Anthony Joshua fight with Tyson Fury could be held at 72,000 Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas after agreement for clash

ANTHONY JOSHUA could face Tyson Fury at the 72,000 seater Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, it has been claimed.
The heavyweight kings have a deal nailed on to fight in the summer, but contracts are yet to be signed.

Fury’s US promoter Bob Arum told iFL TV: “As far as I’m concerned, I’ve been working on it and all of the points have been agreed to.”
And Frank Warren added: “The fight is very close to being done now. It’s all Covid-19 related but I think it will go on some time in June, latest July.”
According to the Daily Mail, the revelation that the undisputed title decider could be pushed back to July brings in the possibility of the Allegiant Stadium hosting.
It is the home of NFL giants Las Vegas Raiders, which opened up last year after just under three years of construction.

As yet, no fans have been able to attend games amid coronavirus restrictions, with matches played behind closed doors.
It is being touted as a new venue for mega boxing events and can hold up to 75,000 fight fans, opposed to 65,000 in NFL games.
Floyd Mayweather, 44, even revealed his exhibition with Logan Paul, 25, originally set for February 20, was postponed to instead move to the Allegiant.
Saudi Arabia, which hosted AJ’s December 2019 rematch win over Andy Ruiz Jr, is leading the race to hold the Battle of Britain with Fury.

But America, Qatar, Dubai, Singapore and China have also all expressed their interest in hosting.
With the pandemic fall-out unlikely to allow for 90,000 fans back into Wembley stadium for a while, the UK has to hope to host the rematch of the planned two-fight deal.
Joshua, 31, and Fury, 32, for the first time in heavyweight history, will put all four WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO belts on the line. More

Tommy Fury mocks Jake Paul as he wears Molly Mae’s blonde wig and tells ‘massive p***y’ rival to stick to YouTube

TOMMY FURY has mocked bitter rival Jake Paul as the prospect of the two boxers meeting in the ring grows.
The younger brother of WBC heavyweight champ Tyson donned a blond wig as he told the American to ‘stick to your little YouTube videos’.

Tommy Fury donned a blond wig to tell Jake Paul to ‘stick to YouTube’

The two are firing shots at each other on social media after Tyson called for the pair to fight.
But Jake Paul wasn’t sure if it was a joke, saying that ‘if Tyson Fury took a s***, it would be his little brother – this little kid’.
This led Tommy to post a video telling Paul to ‘get in touch’ – and now he has stoked those fires still further.
Sharing a clip on Twitter and attempting an American accent, Tommy, 21, said: “Sorry bro, I didn’t see you there, I was too busy being a massive p***y”.

The Love Island star then gets back to being British, adding: “Jesus Christ, I don’t know how you take yourself seriously looking like this, my god.
“I put it on a plate for you, I asked you if you weant to fight and you decided to laugh it off, as per usual.
“Stick to your little YouTube videos behind your little desk and don’t come over to this boxing world cause you’ll get laid out in 30 seconds flat.”
Light-heavyweight Tommy extended his record to 5-0 at the weekend, dispatching of journeyman Scott Williams.

Tommy is predicting a 30-second win if he does fight Jake Paul

Paul’s next fight is on April 17, facing retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 36.
Tommy has won twice since coming out of ITV’s popular villa, where he was runner-up alongside girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague.

Meet Britain’s Mike Tyson – Freezy MacBones – who is smashing rivals with brutal power and impressing rapper 50 Cent

BRITISH boxing may have a modern day version of Mike Tyson coming through the amateur ranks.
Preferring to go by his ring persona Freezy MacBones, the 31-year-old is poised to turn pro – and he has already enjoyed a stunning audition.

Freezy MacBones is happy with the comparison to Mike Tyson

MacBones made people sit up and take notice a couple of years ago with a viral KO

The 31-year-old Ghana-born boxer left his opponent flat on his back

A trial fight was arranged by a promotional company, wanting to see what the Brixton-based slugger was all about.
He went in the ring against a man significantly bigger, but soon had him knocked spark out with his head resting on the bottom rope.
That came in 2019 – and now the Ghana-born bruiser is ready to make his first steps into pro boxing.
The light-heavyweight told Sky Sports: “Everything was cool until he hit me hard.

“A week later I’ve seen the video, 50 Cent, [Floyd] Mayweather, everyone was posting it. It was crazy.
“Everyone was asking, who is this guy? That’s how it happened.”
And on comparisons with the a certain American known as ‘The Baddest Man On The Planet’, MacBones added: “I like it. I’m happy they call me Britain’s Mike Tyson.
“Let’s put joking aside, that’s what I asked for and I have it.”

MacBones has trained with Anthony Joshua

The Brixton brawler, 31, has a peekaboo style – just like Tyson

MacBones showed off his strength when he met Joshua

Tyson was described as having a ‘peekaboo style’ of boxing, using the angles and ducking in and out – something MacBones clearly follows judging by his training clips.
And of course there was the stunning 44 KOs in 56 fights that made him one of the most-feared heavyweights of his time.
MacBones moved to London from Ghana four years ago – but has already created a menacing aura about him.
He has shared clips of him in the gym with current WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champ Anthony Joshua.

MacBones has six amateur losses – but does not believe these will define how far he can go in the pro game.
MacBones added: “A lot of criticism comes to you. How did this guy lose six? He’s not Mike Tyson, he’s not that.
“Amateur is a foundation. It’s the foundation of boxing before you turn pro. If you don’t have any amateur record or history, how can you become a good boxer?
“I use my losses to motivate me to become who I am. It makes me savage, an animal.”

Winning his first world title aged just 20, Tyson bamboozled opponents for over a decade, and was known for his ferocious power.
But according to popular karate expert and YouTuber Jesse Enkamp, Iron Mike was also a master of of the martial art.
Enkamp said on his YouTube channel: “To be honest, old school boxing looks very similar to traditional karate, because both are done without any protection (bare-knuckles), and you don’t really use any rules.”
He also added: “As I like to say, don’t be a martial artist… be a ‘smartial’ artist.

“Mike Tyson is a karate master.”
Enkamp enlisted the help of boxing trainer Jay Elder to help his theory.
But Elder didn’t necessarily agree with all of his suggestions.
He said: “That means Tyson’s got to be quicker than the other person because he’s further away (from them), but he’s rolling off his shoulders and his hips to throw.

    “It’s a lot more square.
“He’s incredibly fast, and if you watch he’s just bobbing, rolling and throwing. I’ve never seen that in karate.”
With Enkamp repeatedly needing to be told to keep his head down, Elder adds: “That’s a karate habit, because you want to keep your head back. So the chin is a little bit up.
“That’s a huge difference between karate and boxing.”

He then explains: “Because you kick in karate, you have to have a more upright body.
“You need the space to kick.
“Whereas boxing, I’m not going to throw my legs.

Teofimo Lopez looking to LEAVE Top Rank and start his own Takeover Promotions after George Kambosos Triller fight

TEOFIMO LOPEZ is looking to end his relationship with Top Rank – just four months after his stunning victory over Vasily Lomachenko.
The unified lightweight champion has been at loggerheads with his promoter due to their refusal to meet his demands to face George Kambosos Jr.

Unable to reach a deal with Top Rank, a frustrated Lopez took his mandatory bout with Kambosos Jr to a purse bid – which was won last week by Triller.
And The Takeover hopes to part ways with veteran promoter Bob Arum as soon as possible.
During an appearance on Sirius XM radio, Lopez said: “Yeah, I see myself within maybe this fight or my next fight, I’ll be a free agent.
“There’s so much proof for me to get out of this Top Rank contract that they gave me the golden ticket.

“Todd DuBoef gave me the golden ticket by doing so. They already dug a bigger hole than they needed to.”
Lopez, 23, has lofty ambitions of starting his own boxing promotion.

He added: “The Takeover Promotions will be in effect and it’ll be Takeover Promotions times a network, God willing and that’s what I’m looking forward to.

“ESPN, PBC, Triller, the list could go on and on. DAZN, I mean there’s so many guys and I know that I bring all that to the platform.”
The American bears no ill will towards his current promoters but believes his career will be better served if they part ways.
He said: “They need to get their big boy pants on because I don’t see them getting out of this one. I just don’t.
“I’m a young fighter, but I’m someone that has never been disrespectful to anyone.
“For Top Rank, I love everything they’ve done for me. It’s hard to go this way, but hey, I wish them nothing but the best.

“We’ll go our separate ways, and we go from there. I think this is great for the sport, and this is great for myself and my career.
“It sucks that it had to go this way, but it’s good that there’s a way out.
“There’s a Plan-B. I’ll be in LA this week to meet with Ryan Kavanaugh [of Triller], a guy that actually has faith in me.”
Lopez is hoping to have a busy 2021, setting his sights on three outings this year.
He said: “I’m shooting for May, sometime in the summer, and then at the end of the year.
“I’ll be a free agent, and we can make those types of fights happen as well.
“I’m hearing May 29th on Triller in the main event, and then we can look for the co-main attraction and so on and so forth.
“I think we’re talking about Miami, Florida. Dallas, Texas could be another thing.”

Derek Chisora slams standard of British boxing judges and ‘shambles’ scorecards after latest farce at Matchroom show

DEREK CHISORA has hit out at the standard of officiating in Britian following Zelfa Barrett’s wide points win against Kiko Martinez.
The heavyweight star has criticised the ‘shambles’ scorecards after a battered and bruised Barrett was somehow awarded the victory against the Spaniard.

Derek Chisora has criticised the standard of British boxing judgesCredit: PA:Press Association

Steve Gray, Bob Williams and Howard Foster scored the bout 118-111, 118-111 and 116-113 in Barrett’s favour, who many believed should have lost.
Commenting on last month’s decision, Chisora told talkSPORT: “I think boxing has changed. You know, as fighters we fight and we train hard.
“But when guys wake up and go from their house and go to the side of the ring and wear their glasses and have a cup of tea.
“Then they start judging when these guys are going at it, toe-to-toe.

“And then they give those kind of shambles scorecards? That is bad.”
Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn also hit out at the judges awarding Barrett the win, despite the super-featherweight competing under his banner.
Fearing decisions like that may stop boxers from fighting in the UK, Hearn said: “It was very close but 118-111 is absolutely disgusting for Martinez.
“If Zelfa won, he won it by one or two rounds. 118-111 does nobody any favours.

“How will we bring world-class fighters to this country with scorecards like that?
“After all that effort Martinez might as well have boxed off his back foot and had an easy night.”
Chisora – who hasn’t fought since being outpointed by Oleksandr Usyk in October – has been called out by Joseph Parker.
Taking to Twitter after his victory against Junior Fa, he tweeted: “Haha @DerekWarChisora getting cocky are we?
“You’ve barely fought out of the UK, never out of Europe, and scared to visit New Zealand!
“Come down to NZ if you think you’ve got what it takes donkey.
    “I’ll finish this anywhere.”
