The Gypsy King was looking to fight Oleksandr Usyk in an undisputed title showdown but it seems like the Ukrainian star won’t be in action for the rest of the year.
The 34-year-old turned his attention to Joshua, who lost to Usyk for the second time last month, and challenged him to a “Battle of Britain” with a contract already sent his way.

AJ responded to the undefeated star on social media and hinted he would be keen for a fight in December.
Meanwhile, a clip has surfaced on YouTube from “Fight Night Champion Simulation” amid the ongoing hype showing the two heavyweights fight in a simulation bout.

And it seems like Fury would extend his undefeated streak with a devastating knockout punch in the fifth round, based on the game’s outcome.
The first two rounds showed each man trying to figure each other out.
But Joshua would land the better punches in the first three rounds and would be ahead in the scorecards by scoring 10s, compared to Fury’s 9s.
AJ would be on top by the fourth round but that is where the tide would turn with the Gypsy King’s offence getting the best of his opponent.

By round five, Fury would start wrapping things up with a knockdown that would see Joshua getting up in the count of five.

And the Wythenshawe warrior has tabled an offer to AJ’s team that includes a whopping 35 per cent split of the lucrative purse on offer.
Fury and Joshua were set to do battle last year after agreeing a stunning two-fight deal in March 2020.

But Deontay Wilder scuppered the undisputed bout when he won his arbitration for a trilogy fight with Fury.
Despite being worlds apart in terms of personality, Fury and Joshua do have some things in common.

    Kevin Johnson
Gypsy King Fury was the first to lock horns with American veteran Johnson, facing the now 42-year-old in Belfast ten years ago.
The undefeated Fury was tipped to put on a star showing but failed to deliver, although he did box his way to a unanimous decision victory.
The judges scored the bout 119–110, 119–108 and 119–108 in favour of Fury.
Joshua would do battle with Johnson nearly three years later in what would be his third outing at The O2 Arena.
The fight, however, didn’t last long as he dismantled him in two rounds to score a TKO victory and retain the WBC International heavyweight title.

    Dillian Whyte
Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faced Whyte in a rematch just a matter of months after demolishing Johnson.
The fight provided AJ with the chance to avenge his amateur defeat to the Brixton Body Snatcher.
And he did so with a vicious seventh-round KO following a thrilling back-and-forth affair.
Fury, meanwhile, would get his hands on his former sparring partner nearly seven years later in front of a sold-out crowd at Wembley.
And he’d finish Whyte in a similar fashion to AJ, knocking him out with a brutal uppercut in the sixth stanza.

    Wladimir Klitschko
Fury’s breakout performance came in his November 2015 clash with then unified heavyweight champ Klitschko, who he faced on enemy territory in Germany.
And he defied the odds with an awkward and unorthodox approach to frustrate and stifle the dominant champion and claim the WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO, and The Ring heavyweight titles via unanimous decision.

A showdown under the roof at Cardiff’s Principality stadium in mid-late December might have made sense, especially if the pair could do record-breaking pay-per-view numbers.
But 34-year-old Fury’s promoter Frank Warren has now revealed the fight offer they have made is for a November showdown, giving AJ little more than two months to recover from his August 20 loss to Oleksandr Usyk and prepare for the biggest fight in British boxing history.
Warren told talkSPORT: “This is a voluntary defence and AJ has been a world champion so there should be no problem in making the fight.
“I think the terms we are sending are very fair.

“We are being very fair, if they want to publicise the offer everyone will be very shocked.”
AJ is set to receive a 40 per cent split of what will be the biggest purse in the history of British boxing.
That’s 10 per cent more than he would’ve got if he was a mandatory challenger or ranked in the WBC’s top-15.
Joshua isn’t ranked by the WBC, so Fury will have to cherry-pick him, with special permission from the Mexican sanctioning body, to make the long-awaited domestic dust-up happen.

Dillian Whyte was beaten by Fury in April but he had already been roughed up in the courtroom after losing his fight for more than a harsh 20 per cent cut of their 94,000 Wembley sell-out.
The Body Snatcher had been the WBC’s silver, diamond and interim champion and was the mandatory challenger.
Yet he was forced to accept just a slither of a slice of the tickets and PPV pie.
AJ, however, is looking at a significantly better purse than his old rival – despite being on a two-fight losing streak.

The Watford warrior’s undoubted status as a boxing superstar and his two-time reign as WBA, IBF and WBO king would smooth the path for him to get the fight.
Joshua would’ve faced an uphill battle to receive more than a 20 per cent cut of the purse had Team Fury not been so generous.
    The WBC rule books states:
Champions shall defend their titles, either in a voluntary or mandatory defense, against a challenger (each, a “Qualified Challenger”) in one of the following categories:
    (a) any of the top ten rated contenders; or
    (b) with the approval of or ratification by a majority of the Board of Governors,
    i. any boxer rated 11 to 15;
     ii. a champion or a highly-rated boxer of another weight division;

iii. another WBC champion, such as a WBC Diamond or Silver Champion,
    Champion Emeritus, or Champion in Recess;
     iv. a former world champion or other elite challenger;
     v. a champion of another boxing organization recognized by the WBC; or
     (c) under special circumstances and with the approval of or ratification by two-third
(2/3rd) of the Board of Governors, a contender not otherwise listed in one or more of the above categories.
3.4 Voluntary Defenses. In order to fulfill their requirement to defend the title regularly in a timely manner, champions shall propose voluntary defenses against Qualified Challengers as defined above.
No bout shall qualify as a voluntary defense other than as permitted by the WBC in accordance with these Rules & Regulations or any WBC rulings.
In terms of finances, the handbook goes on to outline how AJ is facing a fight to get a decent deal.
2.17 Division of Proceeds in a Purse Offer. The net purse shall be divided as follows:
    (a) 70% for the champion and 30% for the challenger in title bouts; and
    (b) 50% to each contender in the case of vacant titles or elimination bouts;

The WBC Board of Governors, may by a majority vote, authorize a modification of the division of purse offer proceeds between boxers in a purse offer in unusual or special cases, such as consideration of outstanding marketing value of one of the boxers, as the WBC shall determine in its sole discretion.
The modification of the split shall be limited to 60-40% and 55-45%, except in the most exceptional circumstances, in which the split may be modified to 50-50%.

Anthony Joshua will beat Tyson Fury in a rematch after first fight ends in a DRAW, predicted Bernard Hopkins

ANTHONY JOSHUA was tipped to beat Tyson Fury in a rematch with their first fight ending in a draw by Bernard Hopkins.Just like in the Gypsy King’s first go at Deontay Wilder in December 2018, Hopkins predicts the Brit will be subject to a controversial draw against Joshua.
Anthony Joshua has been tipped to beat Tyson Fury in a rematch with their first fight ending in a draw
Fury retired after knocking out Dillian Whyte at Wembley in April but is coming back
Fury and Joshua seemingly agreed a Battle of Britain showdown in December completely out of the blue this week.
Fury was expected to chase a bout with Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.
Usyk is the undefeated WBA, IBF and WBO champion after beating AJ in their rematch in Saudi Arabia, but wants to rest and spend time with family.
And Fury called out AJ on Monday, to which Joshua responded.
The mischievous Gypsy King teased AJ by posting on social media: “I’d like to give you an opportunity to fight for the WBC heavyweight championship of the world.”
And the Watford hero tweeted in reply:  “Yeah calm. I don’t do the online discussions just for clout, so if you’re really about it, shout.  I’ll be ready in December.”
Fury can cherry pick any of the WBC’s top 15 contenders. And he told Joshua: “You’re coming off a 12-round fight, so you’re match-fit.
“I’m giving you a few months’ notice. So, if you’re interested, I’ll send you the date over and we can rumble.

“A Battle of Britain for the WBC heavyweight championship of the world.
“Let me know if you’re interested. If not, I will select another opponent.”

Should Fury pit his wits against Joshua, boxing legend Hopkins has had his say on how he sees the dream blockbuster bout playing out.

Speaking to iFL TV in June 2020, the 57-year-old said: “It’ll be a draw and they’ll fight a second time and the second time Joshua would beat him.
“I’m going to go with this one. The first fight is going to be a draw, I’m telling you.
“The second fight Joshua wins, but the first fight will be a draw because it’s going to be hard to score and that’s when the controversy comes in with who got the rounds.
“People will have their own opinion on who will win the fight, but I’m telling you the first fight is going to be so close it’ll be a draw.
“The second fight will happen and Joshua is going to win.”
He added: “I figure [Joshua] makes the adjustments, figures him out and realise he’s got to go for the body instead of the head.
“And then he will fall. The head will hit the knees.”

Fury won the WBC crown off Deontay Wilder in devastating style, and went on to beat him again in their trilogy clash.
Now, Fury and AJ are set to square off in one of the biggest fights in British boxing history.
Speaking in an episode of Frank Warren’s Heavyweight Podcast last year, Hamed is of the opinion that it’ll be an easy nights work for the Gypsy King.
He said: “What he [Fury] has done has been phenomenal.
“I am looking forward to Tyson vs Joshua and I do believe that Tyson is too fast and too slick.
“I think that’s maybe an easier fight than the Wilder one – and the Wilder one was very easy.”

Fury is also confident of blasting away AJ as he previously labelled the 2012 Olympic gold medallist as a “big cuddly baby” who poses no threat to him.
He commented: “One hundred per cent Joshua’s not dangerous, at all, he’s like a big cuddly baby.
“Why would I be a believer in him when he got knocked spark out by Andy Ruiz?
“A last-minute replacement opponent, who turned up 300lbs or whatever, didn’t train, and Anthony Joshua couldn’t do any good with him in the rematch.
“He doesn’t have anything, he couldn’t hold a candle to the Gypsy King. “There’s only one heavyweight out there, there’s only one undefeated world champion.
“They’ve all fallen by the wayside. The fellow that hasn’t been beat has knocked them out.

    MIKE TYSON
Iron Mike has backed his namesake to prevail against AJ if the pair meet inside the ring.
Tyson told BBC Sport: “It’s very interesting, Joshua is a masterful puncher. But you can see his punches coming, he telegraphs his punches.
“And that’s just a recipe for disaster if you’re fighting Tyson Fury and you’re telegraphing your punches – to a guy whose 6ft 7in, come on.”
The Baddest Man on the Planet also left AJ off his list of his top five current boxers.

    FLOYD MAYWEATHER
Mayweather was credited for bringing the money to the smaller division – but he has a friendship with both Joshua and Fury.
He even revealed he speaks to AJ on the regular, but refrained from calling a winner.
Mayweather told entrepreneur Rob Moore: “It’s a very intriguing match-up, you can never say what’s going to happen in the sport of boxing.
“Both guys are great competitors. Like I say, me and Anthony Joshua talk on the regular, so I look forward to working with Joshua.”
    Prediction: Wouldn’t like to say
Floyd Mayweather admitted he does not care who wins between Fury or Joshua
    ANDY RUIZ JR
Ruiz Jr, who famously handed Joshua his first ever defeat, reckons AJ can get the better of Fury – but only if he adopts an aggressive approach to the blockbuster fight.
Mexico’s first heavyweight champion told The Daily Mail: “Fury has a really weird style.
“I feel if Joshua doesn’t box around – like he did to me – and goes forward, throws his combinations, I think Anthony will pull out the victory.”

    GEORGE FOREMAN
The former two-time world heavyweight champion sees no way in which AJ can prevail.
He told iFL TV: “That boy Tyson Fury, you’re going to have to bring everything you’ve got to beat him.
“I’m going to be honest with you – I just can’t see Joshua beating him.”
    Prediction: Fury
    DAVID HAYE
Haye, a former heavyweight champion, twice pulled out of fighting Fury and he had some words of warning for his old rival.
He told Sky Sports: “If Tyson Fury attacks Anthony Joshua in the same manner, in which he did in Vegas against Deontay Wilder, I don’t believe it works in his favour.
“I believe he’ll be too open, too wide and someone as fast, athletic, and as skilful as Anthony Joshua will be able to punch right through the middle and take him out, and take him out early.
    “I know it’s a controversial prediction.”
    Prediction: Joshua.

    DILLIAN WHYTE
Whyte was beaten by Joshua in 2015 and Fury back in April. His prediction reflects how he feels about the two.
He said on Behind The Gloves: “I have no idea who wins the fight, man.
    “I think it’s a 50/50 fight.
“It’s crazy, in heavyweight boxing there’s a lot of things going on.
“We’ll have to wait and see.”

    ROY JONES JR
The American four-division great – who amazingly won the heavyweight belt in 2003 – sat on the fence but did appear to suggest Fury is favourite.
Jones told iFL TV: “I’m not saying Fury is as good as Ali skill-wise but he has a mind like Ali. With a mind like that, he can be anybody.
“I think it was at a local show I saw him at and I said to him: ‘If you just give yourself to boxing for five years, you’ll be amazed and you’ll beat all these guys.’
“I love him to death. I’m so happy for him and proud of him that he was able to do it.
“I see him as the No1 and I think him against Joshua is a good fight.”
    Prediction: Fury… just about.
Roy Jones Jr believes Fury is the No1 heavyweight in the world
    TONY BELLEW
Only one winner for the Bomber.
He said: “The top three heavyweights today, if you’re going on what they’re actually doing, you can’t really knock Tyson Fury for what he’s doing since he’s come back.
“I understand why people have him No1.
“I have to put Fury No1, but I still think AJ beats him. Styles make fights, and I think AJ’s style is all wrong for Fury.”
    Prediction: Joshua
Tony Bellew has backed pal Joshua to defeat Fury
    AMIR KHAN
Fury’s dominant rematch win over Wilder in February 2020 has convinced Khan he has the edge over AJ.
Khan told Sky Sports: “If I was to pick someone, I do lean a little bit more towards Fury.
“I think Fury is the full complete fighter. He is a good boxer, he can fight, he’s the one who put Wilder down with the power.
“I never used to think he had that much power as a heavyweight and I think he proved it coming forward on the front foot.
“So I do favour him a little bit more.”

    BERNARD HOPKINS
Following lessons learned from AJ’s loss to Andy Ruiz Jr, Hopkins has not only backed him to win – but to knock out Fury and ‘make a serious statement’.
He told Sky Sports: “He redeemed himself. Now that is in his memory – what not to do ever again – Joshua beats Fury by knockout late.
“It will be an interesting, exciting five or six rounds at the beginning. Then Joshua’s athleticism, boxing IQ and experience would overwhelm Fury.
“Joshua would come out of a dust-storm based on his experience.
“At this point he has to make a really serious statement based on [the Ruiz defeat]. Redemption.”

    WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO
Klitschko, who lost to both men, spoke earlier this year about his prediction.
He told the National: “Joshua is a superior athlete, great fighter, Olympic champion.
“Most importantly, he’s a great guy, who carries the torch of this image of a heavyweight champion perfectly. I’m proud to call him as a friend, even though we were [rivals].
“And I think and I wish that eventually Joshua is going to unify all of the belts. That’s the eventual plan.”
    Prediction: Joshua
Wladimir Klitschko thinks Joshua will rule over the division
    CARL FROCH
Froch thinks Joshua could upset the bookies’ odds but gives Fury just as much chance of winning on points.
He told Sky Sports: “I think the only way that Anthony Joshua can win this fight is by stoppage.
“He can’t outbox Fury, who is too good at range. He throws punches from all angles and he’s so awkward.
“But Joshua is an Olympic gold medallist with strong fundamentals and he’s got combination punches with real aggression.
“If he produces the same finishing instinct that he’s shown in past fights, then he can beat Fury.
“AJ can get him out of there, I think he can, because you saw bursts of his aggression in the Kubrat Pulev fight.
“If AJ maintains that, there’s a chance he could stop him, but the problem is, if he doesn’t stop Fury then he’s going to lose on points.”

    JOHNNY NELSON
The former WBO cruiserweight champion believes Joshua has more in his arsenal than Fury.
He told talkSPORT.: “I’ve gone public in saying I think Anthony Joshua is the all-round better fighter.
“I think Tyson Fury is better tactically and the more technically equipped, but AJ is the all-rounder.
“He can fight, he can box, he’s an athlete. Tyson Fury is a boxer.
“I think both men are now at a stage where they’ve done so much and learned so much in their careers that they’re so neck and neck.
“But, I’d go with Anthony Joshua because he’s shown me a lot more variety in his arsenal.”

During an appearance on talkSPORT, he said: “I had a chat last night with George Warren from Queensberry [Promotions].
“I’d love to get really excited about this because I think it’s the fight I get stopped on the street for more than any fight that could be made.
“It’s a fight AJ has wanted for a long time.

But former WBC heavyweight champ Deontay Wilder scuppered the undisputed bout when he won his arbitration for a trilogy fight with Fury.
Joshua is currently planning to return to the ring following back-to-back losses to Oleksandr Usyk – the most recent of which took place in Saudi Arabia last month.
But he’ll happily gamble his career with a short-notice domestic dust-up with long-time rival Fury.
Hearn said: “It’s the fight he’s wanted for a long time.
“We had plans after the Usyk defeat to come back in December and then go again in March, get active and get the rhythm going again and then try fight for the world heavyweight title.

He said: “I said to George Warren last night, ‘Get the details over to us, get the offer over to us. I will take it to AJ, he’s ready to go.’
We didn’t expect this opportunity, but it’s a great opportunity to fight for the world heavyweight title in the biggest fight in boxing.
“And we will definitely look at it.”
Hearn has his reservations about Fury’s out-of-the-blue offer, saying: “The cynic in me, in boxing, this smells of, Oh, we couldn’t agree the AJ deal so I’m fighting this bloke you never heard of instead.’

“‘No one else was available, I tried to make the AJ fight’ etc, etc.
“But like I said, let’s take the cynic away and let’s see what we get back from the Fury camp because we’re ready to discuss it and we’re ready to look at that fight for sure.”

The pair verbally agreed a two-fight deal for last year in 2020 but their plans were scuppered when Deontay Wilder won an arbitration case to fight Fury again.
Since then Joshua has lost his WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO world titles to Oleksandr Usyk, and was beaten by the Ukrainian again in their rematch last month.
But with Usyk not planning to fight again this year, Fury is now eyeing a mega dust-up with Joshua instead of an undisputed bout.
And Joshua said he will “be ready in December” in response to Fury’s public call-out.

    AGE
AJ has the narrow advantage when it comes to age.
The Watford-born fighter is 32-years-old but turns 33 next month, making him just over a year younger than the 34-year-old Gypsy King.
    EXPERIENCE
Despite taking several years away from the ring due to mental health issues, Fury has more experience on the canvas.

The WBC champ has fought 33 times, and is yet to be beaten, with 23 of his 32 wins coming by way of knockout.
His controversial draw with Wilder back in 2018 is the only blemish on an otherwise flawless record.
AJ meanwhile has fought 27 times in total, losing his unbeaten status against Andy Ruiz Jr in 2019, and also being defeated twice by Usyk since then.
His 22 KO wins are one less than what Fury has managed.
    PHYSICAL
Fury is also much bigger than AJ – who will not have faced much larger challenges in his career.
The Gypsy King stands at a huge 6ft 9in, a full three inches taller than his rival.
And after tipping the scales at 18st 12lb for his victory over Dillian Whyte back in April, he weighs 1st 6lbs more than AJ, who came in at 17st 6lbs for his recent defeat to Usyk.
    WHAT THE EXPERTS HAVE SAID
Talk of a fight quietened recently with Joshua focusing on Usyk, and Fury claiming he was retired after he beat Whyte.
But before AJ’s first fight with the Ukrainian, plenty of experts weighed in with their opinion on who would win the all-British showdown.
Fury’s promoter Frank Warren: “Has AJ got a better jab than Fury? No. Is AJ a bigger puncher? I don’t think so.
“Has he got a better chin? I don’t think so. Has he got the hand speed or footwork of Fury? I don’t think so.
“Tyson is so good in every department. When you saw him get off the floor from that punch by [Deontay] Wilder it tells you what he’s all about.”
Amir Khan: “My opinion, and I’ve always said that Tyson Fury is the best heavyweight in the division. With the skill set he has got, he beats anyone with power.
“What he did to Deontay Wilder, no-one would expect that. If that same Fury goes into a fight with Anthony Joshua, it’s always going to be Fury that wins that.
Tony Bellew: “I just think AJ’s style will be all wrong for Fury. I believe that because Wilder has the bigger punch than AJ, but Wilder is not technically good enough to put Fury in a position to nail him and that’s why he couldn’t land on the night.
“Joshua is technically good enough, you’re talking about an Olympic gold medallist, a guy who is technically and fundamentally good.
“He does have speed, he’s a brilliant athlete, he functions the right way.
“I just feel that he would get to Fury. Don’t get me wrong, it would have to be within six rounds because anyone who goes past six rounds with someone like Fury, you’ve lost.

“The guy’s such an immense boxer, he can adapt in fights, he’s versatile and he’s just an amazing fighter.
“It’s a fight we all want to see and we have to see because if boxing’s going to remain one of the premier sports in the world, we need to see the best face the best.”
