According to Dazn, Bowe will be involved in a celebrity boxing bout on October 9.
Though they state that the former world champion does not yet have an opponent.
Commenting on the news, Celebrity Boxing founder Damon Feldman said: “If you haven’t seen Official Celebrity Boxing yet, then watching the legendary Riddick Bowe take the ring October 9th is a must!”
Bowe asked his fans who he should fight, with the 1988 Olympic silver medallist, who last fount in 2008 when he outpointed Germany’s Gene Pukall, even called out NBA icon Shaquille O’Neal.
He remarked: “Who you think I should fight? Maybe Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Shaq Daddy.
“Let me know who you want me to fight, and it’s a done deal.”
New York native Bowe called out Mike Tyson last year having failed to secure a fight against his American compatriot during their heyday.
And British star Lennox Lewis declared in November that he could put his wits against Bowe in an exhibition with the pair having ‘unfinished business’.

In 1995, Bowe became the first heavyweight in history to win all four major heavyweight belts.
His victory over Herbie Hide saw him claim the WBO belt, to add to the WBA, WBC and IBF straps he picked up when he beat Holyfield in 1992.
Bowe, who lost just once out of his 45 professional contests, fought Holyfield three times between 1992-1995.
Holyfield inflicted Bowe’s only defeat in 1993 after winning a majority points decision, before being knocked out by Big Daddy two years later.

Brian London – who died at 87 – was honest enough to admit he gladly quit against Muhammad Ali, his conscience is clean

BRIAN LONDON, who died last week aged 87, was honest enough to admit he quit as soon as he could when he fought Muhammad Ali for the world heavyweight title 55 years ago. From the look of London’s expression, it was obvious he was petrified as he stared across the ring at the 24-year-old lightning-fast Ali waiting for the opening bell at London’s Earls Court.

I wrote that I could hear London’s knees knocking above the strains of the national anthem. Years later he more or less confirmed there was more than a grain of truth in that rather cruel criticism.
London liked to be known as the British Bulldog but a toy poodle would have shown more courage against Ali that night.
All he did was back away and cover up as Ali played with him.
London managed to land one jab before Ali, midway through round three, rained down a dozen punches — and not very hard ones — on his head and he gratefully sank to the canvas to be counted out to end his misery.
The Brit was paid £30,000 — a huge sum then. And his humiliation was completed the following morning as he was pictured at Euston station buying a ticket for his journey back to Blackpool beneath a sign which said ‘second class’.
Deep down, Brian was ashamed of that performance and he was full of remorse.
When he eventually confessed to his total lack of self-esteem on that occasion, he said: “Ali was big, fast and could punch. Whereas I was smaller, fatter and couldn’t punch.
“I didn’t think I hit him. I got well paid for it, that’s all I fought for.

“Every fight I ever had I always had a go. But with Ali I thought, ‘Don’t get hurt, Brian’ and therefore I didn’t try — which was wrong.”
London deserved great credit for clearing his conscience. It took guts to publicly acknowledge he had cheated himself and his fans.
London never professed to being a great fighter but he was never dull.
He was good enough to challenge twice for the world title and become British champion.
Seven years before Ali, he fought Floyd Patterson and managed to survive until the 11th round before being KO’d.
Though he lost 20 of his 58 fights in a 15-year career, the majority of his defeats were against top-class men.
Despite being regarded by the public as a bit thick, London was one of the shrewdest businessmen ever to stride along Blackpool’s Golden Mile.
His worst beating, against American Jim Fletcher at Liverpool Stadium in 1969 — a year before he retired — was down to his promoter Laurie Lewis.
Unbeknown to London — who would have been horrified — Lewis went to Fletcher’s hotel on the eve of the fight and offered him money to take a dive.
Fletcher was greatly insulted and outraged. He took his anger out on London by knocking him out in the first round.

He owned the famous 007 nightclub there and the properties he bought in the early 60s are said to be worth £4million today.
Nowhere near as popular as his contemporaries Sir Henry Cooper — who beat him three times — Joe Erskine, Dick Richardson or Billy Walker, London will be remembered with affection.
He certainly didn’t lack a self-deprecating sense of humour.
When told Ali was suffering from Parkinson’s, he said: “That’s got nowt to do with me, I never laid a glove on him.”

Dillian Whyte taunts ‘p***y’ Deontay Wilder over dramatic bench press video by casually lifting same ‘little’ weight

DILLIAN WHYTE has taunted ‘p***y’ Deontay Wilder over his overly-dramatic bench press video by casually lifting the same ‘little’ weight.Wilder went crazy after benching 310lbs earlier this week as he prepared for his trilogy fight against Tyson Fury.
Dillian Whyte branded Deontay Wilder a ‘p***y’ as he lifted the same weight as the American
Whyte mocked Wilder’s reaction to benching 310lbs by making it look easy
Wilder’s coach Malik Scott got his American fighter pumped up ahead of the lift.
And after completing the feat, Wilder aimed a verbal tirade at Fury: “I’m a train baby, you say you’re a semi truck.
“I’m going to run you over like a freight train. You better get your weight up.”
But it’s fair to say British ace Whyte was less than impressed.
Responding to the video, the world title hopeful said : “Look at this clown with the baby bench press.”
And Whyte today released a video showing him casually doing the same lift with the same weight.
Whyte fired at Wilder: “These guys are out here screaming doing the little weights.
    “That’s how I know Wilder is a p***y!
“Wilder screaming with the light weights. Coward. I rep your max.

“Anytime, anywhere we must fight. Let’s go. Coward.”
Whyte also took time to respond to Charles Martin after being called out by the ex-heavyweight champ.
Whyte quipped: “Nothing he says worries me in the slightest. Ravings of a deluded fool.
“I think even the real Prince Charles would knock him out.”

Deontay Wilder’s chances of beating Tyson Fury slammed as Colbert questions him hiring trainer who he knocked out

DEONTAY WILDER has made an error making Malik Scott, a boxer he previously knocked out, as his lead coach. That’s the opinion of WBA interim world super-featherweight champion Chris Colbert.

Wilder KO’d Scott in the very first round of their heavyweight scrap in 2014.
But now the Bronze Bomber has brought Scott in to lead his training ahead of the trilogy fight against Tyson.
Colbert remains confused by this move and thinks Fury will beat Wilder again.
Speaking to FightHype the 24-year-old said: “Fury is going to beat on him. He can’t f*** with Fury.
“How are you going to learn from somebody you knocked out?
“I’m trying to figure out what is he [Malik Scott] going to teach him? He [Wilder] said Malik Scott is a boxing genius.
“Why is he looking so terrible in his fights? He don’t look good in his fights. If you’re a boxing genius, you have a mindset of what you can do.
“He won’t have a mindset of what you can do. He went in there with Wilder, and Wilder hit his glove, and he dropped to the ground.

Fury says he will ‘run Wilder over like a freight train’ and says he will come in for Part III at a career heaviest 21st 6lb.
And Colbert wouldn’t be surprised to see this happen.
He added: “Whatever he [Fury] says, he does it.
“You’ve got to listen to him. He told you he was going to stop Wilder. He beat his a**. ”
Colbert also slammed the ‘excuses’ Wilder made for his February 2020 loss to Fury as ‘terrible’.
The deposed WBC heavyweight champ first blamed a heavy ringwalk suit, then accused his own coach Mark Breland of ‘spiking his water’ before finally accusing Fury and his team of ‘glove tampering’.
Breland and Team Fury have strenuously denied the claims.

Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury could take place in UK in huge boost to British fans, claims Bob Arum

ANTHONY JOSHUA could fight Tyson Fury in the UK, according to legendary boxing promoter Bob Arum. The two Brits were set for an undisputed clash this summer, with contracts reportedly agreed and Saudi Arabia the chosen destination.

Fury’s US promoter Bob Arum says Fury vs Joshua will still happen – and it could be in the UKCredit: AP
But Deontay Wilder won his arbitration case for a trilogy fight against Fury after his February 2020 battering.
That is now taking place on July 24, with the Battle of Britain postponed.
Joshua will now take on Oleksandr Usyk on September 25. And provided both Brits come through their title defences, it is hoped they will finally get it on.
And Arum hopes it will take place on these shores.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Fury’s US promoter said: “Next time around, if it’s Joshua and Tyson Fury, first of all, where should the fight be held?
“There’s a big argument that by that time, the pandemic is behind us, we wait until the spring and we do it in Wembley, or one of the big arenas.
“If we wanted to do it in winter, we can do it in Cardiff [Principality Stadium], because 70,000 seats, indoor arena, or it can go to Saudi Arabia.”
Joshua was fuming at the collapse of the Fury fight and slammed the WBC champ as ‘never really wanting it’.

But Arum is adamant that there were no ‘break downs’ in negotiations and that it was simply because the contract for it to happen in Saudi Arabia ‘couldn’t be finalised’.
The 89-year-old added: “There were no break downs between the Fury side and the Joshua side. None.
“The fight couldn’t be finalised for Saudi Arabia and then the arbitrator in the Wilder situation felt that he could, if he decided the case for Wilder, stop Fury from fighting anybody else other than Wilder.
“But if the contract had been signed, he never would have done it. He might have given Wilder some damages, but he would not have stopped the fight.
“But again, there was no signed contract for that fight. That’s what happened. It’s as plain and as simple as that.”

Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn was furious at seeing the fight fall by the wayside, and says he ‘doesn’t really trust some people’ on Team Fury.
Speaking to DAZN, the Matchroom boss said: “I think it was pretty intentional. AJ felt that Fury never wanted to fight.
“I don’t particularly trust people on that side. Some people couldn’t let that fight happen. They wanted to keep some kind of control.
“When they say, they might want (the fight) in December, who knows?”

Mike Tyson faces Triller lawsuit over failed Evander Holyfield fight after £18m Roy Jones Jr comeback bout aged 55

MIKE TYSON is in danger of being sued by Triller if he fights under another promotional banner. The American social networking service hosted Tyson’s comeback fight with Roy Jones Jr last November, a bout that raked in over one million pay-per-view buys.

Triller had plans to stage another exhibition with the boxing legend, although Tyson quickly dismissed that notion by insisting his next bout would take place under the Legends Only League banner.
But the former undisputed heavyweight champion, 55, faces the prospect of a multi-million-pound lawsuit if he opts to pursue a fight with another promotion.
Triller chief Ryan Kavanaugh threatened Tyson with legal action in a letter recently obtained by The Athletic.
In it, Kavanaugh disputed claims Tyson wasn’t paid his full £18million ($25m) purse and insisted Triller have the rights for his next fight.
It also revealed Triller’s plan for Tyson to have a trilogy fight with former opponent Evander Holyfield.
An excerpt of Kavanaugh’s letter read: “It is unquestionable that we have a contractual right to your next fight, including but not limited to Evander.
“Having spent over $30m dollars on your first fight while being told it was a crazy risk no one would take was only because and for this right to a Tyson-Holyfield fight.
“We also entered into an agreement directly with Evander.”

Kavanaugh is hoping not to take legal action, adding: “My team and I have nothing but the utmost respect for you.
“Instead of turning this into a legal battle that would, one that would indefinitely hold up your right to fight, we would love to sit down, resolve this, and get you into the ring with Evander.
“All we have asked is we remove the middle men and have a one on one conversation.
“We are confident that together the truth will prevail as will everyone involved.”
Mike Tyson recently claimed he’ll have a rematch with Lennox Lewis in SeptemberCredit: PA

Tyson appeared to sever all ties with Triller in March, saying: “Just to be clear, there is no Tyson with Triller fight.
“I don’t know any Triller executives personally. I don’t have a deal with Triller or any head executive representing them for the next event.
“I’m a partner in Legends Only League, and my next event is with my league.
“I will never do another event or any business with Triller, so anyone misrepresenting that they own the rights to my name or my next event isn’t true. I am not with or ever will be with Triller’s Fight Club.”
A month later, The Baddest Man on the Planet claimed he’d face Lewis in a blockbuster rematch this September.
That bout, however, looks highly unlikely given the potential lawsuit Tyson will be slapped with if he fights without Triller’s consent.

Oleksandr Usyk to be trained by Vasiliy Lomachenko’s genius dad for Anthony Joshua fight, reveals promoter Bob Arum

OLEKSANDR USYK will be trained by Vasiliy Lomachenko’s genius dad for his fight with Anthony Joshua fight, promoter Bob Arum revealed. Usyk, who was guided by Ukrainian boxing mastermind Anatoly during his amateur career, faces Joshua in September in London.

The former cruiserweight king has switched coaches throughout his professional career, but always had Lomachenko’s dad in his camp.
And while not always previously present in Usyk’s corner, Anatoly is now set to take the lead when they challenge for AJ’s unified titles.
Lomachenko’s promoter Arum told Sky Sports: “Let me caution you something, because even though I don’t promote him, I consider him a really good friend and that’s Oleksandr Usyk, who the reason I know him so well is he is the best friend of Vasiliy Lomachenko.
“Egis Klimas, who is the manager of both, I talk with him and he has talked with the father of Lomachenko, who he calls ‘Papa Lomachenko’ who was the trainer of all these Ukrainian Olympians and he’s agreed to properly train Usyk for this fight.
“I’m telling you, don’t think that Joshua is in a cake walk. He has a really tough fight with Usyk, who is a terrific boxer.
“His father wouldn’t train anyone else, but he will train Usyk, because Usyk is like family.”
Anatoly was part of Ukraine’s magnificent amateur set up which has produced Olympic and pro champions in Usyk and Lomachenko.
He is also credited for introducing a modern training regime, emphasising movement and footwork.

Anatoly had his son take part in dance lesson and gymnastics as a child to help with his co-ordination in the ring.
Lomachenko has since become a three-weight champ, having left the unpaid ranks with an unprecedented 396-1 record, also twice avenging his sole loss.
The southpaw was dethroned of the lightweight belts by American Teofimo Lopez, 23, in October, only his second loss as a pro.
But after beating Masayoshi Nakatani, 32, on his return, he called for a rematch while turning his attention to supporting close friend Usyk against AJ.
Lomachenko said: “Of course I believe he can win.
“He has a very big chance but it won’t be easy because Joshua also knows what he must do in the ring.
“Joshua also knows boxing, he has also had amateur experience. It will be an interesting fight, very interesting.”

But after Deontay Wilder was awarded the right to a trilogy bout with Fury, the unification collapsed.
AJ now faces mandatory challenger Oleksandr Usyk, 34, in September, while Wilder gets his crack at revenge on July 24.
Joshua is still holding out hope of an all-British super-fight, but was warned against it by fellow Olympic medallist Khan.
He told the Last Stand Podcast: “He’s a beast, heavyweight champion. But a lot of people say, ‘Is he gonna beat Tyson Fury?’
“I think that could be one of the hardest fights he ever has. If I was Anthony Joshua, I’d keep away from Tyson Fury.”
Joshua, 31, agreed terms to fight on August 14 in Saudi Arabia against Fury, 32, who tried to walk away from his contracted rematch with Wilder, 35.
But the American took the dispute to arbitration and was later awarded the verdict.
It leaves it all to play for trilogy bout with AJ eyeing the winner, and backing Fury to retain the title he dethroned Wilder of in February 2020.
