Watch Tyson Fury show off neck strength in bizarre training drill during pre-Anthony Joshua camp in Las Vegas

TYSON FURY had his coach put him through some rigorous NECK training as he prepares for his unification blockbuster against Anthony Joshua. While many boxers might use weights and gym machines to strengthen the neck, Fury seems happy for Jorge Capetillo to pound down on it.

The Mexican, who is also part of Andy Ruiz Jr’s team, uploaded a video of him using one hand to push down on Fury’s head, while the other kept his balance on the ring apron.
He captioned it: “The grind don’t stop. The champ’s mindset.”
The WBC champion is training out in America with head coach Javan ‘Sugarhill’ Steward and the rest of the team.
Joshua, 31, and Fury, 32, signed to fight in March but promoters were left to finalise a date and venue.
Saudi Arabia, where AJ beat Andy Ruiz Jr in a December 2019 rematch, is the frontrunner to host the Battle of Britain.
And they have been given three dates, all by the end of July or early August, as Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn provided an update on the negotiations.
But Fury’s US promoter Bob Arum has said he is ‘pessimistic’ about the unification actually happening.
And it could lead to Fury facing Deontay Wilder in a trilogy bout and Joshua fighting WBO mandatory Oleksandr Usyk.

Arum told BoxingScene: “Maybe we’ll breathe some life into Wilder, and Fury will fight Wilder and Joshua will fight Usyk.
“Eddie Hearn is busy trying to sell the London Bridge.
“Let me tell you – last time I talked to Eddie was early last week and he said he was going to have a signed agreement from the Saudis in 24 hours.
“Well, he’s a little late. Wouldn’t you be pessimistic if you haven’t heard from him or anybody for a week?
“We’re the promoter with Frank (Warren) of Fury and we haven’t heard from Eddie in a week.”

Watch Andy Ruiz Jr display lightning-quick punching speed that stunned Anthony Joshua as he trains for comeback

ANDY RUIZ JR has shown off the blistering hand speed that stunned Anthony Joshua ahead of his boxing comeback. The Mexican-American takes on veteran Chris Arreola on Saturday night in what will be his first fight back since his lame points loss in the Joshua rematch.

Just six months before that fight in Saudi Arabia, Ruiz Jr had shocked the world by stopping Joshua to become unified heavyweight champ.
Then followed ‘six months of partying’ that ultimately cost him any hope in the rematch, Ruiz Jr coming in unfit and out-of-shape to lose almost every round.
The 31-year-old has lost two-stone ahead of his ring-return and is expected to make short work of Arreloa.
A convincing win after 18 months out of action would put him straight back into contention at world level.
Ruiz Jr’s coach Jorge Capetillo uploaded footage of Ruiz Jr showing off those well-known fast fists.
Ruiz Jr revealed there is no secret to getting back into shape – just old fashioned hard work and healthy eating.
After weighing in at 283lbs in his Joshua rematch, Ruiz Jr is down to around 257lbs as his comeback fight against Arreola draws into view.
He told Fight Hub TV: “I’ve always been overweight and now I’ve been dropping weight normally and in the right way – by eating right, not just wearing the sauna suit, starving yourself…

“Because that’s what I used to do back in the day. But now that we’re eating the right things, we’re working on the right things, I feel amazing.
“I can do better stuff that I couldn’t do before because of my big gut, I had chi-chis, I had t*** that wouldn’t let me throw the right punches and all that.
“But now I’m more motivated, I’m more dedicated in this sport and sky’s the limit.”

The 54-year-old American was on the hunt for an opponent for his second exhibition bout having fought to a draw with Roy Jones Jr last year.
Tyson had been set for a third fight with rival Evander Holyfield in Miami this May, before the deal fell apart as the veterans failed to agree on money.
But now Tyson has confirmed he will face Lewis, 55, in September, having lost to the Brit earlier in his career.
He simply told TMZ: “I’m gonna fight Lennox Lewis. September.”
Lewis famously KO’d the Baddest Man on the Planet in 2002 after the American threatened to ‘eat’ his children.
The two heavyweights are rightly regarded as boxing royalty, but neither have an unblemished record.
Tyson suffered six defeats in his 56-fight record, with Lewis losing two of his 44.
Forty-four of Tyson’s 50 wins came by way of KO, with Lewis amassing 32 KOs from 41 wins.

The Brit will have a huge size and reach advantage when the two fight. Tyson is 5ft 10in with a 71in reach, while Lewis is 6ft 5in with an 84in reach.
But Tyson is likely to be in better shape – he has shared intense workout and sparring sessions on his social media pages over the last year.

Despite the Brit being on the verge of a unification fight with Anthony Joshua, Wilder remains intent on what he recently called ‘revenge’.
On Tuesday night, the American posted a clip of his workout with former heavyweight rival Malik Scott.
He captioned the post with a Filipino message, which translates as: “The Rebirth of the King.”
Scott was Wilder’s 31st pro career victim when he was flattened in the first round of their 2014 contest.
Since then, the pair have struck up a good relationship and the 40-year-old was enlisted to help train Wilder after they began sparring.
The former world champ, 35, fired coach Mark Breland following the Fury defeat.

Scott teased a potential showdown with Fury when posting the clip to his Instagram.
He wrote: “Retribution is on the menu.💣..Not long now.⏳ #eitherwaywewin #Thebigpayback.”
Wilder will likely have to wait for a third shot at Fury and both Dillian Whyte and Andy Ruiz Jr have been touted for a showdown before then.
During an appearance on the We Might Need Counselling Podcast, he alluded to the difficulties he is facing in grabbing the Gypsy King for another battle, and said: “Trust is hard to come by because it’s money.

“Desperate times call for desperate measures. It’s a sport that I love, and I’m going to continue to do it and show my greatness in it.
“I got a lot of things that I want to do in this sport. But politics play a big part in certain things happening. Management, promotion companies.
“Certain guys don’t want their fighters to fight certain guys because they plan for their guys. It’s a lot that goes on.”

Anthony Joshua takes break from preparing for Tyson Fury as heavyweight champ heads out on motocross bike to relax

ANTHONY JOSHUA has taken a break from preparing for his fight with Tyson Fury by enjoying a day out on a motocross bike. The world heavyweight champion has been hard at work in the gym while waiting on an official announcement about the undisputed clash.
Joshua is known to be a big fan of motocross

But on Tuesday AJ decided a brief hiatus from training was needed and some time on the bike was his way of unwinding.
Alongside the photo of him on Instagram, he added the caption: “You can take the boy off the estate but you can’t….. you know the rest.”
Joshua has revealed in the past that his second favourite sport after boxing is motocross.
But it is fighting that the unified champ knows best and he is currently waiting on a date and location for his all-British dust-up with Fury.
The pair have signed a two-fight deal but the details of the first bout remain up in the air.
Speaking earlier this month on The Jonathan Ross Show, he said: “I’ve signed my side of the deal.
“We’ve sent him a good offer, one I’m sure he won’t refuse. He wants the fight, no doubt about it. So do I and more than me and him, the whole public want it.
“I put my crystal ball out there and I say it’s going to happen this year 100 per cent. I’m pretty sure it’ll be this year. End of July, early August.

“Where? That’s what’s the delay, because of this pandemic. We want to have people coming to the venue.
“It’s just finding the right location. For me, Wembley would be ideal.”
Promoter Eddie Hearn said on Monday that the site deal contract is ‘on its fourth draft and ready to be delivered’, with Saudi Arabia the hot favourite to host the first bout.

Andy Ruiz Jr now drives a £785k car collection and bought a Californian mansion since defeating Anthony Joshua in 2019

ANDY RUIZ JR has come a long way since beating Anthony Joshua in 2019.The Mexican heavyweight, nicknamed ‘The Destroyer’, saw his fortune rocket to around £6m since pulling off one of the greatest upsets in sport in recent times.

The 30-year-old has been happy to splash the cash and enjoy the riches that success brought him, ahead of his return to ring against Chris Arreola this weekend.
From super cars to luxury mansions, Ruiz Jr is enjoying his fame – but it did come with its downsides after going off the rails.
    THE CARS
Before the Joshua bout, Ruiz Jr had earned around £770,000 from boxing. Not bad, but certainly not top dollar.
For stepping into the ring with AJ in June 2019, he received £5.36m – so what did he do? He built a garage of cars to envy.
Incredibly, since knocking out Joshua Ruiz Jr has amassed a car collection worth £783,275.
Most recently, he added a Mercedes G Wagon G550 worth a whopping £96,275.
    The Twin-Turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 G Wagon G550 can reach 0-60 in just 5.6 seconds, and it’s 416 Horsepower engine is limited to 130mph.
“Another one,” Ruiz said speaking of his G Wagon purchase.

And that wasn’t the only car Ruiz Jr has been seen behind-the-wheels.
He took an order on a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, which has a price tag of £264,000.
Weighing 2.6 tonnes, the Cullinan can reach 0-60 in just five seconds and has a top speed of 155mph.
It’s the second Rolls-Royce in his collection, that sits nicely alongside his £258,000 Wraith that was bought just months after he downed the English heavyweight,
Finally, Ruiz Jr has a Lamborghini Urus – a footballers’ favourite and the first SUV the Italian sports car makers have ever produced – worth £165,000.
Of course, it’s spacious enough to fit in Ruiz Jr’s 6ft 2in frame.
    HOME FIT FOR A KING
Born in Imperial Valley, California to Mexican immigrant parents – Cali has always been the place to live for Ruiz Jr.
That’s why, when he made it, he bought a huge mansion for him and his family to enjoy.
And Ruiz Jr took great delight in showing off the property on Instagram.
‘The Destroyer’ gave his followers a video tour of the home, and was clearly delighted with his purchase as he posed next to one of his Rolls-Royces.

The sprawling digs boasts a stunning outdoor pool, as well as a treehouse that’s just perfect for his children (he has five, including a boy called AJ).
There’s even a basketball court should Ruiz Jr fancy shooting some hoops and have some mates over.
It’s unknown how much Ruiz Jr paid for the mansion, but you can imagine it must’ve set him back a few million – just look at the size of it!
    THE MISSUS
Not much is known about Ruiz Jr’s wife, Julie.
However, she certainly appears to be supportive. The brunette was ringside to see her husband victorious against Joshua.
Before and after the fight, cameras in Madison Square Garden panned to Julie – who was seen cheering her man on.
Weeks later, Julie sat alongside Ruiz Jr in the back of an open car for a parade in Imperial Valley where fans honoured the return of the hero.
She even held up one of his belts as fans cheered them on.

    A GENEROUS WINNER
Ever the gent, Ruiz Jr is humble enough to remember where he’s from.
Despite building a fleet of cars to die for, as well as splashing on a brand new home, he’s a total mummy’s boy.
The first thing he bought with his new-found wealth was, in fact, a car for his mother.
He joked: “I messed up all of her cars when I was young,” after revealing the purchase.

Knowing he’s set-up for life, Ruiz Jr is also going to give back to his community.
He wants to help build youth programs that’ll keep unprivileged kids out of trouble and encourage them to box instead.
“When I got knocked down, I got back up like the warrior that I am,” he said.
“To all the kids that have dreams, dream big.”
He went to to lose to Joshua in the Suadi rematch, but is looking to get back into heavyweight contention this weekend.
