The Croatian is on the hunt for a worthy opponent as he looks to become a world champion.
And Hrgovic, 31, has fixed his sights on Joshua, with both men promoted by Eddie Hearn.
AJ is already making moves after beating Jermaine Franklin in his last fight.
It’s reckoned Joshua will take on fellow Brit Dillian Whyte in August.

And that could pave the way for a highly-anticipated bout against Deontay Wilder in December.
There could even finally be an epic encounter against Tyson Fury further down the line.
But Hrgovic is hoping he gets a go at Joshua in the near future.
The ‘Animal’ has won all 15 of his fights, with 12 coming by way of knockout.

He’s already made light work of big names including Eric Molina and Zhilei Zhang.
And after seeing a bout against Andy Ruiz Jr fall through, Hrgovic is now lining up Joshua for a showdown.
He’s certainly confident of winning, telling Boxing News: “I’ll destroy him. I think I’ll destroy him. If he comes in this shape I’ll destroy him.
“I expected more [against Franklin]. I thought he was going to knock him out, but he was too cautious and didn’t let his hands go.
“It was a decent performance but nothing spectacular. He needs more fights to get back into real shape. People expect to see more from the former two-time champ.
“He was a little bit slow and sleepy, not aggressive. If he wants to become champion again then I’m in his way. I’m IBF mandatory and he should fight me next.” More

The British boxer mixed it up with a number of legendary athletes, such as Roberto Carlos, Francesco Totti, Hernan Crespo as well as Usain Bolt.
They took on England, consisting of a number of Three Lions greats like Paul Scholes, Jermain Defoe and Gary Neville, as well as Team GB icon Sir Mo Farah.
Tommy started on the bench and was fielded by new Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino after 21 minutes when he replaced Maisie Adam amid a loud ovation from the crowd.
However, the brother of Tyson Fury failed to set the pitch alight the same way he has done in the ring against opponents like Jake Paul.

The YouTuber, who is chasing a multi-million-pound clash with the former Love Island star, tweeted: “Tommy Fury should stick to boxing lmao, he’s terrible at football.”

Fans joined in on Twitter, and some even branded him – rather unfairly – as the “worst” athlete to kick a ball.

More importantly, the boxer helped Soccer Aid raise a whopping £14,619,005 for UNICEF and his team also won 4-2.
England found themselves a goal down courtesy of Bolt, but Asa Butterfield put the hosts level before Manchester United legend Scholes completed the turnaround.

UFC president Dana White entertained the crossover bout last month, much to the surprise of many.
And pound-for-pound king Jones admits he’d jump at the opportunity to trade leather with the Brit bruiser.
During a red carpet event in Las Vegas last weekend, he said: “I would love it if Dana could make that fight happen.
“That’s one thing about the UFC, we always give the fans what they want to see.”

He continued: “Tyson Fury is just such a magnificent opponent, and it would be awesome to make that fight happen.
“I’m up for it, and I’d even be willing to box him. Let’s see what happens.”
The ring is seemingly the only place the pair will ever throw down as Fury has no interest in trying his hand at mixed martial arts – despite numerous teases down the years.

But the pair could throw down in a multi-million December dust-up in Saudi Arabia.
UFC Hall of Famer Jones, meanwhile, hasn’t set foot inside the octagon since returning from a three-year lay-off against Ciryl Gane in March.
Bones claimed the vacant heavyweight title with ease, submitting the Frenchman in just under two minutes to become a two-division champion.
The UFC brass are hoping to have Jones return to action in November at Madison Square Garden, the venue for their penultimate pay-per-view event of the year – UFC 295. More

Both men have gone public with their desire to settle their five-year-long feud, which began when they held all the hardware at heavyweight.

The Matchroom Boxing chief told iFL TV: “Subject to a formal contract being sent, we’re very confident that fight gets made.
“I can’t speak on behalf of Deontay Wilder, but I’m very confident he’ll be accepting the money and the deal that comes through from Saudi Arabia.
