Jake Paul claims he would ‘kick Conor McGregor’s a***’ in a boxing ring – but admits he is terrified by Mike Tyson

JAKE PAUL claims he would ‘kick Conor McGregor’s a***’ in the boxing ring – but admitted he is terrified of Mike Tyson.
YouTube sensation Paul returns to the ring this weekend with a fight against ex-NBA star Nate Robinson.

Jake Paul admitted he is terrified of Mike TysonCredit: Getty Images – Getty

McGregor is making his UFC return in January and Paul is adamant he has the beating of the Irish fighter.
Paul told BT Sport Boxing: “These MMA guys go to practice every day and have to spend their whole day on one thing – elbows, knees, grappling, take downs so there’s a lot they have to work on.
“But I’ve been going into the gym for the past three years and all I’ve been focusing on is boxing, so come over into my arena and you’re going to get your a** beat.
“Jake Paul vs Conor McGregor will happen. People think that’s crazy and Jake’s going to get his a** kicked but we’ll see.”

Tyson makes his long-awaited comeback on Saturday in an exhibition bout against Roy Jones Jr in Los Angeles but Paul is steering clear of challenging the infamous heavyweight to a fight.
Paul expects Iron Mike to be too powerful for his opponent although claims Jones Jr’s best chance is to prolong the fight.
Paul said: “I think Mike is so powerful and that power is just going to shock Roy especially with them being a lot older.

How Jake Paul and Nate Robinson compare ahead of their fight

“You can’t take as many punches like that. I think Mike wins in the second round.

“If it goes into the later rounds Roy could potentially come back and win on points just because he has that speed and that distance control.”
Paul is facing Robinson with the former NBA star making his boxing debut on the undercard of Tyson’s fight.

Watch Mike Tyson throw huge punch at enemy Floyd Mayweather Jr but Money doesn’t even flinch in stunning throwback video

MIKE TYSON and Floyd Mayweather have been on bad terms ever since 2001.
And Iron Mike nearly took the beef to a whole new level in 2014 when he pretended to punch him on stage.

The pair have been on bad terms since 2001Credit: YouTube / ESNEWS

But the stunt did not faze ‘Money’ Mayweather who laughed it off and proceeded to awkwardly hug the heavyweight icon.
The pair reportedly fell out after a 2001 police raid on Tyson’s Las Vegas home which Iron Mike accused Mayweather of calling.
Tyson could never prove Mayweather’s involvement and later admitted he was over it.
He said: “I’m good with it now. You can forgive, but you have to remember.”

But this was not the case in 2014, when the two met on stage at a boxing event.
Mayweather could be seen shaking hands with other well known boxing guests before Tyson rushed up to him.
Mayweather held his hand out to shake but Tyson ignored and it threw a punch at the middleweight champ – deliberately missing his face by just inches.
Money did not even flinch and instead smiled and awkwardly hugged Tyson – who makes a comeback to the ring this Saturday against Roy Jones Jr.

The footage seems to show the incident ending in a jovial fashion but that illusion was shattered a year later when Tyson slammed Mayweather for suggesting he was the greatest boxer of all time.
Iron Mike said: “He’s very delusional.
“Listen, if he was anywhere near that realm of great as Muhammad Ali, he’d be able to take his kids to school by himself.
“OK, he can’t take his kids to school by himself, and he’s talking about he’s great?
“Greatness is not guarding yourself from the people.
“It’s being accepted by the people. He can’t take his kids alone to school by himself. He’s a little scared man. He’s a very small, scared man.”
Tyson also revealed his one fantasy fight would be against Mayweather.
Mayweather recently opened up on another feud – this time with rapper 50 Cent.
And YouTuber Logan Paul is sparring again having called Mayweather out – saying he ‘would snap the f***er in half’.

Joe Joyce camp in chaos ahead of Daniel Dubois fight as trainer Ismael Salas gets coronavirus and will NOT be in corner

JOE JOYCE is heading into his must-win Daniel Dubois fight without coach Ismael Salas after he caught coronavirus in Las Vegas.
The Cuban coach – famous for using 8in platform boots to help hold pads for the 6ft 6in juggernaut – was hurried out of the Westminster fight hotel on Wednesday after the red flag.

Joe Joyce will not have coach Ismael Salas in his corner on Saturday night after the Cuban contracted coronavirusCredit: BT Sport

Incredibly, Joyce’s management team understood all the risks of the trainer spending three weeks working with two other fighters in Sin City and still refused to appoint a top-level sub, to help the 35-year-old in the biggest fight of his pro career.
Salas spent all of October working with Joyce, flew away on the 31st and returned on Saturday and was strictly isolated from Joyce and his team in a bid to ace the tests.
But the crucial news has rocked the camp and left respected but inexperienced Steve Broughton as the lead trainer.
Joyce’s lawyer, Adam Morallee said: “We were concerned about Salas going back to Vegas.

“Being in a gym around other fighters we were concerned that he might contract coronavirus, it was a risk.
“We put measures in place to make sure that when he arrived back in the country, he was isolated from everyone.
“He has been away from everyone, especially Joe, he has been in a separate hotel, he got a separate taxi here, he was tested alone and went to his room.
“Then his test came back positive and he had to go straight home.”

The all-British heavyweight showdown was postponed from April and has hit further complicationsCredit: Getty Images – Getty

The fight was initially planned for April 11 at the O2, and Joyce flew out to train in Nevada in February and spar UFC giants like Francis Ngannou.
But the first Covid-19 lockdown and travel restrictions wrecked that £60,000 camp and Joyce did the remainder of his training at a gym in Surbiton, Surrey.
Salas made it over briefly but would not cancel his deals with Julio Ceja, who fights on December 5 and Felix Verdejo a week later.
Now the 2016 Olympic silver winner heads into the British and Commonwealth clash with only Broughton and legendary veteran Jimmy Tibbs to lean on during rounds.
Morallee added: “Joe should have trained in Vegas with his coach but coronavirus has screwed everything up for everybody.
“Salas is a top coach with a lot of fighters and he tried to prioritise Joe Joyce, he did get over here, but he had to go back to Vegas because he is a loyal guy.
“Did we think about bringing in another trainer? Yes. But we believe that Steve Broughton is a world-class trainer and we have the experience of Jimmy Tibbs, who has been in the corner for every Joe Joyce UK fight.
“Joe is absolutely fine, Steve has been his main trainer since May. We wanted Salas with us the whole time but he had to work with his other fighters so he was unable to. We knew the risks.”

Mike Tyson could weigh the SAME as Roy Jones Jr in their fight after dramatic body transformation, trainer reveals

MIKE TYSON and Roy Jones Jr could end up weighing the SAME during their fight.
The American legends come out of retirement for eight exhibition rounds on Saturday.

And Tyson – who has not fought in 15 YEARS – goes in the betting favourite, armoured with the size and power advantages.
But Jones’ cornerman Tom Yankello revealed the former four-division champion will weigh as high as 210lb (15stone) for the fight.
And thanks to Iron Mike’s dramatic body transformation ahead of his comeback, the two may end up tipping the scales in similar fashion.
Yankello told SunSport: “Mike is a small heavyweight, it’s not liked Roy is that outsized.

“He’s a little bit taller, and the weight will be very similar from what I understand, I understand Mike is down as light as 210 even.
“Roy’s going to probably come in around 205-210.”
The heaviest Tyson, who stands 5ft 10in, fought at was 17st, the night he stopped Brian Nielsen after six rounds in 2001.
But his years in retirement saw him balloon all the way up to over 21st.

That was until earlier this year he made the shock announcement that he is returning to the ring, in order to raise money for charity.
He has spent the year whipping himself into frightening shape under the guidance of MMA coach Rafael Cordeiro.
And in an interview with ESPN, Tyson, 54, revealed he expects to weigh anywhere from 15.7-16st.
He said: “I don’t know, 220 maybe, 225, something like that.”

It could mean Jones, 51, does in fact end up outweighed by a stone.
But Yankello – who has spent nine weeks training with the American great – believes Jones’ superior boxing brain could nullify the size difference.
He explained: “Mike’s been fighting heavyweights his whole life, he’s fighting a guy here with a more versatile skillset than anyone he has ever fought.
“And arguably against the greatest athlete to ever lace up gloves too.
“Mike stamped people’s minds with what he did in the 80s and 90s and they kind of forget about how long he’s been out the ring.”
