Tyson Fury ‘really happy’ with first day as trainer to brother Tommy, who says Jake Paul is getting ‘knocked spark out’

TYSON FURY was left ‘really happy’ with his first day as trainer to brother Tommy, who said Jake Paul is getting ‘knocked spark out’. Fury’s little brother Tommy has signed and confirmed his celebrity grudge match with Paul on December 18 in Florida.

The 2019 Love Island star is usually trained and cornered by his dad John, but due to a prior criminal conviction, the father is unable to travel Stateside.
It means WBC heavyweight champion Fury and his coach SugarHill Steward are leading the charge for Tommy’s training camp.
Tommy and his brother had their first day in camp together and the pair were all smiles afterwards.
Fury, 33, said: “Just finished me first day as a trainer. First morning session rather. Really happy with myself the way things went.
“All the boys trained hard. How was it Tommy? How you feeling?”
Tommy, 22, responded: “The run this morning was good. Good leg work, feeling good, feeling fit.
“Trainer T is doing the best job.”

Fury then asked: ‘What’s happening to Jake Paul? To which Tommy replied: “You’re getting knocked spark out. Two rounds.”
The Gypsy King then remarked: “Jake Paul, we’re coming for you.”
Fury was in America to begin training but was forced to fly home, before his first press conference, due to a family emergency.
Paul, 24, still attended the media event and there he questioned whether his rival will be able to live up to the Fury fighting name.
He said: “The beautiful thing about this fight is the unknown. Is he actually a Fury, or will we find out that he’s just a half Fury?
“Does he have the heart like his brother, or is he just living in the shadow of his brother.
“The beautiful thing about this fight is stepping into the unknown, because this is also my first time fighting a real boxer, whatever that means?
You’re getting knocked spark out. Two rounds.Tommy Fury to Jake Paul
“He’s undefeated, he’s young, same age, same weight, same height, so it’s really a perfect match-up.
“We’re just going to see who worked harder, who wants it more and who has that dog inside of them.”
Paul beat ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39, in his last fight and Tommy won against his sparring partner Anthony Taylor, 32, on the undercard.
The social media influencer previously stopped online rival ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, also 37.
But he is entering his third pay-per-view main event and believes Tommy’s inexperience on the big stage will be his downfall on fight night.
Paul said: “He’s only been put in there with opponents that were meant to lose.
“This is his first real test where his opponent isn’t some guy who is just going to flop over.
“He has no idea what he’s getting himself into. This is his first time under the big lights, on the big stage, and he’s going to crack under pressure.”

Jake Paul says Tommy Fury is ‘living in the shadow’ of brother Tyson and predicts rival will ‘crack under pressure’

Fury, who in 2019 featured on reality TV show Love Island, comes into it unbeaten at 7-0.
Whereas Paul is more inexperienced as a 4-0 fighter, but is entering his third pay-per-view main event.
And the YouTube sensation believes Fury’s inexperience on the big stage will be his downfall on fight night.

Paul, 24, beat ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39, in his last fight and Fury, 22, won against his sparring partner Anthony Taylor, 32, on the undercard.
The social media influencer previously stopped online rival ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, also 37.
But Fury will be his first opponent with previous professional boxing experience.
The undefeated Brit will be trained by his heavyweight world champion brother Tyson, who will also be in his corner on the night of the fight.
And Paul – who has a famous older brother in Logan – questioned whether Fury will be able to live up to his family’s fighting name.

He said: “The beautiful thing about this fight is the unknown. Is he actually a Fury, or will we find out that he’s just a half Fury?
“Does he have the heart like his brother, or is he just living in the shadow of his brother.

Tommy Fury changing his name is NOT in Jake Paul fight contract but he WILL be ‘extremely well paid’, Frank Warren says

TOMMY FURY changing his name if he loses is NOT in his contract to fight Jake Paul, Frank Warren insists. The celebrity boxing rivals finally confirmed their grudge match, which is set for December 18 in Florida.

Paul, 24, had offered a wager which would see him forfeit an additional $500,000 to Fury, 22, if he lost.
But in the event he won, the YouTuber would force his opponent to legally change his name to ‘Tommy Fumbles’ for a year.
Fury, brother to WBC heavyweight champion Tyson, confidently accepted the bet and ordered a contract to be produced.
And despite Paul releasing documented proof, promoter Warren insisted no such clause has actually been inserted.
He said on iFL TV: “No, that’s not in the contract. I’ll tell you what, I think Jake Paul is a really good promoter.
“He’s a very good promoter and he’s fun, there’s no doubt about it. This could be a lot of fun.
“These two are obviously going to get at each other, it’s going to be a fun promotion, there’s no doubt about it.”

Paul started with three knockouts, over online rival ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA star Nate Robinson and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, both 37.
But in August he scored his biggest win yet against ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39, over eight rounds.
On the undercard, Fury, 22, beat Paul’s sparring partner Anthony Taylor, 32, to set up the mega-fight.
The pressure has been piled on the 2019 Love Island star, most notably from his own family.
Warren previously joked dad John and brother Tyson could both disown Fury if he fails to win.

But the risk has matched up with the reward for the unbeaten Brit, who will be paid handsomely for the clash.
Warren said: “Look, I’m pleased for Tommy because he’s getting extremely well paid for it.
“And you can’t be expecting him to turn anything down like this. It’s huge money.
“You know what? For the money you’re getting paid, you’re getting paid well to take the pressure, that’s what it’s all about.”

Promoter Eddie Hearn has a ‘terrible feeling’ Jake Paul will BEAT Love Island star Tommy Fury in celebrity grudge match

EDDIE HEARN admitted he has a ‘terrible feeling’ Jake Paul will BEAT Tommy Fury in their celebrity grudge match. YouTuber Paul and Love Island star Fury have signed to fight on December 18 in Florida.
Jake Paul pictured with promoter Eddie Hearn
Tyson Fury pictured with brother Tommy
It has already attracted huge attention and was the first thing promoter Hearn was asked about on Instagram Live.
And when quizzed on who he is picking to win, Hearn said: “I have got a terrible feeling that Jake Paul might win.”
He promoted Paul’s professional boxing debut, a one round win over online rival ‘AnEsonGib’ in January 2020.
Then he knocked out ex-NBA player Nate Robinson and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 37.
Most recently, the American beat ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39, over eight rounds, to go 4-0.
On the undercard, Fury, 22, beat Paul’s sparring partner Anthony Taylor, 32, to go 7-0.

Hearn has been quick to applaud Paul’s ability but warned defeat for Fury, brother to heavyweight champion Tyson, would be disastrous.
He said: “I’ve only watched Tommy Fury once in a UK show beating a guy that I could’ve beaten.
“And then I watched that last fight he was in, the four-rounder against the guy who sparred with Jake.
“Logic and hope would tell you a professional boxer that boxed for a living and was also Tyson Fury’s brother should never, ever lose to Jake Paul.
“But Jake Paul is not horrific, there’s a lot of pro fighters worse than Jake Paul.
“I’ve seen them, I’ve had a lot of them on my shows in with young kids coming through.
“But it’s just the most embarrassing thing if he loses that fight.”

Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury: Boxer who has fought both fighters breaks down why YouTuber will ‘DOMINATE’ Love Island star

JAKE PAUL will “dominate” Tommy Fury when the two fight on December 18.That is according to Anthony ‘Pretty Boy’ Taylor, who has fought against both boxers.

On the same card that saw Paul outpoint UFC legend Tyron Woodley, Fury easily beat Taylor by the same method.
And despite being outclassed by the former Love Island star, Taylor was not impressed with what he saw first hand.
And he predicts sparring partner Paul will have too much for the younger brother of WBC heavyweight champ Tyson.
Speaking to Vegas Insider, Taylor, 32, said: “If I had to put my life on the line I’d predict Jake is going to dominate Fury. He might most likely KO Fury, or TKO.
“When you look at Tommy versus Jake, it’s more like Anthony Joshua versus Uysk. Think about it, Jake moves around well using footwork and has good head movement. He moves around like Usyk.
“When you look at Tommy, he’s very stationary, like Anthony Joshua. He relies on that one big punch. So that’s how the fight’s going to be.

“Don’t expect Tommy Fury to be bouncing on his tippy toes, but expect Jake to do that because Jake got good ring awareness.”
Taylor accepts Fury’s longer reach – 80in compared to Paul’s 76in – will be advantageous for the Brit.
But he believes Fury has ‘no knockout power’ and is ‘nowhere near Jake’s level’.
The Californian added: “Tommy doesn’t have power, he doesn’t hold power. He has no pop.
“I felt every shot he hit me with, I wasn’t intimidated. I just kept coming forward. You can obviously tell that Tommy doesn’t have a lot of experience with sparring and fighting.
Tommy is green, Tommy’s not anywhere near Jake’s levelAnthony ‘Pretty Boy’ TaylorFury’s Former Opponent and Paul’s Sparring Partner
“On the other hand Jake is actually fighting high class athletes. You know, they might not be boxers, but they are world class athletes.
“Jake is twice as good as Tommy. Tommy only has that long reach. You take that long reach away and he becomes a mediocre fighter.
“Tommy is green, Tommy’s not anywhere near Jake’s level. I get it, people are going to say you’re biased because you train with Jake. But I fought Tommy, Tommy doesn’t have knockout power.
“When you look at Tyron Woodley, I guarantee you Tyron Woodley can knock out all the opponents that Tommy has fought.
“Same thing with Ben Askren. Ben Askren was out of his prime but a younger version of Ben would definitely have taken out everybody that Tommy’s fought.”

Tyson Fury breaks silence on Tommy’s Jake Paul fight and confirms he will fly out to Vegas to help Love Island star

Tyson, 33, tweeted: “Massive congratulations to @tommytntfury on his big big fight news. Living the dream daily. See you soon bro #VegasBabyVegas.”
SunSport were the first to exclusively reveal the celebrity fighting rivals had agreed terms for a Christmas cracker.
YouTube sensation Paul, 24, is 4-0 in his career and most recently beat ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39, in August.
It followed from knockout wins over online rival ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, both 37.
Paul, 22, meanwhile is 7-0 since his 2018 debut and recently beat Paul’s sparring partner Anthony Taylor, 32, the night Woodley lost.
The 2019 Love Island star is trained by his dad John, but due to a prior criminal conviction, the coach is unable to travel to America.

But Tyson will be in his brother’s corner and provide help in the training camp leading up to the fight.
John told BT Sport: “Tyson’s going to be in his corner that night. I think Tyson’s flying out there in a few weeks to help him out.
“Whatever desire he’s missing, Tyson will put there, I’m sure of that.
“Tyson will sort his head out so I’m looking for a Tommy win in explosive fashion – the end of Jake Paul.”

Tommy Fury’s dad John says Jake Paul ‘can’t beat’ Love Island star ‘no matter what’ ahead of December 18 grudge match

JOHN FURY said Jake Paul ‘can’t beat’ his son Tommy ‘no matter what’ ahead of their December 18 grudge match. The celebrity boxing rivals have finally confirmed their eagerly anticipated fight, set to take place in Miami, Florida.

John Fury says his son Tommy can’t be beaten by the YouTube star turned boxerCredit: Rex
Tommy is trained by his dad John, who opened up about the tough negotiations before the bout was signed.
He told BT Sport Boxing earlier this month: “They’re being awkward. The contract has been bizarre.
“If I was going go go through what they’ve put in the contract we’d be here all day.
“I’ve said yes to everything; yes, yes, yes, yes – do what you’ve got to do because I know Jake Paul can’t beat Tommy no matter what he does.”
Due to previous criminal convictions, John is unable to enter the US and will not be in Tommy’s corner on the night.
But he revealed his other son, unbeaten WBC heavyweight champion Tyson, will be and soon flies out to America where he will link up with his brother.

John said: “Tommy knows he’s up against a stacked deck, but he should still beat Jake Paul at a canter.
“And if he can’t, there’s no way in the boxing world for him.
“It’s make or break, for both men, but it’ll hit Tommy harder because Tommy’s supposed to be a professional boxer.
“Tommy will work hard, he’ll do what he’s gotta do. Has Tommy got the skill to beat him? Yes. Has he got the power to knock him out? Yes.
“All it is with Tommy – he’s young, can he handle the big occasion on the night?
“But I’m sure he’s thought about it many times before and he’s got the king of the ring in his corner.
“Tyson’s gonna be in his corner that night. I think Tyson’s flying out there in a few weeks to help him out.
“Whatever desire he’s missing, Tyson will put there, I’m sure of that.”
