The UFC’s poster boy suffered a tenth-round TKO defeat to Money who many, including Nurmagomedov, believes carried The Notorious.
During an appearance on The Nelk Boys’ Full Send podcast, he said: “It was just like [a] sparring fight.
“And for me, it was not real fight because this guy [is] not a real boxer, and Mayweather what he did, for me it was more like a fake fight.
“This is just my opinion. Maybe, maybe not… Then, what was between us, it was real.
“Everything that happened before the fight, inside the fight, after the fight.”
Three months after his retirement fight, Mayweather claimed he took it easy on McGregor to make the fight ‘look good’ for fans.

Whyte, 33, has remained quiet since promoter Frank Warren won the bid for the clash of former sparring partners but has quietly been preparing for a battle of the ages.
During a live streaming session of the Stamina For Sale podcast, boxing promoter Spencer Fearon told co-host Tunde Ajayi: “I spoke to [Whyte] yesterday and he was properly on one.
“Maybe it was the time, maybe you rang him when he was in the gym. So big up Dillian Whyte. I appreciate that you answered my call.
“I was going to the barbershop with my boy and we had a good chat. And he was just on, bruv, on some war ting bruv. Do you know what I mean?”
Being in battle mode hasn’t clouded the judgement of the interim WBC heavyweight champion.
Fearon continued: “He was very relaxed. Like, ‘Yeah, don’t worry. It’s all good.’ Very relaxed.

Anthony Joshua slammed for ‘attitude’ in Oleksandr Usyk fight as Frank Warren tips Brit to lose rematch

ANTHONY JOSHUA went into his clash with Oleksandr Usyk with the wrong ‘attitude’, according to Frank Warren. The Watford warrior had the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight titles ripped from his clutches in his Tottenham tussle with the slick southpaw last September.

And Frank Warren believes Joshua had the wrong attitude going into the Tottenham tussleCredit: GETTY
AJ, 32, opted to try and outbox the smooth operator instead of using his brute force – a tactic that stunned Queensberry Promotions chief Warren.
The veteran promoter told Boxing Social: “I do fancy Usyk in the rematch, I did feel that Joshua’s corner got it wrong in the last fight.
“I don’t think they got it right at all.
“I feel Usyk’s got his number, I feel Usyk’s got an exceptional trainer in old man Lomachenko, he’s a bloody good trainer and I think they’ll be really up for this in more ways than one.

Joshua will bid to exact revenge on the undefeated Ukrainian in the spring, with SunSport understanding the pair’s rematch is currently being targeted for May.
And former unified heavyweight champ is hellbent on doing a number on his fellow London 2012 gold medallist.
He told iFL TV last year: “For me, I have one thing in my mind, that’s war, that’s murder, that’s war, let’s go out there and hurt the guy.
“Take his soul to the point where he wants to give up. That’s what boxing’s about, I’ve learned that.
“You hit people constantly, keep on applying a certain amount of pressure, before they know it they’ll realise you aren’t going anywhere, you’re here to stay.
“With the game plan, that’s all I have in my mind at the minute, that one track, stay on course, take this guy to places he doesn’t want to go.”
The Golden Boy of British boxing has removed Rob McCracken from his role as head coach for the high-stakes rematch but has yet to reveal the identity of his lead trainer.
Promoter Eddie Hearn recently told DAZN: “AJ will do that himself in due course when camp starts, there’s been training in the US, there’s been training in the UK.
“He’s, he’s got a good idea in his mind now what his team will look like for that training camp.

“In the next three or four weeks, it’ll be time to enter camp and I’m sure we’ll make an announcement about who’s on the team.
“It’s a camp which is going to be very important for his career and one he’s very excited about.”

But Brixton banger Whyte wants a bigger slice of the pie that’s currently on offer, which defending champ Fury is set to receive a whopping 80 per cent of.
The interim heavyweight titleholder is after the 70-30 split that is typically mandated by the WBC for championship matches.
Queensberry Promotions chief Frank Warren won last Friday’s purse bids for the domestic dust-up with a whopping £30.6million offer.
Should Whyte accept the current spilt on offer, he’ll pocket a meagre £6.1m while Fury will take home a staggering £24.5m of the pot.
Fury, 33, took to social media immediately after his co-promoter won the purse bid and has been actively trolling the rest of the heavyweight division.
Whyte, meanwhile, has yet to speak on the situation, a silence that has prompted Fury to accuse him of going into ‘hiding.’

And the sheer size of the teenage Gypsy King meant former amateur coach Steve Egan didn’t get to see him in action until he was 16.
Egan told SunSport: He came in 6ft4in, 14 stones when he first came into our gym age 14 in 2002.
“One day I turned to my dad and I said, ‘He’s going to be the heavyweight champion of the world.’
“I told Tyson that he’s going to be the heavyweight champion of the world; he didn’t tell me.
“He loved it the fact that I told him he was going to be that good. He started to believe it. We always had a laugh.
“He didn’t fight in the Juniors because he was too big. He was too big for his age, so I couldn’t get him any fights till he was 16.

“There were times he doubted himself too, as a lad, when things didn’t go right in the gym sometimes, and he would say, ‘How can I be world champion when I can’t do this.'”
Brother Shane was the cause of a some Fury’s self-doubt, which Egan did his his best to eradicate.
Egan said: “Once when he was sparring his brother Shane, and Shane had done well for once, Tyson was moaning, ‘How am I going to be world champion when I can’t even beat Shane, a novice!’
“I said to him, ‘Shane knows you better than anyone else, you’ve been messing around with Shane ever since you’ve been little boys !
“‘One day he’s going to get the better of you it’s just one of them things. No one else is going to know you like he does.

Probellum will be like Golden Boy ‘times a hundred’ says president Richard Schaefer as 2022 UK plans are laid out

PROBELLUM president Richard Schaefer expects the promotion to become one of the biggest combat sports entities in the world – and he reckons it won’t be too long before they surpass his former baby, Golden Boy.A mere four months after its inception, the self-proclaimed ‘Global Media and Boxing Company’ has made serious progress with its plan to revolutionise the sport with a unique blend of promotional and media content expertise.

In that short time, they’ve struck 25 partnership agreements with some of the leading boxing promoters, signed multiple broadcast agreements around the world and added some big-name fighters to their roster.
And having already laid the foundations to become one of the biggest players in the sport, Schaefer can’t help but see a bright future for the new kids on the block.
He told SunSport: “This is going to be the biggest boxing promotion platform on a global scale that ever existed.
“I built before the biggest promotion business with Golden Boy. But it really wasn’t a global company, it was a US-based company that did some fights in the UK with Ricky Hatton and Amir Khan and so on.

Schafer was confident the all-star team he assembled would hit the ground running, but even he didn’t envisage the success that has come so quickly.
He admitted: “In my wildest dreams, I could not have imagined that we would be where we are today in such a short period of time.
“There has never been, I’m sure, in the history of combat sports any entity which in such a short period has achieved so much and has delivered, in fact over-delivered, on what we set out to do.
“When you look back at what we’ve done, we’ve really over-delivered. And I like that. Because in boxing and so many other places, people over promise and underdeliver.
‘But our slogan, and my personal slogan, is under-promise and overdeliver and that’s exactly what we’ve done.”
The signings of former world champions Regis Prograis, Badou Jack and Team GB stars Pat and Luke McCormack have reverberated around the boxing world and shown that Probellum mean business.
Schaefer said of their acquisitions so far: “Fighters want to be with Probellum. Whether you’re a young fighter or like the McCormack brothers, turning pro, two of the most sought after fighters in the world.
“And out of the promotions in the world, they decide to go with Probellum.
“Or whether you talk about world champions like Nonito Donaire, a Regis Prograis or a Sunny Edwards and anything in between, fighters want to be with Probellum. And that’s the best endorsement you can get.”
Probellum’s early success has seen them up the number of shows they plan to be involved with from 200 per year to 300.

Schafer revealed: “Initially, we were thinking around 200 events per year where the Probellum brand would be involved either as the sole promoter or the co-promoter.
“But that number is now closer to 300 events per year. When I said four months ago that we’re going to have the Probellum brand involved in 200 events around the world, everybody thought I was crazy.
“Because it is such an unbelievable thing to say. And they said, ‘It’s probably typical promoter talk. But again, instead of 200 events, we’re going to be closer to 300.”
One such show Probellum could be involved with is a potential rematch of the 2019 Fight of the Year between unified bantamweight champion Naoya Inoue and Nonito Donaire.
Schaefer said: “That’s the level that Probellum is involved in after four months. And we’re having advanced conversations here in the United States and the same in the UK.
“So we’re very, very excited. I can only just imagine where we’re going to be in a year’s time.”
Establishing a foothold in the UK is one of Probellum’s top priorities this year – with the promotion’s schedule kicking off with a stacked card in Newcastle on March 25.
“We are going to be doing regular events all over the UK,” Schaefer said. “If you look at our UK and Irish stable, it’s quickly becoming the best stable in the sport.
“And again, in a year’s time, I have no doubt that we will have the single best stable in boxing in the UK.
“The UK is an important market for us. It’s one of our key markets, it’s one of the biggest markets in the sport. And I always said that the UK fight fans, there is nobody like them. They’re the best.”
On the stacked Newcastle show, on which Pat McCormack will make his professional debut, Schaefer said: “We’re going to have the best fighters from the northeast part of your country are going to be fighting on that card.
“It’s going to be, I dare to say, the best line-up Newcastle and that region has seen on a single card.
Probellum will stage its first UK event of the year on March 25 – with Lewis Riston headlining the cardCredit: PROBELLUM
“It’s going to be a big night in Newcastle. I’m going to be flying into Newcastle and I’m going to be there promoting guys myself.”
Although Probellum is still very much in its infancy, Schaefer believes the promotion has planted the seeds for a ‘boxing revolution’.
And with big names and hot prospects continuing to ink deals with the promotion which each passing week, one can’t help but feel the outfit will indeed become one of the main players in the fight game.

‘He never wanted to fight me’ – Tommy Fury slams ‘scared’ Jake Paul for refusing to rearrange after injury KO’d fight

TOMMY FURY has labelled bitter rival Jake Paul ‘SCARED’ for not wanting to reschedule their grudge bout. The pair were originally supposed to face off in December, but Fury pulled out after suffering from a broken rib and chest infection.

It led to claims from YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul that Fury had pulled out on purpose because he didn’t want to face him.
But Fury, 22, insists he’s still more than up for the challenge, and the fact that the clash has not been rescheduled as of yet reflects badly on Paul.
TNT taunted Paul, 25, by saying: “This man never wanted to fight me. If he did, we’d have a rescheduled date.
“I’m not going to allow him to use the excuse, ‘Tommy was scared,’ any longer.
“I think we can all agree now that the only person that looks scared is him.”
Fury had called for the pair to put their unbeaten records on the line in March, three months after they were originally scheduled to fight.

But Paul has claimed he now has no interest in getting in the ring with the Brit, brother of Tyson Fury, and instead ordered him to ‘get some clout’ by facing Tyron Woodley.
Woodley stepped in at the eleventh hour to fight Paul after Fury pulled out, but was emphatically knocked out by the outspoken American.
Paul has claimed he now plans to turn his attention to the UFC, in a £26million fight against MMA legend Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Speaking on The MMA Hour about Fury, Paul claimed the Brit has ‘missed his chance’ to fight.
He said: “He’s delusional and he sort of missed his chance and his opportunity.
“I sort of want him to fight Tyron Woodley and see what happens there.
“Because I think Tyron would knock Tommy out, so, I almost want to have them fight.
“Tommy, people only know him because of me, and so I want him to go get some of your own fans, or clout, or go do some other thing.
“Then, maybe we could run it back after that.” More
