Eddie Hearn fears Tyson Fury will fight Manuel Charr next despite Anthony Joshua fight talks ‘moving in right direction’

EDDIE HEARN fears Tyson Fury will face Manuel Charr next – despite Anthony Joshua fight talks “moving in the right direction”. AJ has had a contract to challenge for Fury’s WBC title on December 3 at Cardiff since last Friday.
Promoter Eddie Hearn, with Anthony Joshua, has cast doubt on the fight vs Fury happeningCredit: PA
But his promoter Hearn revealed some parts of the deal where “all over the place” leading to revisions and further negotiations.
Fury, 34, has been getting itchy knuckles which comes as Lebanese-born German Charr, 37, claims to be fighting the Gypsy King instead of AJ.
Hearn is now left with the “gut feeling” that Joshua, 32, will miss out on the Battle of Britain bout as a result.
He told iFL TV: “I think Tyson Fury’s fighting Manuel Charr, in all honesty. Like the more I think about it, the more I see stuff.

“We’ve all agreed to work hard on the contracts. Listen, we got the contract last Friday or Saturday and it was all over the place.
“Since then we’ve had talks as recently as yesterday getting it in the right place and just by his message, I dunno.
“I think they want us to run out of time a little bit and we’re not just going to sign a contract that isn’t in its correct format.”
Hearn added that the financial split – of 64/40 in Fury’s favour – is agreed but broadcasters are yet to come together.

A deal to share a joint pay-per-view between BT Sport and streaming service would need to be brokered.
Hearn has been leading talks with Frank Warren’s son George and revealed they have been on the right track.
He said: “We’re still moving forward hoping that fight gets done. Ourselves and Queensberry, it’s been good.
“They’ve done nothing wrong, we’ve done nothing wrong.
“We got a contract that we didn’t believe was in the right spirit of the deal and they almost accepted that and made changes.
“So, we’re moving in the right direction.”
Joshua was offered a shock fight with Fury despite twice losing to Oleksandr Usyk, 35, on the bounce.
But the Ukrainian ruled himself out of a unification until next year to rest and recover with loved ones having returned back to his war-torn home.

He said: “I dunno, maybe the hotel food is a bit too good! But I’m ready, I’m fit, I’m ready, I’m strong and my engine’s there.
“The sparring and everything has gone to plan so I except a great performance from myself and so does my team.”
The pair came together for the third and final time to trade words, with Joyce now ready to let his hands do the talking.

He added: “That’s enough, oh my God, I’m probably going to have to do another one in the ring, when he’s like looking across from the other corner.

Parker was 251lb for his last fight in December, a decision win over Derek Chisora, 38.

Roach told FightHype: “Tyson looked at him and left.
“He saw 30 seconds of him sparring and said, ‘Freddie, can we go down and see the pictures?’
“He knows that’s where the good pictures are. He wasn’t as interested as I was.”
But the social media sensation-turned boxer claimed Roach made the entire story up, having never trained at the coach’s famed gym before.

Paul, 25, said to talkSPORT: “First and foremost, I saw these things that Freddie Roach was saying – that I was like sparring at his gym.
“First of all, I’ve never even trained at Wild Card gym, Freddie is a f***ing idiot, he’s a hater.

“Mike Tyson has never watched me spar, Mike Tyson has never been in the gym at the same time as me sparring.
“I went to Wild Card like once to talk to somebody for a meeting and for my brother’s press conference there.
“But Mike Tyson wasn’t anywhere in the vicinity, so it’s just Freddie Roach spreading rumours. Especially because me and Mike are friends man.
“Mike wouldn’t do that, Mike wouldn’t be like, ‘Ah f*** this kid, let’s go and do something else.’
“Mike respects me and I respect Mike, but it would be dope to fight. I’m down. It could be fun.”

Tyson, 56, helped launch Paul’s boxing career with a spot on his undercard in 2020.
At the time, the social media sensation had won his professional boxing debut by beating online rival “AnEsonGib” in one round.
Tyson returned to the ring after 15 years out and drew with Roy Jones Jr, 53, in an exhibition bout.

Eddie Hearn slams Jake Paul for ‘idiotic’ claim Matchroom paid judge to fix Anthony Joshua fight

EDDIE HEARN slammed Jake Paul’s ‘idiotic’ allegation that Matchroom “paid money” to a judge scoring Anthony Joshua’s fight.American Glenn Feldman was one of three officials for AJ’s rematch loss over Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia in August.

Feldman scored the bout 115-113 in favour of Joshua despite the other two having Usyk winning, with the Ukrainian ultimately triumphing with a split-decision victory.
The same judge also had Katie Taylor surprisingly beating Paul-promoted champion Amanda Serrano 97-93 in their April undisputed title bout.
As a result, the YouTuber-turned boxer accused Hearn’s Matchroom stable of bribery, something the promoter vehemently denies.
He said: “What he said in terms of his allegations of corruption with Glen Feldman is totally unacceptable.

“We all have a laugh with Jake and he’s an average fighter but I’m telling you now, what he said is unacceptable and it will be dealt with because we take this sport, our values as a family seriously and we love the sport of boxing.
“So, for him to come out with idiotic comments without even thinking of what he said is extremely harmful to me and very disrespectful to us as a business and as a family.”
It comes after Paul told iFL TV: “Everyone who watched the fight [knows] it’s not a split decision.
“Usyk had a runaway victory, clearly won the fight. This judge, Glenn Feldman, gives it to Anthony Joshua.

“It’s like a repeated crime here. This type of s***, I’m going to call it out here in boxing because it’s bulls.
“Clearly, this guy is getting paid money by Matchroom Boxing.”
Hearn worked with Paul to promote the women’s super-fight between Taylor, 36, and Serrano, 33, at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
And the pair enjoyed a series of back-and-forth verbal spars in the lead up to the the historic title bout.
But Hearn said Paul’s allegations of corruption was one step too far and warned action will be taken.
He added: “Jake’s comments will be dealt with appropriately.
“I’m not prepared, as I would be on many occasions, to take what he is saying with a pinch of salt on this occasion because it’s bang out of order and totally disrespectful to the sport of boxing and to me and us.

“I take it extremely personally because they’re questioning our credentials, they are questioning our integrity and I won’t have it.

Hearn confirmed to Boxing Social that he will consider legal action if he does not receive an apology from Paul.

TYSON FURY hit out at Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk, labelling them “a pair of sausage s***houses”. Usyk, 35, beat Joshua, 32, on points for the second time in the space of 11 months in August out in Saudi Arabia.

But he ruled himself out of a unification title bout with Fury, 34, to rest and recover after returning to war-torn Ukraine for the first time.

Joshua was sent paperwork last Friday all while Usyk accused the unbeaten WBC champion of being “AFRAID” to fight him.

Mike Tyson once punched Frank Warren in a hotel room and left him with bloodied eye over unpaid £2m jewellery bill

FRANK WARREN has revealed how a £2million jewellery bill led to Mike Tyson PUNCHING him. While helping the American get this career back on track with a pair of UK-based fights at the turn of the century, Warren came into very close contact with Tyson.

Tyson developed a bad reputation for his actions outside of the ring
The promoter encountered ‘The Baddest Man On The Planet’ at the height of his infamy, with an unpaid jewellery bill coming back to haunt the fighter.
And Warren has opened up on the ‘pandemonium’ the ‘petulant’ Tyson caused when flooring him inside a Park Lane hotel.
Speaking on Andy Coulson’s Crisis What Crisis Podcast, the 70-year-old recalled: “First time he came over, no problems, he was great.
“And then he went into a jewellers and walked out with an invoice for, I can’t remember the exact amount, £1.5m, £2m something like that.”

He continued: “They never paid the bill and the jewellers, quite rightly, wanted to get paid and they kept ringing me.
“And I was ringing the States. They’re telling me, ‘Don’t worry, we’re going to do another fight here let’s pay it out of that’.
“When he came back the second time he was just awful. Beyond awful.
“He was petulant, aggressive, totally different scenario.”

Warren continued: “The bill hadn’t been paid still and he’d gone into the jewellers – because there was a girl in there that he had met and he was basically showing off to her.
“And to cut a long story short, he got p***ed about it.
“I get a call. Someone tells me, ‘Mike’s not happy’.
“I go up to the hotel. Next minute, you stand there talking and he’s taken a swing at me. He actually caught me. There’s a lot of commotion. I didn’t expect it.
“It was a cheap shot. I got up and it’s pandemonium, madness in the room.
“When I say it’s my fault, I should have known. I should have pulled out of that situation from the start.”
Warren, who released his ‘Frank And Fearless’ book detailing his 40-years in the sport in December 2019, insists he exacted revenge on the ‘bully’ Tyson.
Fortunately for the London-born promoter, the blow from one of boxing’s all-time hardest hitters left him with just a bloodied eye.
He added: “I was fuming. The lawyer at Showtime wanted to call the police, I told them not to.
“All the newspapers said my jaw was broken, ribs were broken, it was all b******s, nothing was broken. My eye had a burst blood vessel, that was it.
“I made sure that he paid for what he did, hit him where it hurt.
“And he went berserk after the fight, the police actually ran him out of town. After the fight he went straight to Gatwick and they left the country.”
Warren had the last laugh, helping to set the New York bruiser up for a memorable defeat to Danny Williams four years later.
He said: “Years later, they wanted to put a fight on against Kevin McBride, Irish guy, and they wanted to sell the rights to Sky.
“I told them to put him against Danny Williams, an English guy, and I could do a better deal.
“I said to [Danny], ‘For two or three rounds this will be World War Two. Get through it and you’ll knock him out’. And that’s what he did.”
Tyson is currently in training for his second comeback fight – following his draw with fellow veteran Roy Jones Jr.
Iron Mike is expected to take on Evander Holyfield – who beat him twice in their prime – with Lennox Lewis also interested. More

Tyson Fury told Dillian Whyte ‘You’re hurt aren’t ya?’ after catching him with brutal left hook in their Wembley fight

Fury found success throughout the fight with his left hook, before finishing things off with a devastating right uppercut.
And Fury revealed he had trained his check hook pre-fight in order to keep Whyte at bay, and recalled one blow in particular that caught The Body Snatcher right in the sweet spot.
Fury said in his post-fight press conference on BT Sport: “We practised and practised and practised, long range punching, using the jab off the shoulder.
“And I think everyone will agree with me here tonight, the shot that kept catching him was the check hook, I kept clopping him with that check hook.”

Fury then revealed he couldn’t help but whisper in Whyte’s ear after landing a particularly meaty left hook to his body.
