And, after Dubois grabbed the WBA regular title in Miami from a battered Trevor Bryan on Saturday night, trainer Shane McGuigan picked PPV fans’ favourite Whyte as the best commercial target.
But Dynamite Dan remembers the slurs Whyte and a few other rivals hurled at him and insists it would be more than just business for him.
“Yeah I definitely will be,” he said when asked if his hit list will include the possible opponents who insulted him.
“I’ll be looking down the list thinking – right, that one said that about me. 

“Dillian said that about me so he’s getting it. I’ll be the bad guy again.”

“Dillian has only lost to elite guys in AJ, Fury and Povetkin, who he got rematch revenge over, I did not say his name out of disrespect. Dillian is a very good fighter. 
“It would be a huge step-up for Dan but it would be a great one and I think it would sell out any arena we took it to. It would create a lot of interest because a lot of people will think he isn’t ready for it. 
“We need to target a really credible name and ideally someone that has been selling out PPV shows and Dillian has consistently done that.

DANIEL DUBOIS bashed his way into the heavyweight title picture after knocking out Trevor Bryan. The fourth-round victory in Miami earned Dubois the trinket WBA “Regular” belt and a mandatory challenger position for the real thing.

But there are several other massive fights that await Dubois, 24, if he cannot get his hands on any of the other champions.
He revealed Dillian Whyte was his top target but the fellow contender is just one of many options on the table.

Dubois’ only career defeat came in 2020 against Joyce, who made the Londoner take a knee after battering his eye.
Joyce, 36, is now sitting pretty as WBO mandatory for the winner between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk’s rematch.

And according to the Daily Mail, a site fee alone is due to bank close to £100m as Sheiks shell out to bring AJ back to the Middle East.
Joshua, 32, was paid £66m for his December 2019 rematch win over Andy Ruiz Jr, 32.
This time around, after he was beaten by beaten by 35-year-old Usyk in September, they will share all earnings 50/50.
Their first fight is also believed to have sold 1.2m pay-per-views, Planet Sport say.
