Tyson Fury claims he could fight TWICE in one night following Anthony Joshua snub – hours after saying bout was back ON

TYSON FURY has once again quashed any hope of an Anthony Joshua clash – insisting he will now fight twice on the same night instead. The Gypsy King claimed on Monday that a clash with AJ was dead in the water after his own self-imposed deadline was not met.

Joshua accepted a 60/40 split in Fury’s favour but the bout has not yet been signed
Fury then insisted he was planning to take on Mahmoud Charr on the proposed date of December 3 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.
Hopes of an all-British showdown were then reignited by Fury’s lengthy video on social media on Thursday in which he revealed talks with Joshua’s representatives were still very much alive and that AJ had 24 hours to sign the contract.
But after Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn insisted it was not possible to have it signed today, Fury once again called off talks and claimed he will take on Mahmoud Charr AND another boxer on the same night.
Speaking on Twitter, he said: “Just been doing a little bit of brainstorming. December 3rd is coming – Mahmoud Charr is agreed.

“Why don’t I fight two people on the same night? Mahmoud Charr and somebody else? That would be pretty damn awesome.
“I’d probably be the first WBC heavyweight champion to have two fights in one night and that is a guaranteed fact. What do you think? What are we saying?”
Fury also claimed Joshua had “ducked” the fight with him, just hours after releasing a lengthy video revealing negotiations were ongoing.
He said: “Right, Anthony Joshua, where do we start?
“So, the deadline was Monday. Frank Warren asked me and convinced me to let it carry on for a couple of days – and today’s Thursday.
“And even though I knew you weren’t going to sign this contract, I allowed Frank to continue doing meetings with your team and your broadcasters and all that.
“Now we have BT, DAZN and ESPN all on the same page. They are happy with everything. They are ready to rock and roll.
“You guys asked for a lot of stuff. You want to be co-promoters when you’re a voluntary challenger. Guess what? I said ‘give it them’.
“You wanted full transparency even though you’re not an equal shareholder in this party. Do you know what I said? ‘Give them full transparency’. I’ve got nothing to hide, I’m not trying to rob anybody.”

He continued: “So now you’ve got full transparency, everything is clean and fair.
“Now Joshua, the ball is really in your court, son. Everybody is done. If you’re a man, and if you’ve got any dignity or pride about you, you’ll get this contract signed today.
“This is it. There’s no more days, weeks, months. You’ve had the contract now for over two weeks and you still haven’t signed it.
“Show the public that you’re really the big coward that I know you are and don’t sign it. I don’t care either way if you sign it or you don’t – it makes no difference to me at all.
“You’re a beaten man and I’m a world champion. I’m chucking you a massive bone, but I know I can punch your face in so I’m willing to give you an opportunity.
“There’s nothing more to do. Everyone is happy. Get your team onto mine. They will be available all day like they’ve been available the last two weeks.
“Get this contract signed today, you big p**** and let the British fans have what they want.
“There’s no more running, you have to fight me. You cannot escape. The Fury is coming, b****.”
Following the video, Hearn responded by saying they still have two weeks to agree a December 3 fight.
He said: “At midnight on Wednesday I spoke to Frank’s son George Warren and it was positive again but then Tyson put out another video. It’s baffling.
“I think the fight can get made but everything has not been agreed, there have just been positive talks.
“We don’t need a massive promotional tour, the fight sells out in 10 seconds. We have two weeks to do this fight.”
Fury and Joshua have been linked with a fight for several years, but it has never materialised.

Anthony Joshua suggests boxing rule change with live scorecards to ‘create more competitive environment’

ANTHONY JOSHUA has suggested boxing could change its rules to introduce “live” scorecards. The 32-year-old has been outpointed by Oleksandr Usyk in his last two fights.

AJ said live scorecards could show how fights are playing out as they go on, meaning boxers know how many of the remaining rounds they need to win, or if they need to score a knockdown.
Knowing for a fact he was down on the cards could have encouraged Joshua to search harder for a knockout when he fought Usyk.
The judges scorecards currently remain a mystery until the fight winner is announced.
But AJ suggested knowing how the scores stood round-by-round would create a “very competitive environment” within the ring.

He wrote on Instagram: “In so many sports you know who’s winning as the game is progressing.
“In a sense it creates a very competitive environment.”
Joshua asked for people’s thoughts on introducing “visible” scorecards so the fight scenario is clear as the rounds progress.
He continued: “Should boxing introduce live (visible) scorecards so you know, what you need to know, in order to win.

“As there is so much boxing around the world, it can be introduced at any level in order to test it out. Thoughts?”
British boxing fans had been hoping for a mega heavyweight showdown between AJ and WBC champ Tyson Fury on December 3rd.
But the Gypsy King has now declared the fight dead in the water after claiming Joshua missed his Monday deadline to sign a contract.
Fury now looks set to face Manuel Charr instead, while AJ’s next opponent remains a mystery.

‘Maybe you can lend him your nuts’ – Tyson Fury cheekily responds to Oleksandr Usyk’s offer to train Anthony Joshua

TYSON FURY gave a cheeky response to Oleksandr Usyk’s offer of training with Anthony Joshua. Usyk twice beat AJ on points, most recently in Saudi Arabia in August, and offered to help Joshua bounce back.

It came after the Ukrainian ruled himself out of an undisputed title decider with Fury until next year.
The Gypsy King then turned his attention to Joshua and sent out a 60/40 contract in his favour to fight on December 3 in Cardiff.
But Fury claimed to have walked away from talks after accusing AJ of failing to sign before his Monday, September 26 deadline.
So he made a sly remark about his British rival when reacting to Usyk’s offer of training Joshua.

Joshua, 32, produced a bizarre post-fight rant after losing his rematch with Usyk, 35.
The pound-for-pound star failed in his approach to calm AJ down – but remains open to sharing the ring again in sparring.

He said: “I wanted to talk to him, I said, ‘Ease up, man, let’s just calm down. When I have time I could come to see you in the UK, come to your gym and we could spar together and stuff.'”
Fury, 34, claimed he was moving on to fight Manuel Charr, 37, after Joshua failed to return their contract in his allocated time.
That is despite DAZN and BT Sport this week meeting to attempt a joint pay-per-view deal.
And promoters Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren both voiced their hope in the fight being resurrected.
Hearn said: “There has been no talk of a deadline between the parties, but we are moving at pace to try and conclude the deal.”
Warren told talkSPORT on Monday: “We’re working very hard to get it over the line.
“If everyone agreed everything, it would be a huge undertaking, but we could do it that way.

Joyce told Sunsport: “The dream next fight would probably be [Oleksandr] Usyk, or [Tyson] Fury, or [Anthony] Joshua.
“There’s all the top names and they’re obviously great, exciting fights.
“I’m at the top of the division now in the elite level, so I will fight anyone.”

Joyce doesn’t believe a fight with unified heavyweight champ Usyk will come to fruition anytime soon, so he would love to come to blows with Joshua again.
The Putney Juggernaut previously lost to AJ when the pair clashed as amateurs.
He continued: “I don’t think Usyk’s going to fight me, he’s going to fight Fury first.
