Bournemouth vs Chelsea, Manchester City vs Leeds, Tottenham vs Crystal Palace and Wolves vs Aston Villa, all at 3pm, followed by Liverpool vs Brentford at 5.30pm on Sky Sports.
City’s home clash with Leeds on Sky will see the 3pm TV blackout broken due to a combination of the coronation, police resources, the Champions League semi-final and even Eurovision.
And Chelsea fans will have an extra reason to tune in to the King’s coronation.
That is because WSL superstar Sam Kerr will be the official flag bearer for Australia at Westminster Abbey.
