Tyson Fury will NEVER face Wilder again after glove tampering claims and nobody can stop Anthony Joshua bout, says Arum

TYSON FURY will never fight Deontay Wilder again after the Bronze Bomber’s list of excuses for why he lost his WBC crown.
The Gypsy King’s co-promoter Bob Arum reassured fans that the American would not prevent Fury’s heavyweight showdown with Anthony Joshua.

Brit champ Fury inflicted Wilder’s first professional defeat when they clashed in the ring for the second time last February, following their initial bout ending in a draw.
But the one-sided nature of the fight hasn’t quelled a stream of excuses that have flowed ever since.
Among the reasons Wilder has blamed for his defeat have been his heavy ring-walk outfit and allegations that his drinking water had been spiked.
The Bronze Bomber also claimed that dodgy gloves allowed Fury to cut his ears with his fingernails – despite zero evidence.

Tyson Fury has said to me and the mediator, ‘Not today, not tomorrow, and not ever’ will he ever fight Wilder after what Wilder said to him
    Bob Arum

And Arum has revealed that Wilder’s behaviour has ruined any chance of earning redemption in a trilogy bout.
He told to Barbershop Conversations: “There’s no mediation. I mean, there has been over Christmas, and New Year, there was mediation.
“I don’t know, maybe the mediator will be able to solve the situation, but we got a real problem because Tyson Fury has said to me and the mediator, ‘Not today, not tomorrow, and not ever’ will he ever fight Wilder after what Wilder said to him.
“He [Fury] regards is not only as a slur against him but against the Gypsy nation.”

Arum later stated that Fury won’t have to give up the green strap to pursue an all British unification showdown with Joshua.
He added: “Why would he have to release the [WBC] belt?
“I don’t want to get into any legalities, but the idea of anyone stopping the Fury – Joshua fight, it just can’t happen. The WBC belt isn’t an issue.”

Eight venues that could host Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua after location ‘confirmed’ from Qatar stadium to Fight Island

ANTHONY JOSHUA’S Battle of Britain against Tyson Fury now has a ‘confirmed’ location.
However, where that is remains a mystery for now.

Anthony Joshua has fought all over the world – but fight fans will be hoping the Fury clash will be on home soil after he beat Kubrat Pulev

Fury’s promoter Bob Arum has disclosed that the fighters have reached agreement on where the mega-fight will take place.
WBC king Fury and WBA, WBO and IBF champ Joshua agreed to two fights last year.
Arum says they can expect to bank £73million each from the first fight.
While the UK would be the fans’ choice, with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Eddie Hearn is more than open to fighting in a ‘wacky’ location.

Here, SunSport checks out eight potential venues that could be in the running to house the mouthwatering battle.
    Wembley Stadium
Being the national stadium, Wembley is a firm favourite to hold such a monumental boxing clash.
Joshua has already sold out the 90,000 capacity London venue when he beat Wladimir Klitschko in a thriller in 2017 to become unified champ.
He went on to defend his titles against Alexander Povetkin there too in September 2018.

It would be Fury’s first fight at Wembley – but he has won twice at the Arena next door.
The UK seems an unlikely option for the first fight – due to both coronavirus and the riches on offer abroad – but could be the preferred option for the second bout in the two-fight deal that’s been agreed.

    Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
The futuristic North London venue deserves to hold an event of such magnitude.
Hearn seems a fan, previously touting it for prospective giant boxing clashes including the initial plans for Joshua to face Pulev.
Housing just over 62,000 and with travel links decent enough and set to be upgraded, the home of Spurs could be the favourite.

    Principality Stadium
Promoter Hearn and Joshua were raving after the Welsh stadium hosted AJ’s victory against Joseph Parker in March 2018.
There was even the chance of Joshua’s rematch against Andy Ruiz Jr happening there, until the millions of Saudi Arabia came knocking.
With Fury from the north and Joshua the south, this would play the part of a neutral 74,000 capacity venue.

    Old Trafford
Fury has often spoke of his dreams to have a world title fight in his hometown of Morecambe.
But that might be a little too much for the quaint seaside town.
Sixty miles down the road is Manchester, and the 76,000-capacity home of his beloved football club, United.
The Gyspy King has previously been paraded out on the hallowed turf at half-time of a Premier League game.

    Lusail Iconic Stadium
Many expect the fight to be heading to the Middle East with a specially-constructed arena in Saudi Arabia hosting AJ’s win over Andy Ruiz Jr.
With Hearn accepting that the fight may not take place in the UK, Qatar may emerge as a serious contender for the honour.
The hosts of the 2022 World Cup have a whole host of new venues on the way, including the 80,000-seater Lusail Iconic Stadium that will host the final.
Due to be completed in May, what better opening event than a heavyweight world unification fight?

    Fight Island
Dana White’s UFC spectacle was able to continue throughout the pandemic by setting up at Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi.
The unique location may be an option if fans are still unable to attend this unification battle.
And few could doubt the UAE’s ability to pull out the cash to land the fight.

    Saudi Arabia
Another proven destination for major sporting events in recent years has been Saudi Arabia.
It took just weeks for Saudi authorities to construct a 15,000-seater venue to host Joshua’s rematch with Ruiz Jr in Riyadh.
The three-sided gladiator-style arena boasted plenty of space for VIP guests and for fighters to prepare, so a fresh deal with Hearn is hardly difficult to imagine.

    Las Vegas
The traditional home of boxing world title fights.
It would be foolish to rule out the MGM Grand or another top Vegas venue, including the Raiders’ new Allegiant Stadium.
The NFL ground was initially selected for Fury’s trilogy match-up with Deontay Wilder.
However, Arum has indicated the fight will be on at UK prime time, making the US a logistically trickier option.

Joshua vs Fury will be ‘one of the biggest events of the century’ and ‘first humongous fight in social media era’

ANTHONY JOSHUA and Tyson Fury would be the ‘first humongous fight in the social media era’.
And with the pair on the verge of potential double header, WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman is in no doubt it will be ‘one of the biggest events of the century’.

Joshua, 31, and Fury, 32, are still in talks but edging closer to agreeing a two-fight deal.
It would be the first time in heavyweight history that the WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO belts are at stake.
And with the Brit stars sharing almost 21million social media followers between them, the historic undisputed title decider promises to be exposed to a bigger audience than ever before.
Sulaiman told SunSport: “This will be the first humongous fight in the social media era.

“It is such a different era, from radio, then television, pay-per-view, now with the social media events, they get a completely different magnitude worldwide.
“If that fight is to happen it’s going to be without a doubt the biggest event of the century and one of the biggest in the sport.”
The heavyweight division has not crowned an undisputed champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999.
But an asterix must be attached as at the time, the WBO crown AJ currently owns was not considered a major title.

Sulaiman oversaw Lewis become WBC king during that time period, where he claimed iconic wins over Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson.
Not since then has the boxing’s blue riband division seen such thriving attention.
But as Fury emerged the victor in a pair of thrillers with Deontay Wilder, 35, to set up a showdown with Joshua, eyeballs are back on the heavy-hitters once again.
Sulaiman said: “I would say it’s the biggest fight since Lennox Lewis against Mike Tyson or Evander Holyfield.
“I think each era belongs to it’s history of when it happened, but without a doubt Fury vs Joshua is a huge event that will go to the record books.”

Jake Paul calls out Conor McGregor protege Dylan Moran after Irish star said he would put Paul brothers ‘to sleep’

JAKE PAUL has hit back at Conor McGregor’s sparring partner Dylan Moran after the boxer vowed to KO the YouTuber.
The Irish welterweight recently vowed to teach Paul and his older brother, Logan, ‘some manners’ if they show up to Abu Dhabi for McGregor’s UFC 257 rematch with Dustin Poirier.

It didn’t take long for Paul to get wind of Moran’s threat, which he responded to his Instagram story.
He said: “Conor’s taking easy fights. But he’s been sparring in Ireland!”
In a clearly sarcastic tone, Paul added: “He’s been boxing, going against some phenomenal, exciting Irish talent.
“This kid must be really good, because Conor’s a ‘good boxer’ right? And then we looked this kid up!

“Ladies and gentlemen, presenting to you: the big, bad, exciting Irish talent – Dylan Moran, the kid that Conor McGregor is sparring against. Take a look!”

Paul’s story then cut to footage of Moran being dropped three times in his 2019 loss to Dennis Okoth.
The final image was of Moran on the canvas, a snap which included the accompanying caption: “This is who Conor is calling a phenomenal boxer.”

Paul’s trolling of Moran is his latest attempt to get under the skin of The Notorious, who he’s desperate to fight.
The 23-year-old has been campaigning relentlessly for a bout with the Dubliner since his stunning KO of Nate Robinson last November, going as far as to direct message the former two-division UFC champion on Instagram.

In an expletive-laden Instagram video, Paul said to Mystic Mac: “What the f** is up you Irish c**t? Good morning Conor McGregor.
“I know you’re probably beating up old dudes in a bar right now or maybe you’re j**ing off as you’re sick of f***ing your wife, I mean, she’s a four [out of ten], Conor you could do a lot better, but happy Monday!
“My team sent you a $50 million offer this morning, $50 million cash, proof of funds, the biggest fight offer you’ve ever been offered.
“But you’re scared to fight me Conor. You duck me as you’re scared to fight a YouTuber.

“You’re 0-1 as a boxer, I’m 2-0 as a boxer. I just came off the eighth biggest pay-per-view event in history.
“But you want to fight Dustin Poirier, who has less followers on Instagram than my f***ing dog, that’s a fact.
    “And Dana White, you’re a f***ing p***y, you ugly f***ing bald bitch.
“You said there’s zero per cent chance of this fight happening but there’s zero percent of you getting some p****.
“Conor, you’re scared, Dana, you’re scared. Sign the f***ng contract you idiots. Irish b***h, f**k these guys.”

The forgotten heavyweight champ who was shot FOUR times outside kebab shop, had double hip replacement and now eyeing AJ

MANUEL CHARR’S name has flown so far under the heavyweight boxing radar he’s been able to change it without anyone noticing.
The Germany-based, Lebanon-born Syrian was a huge success story at the start of his career.

Mahmoud Charr is the forgotten heavyweight trying to make a comebackCredit: Getty Images – Getty

He fled the civil war that claimed his father’s life, overcame a crippling hip condition – and a near-fatal shooting – to clinch a world honour, albeit a second-rate version.
But, since outpointing Alexander Ustinov for the World Boxing Association’s trinket title in November 2017, he has not had a single fight while the likes of Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury, Andy Ruiz Jr and Deontay Wilder have won and lost titles and made millions.
In April 2019, in the middle of his hiatus, Charr reverted to his childhood name of Mahmoud, stating: “Manuel is a name given to me by German marketers. I didn’t choose it, and I didn’t want it.
“I am Mahmoud, the name my parents chose for me, it means beloved of God.”

And that is sadly the closest the 36-year-old has got to making headlines in four long years, as boxing has been able to bypass him during a booming time for his division.
It started off so well, too, Charr was a prodigious young muay thai and Thai boxing fighter before turning pro in 2005 and his 18th consecutive win came against Britain’s infamous journeyman Danny Williams.
Seven years into his career he dived in too deep and was brutalised by WBC champ Vitali Klitschko over four one-sided 2012 rounds.
The elder Klitschko brother thumped him to the floor at the end of the second round and then clipped him with a left hook that opened a relentless gash that squirted blood all over his torso.

When the ringside doctor waved the fight off over fears for Charr’s right eye, he went on an angry rampage, kicking and punching the Moscow ropes and offering Dr Ironfist the chance to decide the fight outside of the rules and regulations.
Little brother Wladimir even jumped into the ring to keep things cool.
After four rebuilding bouts, Charr relocated his career to Russia where he lost three out of six when he stepped up against Alexander Povetkin, Johann Duhaupas and Mairis Briedis.
Then, in September 2015, Charr’s life was almost snuffed out by a cowardly trigger-happy Facebook troll.
After repeated insults, Charr dared the critic to meet him face-to-face.
Instead, while eating a late night kebab in Essen, he had four bullets pumped into his stomach instead of a chicken shish with extra chilli sauce.
Incredibly Charr was only out of the ring a total of nine months, proving his current lack of action is not the result of a lack of courage.
But after two tune-ups he was informed the chronic pain in his pelvis was congenital hip dysplasia and he needed a double replacement, at the age of just 32.

The incident came after an argument with a Facebook trollCredit: Instagram / @mahmoudcharr

Charr had a double hip replacement at just 32-years-oldCredit: Getty Images – Getty
Revitalised by the surgery, Charr faced a fading Ustinov and earned a unanimous decision after dropping him in the eighth.
His first defence was set to follow a year later after against Fres Oquendo but VADA found steroids epitrenbolone and drostanolone in his system and he served a six month-ban.
In the summer of 2020, Charr chased a fight with Andy Ruiz Jr but was repeatedly rebuffed by the little Mexican who dethroned Joshua for the last six months of 2019.
And now he is slated to face the WBA’s mysterious interim champ Trevor Bryan on January 29, who legendary promoter Don King has guided to a 20-0 record with bouts in obscure US casinos as well as the Dominican Republic and Colombia.
Charr does not look like a man who is finished with the sport, he still parades his black and gold belt proudly and visits schools in Germany to discuss his inspirational story.
But any momentum the 31-4 fighter once had, in and out of the ring, is long gone.

Charr still sleeps with his beltCredit: Instagram / @mahmoudcharr
And if Joshua and Fury are really considering ditching the four major titles they share, to clear the path of mundane mandatories for their mouthwatering double header, who will really care about the WBA bauble Charr has let go stale?
But an eye-catching win early in 2021, could recapture the attention of fight fans around the world.
And the Arabic community, taking a growing interest in boxing, would go wild for a heavyweight boxing champion to call their own.
Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Abu Dhabi have all offered to host the first leg of AJ vs Fury, while the UK tries to get a grip of the Covid-19, and those regions would leap at the chance to have a Muslim heavyweight on a card soon.

Eddie Hall reveals incredible three-year body transformation from winning World’s Strongest Man to new shredded physique

EDDIE HALL has shown off his stunning body transformation after dropping over 30kg for his fight with Hafthor Bjornsson.
The eagerly awaited clash of the titans – dubbed the heaviest boxing match in history – will take place in Las Vegas this September.

Eddie Hall has revealed his shredded physique on Instagram

The former World’s Strongest Man has trimmed down for the mega boxing contest

Both men have switched up their training routines for the heavyweight clash, having previously been rivals in the World’s Strongest Man competition.
While Bjornsson, aka Thor, has been boasting of his new, leaner physique, Hall has also been trimming the pounds.
The Brit, 32, posted before and after photographs on Instagram comparing his build in 2017 and today.
    He wrote: “Left ⬅️2017 @ 196kg / 432lbs 💪 Right➡️2021 @ 161kg / 355lbs 🤽‍♂️.

“Three years difference and 36kg lost!”
Hall may be cutting his weight in preparation for the fight but he is still building muscle like nobody’s business – putting away 7,000 calories a day.
Six meals a day are prepared for the giant by his wife, Alex, with curries, baked potatoes and plenty of vegetables on the menu.
The Beast is also undergoing a gruelling cardio regime to build his fitness for the showdown.

And he will have no trouble motivating himself when going face to face with Thor, given the pair’s long-term rivalry.
Hall said last year: “Me and Hafthor have been big-time competitors for a long time.
“We’ve got a hell of a history competing against one another.
“We absolutely f***ing despise each other beyond belief. If he was on fire I wouldn’t p*** on him.”
The Icelandic deadlift world-record holder, who shot to stardom as The Mountain in Game Of Thrones, will prove tough competition for Hall – but the Brit has been backed to win by fellow bodybuilder Jamie Johal.
He told SunSport in November: “I think Eddie will win because Eddie is a savage.

“It’s his mentality, I think he’s got more of an aggressive mentality which will carry him through.
“I think Thor, as big as he is, I think he is more of a gentle giant. I might be wrong.
“I think Eddie has the edge on a mentality aspect as he is just a brute.”
