Tyson Fury posts picture of ‘business trip’ on private jet with Bob Arum as Anthony Joshua talks continue

TYSON FURY is on a ‘business trip’ with ‘legend’ Bob Arum. The Gypsy King, 32, has been in Las Vegas of late, as talks over his summer unification bout with Anthony Joshua have stalled.
The Gypsy King Tyson Fury says he is on a ‘business trip’ with promoter Bob Arum
An imminent announcement has been expected relatively soon, with AJ’s promoter Eddie Hearn having said that the contract is on ‘its fourth draft’ and ‘ready to be delivered’.
Fury jet setting on ‘business’ with Arum is bound to get fans excited that things really are getting closer to being confirmed.
But Arum, 89, has cast doubt on the hotly-anticipated unification bout – despite Fury and AJ having signed a two-fight agreement last month.
Arum even hinted that fans may have to sit through yet another Fury fight with Deontay Wilder, even though their trilogy bout previously looked dead in the water.
He told BoxingScene: “Maybe we’ll breathe some life into Wilder, and Fury will fight Wilder and Joshua will fight [Oleksandr] Usyk.
“Eddie Hearn is busy trying to sell the London Bridge.
“Let me tell you – last time I talked to Eddie was early last week and he said he was going to have a signed agreement from the Saudis in 24 hours.
“Well, he’s a little late. Wouldn’t you be pessimistic if you haven’t heard from him or anybody for a week?
“We’re the promoter with Frank [Warren] of Fury and we haven’t heard from Eddie in a week.”
AJ is ready to face Fury this summer – but the fight has still not been confirmed

Warren also cast doubt on Hearn’s claims, telling talkSPORT: “Look, every day I’m being told – it’s like, ‘It’s in the post.’
“It’s not arrived and that’s where we are. I’ll believe it when I see it. We’re being told it’ll be here.
“I know Tyson’s had enough of hanging around. He wants to fight in June or July and that’s what will happen if this thing doesn’t get resolved very quickly.
“We all want the fight. We’re all working, moving heaven and Earth to get it over the line, but at the moment the offer hasn’t come through.
“Maybe the two guys have gotta look – if the offer doesn’t come through – to look at how we make this fight viable.
“Everyone’s expectation levels maybe have to reassess.”
Despite being determined to be active, Fury has not been inside a ring since defeating Wilder in February 2020.

The 32-year-old was filmed dancing with his trainer SugarHill Stewart.
They are bopping along to 1980 hit You Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC.
Fury eventually takes his top off to show rival Joshua how he’s keeping – and looks in decent shape.
The eagerly anticipated bout between the two heavyweight champions is expected to take place in July and will be one of the biggest fights in British boxing history.
Joshua promoter Eddie Hearn has confirmed the bout will ‘100 per cent’ happen.
Stewart also takes his top off later in the video and Fury shows the viewers his best air guitar.

The trainer, who had been dancing at the other side of the pad for most of the video, joins the boxer on his platform and the two have what can only be described as an air guitar-off.
Although Fury can enjoy himself now, it will soon be no laughing matter as the proposed Joshua fight edges closer.

It isn’t yet clear as to where the fight will take place, with reports suggesting it will be held in Saudia Arabia – at the same venue where Joshua defeated Andy Ruiz.
Although both fighters are set to receive millions from the contest, only one will unify the division.

Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury ‘will make staggering £54m EACH from record-shattering Saudi Arabia site deal alone’

ANTHONY JOSHUA and Tyson Fury will make £54million EACH solely from the record-breaking Saudi Arabia site deal, according to reports. The British heavyweight titans will go head to head this summer in their eagerly-awaited Battle of Britain part one.
Anthony Joshua looks set to pocket £54m simply through the site deal to stage his mega-fight with Tyson Fury in Saudi ArabiaCredit: PA
Joshua will put his WBA, WBO and IBF belts on the line as Fury defends the WBC crown he snatched off Deontay Wilder last year.
And as well as having the chance to unify the division, the pair are on course to make eye-watering money from the fight.
According to ESPN, the site fee alone is worth £108m will be evenly split between the two, with some additional cash used to cover expenses and the undercard.
That is almost treble the site fee for one of AJ’s fights against Andy Ruiz Jr.
A deal to stage the fight in Saudi Arabia is yet to be finalised, but it is the most likely destination with a Wembley rematch later in the year.
Fury’s US-based promoter Bob Arum told Boxing Scene: “We have [site deal] contracts now that we are marking up and so forth.
“It’s a big step. We’re just doing the paperwork now with the Saudis.”
And while the date is also unconfirmed, Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn revealed July 24 or early August are the best options – while Fury himself said it would be ‘in July’.

CASINO SIGN UP OFFER: CLAIM UP TO £800 IN CASINO BONUS CASH

He said: “They’ve signed the contract. We presented them both with an offer from a site, which they both approved and accepted.
“We are dotting the I’s and crossing the T’s and you will get an announcement soon, but that fight is going to be happening this summer.
“We haven’t finalised an exact date, July 24 is the rough date but it may leak into early August but no later than that. The Olympics will be a different timezone so it’s not really in the mindset.
“It is one of the biggest of all time, probably the sporting event of 2021, so fingers crossed – we are nearly there.
“I keep saying we are nearly there but, as I said, site approved, deal approved, everything done now.
“We are just papering it and there will be an official announcement soon.
“It is non-stop at the moment but it is happening, it is 100 per cent happening.”

Fury will tell-all about boxing superstar sons Tyson and Tommy

Earlier this week, Jake Paul accepted Tommy Fury’s call out – but only if his older brother Tyson fights Michael Hunter on the same card.
The younger Fury, 21, immediately challenged the YouTuber to a scrap on Saturday night.
Paul, 24, secured his third professional boxing win when he savagely KO’d Ben Askren in the first minute of round one.
Fury tweeted, “I’m ready to give the people what they want”, referring to a showdown with rival Paul.
The feud began when WBC champ Tyson implored Paul to take on his younger brother.

Speaking to ES News, Paul responded to Love Island star Tommy and laid down his demands.
He said: “I’m going to plant the seed now…
“Tommy Fury vs me and Michael Hunter against Tyson Fury on the same night.
“Tommy is weak… and Tommy’s girlfriend [Molly-Mae Hague] DM’d me before they went on that reality show.”
Light-heavyweight Tommy boasts an impressive pro boxing record with five wins from five fights, the last four all by KO.

“I thought it was a style.”
Tyson retired from boxing in June 2005 following back-to-back losses to Danny Williams and Kevin McBride.

Dillian Whyte up to No3 in Ring’s P4P heavyweight rankings after Povetkin revenge as Bodysnatcher waits for title shot

DILLIAN WHYTE is back in the top three of the Ring Magazine’s heavyweight rankings following his victory over Alexander Povetkin. The Body Snatcher exacted revenge on the Russian knockout specialist in March, stopping the former WBA champion in the fourth round.
British star Dillian Whyte is back in the Ring Magazine’s top three heavyweight rankings list
The 33-year-old is now back in contention to fight for a first world title, but the British star looks poised to risk it all again later this year.
His promoter Eddie Hearn told SunSport earlier this month that Whyte could face either Deontay Wilder or Andy Ruiz Jr in late 2021.
Both of those boxers are in the Ring’s top ten list, showing once again he is willing to face anyone inside the squared circle.
Here SunSport breaks down the full top ten.
Tyson Fury sits at the top of the pile after winning the Ring belt after dethroning Deontay Wilder in February 2020.
WBA, WBO and IBF king Anthony Joshua is the No 1 contender, and he will be looking to leapfrog Fury when the pair meet later this year for their undisputed bout.
Wilder sits in second spot, with Whyte’s win over Povetkin lifting him from fourth to third.
Following Whyte in the rankings is two-time WBC challenger Luis Ortiz, who knocked out Alexander Flores in the first round in November.

Joseph Parker has jumped up from sixth to fifth, with Andy Ruiz Jr also moving up the rankings despite not competing since December 2019.
The Mexican-American is scheduled to fight Chris Arreola in his comeback bout on May 1, a fight what Whyte has branded as ‘garbage’.
Michael Hunter is seventh in the list, with Povetkin down from third to eighth.
There is no change at the bottom, with Colombian star Oscar Rivas in ninth, followed by unbeaten Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.
