JOE JOYCE has called out Tyson Fury for a Battle of Britain, promising to “give it” to the retired Gyspy King.Fury recently drew the ire of the Olympian by dismissing his chances of ever beating him, commenting on Instagram: “The only way anybody could beat me is with a bat while I’m sleeping”.

Fury, 33, has yet to respond to the callout from Joyce – who recently made a beeline for fellow Brit Anthony Joshua.

He then lost his titles for a second time via a unanimous points decision from the judges when he fought Usyk in September 2021.
The rematch between the pair has been delayed by broadcasting issues, but could be announced sometime ‘next week’ according to Eddie Hearn.
However, Joyce believes Joshua needs to make some big changes in order to win the rematch. He said: “I thought as soon as the fight started with him and Usyk, Usyk went straight to work.

August 13 is understood to be the new working date for the Saudi showdown, which promoter Eddie Hearn hopes to announce soon.
The Matchroom Boxing told iFL TV: “I’m very confident you’ll have news next week. I know I’ve said that before, but it’s been a long process.

Former super-featherweight champion Garcia never envisaged training a heavyweight contender, telling Little Giant Boxing: “I always thought heavyweights maybe was not a good idea because it’s different.
“Their way of training is a lot different than a lightweight. We’re used to doing a lot of rounds on mitts, speed work and running a lot more. With heavyweights, it’s a different story.”
Garcia made two secret trips to the UK to train with AJ before his appointment was confirmed and has been thoroughly impressed by the Brit’s work ethic.

He said of Joshua: “He’s a very, very challenging fighter for himself. He wants those challenges and he trains hard.
