Ukrainian forces are reportedly seeking out separate Russian groups within the capital and the iconic brothers are doing their part in the fight.
Vitali, 50, told Sky News that he and Wladimir, 45, “killed some people, I guess six people last night”.
And the elder brother defiantly claimed they were “ready to die for their home” and showed no fear of Russian forces when talking to CNN.
He said: “We’re not interested in how strong the Russian army is, we’re ready to fight.
“And we’re ready to die for our home country and for our families because it’s our home.
“It’s our future and somebody wants to come to our home and steal our future from us.”

The ring legends recently sent out a video message asking for the international community to make a stand together against “Russian aggression”.
Wladimir said: “I’m calling to all international partners to observe this tragedy that is happening nowadays in Ukraine and this senseless war which is not going to have any winners or losers.
“I just want to tell you we must stay united against this aggression, this Russian aggression.
“Don’t let it continue happening in Ukraine, don’t let it happen in Europe and eventually in the world. United we’re strong. Support Ukraine, thank you.”
Recently it was reported that the Klitschko brothers were on a Russian “kill list” of senior Ukrainians.
Fellow Ukrainian heavyweight boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk has also taken up arms in the fight against Russia.
He told CNN: “‘I really don’t know when I’m going to be stepping back in the ring.
“My country and my honor are more important to me than a championship belt.’

Frampton backed the American social media personality to beat the British bruiser and that didn’t sit well with the 22-year-old or his family.
Tommy told iFL TV: “I think it’s very stupid of him to say something like that.
“He’s a fighter that I used to look up to and watch a lot of his fights but he’s a man I haven’t really got time for anymore.”
When asked if he has spoken to Frampton, Tommy said: “No, not one bit. And I don’t really want to either.
“He’s just a man I don’t want anything to do with because if you’re gonna pick somebody else over your fellow countryman, regardless of whether he can fight or not, it’s a pretty bad job.”
Tommy’s father John also took exception to Frampton’s prediction and confronted the British boxer about it after Tyson’s first press conference against Dillian Whyte on Tuesday.

Fury’s mandatory challenger for the WBC belt failed to show for Tuesday’s press conference — but there was not a single seat left in the 90,000-seat arena after frantic buying on Wednesday.
The April 23 clash will be Fury’s first in England since 2018 and the 6ft 9in star reckons they could have packed out the national stadium without any of his pre-fight theatrics.
Manchester’s world champ, 33, said: “I don’t think this fight needed selling.
“Whyte has been very vocal in the past about how he hates me and I am a coward.
“He said I would never fight him and the rest of the division has been running scared from him for years.
“So now he has his chance to stand up and show if he is a real contender — and not just a pretender.

Promoter Frank Warren put up a world-record purse bid of £30million to secure the right to host the fight.
But he revealed years of being hounded on the streets about Fury’s overdue return to the UK meant he knew he was betting on a sure thing.
He said: “This is what we — the British fans — wanted.

“That is the one question I get asked all the time and it has driven me crazy. But now it is here, he is back, the man is back in town.”

And he has also opened up on the stepaside talks that took place, with Fury desperate for his compatriot to give up a shot at winning back his WBA. WBO and IBF titles so he could fight Usyk in an undisputed dust-up.

“If they did get it I would have considered it but they didn’t get it.

“Money comes with success so I’d rather do what I can do in the ring, get revenge and get the belts back.”
Joshua has also revealed how he wants his rival Dillian Whyte to beat Fury in their WBC title clash at Wembley on April 23.
He remarked: “It’s a good opponent [for Fury], it’s a good [title] defence against Dillian Whyte.
“Dillian Whyte needs to come in, look at what Tyson Fury does and reacts to, and do the complete opposite. Maybe work the body, and be conditioned to go the distance.

“But I hope Dillian trains hard [and] doesn’t underestimate Tyson. Because it’s his first shot for Dillian, I think he’ll be hungry, do you know what I mean?
“This ain’t like his tenth time fighting for a title, you can have a little hiccup along the way. This is his first time fighting for the title.
“I’m rooting for Dillian, even though I hate him, and I want to smash him one of these days. Go on Dillian, I’m with you all the way.” More

Fury now claims the row was just a ‘publicity stunt’ explaining that he and McGregor could never fall out for real.
Speaking at a press conference announcing his next fight against Dillian Whyte, the Gypsy King said: “Beef? Man’s 10 stone [I’m] 20 stone behave yourselves, only beef we would have is me eating him in a beef sandwich.
“[It was a] bit of a publicity stunt. Super Bowl weekend, all eyes on us.”
The ‘beef’ started when Fury shared a picture of McGregor’s rival Khabib Nurmagomedov and praised the retired Russian fighter.
Fury posted: “This man did it right. Got in and won and got out on top. Big respect.”
McGregor, who lost his grudge match with Khabib in 2018, responded by slamming Fury for not stepping in when Billy Joe Saunders’ dad was shoved by security after his son’s scrap with Canelo last year.

The 33-year-old has since deleted the tweet.
Fury then responded saying: “Come back when u win a fight mush, & the difference in me & you is I don’t get myself in trouble & people actually like me, your just a bully who hit old man.”
McGregor then replied: “Oh no people don’t like me what will I ever do hahahahaaha idiot. You are just a little r** licker bro. That’s all. You stood there while your friends father was being attacked and done nothing.”
Fury stopped short of continuing this argument on.
But recently he commented on an old video clip of him praising the Notorious and saying: “It’s all good, we forget it.
McGregor responded: “Fair play Tyson. God bless ya mate.”
The pair appear to have patched up their differences More

“I am very proud to see how patriotic people are,” he told CNN . “We’re not interested in how strong the Russian army is, we’re ready to fight.
“And we’re ready to die for our home country and for our families, because it’s our home.
“It’s our future and somebody wants to come to our home and steal our future from us.”
When asked how long he thinks his makeshift army can hold off Vladimir Putin’s marauding brutes, he admitted his own mortality is part of the equation.
“I’m not ready to give you a clear answer,” he said. “So long, such a long time – if we’re still alive”.
Klitschko’s compatriot and current WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk has also taken up arms and revealed he is ready to kill invaders who threaten his people.

The incredible resilience and commitment is something Klitschko is fiercely proud of.
“We stayed in front of one of the strongest armies in the world,” he added.
“The will to be independent is the main priority for us. And we’re defending our families, our city, our country and our future.”
And the powerhouse who lost to Lennox Lewis in 2003 – nicknamed Dr Ironfirst – revealed it is not just millionaire sportstmen who are valiantly standing their ground.
“There is a huge patriotic movement right now,” he said.
“Old people, can you imagine? doctors, actors, actors from the theatre, many professions that never had no expectation to fight, to keep weapons.
“But right now they are coming to us, they’re ready to fight. It’s amazing.” More

Whyte has decided to stay in training camp in Portugal ahead of their all-Brit blockbuster.
But Fury was determined to have the traditional stare-off – even if it was with a paper version of Whyte.
After the press conference had finished, Fury stood up and said: “Shall we do the face-to-face?
“That’s fine, I will just do it like this. I will definitely win this stare-down.”
Someone in the crowd then shouted: “Look him in the eyes Tyson.”
The undefeated Morecambe mauler then stared at the poster of his future opponent.

Fury then turned to face forwards and extended out his fist before flashing a big smile.
The 33-year-old then invited Frank Warren to ‘get in between the fighters’, which the legendary promoter duly obliged.
It was an eventful presser ahead of the heavyweight showdown.
Warren slammed Whyte as ‘disgraceful and unprofessional’ for not attending, with the challenger’s lawyer has claimed his big-fight silence is in response to his treatment from the rival promoter.
Fury then announced he had come up with a new nickname for his Brit rival, ‘FRILLIAN WHYTE KNICKERS’ and vowed to triumph on St George’s Day in honour of the great dragon slayer.
The champ then announced he would RETIRE after the fight and be happy with ‘£150m in the bank ‘.
However he previously unveiled a five-fight plan before his iconic trilogy win over Deontay Wilder in October.
And the April 23 clash with the Brixton ace is supposed to be a semi-final to face the winner of Anthony Joshua’s rematch with Oleksandr Usyk for the WBC, IBF and WBO belts and legendary undisputed status.
