But Eubank Jr is sure Joshua is still as motivated as he was before he became a global superstar after getting some work in with the former unified champ in Dubai.
In an interview with Sky Sports, NextGen said of his training with Joshua: “Importantly, he was looking hungry.
“Despite how much money he has made and how many fights he has won, the hunger is still there which means a lot.
“He is trying to get better by looking for a new trainer so he can change his tactics and beat Usyk.
“I would love to see that.
“He showed in his second fight with Andy Ruiz Jr that he can switch game-plans and learn from his mistakes.”

Joshua, 32, has been looking for a new head coach ahead of his potentially do-or-die rematch with Usyk, who turned him over on points in their Tottenham tussle last September.
Eubank Jr knows a thing or two about seeking advice from a new set of eyes, recently training with renowned coach Eddy Reynoso as well as head trainer Roy Jones Jr.
He said: “After a loss, you think: ‘How can I get better? How can I do things differently?’
“You can’t keep doing the same thing because it didn’t work.
“You have to find somebody that you really connect with. “Don’t go to the first person that you meet. Go to America, go to other countries.
“If you hear someone is good to work with? Go and work with them. Test it out Then choose.”

After Usyk’s hopes of an undisputed fight with Tyson Fury went up in smoke, Joshua’s second clash with the Ukrainian is expected to take place in the spring.
And WBC titleholder Fury has claimed the undisputed bout didn’t come to fruition as Joshua and upcoming opponent Dillian Whyte wanted too much money.

Tyson Fury laughs and mocks Eddie Hearn over claims that he pulled out of Oleksandr Usyk undisputed title fight

TYSON FURY has mocked Eddie Hearn over claims from the boxing promoter that the Gyspy King ‘pulled out’ of an undisputed title fight against Oleksandr Usyk.Usyk is currently contracted to a rematch with AJ, having beaten the British superstar in September for the WBA, IBF and WBO belts.
Tyson Fury has laughed off Eddie Hearn’s claims that he dodged a fight against Oleksandr Usyk
But Middle Eastern backers were leading talks for the Ukrainian to instead face WBC champion Fury in a historic four-belt unification.
But Hearn has said that Fury was never interested in facing Usyk next.
Now Fury has quite literally laughed off Hearn’s claims.
The WBC heavyweight king uploaded a video to Instagram, tagging in the Matchroom boss.
He said: “Finished in the gym, I couldn’t be any happier boys and girls.
“I am in a very good mood, for very lots of reasons. That’s all I’ve got to say”, before the champ let out a huge belly laugh.

Usyk is currently contracted to a rematch with AJ, having beaten the British superstar in September for the WBA, IBF and WBO belts.
And Fury looks set to take on his WBC mandatory challenger, fellow Brit Dillian Whyte.
ESPN is reporting that there was an agreement for Joshua and Whyte to ‘step aside’ – but then this ‘fell apart after the parties attempted to renegotiate at the 11th hour’.
Fuyr retweeted this train of though, adding: “It’s called greed.”
Hearn told iFL TV: “The reality of the situation is; we would be willing to see a long-form agreement with a plan for AJ.
“But we’re not even at that stage. Tyson Fury had the opportunity to discuss – Fury doesn’t want to fight Usyk, in my opinion.
“Because he had the opportunity to do it through these discussions and really, when it came down to it, he really don’t want to.
“What Fury wants to do is have a little easy one in March, that’s what he really wants to do.
“Now, he’s going to have to fight Dillian Whyte, and by the way, after all of this kerfuffle, he’ll get beat by Dillian Whyte, he’ll get knocked out by Dillian Whyte.
“But the reality is, when it really came down to it, he never wanted to fight Oleksandr Usyk.
“Because he could’ve gone straight into a fight with Oleksandr Usyk, but he didn’t want to go straight into a fight with Oleksandr Usyk.
“But you won’t ever hear that and the public won’t ever hear that. You’ll just hear Fury on Instagram, screaming and shouting with smoking mirrors.” More

Usyk relaxes on snow-covered beach as manager slams Tyson Fury over ‘p***y’ jibe after Gypsy King pulls out of fight

OLEKSANDR USYK seemed relaxed enough on a snow-covered beach today despite seeing a potential undisputed heavyweight fight disappear.Promoter Eddie Hearn has claimed that Tyson Fury has pulled out of a bout against Usyk for all the belts.
Oleksandr Usyk seemed to be enjoying himself on a snow-covered beach
Usyk’s manager Egis Klimas is NOT happy with Tyson Fury
Usyk is currently contracted to a rematch with AJ, having beaten the British superstar in September for the WBA, IBF and WBO belts.
But Middle Eastern backers were leading talks for the Ukrainian to instead face WBC champion Fury in a historic four-belt unification.
For that to happen, Joshua, 32, and WBC mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte, 33, would need to receive a fee sit out, believed to be £15million and £5m.
And Hearn admitted they were ready to listen to offers for AJ, but would also need a guarantee of fighting the winner between Fury, 33, and Usyk, 35.
But the promoter has now claimed the Gypsy King ‘never wanted’ to fight Usyk next and will instead face No1 contender Whyte.
Fury has been very vocal of late on social media, even labelling Usyk as a ‘p***y’

And the former Disney star has alluded to a major announcement being made on Thursday.
On Wednesday night, Paul wrote on his Instagram story: “Big announcement coming tomorrow. @mostvaluablepromotions.”
A few hours later, Paul suggested the announcement would create serious waves.
In response to a tweet from MMA journalist Ariel Helwani, Paul said: “Listen, buddy, all these emojis are cool but you’re gonna s**t your pants tomorrow.”
It’s unclear what power, if any, Paul will have to implement change at Endeavour following his recent purchase of shares.
But the Problem Child – along with his investment partner Geoffrey Woo – hopes to encourage impact and activist hedge fund investors to come on board and make a serious impact.

Fury has finally agreed to defend his WBC belt against domestic rival Dillian Whyte
And he looks fighting fit as shown by a snap he posted on Instagram following a workout session.
But while he was all smiles in the ring alongside his dad and pals, the unbeaten Mancunian has been a frustrated figure out of it.
Purse bids for his mandatory defence against the Body Snatcher have been pushed for a fourth time, with the final auction now scheduled for Mexico City on Friday.
A WBC statement said: “The World Boxing Council has received once again requests from the teams of Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte, to extend the period of free negotiations.
“The WBC has granted this final extension and If there is no agreement, a purse bid will be held this coming Friday, January 28.”
Fury had hoped to face WBA, WBO and IBF champ Oleksandr Usyk with the pair in talks for an undisputed clash in the Middle East.

Though for that blockbuster to go ahead, Whyte and Anthony Joshua, who is contracted to an immediate rematch against Usyk, would have to accept step-aside money.
Part of the plan would have to include AJ getting first crack at all four of the belts – after the potential Saudi Arabia clash – but Whyte is the WBC’s long-waiting mandatory challenger and would not accept that lightly.
Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed he has received an offer for his two fighters, though stated no agreement has been reached for Fury to face Usyk.
Following the WBC’s statement regarding purse bids, Fury hit out at Joshua and Hearn for blowing a £66million super-fight opportunity.
He said: “I had to do this video, Eddie Hearn and Anthony Joshua have to be the worst two damn businessmen in history. Today they lost 90 million dollars, god damn sons of b******.”
But he has now agreed to defend his title against Whyte after accepting he will not longer face Usyk next.
In an Instagram story, he remarked: “I can’t wait to punch Dillian Whyte’s face right in, mate.
“I am going to give him the best hiding he has ever had in his life. Dillian Whyte, train hard because you are going to get annihilated, bum.” More

Tyson Fury’s five options for next fight like cave to Whyte’s demands, take on UFC’s Ngannou or RETIREMENT curveball

TYSON FURY has told his heavyweight world title rivals they are running out of time to make fights or accept step-aside deals. But the 6ft 9in undefeated WBC king has plenty of options whichever way the giant-fortune cookie crumbles over the next 24 hours.

Ideally Fury wants to delay his overdue mandatory challenge from Dillian Whyte, leaving him free to face WBA, IBF and WBO champ Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia, to crown an undisputed king.
But that would mean Whyte and Anthony Joshua – who has activated his rematch clause to rerun his September loss to Usyk – not only accepting step-aside money but also the warring pair agreeing terms for who gets first dibs at the winner.
It’s expensive and confusing but could crown the first four-belt heavyweight ruler in history and secure iconic legacies for the four men involved.
But this is a Gypsy King who insists money, world titles and even records and reputations are worthless.
So SunSport has had a look at his options as the clock ticks down to some major announcements and potential shocks.

    Plan A
A big-money boxing fan is ready to stump up the cash to pay AJ and Whyte the step-aside dough and let Fury and Usyk clash in the desert.
Fury would then just be 12 rounds away from emulating Brit legend Lennox Lewis and becoming undisputed champ.
If he succeeds he will be one of the biggest stars on the planet and his next step would be pretty unpredictable.
Any deal AJ and Whyte agree to will have watertight rights to a shot at his WBC title and would like carry huge financial penalties if he were to retire, exit the sport in any way or fail to fulfil his obligation.
But Fury might see that as a fair price to pay for being able to complete the game, retire undefeated and scatter all the belts around, making it almost impossible for any of his rivals, of this era, to emulate.
A bout with Usyk would unify the heavyweight divisionCredit: Richard Pelham / The Sun
    Plan B
Whyte has ongoing legal and arbitration cases with the WBC regarding the length of time he has had to wait for his shot at the green and gold belt and his share of the potential Fury purse.
SunSport understands Fury cannot defend his WBC world title against anyone but Whyte until these disputes are settled.
But his UK promoter Frank Warren has had the Manchester arena on hold for March 26 for some time and he has confirmed Fury could take a keep-warm fight without the WBC world title on the line.
Fury would still defend his respected Ring Magazine belt and his claim to mythical lineal championship and it would serve as a UK homecoming after a handful of American away paypays.
This would also give Whyte and the WBC and AJ and Usyk to settle their differences.
Warren is planning a UK homecoming for Fury on March 26Credit: Getty
    Plan C
Fury loves playing mind games with all of his rivals and in totally different sports too.
UFC heavyweight king Francis Ngannou defended his crown at the weekend and is at war with the company over his relatively poor pay when compared to boxers of similar standing.
Ngannou has insisted he will not fight for the UFC again under his current contract and Fury has teased him about his £500,000-per-fight earnings.
The WBC would probably even back the move by making Fury their franchise or emeritus champion and creating a new fairytale belt for the Brit and Cameroonian to fight over, as they did with the Money Belt they sanctioned Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor to fight over.
Fury has teased Ngannou with the prospect of a big-money fightCredit: AFP
    Plan D
The WBC have decided Whyte only deserves 20 per cent of the purse from any potential fight with Fury.
Considering the 34-year-old Brixton Body Snatcher is their interim champion, former diamond champion and mandatory challenger, it seems very harsh and SunSport understands Whyte’s promoter Eddie Hearn would appeal that figure if it was enforced.
A simple solution would be for Fury to accept parting with around 30 per cent of the potential windfall and meeting Whyte in a UK ring.
But it seems Fury and the WBC have a shared dislike for Whyte and they are unlikely to help the contractual lone wolf in any way.
Negotiations with Whyte and his representatives continue to rumble onCredit: PA
    Plan E
Fury is in the middle of a gruelling training camp, hammering his body alongside fellow heavyweight Joseph Parker and refuelling thanks to imported US nutrition guru George Lockhart.
He seems primed to fight but Fury is totally unpredictable and could scupper everyone’s plans by retiring – temporarily or not.
That drastic move would leave the WBC belt vacant and the unregulated Mexican organisation free to pick from their rankings someone for Whyte to face.
And, following all the bad blood and legal rows that have gone on between them, the WBC could hand him a high-risk low-pay clash against someone like Deontay Wilder, Luis Ortiz or even Brit Joe Joyce.
Fury’s undefeated record would remain intact and he would be backed to return at any time to carry on his career for the sanctioning body.
But this move seems unlikely with so many big-money options on the table. More

Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder made £37m for trilogy fight – 25 times more than all 22 UFC 270 fighters COMBINED

TYSON FURY and Deontay Wilder’s combined purses for their trilogy fight was a staggering 25 TIMES more than the total salaries for fighters competing at UFC 270.The issue of fighter pay in the UFC has always been a prominent one but has really come to the fore over the last six months.

And it became even more of a talking point last weekend after the California State Athletic Commission released the purses for the combatants on the UFC 270 card.
Excluding bonuses, the 22 fighters on the card took home a combined purse of £1,368,718 ($1,844,000).
The lion’s share of that figure went to defending heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou and opponent Ciryl Gane, who took home £445,335 ($600,000) and £371,112 ($500,000) respectively.
Five fighters on the card – who were debutants – received only £7,421 ($10,000) for the respective fights.
The total payout for the UFC card isn’t a drop in the ocean in comparison to what Fury and Wilder pocketed for the epic trilogy fight last October.
The pair took home a combined £37m ($50m) for their final Sin City showdown – a staggering 25 times more than the total UFC 270 payout.

Ngannou’s overall purse will be topped up by his cut of pay-per-view sales, but the disclosed salaries for the UFC’s first numbered card of the year shows there’s still a huge disparity between boxing and MMA payouts.
YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul has been shining a light on the matter over the last six months.
And the former Disney star has recently acquired shares in the UFC’s parent company – Endeavour – in a bid to change the promotion’s pay structure.
Early on Tuesday morning, he tweeted: “I’ve invested in EDR (UFC) stock with my partner @geoffreywoo 2 focus on UFCs ESG standards relating to fighters.
“We believe EDR can drive long-term economic value by increasing UFC fighter pay & providing them healthcare.
“Reaching out to @EngineNo_1 to partner on this ‘Endeavour.'”
Ahead of his maiden title defence, heavyweight king Ngannou insisted he would no longer fight for the purses being offered to him.
The Predator wants to stay in the UFC but would like his contract to be amended so he’s paid more and can have the freedom to box.

He said: “The term of the contract, everything that they put into [it], they hold you like in captivity.
“You can’t do anything, you have no rights. The contract is one-sided.
“You don’t even have health insurance while you’re doing this, putting your body on the line to put on the show. Risking everything.”

Tyson Fury and Usyk ‘given two days’ to strike undisputed deal and step-aside money for Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte

TYSON FURY has two days to finalise a deal to face Oleksandr Usyk in an undisputed heavyweight title fight.Talks over a blockbuster unification bout between the pair have been ongoing since last November, although no serious progress has been made.

Step-aside agreements for Dillian Whyte and Anthony Joshua also have to be sorted outCredit: GETTY
And the fight currently hinges on both Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte accepting step-aside money for their bouts with Usyk and Fury within the next 48 hours.
SunSport understands former unified heavyweight king Joshua is currently mulling over a £15million offer to forgo his rematch with Usyk.
And WBC mandatory challenger Whyte is understood to be willing to accept £5m to step away from his clash with Fury, although he wants guarantees in writing that he’ll eventually be given a title shot.
And according to The Daily Star, Usyk vs Fury will be dead in the water if an agreement isn’t reached and step-aside deals aren’t finalised by Wednesday.
That failure would pave the way for Fury to press on with his long-awaited showdown with former training partner Whyt, with the fight finally going to purse bids.
The pair’s clash has been delayed by Whyte’s refusal to accept a proposed 80-20 split in Fury’s favour.

Whyte, 33, is adamant his status as interim WBC heavyweight champion entitles him to a bigger piece of the pie.
Should an agreement be reached, Fury and Whyte are expected to settle their score on March 26.
On Tuesday morning, Fury urged Whyte and Joshua to get a move on with deciding their next moves.
He said in a Twitter video: “Tick tick f’ing tick tock is the subject today.
“Is Dillian Whyte going to fight me? Is Anthony Joshua going to step aside? Let me know because I’m sick of looking at these bums.
“Sick of listening to their excuses.
“Tick tick tock the time has run out of the bottle, you’re all getting a good hiding, cowards!”
Fury’s demand came a day after Joshua denied reports he’s set to step away from his rematch with the undefeated Usyk.
He said: “I see certain interviews that quote what I said and I think to myself, ‘I haven’t done any interviews.’
“Where did this person get this information from? I’m hearing people say ‘AJ accepts £15m to step aside.’

“I haven’t signed a contract, I haven’t seen a contract. So as it stands, stop listening until it comes from me.
“I’m the man in control of my destiny, I’m the man that handles my business, I’m a smart individual and I make calculated decisions every step of the way.
“Don’t listen to other sources… if I tell you something then you know it’s real.”
