Piers Morgan ‘looking forward’ to Tyson Fury’s next fight with TalkTV host set to win £1million bet with Gypsy King

PIERS MORGAN says he’s “looking forward” to seeing Tyson Fury fight again with the TalkTV host set to win £1million if the Gypsy King steps back inside the squared circle. Sun columnist Morgan, 57, spoke to WBC world heavyweight champion Fury following his Wembley win over Dillian Whyte earlier this year.

In the aftermath of the all-British clash, Fury announced his retirement from boxing.
But he could be set to step back inside the squared circle to face WBA, WBO and IBF king Oleksandr Usyk following his points victory over Anthony Joshua.
Speaking after the thriller in Saudi Arabia, the unbeaten Ukrainian, 35, stated he will fight nobody else if he cannot land a showdown with Fury.
An undisputed affair between the pair could be worth as much as £500m, with Fury giving Usyk’s team one week to agree a deal to fight him.

But should he lace up the gloves again, he will have to give Morgan £1m following a bet they made on TalkTV in June.
After insisting he will only box again for £500m, Morgan asked Fury: “How about if you do fight again, you give me a million pounds?”
To which Tyson replied: “If I am getting half a billion for my fight it won’t matter will it. Yep, 100 per cent.”
Fury later declared he will honour the wager with Morgan.

Speaking to talkSPORT, he said: “I’ll owe Piers Morgan one million pounds, in pound coins.”
And Morgan said on Twitter as a reminder: “Looking forward to the Gipsy King @Tyson_Fury⁩ fighting again…”
On a fight with Usyk, Fury says offers have to be submitted by the end of the month.
Fury said: “Everyone keeps asking about this fight with this Ukrainian guy.
“Are you going to come back? Are you going to do this? Are you going to do that?
“I’m retired from boxing and I’m very happy doing that. However, I will come back but it has to be for obscene amounts of money.
“Let’s face it, it’s not Anthony Joshua – which I would’ve done for free in England.
“It’s some foreigner who nobody really cares about. To fight this unknown entity and give him an opportunity of legendary status? They have to pay for that.
“I don’t mind chucking a dog a bone, but I don’t want to chuck him the full f****** dogs’ home.
“They have a week. It’s August 24. They have a week to submit their offers.

“I want it in writing with proof of funds. This fight is purely about money. I’m happily retired. I don’t need money, I’ve got plenty of money.”
Before adding: “This fight is purely about money… [Floyd] Mayweather got £400m for [Manny]Pacquiao and I want £500m for Usyk.” More

And he took things to a whole new level by setting up the stunning golden throne in his £1.7million luxury Morecambe mansion.
The regal seat was a prop used by Fury during his ring-walk in February 2020’s rematch against Deontay Wilder.
Fury also took a minute to sit in the chair on his way to the ring before fighting Dillian Whyte at Wembley in April.
And the throne has now become part of the furniture at Fury’s house.

It certainly won’t look out of place, with the fighter’s stunning £1.7m Morecambe home boasting various luxuries.
The mansion is covered with gold curtains and gold radiators.
There are also huge chandeliers dangling from the ceilings, and the kitchen is decked out in red marble.
The house marks a big upgrade on Fury’s previous abode, a modest £550,000 house by Morecambe’s seaside.

Fury’s previous abode was a £550k house by Morecambe’s seaside
And it’s no surprise the mansion is so well furnished, with Fury reportedly boasting a net worth of £100million.
That figure would grow vastly should he accept a heavyweight division unifier against Oleksandr Usyk.
It would give Fury plenty of more cash to burn.
And he could opt to boost his already-incredible line-up of luxury cars.
Fury owns numerous motors including a £250,000 Ferrari GTC4Lusso, a £140k Porsche Taycan and TWO Rolls-Royce Phantoms – each costing £384k. More

He is optimistic that a deal will be completed soon and has earmarked Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Las Vegas as potential locations for the event.
When speaking to BoxingScene.com, Arum admitted that confirming a location is currently the top priority.
He said: “Saudi Arabia I think had a good experience with the last fight (Usyk vs Joshua) that they did.
“And Qatar is hosting this enormous World Cup event, so they might be interested.

“And then, I’m sure Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates, will be interested. So, yeah, we’ll take all of that into account.
“And there is a lot of interest from people in the United States. I think there’s a group of casinos in Las Vegas that are trying to get together and bring the event to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
“So, that’s all up in the air. We’ll all decide what the best deal is. It’ll be in consultation with Queensberry, Frank Warren and his son, George, and the fighters. But we’re in a great position.”
Only a select few high-profile locations will be able to consider hosting the bout as Fury is demanding a whopping £500MILLION to get back in the ring.

But, the pressure is on as the Gypsy King has set a deadline of September 1 to get the deal completed.
If terms have not been agreed before then, he has threatened to go back into retirement.
Earlier this week, he told TalkSPORT: “Everyone keeps asking about this fight with this Ukrainian guy. Are you going to come back? Are you going to do this? Are you going to do that?
“Let’s face it, it’s not Anthony Joshua – which I would’ve done for free in England.
“It’s some foreigner who nobody really cares about. To fight this unknown quantity and give him an opportunity of legendary status? They have to pay for that.
“They have a week. It’s August 24. They have a week to submit their offers. I want it in writing with proof of funds.”
This came just days after Usyk defeated Joshua in a split decision thriller.
After the fight, the Ukrainian called out Fury and challenged him to an undisputed heavyweight championship bout.

He said: “I’m sure that Tyson Fury is not retired yet. I’m sure, I’m convinced he wants to fight me.

But the Ukrainian came roaring back in the very next stanza, regaining control and never looking back on his way to victory.
Garcia, 47, believes that Joshua could have won the fight, but that Usyk’s surge in round ten changed everything.
Speaking to IZQUIERDAZO, the American said: “During that ninth round, in the corner [we] were telling ourselves we had the fight.
    “Oleksandr Usyk came back stronger.

“I’ve even thought in these last few days that it was Joshua who mentally defeated himself.
“Joshua was mentally defeated since round ten or 11. Round ten was a big one for Usyk.
“That changed the whole fight, and mentally we were defeated.”
Garcia held onto hope that his man may produce a late knockout, but to no avail.

He added: “At that point, we were relying on a good shot or something like that, because Anthony is a hard puncher, and one shot can change a fight.
“That is what we were hoping for, one shot, because he was dominated at that point of the fight.”
