Thor is preparing to meet his strongman rival Eddie Hall in September in what has been dubbed the ‘heaviest boxing match in history’.

“It will be interesting and I’m looking forward to unloading and testing his chin and I can’t wait to put some bombs on his chin and see how he handles it.
“It’s a little bit of fun and enjoyable. I’m just going to take it to a street fight and see how big his balls are.
“It’s a bit of fun, it’s a good old tear up, exactly what I like. He’s got a lot of media attention. Hats off to him wanting to get in the ring.

“I don’t really know how to go about it as you can’t really box on the outside. You can’t really keep your distance and box.
“My plans are, from the first bell, is to put it on him and just get stuck straight into him from the first bell.
“I think that’s the only way to approach a guy of that size is to put him straight on his toes and have a fight.”

Upon accepting the role, Foxx began a rigorous training regime in order to build up his frame.
And judging from his recent Instagram story, the hard work seems to have paid off.
Earlier this week, Foxx posted a topless picture of himself flexing to his Instagram story.
His chest looked drastically bigger than his fans are used to seeing, although it’s still a way away from the barrel Tyson had in his prime.
Foxx opened up on his training regime during an Instagram Live last June, saying: “What I’m doing right now is changing the body.
“So now, what I do every other day, I do 60 pull-ups, 60 dips, 100 press-ups, it’s changing the body, the top half.

“I ain’t got no legs, I ain’t got no calf muscles, so we might have to get some prosthetics for that.”
Foxx, 53, has a good relationship with Tyson and has promised The Baddest Man on the Planet his performance will do him justice.
He said last year: “When we were talking about the movie, I said what’s interesting about Mike is not the ring now, it’s the Mike that we see now.
“When I called Mike one time, I said, ‘Mike, how are you doing?’

“And it’s this voice, ‘All praise to Allah, my brother I’m just happy’.
“I said, ‘Why you happy?’ and ‘I’m happy I don’t have money anymore, I don’t have any money’.
“I said, ‘Why do you say that? Why does that make you happy?’
“‘Cause no one can take anything from me anymore.

“‘There are no vultures. Nobody out there trying to take anything from me. So I’m just happy.’
“I said, ‘That’s the person we’ve got to show’.
“He’ll tell you, ‘I either live on top of the mountain or on the bottom of the ocean’.
“I said to Mike, ‘When I play you, I’m going to embody you so well that when I walk into your house your kids will run up and say dad’s home.’”

Andy Ruiz Jr ranks five best current heavyweights with Tyson Fury ahead of Anthony Joshua and NO Dillian Whyte

ANDY RUIZ JR reckons he is the third best heavyweight in the world behind Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury. The Mexican-Amercian slugger revealed his top five fighters in the division but there was no place for Dillian Whyte who he has beef with.

Ruiz is the only man to have ever beaten Joshua during the Brit’s pro career.
And he also reckons AJ can beat Fury in the upcoming Battle of Britain – if he adopts an aggressive approach.
But he still only ranks Joshua second behind the Gypsy King – perhaps because he recently linked up with Fury in Las Vegas.
Ruiz told Fox he rates himself as the third best in the world ahead of his comeback fight against Chris Arreola on May 1.
American power puncher Deontay Wilder comes in at fourth and bizarrely he named Arreola as the final member of the top five.
Whyte forced himself back into world title contention in March when he knocked out Alexander Povetkin in his must-win rematch.
But his exclusion should come as no surprise to fight fans with him and Ruiz hardly on good terms.
Ruiz faces ‘the Nightmare’ Arreola in what will be his first outing since losing his rematch against Joshua in December 2019.

And he is looking in great shape for the dust-up after shedding two stone since linking up with new trainer Eddy Reynoso.
Should he emerge victorious, he could face Whyte at the end of the year, with Eddie Hearn revealing to SunSport that a fight could materialise.
But the Body Snatcher has labelled the Areola bout a ‘garbage’ fight.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Whyte said: “A strategic comeback fight. It’s a fight that’s going to make him look good.
“Make him look like, ‘Oh yeah, he’s this and he’s that,’ but on paper it’s not.
“If you run it on paper, it’s not, because Chris Arreola is shot. Chris Arreola has been shot for a few years.
“If he was fighting Chris Arreola a few years ago, people would be like, ‘No, that’s a garbage fight.’ Now it’s the same, if not worse.
“He was a decent fighter in his heyday but he’s been retired for two years since losing to Adam Kownacki.
“It’s a good strategic move from his team, him coming back and he’ll bash Arreola. ‘Andy Ruiz, yeah he’s back, and he’s motivated, and he looked so good.’
“Let’s be honest, it’s Chris Arreola he’s fighting. Typical joke fight from the fake Mexican.”

Andy Ruiz Jr reveals he was ‘depressed and crying’ before shedding over THREE STONE ahead of Chris Arreola fight

ANDY RUIZ JR has revealed he was left ‘depressed and crying’ after his dismal defeat to Anthony Joshua in their rematch. The Mexican-American shocked the world when he battered Joshua into his first-ever defeat in June 2019.

But their second fight six months later couldn’t have been any different.
An unfit and out-of-shape Ruiz Jr was easily outboxed over 12 rounds and surrendered the WBA, WBO and IBF titles he had so spectacularly won earlier that year.
After the one-sided defeat he admitted he had ‘six months of partying’ that had ultimately cost him any chance of a second win against AJ.
Now, speaking to DAZN ahead of his comeback fight against Chris Arreloa on May 1, Ruiz Jr has opened up on his battles outside the ring.
The 31-year-old, who has lost THREE STONE in weight, said: “There was one moment, I was so down in my life.
“I was depressed, I was crying that I needed to make a change.
“I feel like this is the beginning of my career because out of all the years that I’ve been training and fighting, I feel like this is the time that I’m doing everything right.
“I feel like I’m more motivated than before.”

Ruiz Jr has a new trainer in Eddy Reynoso, who also works with Canelo Alvarez.
The two Mexicans have been working together in the gym and boxing ring – which has seemingly given Ruiz Jr the motivation to get into shape.
A victory against 40-year-old Californian Arreloa will put Ruiz back into contention in the heavyweight division.
Ruiz Jr added: “Canelo been telling me that this is a daily routine, life routine that we need to stay focused, stay disciplined.
“He’s showing me a lot of tips when I’m sparring, hitting the bag or how I should throw my punches to be more effective.”
Canelo has his own fight to prepare for too, when he faces Brit Billy Joe Saunders on May 8.

Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury fight ‘100 per cent happening’ after boxing champs exchange final contract drafts

ANTHONY JOSHUA vs Tyson Fury is ‘100 per cent happening’ according to promoter Eddie Hearn.AJ’s matchmaker has been working relentlessly to tie up the deal, as well as agreeing a switch from Sky Sports to DAZN in the summer.

Anthony Joshua is set to throw down with Tyson Fury in Saudi ArabiaCredit: PA
And he believes everything has now been confirmed with a late July or early August undisputed showdown in Saudi Arabia to be announced soon.
The Matchroom boss said: “We have exchanged some more final drafts and there will be a few more phone calls but it is as done as it can be.
“It is non-stop at the moment but it is happening, it is 100 per cent happening.”
The financial split on a two-fight deal was agreed last June, with the first clash going 50-50 down the middle and the winner taking 60-40 of the rematch.
However the pandemic and travel and crowd restrictions that have crippled the sport for a year have made finding a venue almost impossible.
The WBC Gypsy King and dad John had fans worried for the showdown after a series of self-imposed deadlines passed.

But AJ Boxing, Hearn and Fury’s team have now both signed their sides of the contract only the minute details remain to be decided.
AJ roared last week: “I would wait until the end of the year if I had to.
“It’s the fight we both want, it’s the fight the world wants, the promoters and the TV networks, so putting a time limit isn’t right.
“If people are clearly working on something and they need a little extra time, you want the job done right then you sit tight for a little bit.
“As long as things are getting done I will wait til next Tuesday or the Tuesday after.

“I know I want it and so does he, maybe he just got his words mixed up.
“With every week that passes I am a week better, a week stronger and a week wiser and a week closer to the day when I kick Tyson Fury’s ass.
“I don’t know what Fury is doing and I don’t give a s*** either, all I know is what I am doing and I am coming.”
One stumbling block for Watford’s WBA, IBF and WBO king remains trainer and mentor Rob McCracken.
AJ rates the Team GB mastermind as the Sir Alex Ferguson of his empire but he is scheduled to be in Tokyo for the Olympics this summer.

And Hearn has confirmed there is going to be a tough call to make over who is in Joshua’s corner for the biggest fight in British boxing history as the date is non-negotiable.
He said: “I know AJ and Rob have been talking accordingly so I am sure they will work it out.
“The guys know it will be around the Olympics, it could be inappropriate but it is the biggest fight in boxing and the biggest moment in AJ’s career so we have to work it out.
“I know Rob takes his Team GB position very seriously, he loves the job and the kids so it’s not ideal but we can’t move it a couple of weeks either side.
“Someone is spending a lot of money so we have to go whenever they say.”

It is understood that the first of their two bouts could take place in the Middle East in early August.
