Showtime was running on fumes after suffering a cut above his eye following an accidental clash of heads with his opponent on the third round.
The American boxer’s fatigue was evident as Crawford initially knocked him to the canvas with a left jab.
Porter was then unable to respond to Bud’s combinations, one of which was enough to bring him back to the ground.
The 34-year-old was furious as he started punching the canvas and that was when his dad had seen enough.
Crawford started hopping in glee as he handed Porter his first ever TKO loss in 36 fights.
The WBO welterweight champion then celebrated with his team and danced with his mother, who watched from ringside.

Tyson Fury shares BRUTAL training clip as Eddie Hearn warns him that Dillian Whyte won’t accept ‘outrageous’ purse split

TYSON FURY is pushing himself to new levels in training despite not having a fight to prepare for.The Gypsy King, 33, has been keeping active since his victory over Deontay Wilder last month.
John Fury pounded son Tyson in the brutal training exercise
Fury grimaced with each shot from the medicine ball
And he has also been busy helping brother Tommy train for his upcoming bout with Jake Paul.
But on Friday the heavyweight champion took things up a notch.
With Tyson laid out on the canvas, father John stood over him and began pounding his torso with a medicine ball.
Each impact made the boxer grimace but he got through the tough workout.
He also turned onto his side to build up strength – preparing well for any future punches he may take to the body.
And those shots could come from Dillian Whyte, with Eddie Hearn revealing a fight between the pair could take place early next year.

Speaking to IFL TV, he said: “The purses are almost secondary to the fight being ordered. The interim champion can receive up to 45 per cent of a purse split.
“And I believe that the purse should be at those kinds of levels. We have seen Top Rank talking about 20 per cent to Whyte which is outrageous.
“But I think something that should be left to the WBC, the problem is time we need to move forward but we are confident that it will be a ruling that is fair to Whyte.
“I think it is closing in and we would like to make that fight in the early part of next year.”

Canelo Alvarez could move up to join Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua in HEAVYWEIGHT division, claims Eddie Hearn

POUND-FOR-POUND superstar Canelo Alvarez could move up to HEAVYWEIGHT in the future, boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has claimed. The 31-year-old Mexican recently stopped IBF super-middleweight champion Caleb Plant to become the undisputed king at 168lbs.
Canelo has already won world titles in four different weight classesCredit: Getty
Fury is widely recognised as the best heavyweight in the worldCredit: Getty
Canelo has also won titles at light-middleweight, middleweight and light-heavyweight.
And on Thursday the possibility of him jumping up to cruiserweight shocked the sport as the WBC ordered a fight between Alvarez and champion Ilunga Makabu.
The 34-year-old Congolese boxer has lost just twice in 30 fights, the most high-profile of which came when he was knocked out by Tony Bellew in 2016.
If that clash was to take place, it would see Canelo jump from 168lbs up to 200lbs.
But Hearn, who has promoted the Mexican’s fights in the past, believes he could even go one further by going all the way up to HEAVYWEIGHT.
Speaking to iFL TV, he said: “I think with Canelo and Eddie Reynoso, they want challenges. They want to dare to be great which is tremendous for the sport.

“The Makabu fight is a cruiserweight fight that would give him another world championship victory, would get a lot of people talking as it did last night, and I think it’s a good option for him.
“I think it’s a dangerous fight. I was speaking to Tony Bellew – who could be looking real good in a few months if this happens – and he said that Makabu is a huge puncher, huge puncher, and very strong.
“I think that when you look at Saul the Golovkin fight is a huge fight financially, a lot of people would want to see that fight. But does that motivate him?
“I think he could become undisputed at 175 and I like that plan. But there is also the cruiserweight division.
“Listen, he could move up and fight at heavyweight. I mean, Usyk’s not a massive heavyweight, Trevor Bryant’s a world champion as well. Can he compete against those guys?
“Cruiserweight first, maybe. But I like the fight against Makabu. I think it’s a dangerous fight, I think it’s an exciting fight and as I said, Saul and Eddie are interested in making history.
“They’re not interested in having normal, boring fights. Every fight has to mean something.”
    MANY OPTIONS
Hearn did not specifically mention Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua as potential opponents for Canelo, but they are two of the biggest names in the heavyweight division.
Fury currently holds the WBC belt, while Joshua rematches Oleksandr Usyk next year as he bids to reclaim the IBF, WBA and WBO straps.
American Bryant is also in the picture as the WBA regular title holder.
Canelo remains the biggest draw in boxing so many fighters are in the queue to face him as he is the most lucrative financial attraction the sport has to offer.
As well as Makabu at cruiserweight and moving up to heavyweight, Canelo could also opt to have a trilogy fight against Gennady Golovkin.
The Kazakh fighter drew with Alvarez in September 2017 before Canelo edged a majority decision 12 months later.
There is also the possibility that Canelo, whose only defeat came at the hands of Floyd Mayweather eight years ago, could face feared light-heavyweight Artur Beterbiev. More

Mike Tyson ‘had sex with groupies just before fighting’ as he was ‘so afraid he would KILL opponent’ with raging energy

MIKE TYSON was so scared of killing opponents he would need to have sex with groupies moments before fights to take ‘the edge’ off his rage. Tyson was fuelled with so much pumping emotional energy that he would also cry before heading into the ring to eviscerate opponents.

That is the insight from one of his closest friends, recalling Tyson’s mindset and talent on the 35th anniversary of becoming the youngest heavyweight champion in history.
Tyson’s confidante, ex bodyguard and chauffeur Rudy Gonzalez revealed that his ‘dark side’ along with the New Yorker’s raw talent and elite training from boxing legend Cus D’Amato made him unstoppable in the mid 80s.
Gonzalez watched the then 20-year-old channel rage, grief and an inner psychological torment to destroy Trevor Berbick in round two to make history in the title fight on November 22, 1986.
Gonzalex said: “One of the greatest secrets with Mike was that he needed to have sex in the dressing room before fights.
“I would have to find a groupie, it did not matter who it was. He’d say ‘if I do not get laid I will kill this guy right now.’
“Mike had to get laid to disengage some of the strength he had. So I had girls tucked away in bathrooms and changing rooms.
“Sometimes he’d go in with them for a minute, bang the s*** out of them, snap his neck and say: ‘Okay this guy is going to live tonight.’
“His biggest fear was that he would kill someone in that ring. He knew he could do it.

His biggest fear was that he would kill someone in that ring. He knew he could do it. Rudy Gonzalez
“I still see some of the guys he fought. I was there at ringside seeing these huge men crying, bones shattering or their blood flying everywhere.
“It is no exaggeration to say Mike was like a train hitting these guys. Having sex was his way of disengaging that power and loosening up a bit.”
Gonzalez, whose book about his Tyson experiences – The Inner Ring – is being developed into an animated movie, added: “Someone once asked me why does Mike need four armed bodyguards, and I said ‘We are not here to protect him, We are here to protect him from you.'”
Gonzalez was at Tyson’s side from the mid 80s seeing his rise through the amateur ranks unbeaten in 27 fights and with a record 12–0 in 1986 alone.
Legendary trainer Cus D’Amato, who became Tyson’s legal guardian after serving time in juvenile prison, guided the teen criminal from a street fighting hoodlum into a polished power punching boxing phenom.

However a year before the history making Berbick showdown, D’Amato passed away.
Gonzalez said: “Mike used to break down in tears before fights. He had an anxiety problem where he would be in despair with anxiety of not feeling good enough or not wanting to screw it up.
“He never recovered the loss of Cus, because he found someone special who had faith in him and saved from the depths of hell.
“He used everyone one of those emotions for as long as he could – and that is why he walked into the ring with all that and beat the s*** out of Berbick.”
Veteran manager D’Amato trained Tyson during the day, pushed him to be build his fitness and made him study boxing history at his mansion’s attic in Catskill, New York.
“It was a love story. Mike had the fear that if he screwed this up would end up back in his old neighbourhood or be locked up.
“Cus was the only man he trusted. He would yell at him, and Mike would respectfully bow his head and and say ‘yes sir – no sir.’
“And he gave Cus a reason to wake up every morning – honestly Mike made him feel like he’d live for a thousand years.”

Juvenile criminal Tyson grew up with a mother tormented by addiction issues in rundown apartment in Brownsville.
While serving time at Tryon School for Boys, a now-shuttered juvenile facility, ex boxer and guard Bobby Stewart, channeled his energy into boxing and then introduced Tyson to D’Amato.
Tyson’s ‘first real experience of home and family’ came as D’Amato and wife Camille Ewald moved him into their 14 bedroom mansion.
“Mike felt having keys to a house was a huge deal, because he’d never that security before.
“Camille would cook for him and we’d all eat together, it was the first time he had a sense of normalcy. We took it for granted, but how he grew up his family was his worst enemy.
“He always said I cannot believe white people like me. He’d been built one way before this – rob chains, get beat up, live in the worse humane conditions and start again.
“For the first time he experienced love from Cus and Camille. It was an unforgettable experience to see him break out of that shell.”
After D’Amato died, Tyson often returned to his old home even though he’d moved out.

“We’d go back to the house where Mike would sit in Cus’ chair and transform into him. He liked to sleep in the attic of that home. He held on that love for as long as he could,” Gonzalez said.
“Years after Cus died, he asked me to drive to the house and parked in the driveway. He would stay in the back and cry for hours.”
Gonzalez has made headlines in the past with a book about his time with Tyson as he witnessed his fall from reigning champion to a convicted rapist.
Rudy levelled a raft of allegations against Don King, who became Tyson’s top aide and promoter.
He raised questions about how Tyson ended up being given a six-year prison sentence for raping beauty-pageant contestant Desiree Washington in Indianapolis in 2004.
He watched Tyson break down learning that his entire fortune was lost after signing over much to companies he never owned – given that he could not read properly.
Gonzalez claims King ‘psychologically broke him,’ adding: “Mike’s story would have had a different ending if Cus had lived longer. His sister Denise always made me promise to keep Mike away from Don, calling him a clown.”
He claimed that he witnessed ‘deceit, betrayal, and fraud perpetrated’ upon Tyson.
