And AJ’s second professional defeat has seen his stock with the World Boxing Association plummet.
The Olympian is now behind fellow Brit Daniel Dubois, Michael Hunter, Robert Helenius and Hughie Fury – the cousin of WBC champ Tyson – in the WBA’s heavyweight pecking order.
Newly-crowned WBA champ Usyk sits atop of the organisation’s rankings.
Joshua, 32, will bid to exact revenge on the undefeated Ukrainian in a potentially do-or-die rematch early next year.
A date for the pair’s second encounter hasn’t been finalised, although SunSport understands the fight is in the works for the spring.

Defeat to his fellow Olympic gold medallist has lit a fire under AJ, who told iFL TV: “I’m done with f***ing losing.
“I’m done with trying to learn the sweet science.
“The referee might get thrown on the floor in the next fight because this is war.
“It’s just straight war, I’m annoyed.
“I’m boiling up even speaking about it – it’s that passion to win.”
He added: “I have one thing in my mind, that’s war, that’s murder, that’s war, let’s go out there and hurt the guy.
“Take his soul to the point where he wants to give up.

“You hit people constantly, keep on applying a certain amount of pressure, before they know it they’ll realise you aren’t going anywhere, you’re here to stay.

Eddie Hearn doubts timeline for Tyson Fury’s return but ‘hopeful’ Dillian Whyte will get next crack at Gypsy King

EDDIE HEARN reckons Tyson Fury’s plans for a February homecoming won’t come to fruition. The Gypsy King is planning to make the second defence of his heavyweight title in a little over two months’ time but is currently without an opponent.

Fellow Brit Dillian Whyte was expected to face the WBC king but has found himself embroiled in an arbitration case with the governing body.
And Matchroom Boxing chief Hearn believes that’ll scupper Fury’s plans, telling iFL TV: “I don’t believe he fights in February.
“Because he’s coming off a bit of man flu, as he says, and we’re [in] December next week.
“I think realistically March and hopefully, it’ll be Dillian Whyte.”
Despite being Fury’s mandatory, Brixton banger Whyte has taken legal action against the WBC to ensure he gets his long-awaited crack at the coveted green belt.
Hearn explained: “That’s why he’s done it. Becuase if he left it to the WBC, which he has done, he wasn’t able to get what he deserves, in his opinion.

“So that’s why he’s gone down this route.
“And when this ruling is made, it’ll be a lot more solid and clear and, yeah, favourable as well, we expect.
“So that’s the reason behind the process.”
Hearn doesn’t expect the ongoing legal proceedings to have any effect on Whyte’s bid to fight for a world title.
He said: “No, I don’t believe so. It’s just a timing issue and hopefully, there’s a ruling on that in due course.”
Fury is paying no attention to Whyte’s battle with the WBC and is focused solely on getting back in the ring.
I will destroy them all like I have done all my lifeTyson FuryOn heavyweight rivals
He told iFL TV: “I thought I was going to be fighting Dillian Whyte but I don’t know what he has going on in his private life with the WBC.
“He has a court case going on and it’s kind of s***** because I know how long arbitrations can take because my own one with Deontay Wilder took 18 months.
“I hope he does not get caught in the long grass and I hope I don’t get forced into another fight like a voluntary defence.
“But I don’t care because they are all just work-outs for me, I will destroy them all like I have done all my life.
“It does not matter if it is Dillian Whyte, Dillian Blue or Dillian Grey.
“I am not interested in waiting around for other people, I will be fighting again in February, early March latest, defending my WBC heavyweight world title.”

TERENCE CRAWFORD was left gobsmacked after he was told Shawn Porter was winning their welterweight showdown.Bud scored a sensational tenth-round TKO victory over the former IBF 147lb champion last weekend to retain his WBO strap.

But moments before he became the first man to stop Showtime, he was left dumbfounded by his corner’s assessment of the fight.
Coach Brian McIntyre told the southpaw: “Hey, this fight is close. Porter’s up. This is {round] ten.”
A perplexed Crawford replied by asking: “Okay. I’m up? He’s up?”
A fired-up McIntyre replied: “C’mon, Bud, pay attention to me. Round ten coming up. We got to double in like he was.”
Before rising to his feet, a shocked Crawford said: “They say he up, they say he up. Ten coming up?”
After being told ‘we got to go’, a laser-focused Crawford asked once more: “He’s up? Okay.”

A minute after hearing his coach’s impassioned plea to up the tempo, Crawford rocked the durable Porter with a beautiful counter right hand before putting him on the canvas with a left hook.
A furious Porter repeatedly smacked the canvas as the referee issued the count, which he beat.
But dotting dad Kenny had seen enough, opting to throw in the towel and save his son from taking any more punishment.
An elated Crawford burst into a primal scream as he celebrated the biggest victory of his career.
Crawford, 34, now has his sights on a long-awaited showdown with unified welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr, who had a front-row view for the fight.
In the post-fight press conference, he said: “He [Spence] was at my fight?”

Tyson Fury warned Canelo Alvarez’s training partner will end WBC heavyweight champ’s unbeaten record

FRANK SANCHEZ is quickly working his way up the heavyweight division, with the 29-year-old Cuban currently ranked No6 in the world by the WBC. He trains alongside Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez and has been tipped to beat the unbeaten Tyson Fury if they fought TODAY by manager Mike Borao.

Sanchez was the co-main event for Fury vs Wilder III, beating Efe Ajagba by unanimous decision to extend his record to 19-0.
And Borao believes Sanchez is the man who will inflict a first defeat on the unbeaten Fury, who’s record currently stands at 31 victories and one draw.
He told Sky Sports: “Frank Sanchez is one of the most active high-profile fighters today.
“Frank was the co-main event for Fury vs Wilder III, he has featured on Canelo’s pay-per-view fights, and he is now co-main event for the Charles Martin vs Luis Ortiz pay-per-view fight.
“His rise has been extraordinary, as well as his undeniable talent. I think Frank Sanchez beats Tyson Fury today.”
The Gypsy King is yet to confirm his next opponent after sensationally knocking out Deontay Wilder in October.

But he could find himself in a bout with Sanchez soon if the 6ft4in ‘Cuban Flash’ continues on his current trajectory.
Borao went on to say: “At Frank’s current pace, I have no doubt he will become No 1 contender in short order.
“The day Frank Sanchez gets the opportunity and fights for a world title is the day he becomes heavyweight champion.”
Sanchez returns to the ring against Carlos Negron on New Year’s Day as he works his way towards a world title shot.
Fury meanwhile is expected fight again in the spring of next year.
Dillian Whyte, 33, and Joe Joyce, 36, are among the contenders to have called out The Gypsy King.
Fans are desperate for a unification bout between Fury and the winner of Anthony Joshua v Oleksandr Usyk II, with that possibly on the cards for the end of 2022.
But Fury himself has called for AJ to step aside and let him fight Ukrainian Usyk.
Although recently speaking on his next opponent, Fury said: “I’m not really interested, because to be honest it doesn’t really make much sense who I want to fight at this moment.
“It’s who’s available and what makes sense later on.”

Meet professional boxer Mark Little who shed 11 STONE as he attempts to extend near-perfect cruiserweight record

‘LAZINESS’ and ‘too many cafe breakfasts’ saw pro boxer Mark Little balloon to 24 stone. But the 33-year-old East Londoner turned his life around in inspiring fashion and shed more than 11 STONE before building up a near-perfect record in the ring.
Boxer Mark Little dropped more than 11st through boxing training before eventually turning pro
The 12-1 cruiserweight once tipped the scales at 24st
His journey is an inspiring one to anyone battling weight issues
Dad-of-three Little was spurred into action after seeing a picture of himself at his cousin’s wedding in which he said: “It looked like my daughter was sitting on my belly.”
That was Christmas Eve 2011 and in the 10 years since, the cruiserweight has been on a journey which has transformed his physical and mental health.
And in a frank and honest interview with SunSport, Little opened up on the highs and lows of the last decade, why he weighed so much and what he’d say to others struggling with their own bodies.
He said: “I was 24st at my heaviest. I was a big big lad.
“It was just laziness. I was never big as a kid. But as soon as school finished that was it.
“I was a builder when I first left – I became a ‘chippy’ [carpenter] – and cafe breakfasts and things like that didn’t help.

“But I had no fitness, was never a gym man or anything like that. It was just laziness.
“I wasn’t doing anything outside work and I just got bigger and bigger and bigger.
“Doctors used to tell me it was time to lose a bit of weight. I never had a real scare as such, it was more people telling me ‘you’re looking a bit fat’.
“But it was a confidence thing as well. I hated it. You hate the way you are. Just being down on yourself is rubbish.
“You never feel confident so I had to do something that was going to turn it around.”
Little is from Silvertown in the heart of London’s docklands and works at the iconic Tate and Lyle sugar factory – a stone’s throw from where he grew up.
He balances 12-hour day and night shifts as a machine operator with intense workouts with trainer Paul Cook, 63 – father of former WBO super-featherweight world champ Nicky.
And that’s on top of a hectic family life as husband to Charlene, 33, and dad to Shanie, 10, Darcey, seven, and Stanley, two.
Despite being just a baby at the time, Shanie played a huge role in her dad’s decision to turn his life around.
This 2011 picture of Little with his daughter Shanie, now 10, encouraged him to get in the gym
Little, 33, had 12 unlicensed bouts before turning pro in November 2015
Little explained: “In 2011, my cousin got married on Christmas Eve and there was a picture of me holding my little girl and it looked like she was sitting on my belly.
“I hated it. And it was from then I thought: ‘I’ve got to join a gym.’
“It wasn’t about boxing or anything like that. But I thought ‘I like boxing’ so let’s use it as an interest to keep me going to the gym.
“Then I found Paul and the rest is history.
“In total I’ve lost about 10-and-a-half, 11 stone. That’s where I’m at now.
“The most I lost was about 11-and-a-half stone but that was too much.
“I couldn’t sustain being down that far so we lifted that back up a little bit and I’m comfortable where I am now.
“I walk around at 15st and on fight nights I’m at around 14st 4lbs.”
Cook was a reserved but quick-witted bystander as Little spoke candidly to SunSport about his past situation.
But the experienced trainer’s presence did not stop his fighter from heaping praise on ‘the only person I listen to’.
Trainer Paul Cook, 63 – father of former WBO super-featherweight champ Nicky – has worked with Little since 2012
The cruiserweight is fighting Ossie Jervier on Saturday night at the iconic York Hall in Bethnal Green
Little said: “Paul changed my life around.
“He had a few boys in the gym [in 2012] doing boxercise classes – all unlicensed boxers.
“At first I was pretty much watching really, I didn’t do anything in the gym, just watched.
“And then I got the courage to ask Paul if he could train me and we started from there.
“After about four weeks, Paul said ‘I’m going to get you fighting’ but I said: ‘No way, never’.
“I never thought I’d be doing something like this.
“To turn pro was a massive achievement and to go on and be 12 unbeaten was unbelievable.
“If it ends now, we’ve done brilliantly. But we’ve got loads more to give.”
After 10 wins and two defeats on the unlicensed circuit, Little – who names Lennox Lewis and Ricky Hatton as his boxing idols – turned professional in November 2015.
And the lifelong West Ham fan – whose apt nickname is ‘The Boleyn Boy’ after the club’s old ground – won his first 12 bouts before suffering defeat last time out.
‘Boleyn Boy’ Little is a lifelong West Ham fan
He lost to Lithuanian Andrius Ruzas on points back in September 2019 and has not fought since.
But the cockney fights again tonight at Bethnal Green’s iconic York Hall – a venue he’s made his home with 11 of his 12 fights there since his pro debut.
He faces fellow Londoner Ossie Jervier, 40, who is 6-15 but is ‘tough as nails’, according to Little.
Despite his elevated profile – particularly among Hammers fans – and his goal to become Southern Area champion and fight for the British title, Little has never forgotten the hurdles he’s had to overcome.
He does not hide away from the difficulties of battling weight issues.
But he does have an inspiring message for anyone in the same boat he was all those years ago.
He said: “It was a mental thing to start with.
“But then physically once you start it’s really hard, especially with work but that’s just something we’ve done now and it’s part of my life.
“I’m always in the gym. I’d never go back to how I was. I’m too vain now!
“I’m not saying I’ll be staying around fight weight once I’ve finished boxing but I won’t be massively unfit or overweight that’s for sure.”
    ‘DON’T BE SCARED’
And asked if he had a message for anyone carrying a little too much weight who is looking to make a positive change, Little emphatically said: “Just do something.
    “Whatever happens don’t be scared.
“Join a gym. People there will understand what you want.
“And that can be a fitness gym or a boxing gym, just use a gym or do something.
“Find something you’re interested in. There might be something in the gym, it doesn’t have to be boxing, it could be cycling, anything.
“Just try and focus on something and use it as I did to keep you interested. Even a personal trainer. Just anything to keep you motivated.
“If I can do it, anyone can do it.
“It takes a little while but pick what you want to do and go and do it.
“Don’t worry, don’t stress, just have a go and see what happens.”
And any tips for sorting out diets?
‘THE HARDEST THING WAS THE FOOD’
Little said: “At the start the hardest thing was the food.
“It’s hard to take away what you love. It’s far from easy but it’s easier once you get the diet right.
“It’s a mind game. You’ve just got to tell yourself: ‘This stuff is no good for me’.
“I wasn’t on a nutrition plan or anything like that. I was just trying to make three meals-a-day of good food.
“I’m not saying I’ve never eaten bad food since, of course I have, but just understand what you’re eating.
“If you’re going to have a bad one, have a bad meal-per-week or something, just don’t go and do it three nights-a-week!”
Little has had a West Ham season ticket for 16 years and previously donated portions of his fight purses to well-known Hammers-linked charities Isla’s Fight and the DT38 – Dylan Tombides Foundation.
Little – pictured with Hammers captain Mark Noble – has previously donated large purse percentages to well known West Ham-linked charities Isla’s Fight and the DT38 – Dylan Tombides Foundation
And while the likes of Floyd Mayweather, Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua are multi-millionaires, Little accepts he won’t make a fortune out of boxing.
He still relies on ticket sales to make money from his fights but his motivation lies elsewhere.
Asked what drives him to keep to the rigorous training sessions week in, week out, Little said: “Not failing.
“I want to achieve something. If we win the Southern Area and come out of boxing I’ll be happy.
“The British title is like a world title for us. But one shot at a time.”
    No plans to quit then…?
With a laugh, Little said: “Until I cant do it or until Paul tells me, I’m not giving up yet.”

Derek Chisora open to Tyson Fury bout after Joseph Parker after Gypsy King named him in five-fight wishlist

DEREK CHISORA has revealed he would be willing to face Tyson Fury next year providing he beats Joseph Parker in December. The heavyweight, 37, is hoping to avenge his split decision defeat to New Zealand’s Parker when he rematches the former world champion next month.

Despite already having 11 losses on his professional record, a win over Parker would put Chisora back in the mix for a world title shot.
That would come against either Fury or the winner of the rematch between champion Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua.
And when asked if he would step in to face Fury next year, Chisora told The Mail: “Yeah, man. I like Tyson Fury, he’s done well for himself.
“Yeah, why not? If he’s there we’ll do it.”
Chisora and Fury have already fought each other twice in the past – both of which were won by The Gypsy King.
The first clash came back in 2011 as Fury outboxed Chisora to win by unanimous decision.

They then rematched three years later and this time the 6ft 9in giant was even more dominant, switching to southpaw and handing Chisora a thorough beating before he retired in the corner after the 10th round.
Since then, the pair have struck up a good friendship outside of the ring.
And it is this positive relationship which bizarrely led to Fury putting Chisora in his five-fight wishlist.
Prior to beating Deontay Wilder yet again last month, he said: “So here’s what me bucket list is.
“I’m gonna fight Wilder on October 9th, I’ll fight Dillian Whyte back in the UK for the first time in years at a stadium up in the north, Manchester or something in December. Let’s get a date in December. I’ll shut that bum right up, that’ll be an easy one.
“And then I’ll fight Joshua in March in Saudi Arabia, let’s do it, and then we can have a rematch in the summer back here at Wembley.
“And then I’ll go out in me last fight, that’ll be about, however long, two years, and I’ll fight Derek Chisora. That’s five fights, yeah?
“And then I’ll take two years out of the ring, just going absolutely nuts again, and I’ll come back at 37 and wipe the floor with whoever’s next. Because it’ll take two years to build someone up.”
    TWO LOSSES TO FURY
Fury is currently waiting to see if WBC No1 challenger Whyte will be instilled as the mandatory challenger for his world title.
At the organisation’s recent convention Whyte was not confirmed as the mandatory challenger because he currently has an ongoing legal dispute with the WBC.
Other potential opponents for Fury include Joe Joyce or a rematch with Swede Otto Wallin.
Usyk and Joshua are not expected to be available for Fury to fight next as they have a contracted rematch clause.

Love Islander Tommy is confident of wiping the floor with the boxing novice – so much so dad John has revealed he wants to perform a quick turnaround to batter Logan after spanking The Problem Child.
John, 57, told talkSPORT: “We can’t lose this, it’s impossible that Jake Paul can beat this man.
“All it is is we’re just enjoying because we’re very lucky to be in the situation before Christmas.
“And it’s just gonna make for the greatest Christmas for the Furys that we’ve probably ever had.
“Because we’ve just come off a good win with Deontay Wilder, we’re flying high. This is just icing on the cake.

Tyson Fury slams ‘mug’ Anthony Joshua for criticising Deontay Wilder’s strategy in trilogy loss after his Usyk defeat

TYSON FURY slammed Anthony Joshua as a ‘mug’ for criticising Deontay Wilder after his own defeat to Oleksandr Usyk. Joshua was outclassed over 12 rounds in September as he tried but failed to outbox Usyk.

Just two weeks later, Fury dramatically knocked out Wilder in round 11 of their epic trilogy bout in Las Vegas.
AJ recently broke down the Bronze Bomber’s loss and put it down to the American’s approach tactically.
But Fury, appearing to reference Joshua’s own shortcomings against Usyk, tweeted: “Irony of this mug.”
It comes after Joshua told JD Sports: “[Wilder] tried, but to get that power and that ferociousness, you have to have it up here [points to his head].
“Before you have it just here [clenches fists] at that level, you have to have it here [points to his head] as well.”

But Wilder, 36, won his right to his contracted trilogy bout with the unbeaten Brit, so AJ was instead mandated against Usyk.
After losing, he has now invoked his right to an immediate rematch, meaning Fury’s hopes of a unification are slim.
The Gypsy King and his US promoter have tried to urge AJ to step aside and allow him to instead face Usyk.
But with that almost impossible, Fury fears Joshua will lose the rematch with Usyk and their fight will go up in smoke for good.
He told Boxing Lowdown: “If Joshua goes in again and loses, which I think he will, that fight’s dead in the water for me.
“But if he lets me fight Usyk and I batter Usyk, then I’d come back and batter him as well.”
