LEIGH WOOD and Michael Conlan were reunited this morning just hours after their Fight of the Year contender.The featherweight duo put on a war for the ages in Nottingham on Saturday night.

Wood retained his WBA 126lb strap with a brutal 12th-round knockout, sending Irishman Conlan crashing through the ropes.
London 2012 Olympian Conlan was immediately transported to the hospital after the brutal knockout but was discharged after being tended to by doctors.
And he came face-to-face with the man who handed him his first professional loss in the fighter hotel a few hours later.

Conlan, 30, took to Twitter in the early hours of the morning to reassure fans that he was okay, tweeting: “Im all good folks, cheers for the messages.

The Irishman then uploaded a video of himself to social media, in which he said: “I’m all good, I’m just getting checked out in the hospital.
“MY CT scan was all clear, congrats to Leigh Wood, congrats to the team.
“You landed the best shot of the night and got me at the end, bit it is what it is; I’ll be back.”
Conlan was quick to watch back the barnstormer and is champing to have an immediate rematch Leigh-thal.

TWO of the world’s biggest strongmen could soon share the ring as The Iranian Hulk has been called out by his rival the Brazilian counterpart. The 390lb six feet two inches tall ‘Iranian Hulk,’ real named Sajad Gharibi, is currently preparing for a bout at London’s O2 Arena against Martyn Ford on April 30.

But he’s been called out by a fellow man-mountain who has dubbed himself
The Brazilian Hulk is considerably smaller than his Iranian namesake, coming in at 5ft 8 and 230lbs. 
Back in 2019, Romario do Santos Alves, aka The Brazilian Hulk called out The Iranian Hulk saying: “I will go up to 120 kilograms (18.9 stone) and I send a message to you, the Iranian Hulk who is challenging me.
“I will go up to 120 kilograms and you will go down to 120. I will tear off your head.”
The Iranian Hulk recently responded on social media, saying: “Be brave and invite me to fight instead of hiding behind your sponsors.
“I am ready to fight you, show me what you’ve got to say in the ring.” 
Before the Iranian Hulk can think about facing his Brazilian rival, he must first get past man-mountain Ford.
The pair clashed in a heated face-off in Dubai last month, with Ford pushing his opponent to the ground.
But Gharibi is confident of victory and has vowed to rip Ford’s ‘head off’.

Mayweather and Pacquiao fought in 2015 in what is still to this day, the most lucrative boxing match in the history of combat sports, creating £470 million in pay-per-view and gate receipts.

“Losses worked in reverse.
A loss to the champion was a one-point deduction sliding to 11 for a loss to the No. 10 contender.”
Since Mayweather’s and Pacquiao’s mega-money bout in 2015, both fighters have gone on to retire after incredible careers. 
Mayweather, 45, went called time on his professional career for a third time in August 2017 after a blockbuster showdown with UFC superstar Conor McGregor.

His manager Jay Jimenez said: “Luis ‘King Kong’ Ortiz would love an opportunity to step up to the challenge of facing Joshua.”
Ortiz was in a similar situation in 2019 when Jarrell Miller, 33, was pulled from fighting Joshua after three failed drug tests.
But he turned down £7million to instead chase a rematch with Deontay Wilder, 36, which he lost by knockout, his second to the American.
Ortiz is now joined by Otto Wallin in offering his services if Usyk cannot proceed with his rematch.

Wallin, 30, most famously left Tyson Fury, 33, needing 47 stitches in their fight three years ago, which he lost on points.
The Swede rates himself as a better challenge to AJ then Ortiz or Charles Martin, 35, who the British superstar KO’d in 2015.
Wallin told SunSport: “I think if you look at us three, I’d be the best option.
“I had that really good fight with Fury, sent him to the hospital with 47 stitches and was probably Fury’s hardest fight so far.
“If you look at Usyk and you’re trying to find someone that’s similar to him, obviously I’m the best option.
“They know that I’m interested in the fight and I want the fight.”
