Watch Tommy Fury show off slick defence in sparring against 6ft 7in boxer as footage leaks ahead of Jake Paul fight

TOMMY FURY’S slick defence has been revealed in leaked sparring footage ahead of his fight with Jake Paul. The British star faces YouTube sensation Paul on December 18 in Florida over eight rounds.

And a clip of Fury sparring 6ft 7in unbeaten cruiserweight Andrey Mangushev has recently being doing the rounds on social media and YouTube.
But the video is believed to be old, and may have been taken when the 2019 Love Islander was in America with brother Tyson in the summer.
Nevertheless, Fury’s defensive skills, slipping and parrying punches, as well as countering, were on full display.
Mangushev, based in Miami and 5-0, is a lot taller and experienced than Paul, and his promotional team Warriors Boxing appear to have released the footage.
Fury, 22, was in Florida with brother Tyson in the summer and returned to England and beat Jordan Grant in June.
In his next fight, he beat Paul’s sparring partner Anthony Taylor, the night the social media star won against ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39.

It set the pair up for their celebrity grudge match, but Fury has been based in Morecambe where he is being trained by Tyson.
And his sparring has all been under the watchful eye on the Gypsy King, in their private gym.
Meanwhile, Paul, 24, has been preparing for the second time in a row in Puerto Rico.
He is currently 4-0, with prior wins over YouTuber ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, also 37.
Fury, who is 7-0, is usually coached and cornered by his dad John, but the father is unable to travel Stateside due to a prior criminal conviction.

It means Tyson, 33, and his trainer Sugarhill Steward are set to lead the charge come fight night.
Fury was in Las Vegas with Sugarhill but was forced to fly back due to a family emergency.
He will now remain in the UK until the final two weeks where he will link up with Sugarhill once more.
The trainer told iFL TV: “He’s in good hands with trainer T over there. Any fighter I train can train other fighters, that’s just the way I teach it.
“He’s ok with Tyson over there. I’ll see those guys when they come over to the US, which is probably 10 or 11 days prior to the fight.
“We’ll put this all together then it’s knockout time baby.”

Jake Paul vows to ’embarrass’ Tommy Fury’s entire family including Tyson as he shows off gruelling neck exercise

JAKE PAUL hopes to be a pain in the neck to Tommy Fury’s family as he vowed to ’embarrass’ them while showing off his gruelling training. The fighting rivals will settle the score in Florida on December 18 with bragging rights and reputation on the line.

Fury is in training camp alongside brother Tyson, with the WBC heavyweight champion coaching and cornering the 2019 Love Island star.
Meanwhile, Paul has set up shop in Puerto Rico for the second fight in a row and posted a neck strengthening video.
And he captioned the post: “1 month to go until December 18th and a complete embarrassment of the Fury family.
“Mark your calendars now to witness history in Tampa.”
Boxing greats of the past and present including Floyd Mayweather, 44, Anthony Joshua, 32, and Tommy’s brother Tyson, 33, all used similar methods.
The technique is used to increase punch resistance and decreases the whiplash effect of sustaining a punch.

Fury, 22, recently hit out at Paul himself, after the YouTuber’s girlfriend uploaded a picture of them playing a dance pad game.
He posted: “Whilst Jake enjoys afternoons in the arcade playing dance mat with his side ting….. I thought I’d take 5 minutes out from the best camp of my life to say NOTHING can save you now.
“DECEMBER 18th, you’ll see that you can’t come in my world and not get hurt.”
In Paul’s first three fights, Paul beat YouTuber ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, also 37.
But in August, he improved to 4-0 with a win over eight rounds against ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39.
On the undercard, Fury beat Paul’s sparring partner Anthony Taylor, 32, to move to 7-0 and set up the mega-fight.

Tommy Fury has NO strengths over Jake Paul and will LOSE fight, claims Anthony Taylor who shared ring with both boxers

TOMMY FURY has been accused of having NO strengths over Jake Paul by the man who has shared the ring with them both. Anthony Taylor, a 7-5 MMA fighter, shot to recognition as one of Paul’s sparring partners.

But his profile increased further last August, when he was beaten over four rounds by Fury, brother to heavyweight champion Tyson.
That result set Fury, 22, up with a grudge match against Paul, 24, on December 18 in Florida.
And Taylor, not in camp with his celebrity fighting friend this time, predicted Fury will tire and lose in the later stages.
He told SunSport: “I think Jake TKO in the seventh round.
“His ring IQ is better, boxing IQ is better, his cardio is a lot better. Strategically, footwork-wise, Jake is better.
“When you really look at Jake, when he fought Tyron you can tell his footwork is better than Tommy’s.

“His ring IQ, the way he utilises the ring around him, the space, the ropes, but when you look at Tommy’s previous fights, he’s never fought anybody bar me.
“And he had a hard time against me. I’m 5’6, he was supposed to knock me out and he had a really hard time and he gassed out quick.
“When you’re going against a guy that’s taller than you, with boxing skills like Jake, Tommy’s going to have a really hard time.”
Paul’s first three wins were knockouts over online rival ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, also 37.
But he scored his biggest career win last time out over eight rounds against ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39.
Taylor’s MMA experience was used in sparring for the wins over Askren and Woodley while even affording him a spot on the undercard in the latter.
But Fury spoiled any chance of a cinderella upset for the former Bellator fighter.

Taylor has since likened Fury’s fight with Paul to Anthony Joshua’s loss to Oleksandr Usyk in September.
And he insisted his ex-rival does not posses the power capable of closing the show like has been previously promised.
Taylor, 32, said: “Tommy has no knockout power, he has pop and nothing else.
“People said I was comparing Jake to Usyk, no, I said this, the fight will be exactly like Anthony Joshua versus Usyk.
“Tommy Fury is going to be Anthony Joshua, throwing one-twos, very stationary, he comes forward.
“Jake will be like Usyk, moving around a lot, he’s going to use that whole ring, he’s going to pick his shots.

“He’s not going to stand and trade with Tommy, he’s going to move, bouncing. You seen against Tyron Woodley, he used the whole ring.
“He moved around a lot. And it’s going to be the same thing, just like that.”
Taylor’s friendship with Paul has landed him on the mega pay-per-view bill once again.
He fights Chris Avila, a training partner of Nate Diaz’s, who he beat only last year in the cage.
Taylor said: “Kudos to Chris Avila for stepping foot into that boxing ring, he’s a warrior for that.
“I give everybody their props when they step foot in that cage or ring. But no disrespect to him as a fighter, but I’m going to properly kick his butt.”

Muhsin Cason went from bouncer to boxer, is sparring partner of Jake Paul and KSI and brother to ex-champ Hasim Rahman

MUHSIN CASON never meant to follow his brother Hasim Rahman into boxing – but has quickly become a familiar face among boxing’s best. Rahman is the former heavyweight world champion, who famously knocked out Lennox Lewis in 2001.

But Cason, 21 years younger, had no interest in picking up the gloves until it was forced upon him as means to escape.
The current unbeaten cruiserweight needed out of Boston, where he was living at the time, and could only live with Rahman under one condition.
Cason, 28, told SunSport: “Of course I knew about boxing because of my brother, but I had no interest in it.
“I actually came into boxing by mistake, I needed to get away from a situation I was in while in Boston.
“And my brother said if I come to live with him in Vegas, I gotta box.”
Before boxing, Cason was a bouncer and it was while working the doors his natural talent was revealed.

He explained: “I was working with a guy called Travis – he’s a professional boxer too – at the club and we got into an incident where he had to put some guys out.
“The guy swung at me, I knocked him out with one punch and my friend said, ‘You gotta come to the gym’.
“At first I said no, but he kept asking me, and then when I needed to get out of Boston, I thought I’d try it.”
Before Cason was allowed to join Rahman in the fight capital of the world, he was sent to Philadelphia to first learn the ropes.
There, he sparred under the watchful eye of legendary coach Nazeem Richardson, who sadly died in July 2020.
Cason passed the test and moved to Sin City, where Rahman threw him in the deep end.
He revealed: “I was able to spar so many great fighters in a short span because of who my brother was, I was connected already.

“I was able to have a fast learning curve, he put me in there with four world champions before I even had my first seven amateur fights.”
Cason, now 9-0, has shared the ring with the likes of Caleb Plant, David Benavidez and Badou Jack, all ex-champions.
And among other top prospects, he has also been introduced to the new era of social media stars, crossing over to the boxing ring.
Cason was one of the sparring partners KSI – a British YouTuber – had in camp before winning his rematch with Logan Paul in 2019.
And despite learning the ropes from his famous brother and experienced veterans, Cason was taught new lessons by KSI & Co.
He said: “What I learned from the boxing game is that it’s changing, and I had to change with it.
“I’m watching KSI and for his first professional fight he’s making millions of dollars.
Muhsin Cason and British YouTube star KSICredit: Instagram @themuslimboxer
KSI pictured in training camp with Muhsin CasonCredit: Instagram @themuslimboxer
“But it’s not because of his skills, it’s because of how many butts he puts in seats.
“One thing I took from him was, OK I need to make sure I have a social presence, that way I can get on those big cards.
“As far as KSI, I have a lot of respect for him and Jake Paul, because they are willing to go above and beyond to make sure they get what they need done and create than fan base where it’s never going to leave.”
Cason also lent KSI’s friend ‘AnEsonGib’ a hand before the gamer was beaten by Jake Paul in 2020.
Since then, Paul, 24, has improved to 4-0 as a boxer and fights Tyson Fury’s brother Tommy, 22, next on December 18.
And thanks to Cason’s friendship with Paul’s assistant trainer J’Leon Love, he has been sparring the American celebrity in Puerto Rico.
Cason revealed: “They did approach me, but J’Leon Love is a very good friend of mine, we actually have a show together called the NeighborsShow.

“My relationship with him, I guess made me pop up on their radar as they needed top cruiserweights.”
Having mixed it with both the old and new generation, Cason resonated most with the words of wisdom he received after meeting Mike Tyson, 55, in August.
He said: “I would love to thank Amer Abdallah, my advisor, Badou Jack, a good friend of mine, as they brought me in the back to meet Mike Tyson.
“I had a great conversation with him. One thing I got was, money isn’t everything and don’t change yourself to get to that money.
“Because at the end of the day, the money can go, but it’s yourself that you have to deal with for the rest of your life.
“And I took that to heart, because I plan on making a lot of money in this sport and I plan on being a recognised face in this sport.
“With that I need to make sure that I am still Muhsin Cason.”

Jake Paul’s sparring partner calls for YouTuber and brother Logan to battle UFC’s Nick and Nate Diaz in two-fight series

JAKE and Logan Paul have been urged to secure a two-fight, battle of the brothers deal with Nick and Nate Diaz. The YouTubers have emerged as two of the most disputed and polarising figures in boxing.
Jake Paul, left, pictured with brother Logan are taking over boxingCredit: Instagram
Nate Diaz and brother Nick, are both UFC fighters and have been urged to fight the Pauls
Jake, who fights Tommy Fury on December 18, has called out UFC star Nate Diaz in the past.
And on his next undercard, former sparring partner Anthony Taylor, rematches Diaz’s team-mate Chris Avila.
And while Taylor does not have his eye on either of the Diaz brothers, he called on Jake and Logan to pit themselves against the UFC veterans.
He told SunSport: “I’m not worried about Nate or Nick.
“I’ll let Jake and Logan handle that if it needs to be. The Paul brothers versus the Diaz brothers.
“But what I can say I’m interested in would be fighting Jake Shields or Gilbert Melendez, Team Paul versus Team Diaz.”

Logan, 26, has only boxed three times before, twice against online rival KSI, with the first a white collar bout in 2018 which resulted a draw.
The American then lost the rematch a year later by scrappy split-decision when they turned professional.
Then, in June, Logan return in an extraordinary exhibition with Floyd Mayweather ring legend which ended with no winner after it went the distance.
The social media sensation is now rumoured to be in talks with Mike Tyson, 55, who made his comeback last November against Roy Jones Jr.
Meanwhile, Jake, 24, is 4-0 with wins over YouTuber ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, as well as former UFC pair Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley.

He even featured on the undercard of the latter, losing to Jake’s next opponent Fury, 22.
And he will again feature on the pay-per-view bill when his old sparring partner and opponent fight, facing old ground in Avila, who he beat in the cage last year.
Taylor said: “Jake’s manager Nakisa hit me up and said, ‘Hey, what do you know about Chris Avila?’
“And I’m like, ‘Well, me and Chris Avila don’t like each other’. I beat him up in Bellator and Nate didn’t like the fact I beat him up and was showboating.
“So Nakisa was like, ‘Look, I want you to fight Chris Avila, I think it will be a good win for you and a good fight’.”

Jake Paul says Tommy Fury ‘chose the wrong time to fight’ and warns ‘I’m coming for his head’ in celebrity grudge match

Fury, 22, is more experienced than the YouTuber at 7-0, and will be his first opponent with professional boxing experience.
Paul told TMZ Sport: “Everyone was like, ‘Fight a real boxer’, OK, here it is.
“Same height, same weight, same age. He’s 7-0, his brother’s the legendary Tyson Fury, who is the heavyweight champion of the world.
“He’s been boxing his whole entire life, amateur fights, so on and so forth, he’s got a big name, it’s the perfect fight.
“Definitely the toughest guy but, I’m coming for his head.
“He has a lot, a lot to deal with and he chose the wrong time to fight me, because I’m just not playing around this time.”

In his first three fights, Paul beat YouTuber ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, also 37.
But in August, he improved to 4-0 with a win over eight rounds against ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39.
Before the fight, the pair agreed the loser must get the winner’s name tattooed on them.
Instead, Woodley tried to convince Paul to give him a rematch if he lived up to the wager.
The MMA veteran later did get ‘I love Jake Paul’ on his finger, but it proved too little too late to get a rematch.
Paul said: “By the time he’d got the tattoo, we’d already moved on to fighting Tommy Fury and making that fight negotiation.
“I don’t think people really wanna see Tyron vs Jake Paul again. He had his chance. He had his chance.”

Jake Paul makes outlandish claim about Mike Tyson, Muhammad Ali and Floyd Mayweather ahead of Tommy Fury fight

Paul has previously knocked out ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, 37, retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, also 37, and ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39, to go 3-0 as a professional.
He also beat online rival ‘AnEsonGib’ in an amateur bout.
Now, in Fury, he faces a professional boxer for the first time in their December 18 PPV bout… and claims that makes his early career stands up alongside some of the sweet science’s all-time greats
He said: “Nobody from Muhammad Ali to Mike Tyson to Floyd Mayweather was testing themselves as much as I was in my fourth fight.
“I learned a lot about myself and what I’m capable of and performing under pressure.
“I look forward to bringing that experience to my next fight.”

Fury will be Paul’s first opponent with prior professional boxing experience, but Askren and Woodley were both former MMA champions.
In Mayweather’s fourth fight, he beat Edgar Ayala – who later lost three more times before retiring 0-4.
Tyson knocked out Ricardo Spain, who was 1-0 at the time, in his fourth fight.
Fury is more experienced at 7-0, but has fought only journeyman opposition, a regularity for most novice boxers.
And Paul, entering his third consecutive pay-per-view headliner, believes his opponent’s inexperience on the big stage will be his downfall.
He said: “Tommy claims to have been doing this his whole life and he’s had this amateur career, and he’s been around it and that is true, but he hasn’t worked as hard as me.

“I see a green guy who hasn’t sparred enough times and who has only been put in there with opponents that were meant to lose.
“This is his first real test where his opponent just doesn’t flop over. You’re going to see that.
“You’re going to see a fighter who is a virgin, in my opinion. He has no idea what he’s getting himself into.
“This is his first time under the big lights and on the big stage, and he’s going to crack under the pressure.”
