Deontay Wilder’s trainer predicts he will KO Tyson Fury in just FIVE ROUNDS in trilogy clash as he steps up training

Wilder was battered from pillar to post by Fury in February 2020, and then came out with a whole host of wacky excuses for the loss.
Fourteen months earlier the pair drew on the judges scorecards – though many believe Fury was robbed.
But Wilder’s trainer and former boxer Scott is predicting big things from his man in the career-defining rematch.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the 40 year old said: “This Deontay would knock out the old Deontay in two rounds. He is 10 times more focused, training 100 times harder.
“It is a violent camp. His mentality is very violent.
“This will be the best version of Deontay Wilder that you have ever seen.

“Deontay will knock Fury out inside of five rounds.”
Unsurprisingly Fury is not going along with this train of thought, guaranteeing that he will stop ‘one-trick pony’ Wilder quicker than he did last year.
That stoppage came in the seventh round. But Scott believes under-estimating Wilder this time round will come back to haunt the Gypsy King.
He added: “They underestimate his IQ. He is not some big, dumb guy who just throws a right hand.
“There is method to his madness.”
Wilder is also tipped to get his revenge by fellow heavyweight Chris Arreola.
How Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder stack up ahead of the trilogy fight
The 40 year old, who lost to Andy Ruiz Jr last time out, told Fight Hype: “Wilder has the most to prove, and Wilder has the bigger chip in his shoulder because Fury gave it to him.
“I’m taking Wilder; I’m honestly taking Wilder.
“By any means necessary. If it’s by knockout or disqualification, whatever it is. Wilder is winning that fight, man.”

Among the interested observers was UFC superstar McGregor, who was in talks to box the Filipino before losing his rematch with Dustin Poirier in January.
And The Notorious has claimed he’s due a pretty penny from the fight, tweeting: “I’m owed commission off that manny fight and I want it.”
A showdown between McGregor and Pacquiao is unlikely to come to fruition as the pride of the Philippines is contemplating hanging up his gloves.
In the post-fight press conference, he said: “In the future, you may not see Manny Pacquiao fight again in the ring.
“I don’t know. But for how many decades, I’m so happy with what I’ve done in boxing.
“I contribute a record in boxing also and to make boxing the top. And especially bring honour to my country and the Filipino people.

The Irishman recently revealed his recovery is going better than expected, saying: “Scan went well. Scan went very well.
“To be back on the bike, I’m back on the bike before he said I was going to be able to bear weight.

Deontay Wilder tipped to score stunning upset KO of Tyson Fury in trilogy fight after rediscovering his ‘hunger’

Wilder, 35, suffered a seventh-round TKO loss to Fury in their rematch last February, but the Bronze Bomber’s former foe Chris Arreola reckons he’ll get the job done third time around.
When asked which of the pair is under more pressure, Arreola told Fight Hype: “Wilder, hands down.
“The first fight could have gone either way. If he [Wilder] didn’t knock him down, you could have said that Fury won that fight easily.
“In the second fight, he [Wilder] got his b*** kicked. He got his s**t handed to him.
“Wilder has the most to prove, and Wilder has the bigger chip in his shoulder because Fury gave it to him.
“I’m taking Wilder; I’m honestly taking Wilder.

“By any means necessary. If it’s by knockout or disqualification, whatever it is. Wilder is winning that fight, man.”
Wilder has enlisted the help of former opponent Malik Scott to help him overcome Fury at the third time of asking.
Arreola, who lost to Wilder in July 2016, reckons the former WBC heavyweight champ will be hard-pressed to change his style but believes his determination to win will guide him to victory.
He added: “It’s kind of hard to show a new dog new tricks.
“That being said, it’s the hunger that he has. He [Wilder] probably didn’t train for that one fight. He half-a** train, but now you can see he’s working f***ING hard.
“When you get humbled. You got to figure that s*** out to get that lion out of you again.
“So, I guarantee he’s working his a** off, and I guarantee that Malik Scott is making big dividends in his career right now.
I’m taking Wilder; I’m honestly taking WilderChris Arreola on Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder III
“As [Marvin] Hagler said, it’s hard to get out of bed when you have silk sheets.
“Sometimes you don’t want to run; you’re not going to run. F**k it, I’m staying my a** home.
“One thing about Wilder is his best power is his snap at the end of the punch.
“If he’s right here [Arreola motions his hand in close], all throw all day. But with that uppercut, if he gets that snap out, it’s good night.
“At the end of the punch, Wilder is a dangerous mother-f**k.”
Olympic bronze medallist Wilder is hellbent on returning to the win column in devastating fashion, saying: “My mind is very violent.
“We built a whole facility to commit a legal homicide and that’s just what it is, my mind is very violent at this time.

“I can’t wait, when you’re contemplating and pre-meditating about harming a man and you see that person, what you’ve been thinking and feeling will come out.
“The only thing about it is, at that point in time, I have to wait until I get in the ring to really release because I can’t do it on the outside, it’d defeat the purpose.
“The baby’s got to eat, but when I do get in the ring, this is what I love about it, I’m able to release everything I’ve been feeling, everything I’ve been thinking, and get paid to do it.”

And the Watford superstar dropped to his knee for a moment of prayer on a recent trip to the North London ground.
On social media, the father-of-one captioned the powerful image with a passage from the King James bible, Mark 8:36.
It read: “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul.”
British fight fans will be forgiven for thinking AJ was throwing his support behind the Premier League footballers who continue to take a knee before matches to support the fight against racism.
But SunSport understands it was a private and personal moment of reflection between the 6ft 6in powerhouse and the man upstairs.
Though there is a suggestion he will make the stance next month to support the campaign.

Asked last month, Joshua said: “Yeah, 100 per cent I would. 100 per cent. I would take a knee anyway.”
Meanwhile, Johnny Nelson reckons AJ is in for a ‘rough ride’ when he faces Usyk.
Nelson told Sky Sports: “I’ve always been a massive fan of Anthony Joshua, it’s never been hidden.
“I’m a fan of Oleksandr Uysk because at cruiserweight I said, ‘This guy is the heir apparent. I could see him stepping up to heavyweight and making a massive impression like Evander Holyfield back in the day.’
“[But he’s a] different style of fighter. But then I saw his introduction to the heavyweight division and I was underwhelmed. And he’s a good fighter, excellent pedigree.
“Better pedigree than Anthony Joshua as an amateur at least. I think Anthony Joshua will be far too big, far too strong, far too sharp and far too aggressive.

AJ to be given a ‘rough ride’ by Usyk but will be ‘too fast’ and ‘too sharp’ for Ukrainian, says Johnny Nelson

Usyk’s footwork and ability to glide in and out of range will be the two biggest problems Joshua will have to navigate.
But former cruiserweight king Nelson thinks the Ukrainian will ultimately come up short in his bid to become a two-weight world champion.
He told Sky Sports: “I’ve always been a massive fan of Anthony Joshua, it’s never been hidden.

Nelson, however, admits Usyk is more than capable of shocking the world and ending AJ’s second reign as unified heavyweight king.
He added: “It could happen. It could happen with any heavyweight out there. Anthony is actually training down the road in Sheffield. He has been the past few weeks.
“And he’s gone back to his roots. He’s making sure he does everything right again. So I know he’s taking this very serious.
“Because, of course, the Tyson Fury fight falls through for whatever bogus business that was going on there, if it’s happening or if it’s not happening.
“So he’s kept his head down and got on with it and thought, ‘Right, I’m fighting this guy who is a dangerous guy.’
“And if you know your boxing, you know Usyk is dangerous and he cannot afford to have a slip-up.”

Joshua, 31, is relishing his upcoming clash with his fellow Olympian, saying: “We are two Olympic gold medallists who have fought our way to the top and never avoided challenges.
“The stadium is exceptional, the atmosphere will be electric, I’m honoured to be the first person to fight in such an awe-inspiring venue.
