      FA Cup fans split on if BBC or ITV coverage is worse as match shown simultaneously – and even non-football fans raging

      COVERAGE of the FA Cup final on both BBC and ITV has been slammed by viewers as well as non-football supporters. Fans of Chelsea and Liverpool – which ended in a dramatic penalty shootout win for the Reds – were left furious over the choice of commentators for the big game.
      This fan was not content with the choice of commentators on both channels
      Again neither channel was winning the battle for viewership due to commentator selection
      Another fan was disgruntled at the coverage
      This fan questioned the broadcasters decision to show the same thing at the same time
      Those watching on the BBC were unhappy that Jermaine Jenas was co-commentator for the game alongside Guy Mowbray.
      Meanwhile, fans tuning into ITV were as equally annoyed to hear the voices of Sam Matterface and Lee Dixon.
      Plenty took to Twitter to express their anger.
      One tweeter said: “Imagine an FA cup final where it’s a choice of Matterface and Dixon or Jenas when (Ally) McCoist and (Clive) Tyldsley are sat at home. Both BBC and ITV are missing a trick for viewers.”

      The BBC’s coverage started at 4pm and is being hosted by Gary Lineker with analysis coming from Alan Shearer and Micah Richards.
      ITV’s coverage got started at 3.45pm with Mark Poutgatch presenting.
      Joe Cole, Roy Keane, Ian Wright, Robbie Fowler and Laura Woods joined Poutgatch.

      ITV issued THREE apologies after accidentally airing foul language and homophobic abuse in Crystal Palace’s FA Cup clash with Millwall.The broadcaster’s effects microphone picked up X-rated language in Saturday’s fiery third-round clash at The Den.

      Commentator Tyldesley first said: “We’d like to apologise if our effects microphone picked up some obscene language there a moment or two ago.”
      He later said: “Again, we must apologise for any foul language that has been picked up.”
      A third apology was issued in the second half.
      The highly-rated Gallagher failed to make an impact in the first half and quickly became a target for Lions fans.
      Homophobic chanting has marred several top-flight matches this season.

      THE BBC and ITV line-ups are out for Sunday’s Euro 2020 final and the heavyweight stars have secured their starting spots in the team.England take on Italy at Wembley with an 8pm kick-off at the home of football.
