But it ended in chaos after John Gotti III was disqualified and went after the boxing legend in an attack which sparked a mass brawl.
KSI was left less than impressed with Mayweather and predicted he would KO the famously elusive and unbeaten icon.
He said: “Honestly I think I’d knock him out.
“I honestly think I have a great chance at beating him. Mayweather, he’s a good fighter, I just think I’ll have the timing on him.

“Obviously in his prime I would have no chance.”
The clip soon went viral and fans were left unanimous in their disbelief.
One said: “Nothing wrong with YouTuber boxing, but to disrespect the arguably most skilled boxer in history like this is f*****g insane.”
Another added: “Floyd make your money these guys stand no chance.”

    One fumed: “Christ, so delusional.”
Another raged: “Nah he’s lost the plot.”
Mayweather, 46, walked away at an unmatched 50-0 following his victory over McGregor, 34, in their crossover blockbuster.
But he has continued to box in exhibitions since against stars of the MMA and celebrity world, including KSI’s brother Deji, 26.
KSI, 30, himself last fought in May but it was marred in controversy after an accidental but illegal elbow KO’d Joe Fournier, 40.
The social media sensation is now in talks to fight Tommy Fury, 24, who in February beat KSI’s rival Jake Paul, 26, by split-decision in Saudi Arabia.

Nate Diaz looked like he was ‘DYING’ in training for Jake Paul fight as sparring partner issues worrying warning

NATE DIAZ looked like he was “DYING” in training to fight Jake Paul – his sparring partner worryingly claimed. Diaz makes his professional boxing debut on August 5 in Texas against YouTuber-turned prizefighter Paul.

And in preparation for the pay-per-view bout he sparred with Robert Garcia-trained middleweight Esquiva Falcao.
But 30–0 Falcao – an Olympic and world champion amateur boxer from Brazil – was less than impressed by Diaz.
He said in a social media video: “At first I thought he was tired, and in the end it looked like he was dying.
“His fighting style is crazy. You look at him and say, ‘Oh, he’s tired,’ and then we started sparring.

“Robert told me in the second round, ‘He’s tired already, hold back a little bit and keep the rhythm so he does at least 10 rounds.’
“I held back and kept boxing, and we did 12 rounds. He was tired but taking punches and throwing, too.
“[He] is bad, [he] is bad, but since he’s too heavy – he’s overweight, probably around 220lbs or more – and I’m the only big guy in the gym, I had to do it. But I liked doing it.”
Diaz, 38, walked out on the UFC last year in pursuit of a lucrative switch to boxing.

And Paul, 26, snubbed a rematch with Tommy Fury, 24, to face the MMA veteran despite his loss in their celebrity grudge match.
The American has beaten three ex-UFC stars in the past, Ben Askren, 38, Tyron Woodley, 41, and Anderson Silva, 48.
And Paul is expecting to add Diaz to that list as he revealed his prediction for the bout.
He said: “I think he’s gonna be sharp for a couple of rounds but there’s nothing he can do to stop me.
“I’m faster, I’m stronger. I’m the better boxer. “He’s gonna be coming forward. He doesn’t have head movement.
“He’s trying to pressure me. He’s gonna get diced up. I see it ending in four rounds or less.”

But both have talked up the possibility of returning in interim bouts before the mega-money fight in the Middle East.
And according to Wilder’s trainer Malik Scott, former world champion Andy Ruiz Jr could be next.
Scott told ESNEWS: “That’s the buzz fight right now and it’s looking like that might be the route we end up going.
“Deontay is in the position where so many big fights are lined up that anything or any opponent can possibly change.

“Andy Ruiz is definitely one of the main options right now and we’ll see where it lands at.
“In my opinion I’d like to see it at the Crypto centre and I like Vegas.”
Wilder, 37, has not fought since knocking out Robert Helenius, 39, in round one of his October comeback bout.
A month earlier, Ruiz, 33, beat Luis Ortiz, 44, on points but he has not returned since.

Meanwhile Joshua, 33, outpointed Jermaine Franklin, 29, in April to set up the super-fight with Wilder.
It came following consecutive defeats to Oleksandr Usyk, 36, who Scott has also voiced an interest in Wilder facing.
He said: “We’ll see what happens, we’ve still got Anthony Joshua on the menu – all of them on the menu.
“Ruiz, Joshua, Usyk, and they all will get the same treatment. Big fights and exciting times.”

Tommy Fury vows to ‘END’ YouTube boxing in 12 months as he confirms talks for KSI fight and Jake Paul rematch

But the American, 26, opted to forgo a rematch to instead return on August 5 in Texas against ex-UFC star Nate Diaz, 38.
So Fury, 24, and KSI, 30, have decided to turn their attention to each other with talks ongoing for the two to fight.
Paul has claimed he will look to rematch his celebrity boxing rival next February, exactly one year on from his split-decision loss in Saudi Arabia.
So that falls right into Fury’s 12-month plan to KO the new school crossover boxing era which has divided opinions.

He told Sky Sports: “Everybody knows what’s next for me, it’s being teased at the minute.
“Hopefully we can get this KSI fight over the line and I’ll knock off another YouTuber.
“That’s my plan for this year. I want to end YouTube boxing within 12 months.
“So that’s my plan. So we’ll see. I don’t know. I just take it one fight at a time. All these guys are the same to me.

“There’s not one that stands out from the rest. They’re all about the same. So anyone can get it. I’m not bothered.
“I’m used to, growing up fighting against proper boxers. These guys are a bit of a joke.”
KSI was last in the ring in May in what turned out to be a no-contest after an accidental but illegal elbow knocked out Joe Fournier, 40.
He went face to face with Fury afterwards and both camps have confirmed that a deal is imminent.
Fury said: “I’ve said my hitlist. Jake Paul’s already been struck off, KSI is next.
“Then from what I’ve seen the other day Jake Paul wants it again in February. Listen, I’m happy. I’m happy keep these fights rolling in.”

Anthony Joshua’s rematch with Dillian Whyte in DOUBT after rival rejected ‘unacceptable’ offer with new targets eyed

ANTHONY JOSHUA and Dillian Whyte’s rematch faces the KO amid financial restraints. Promoter Eddie Hearn wanted to renew the British heavyweight rivalry on August 12.

But Hearn is also in the process of finalising a deal for Joshua to fight Deontay Wilder in December in Saudi Arabia.
And he has conceded that coming to terms with Whyte first is becoming increasingly unlikely with backup options already in place.
Hearn told iFL TV on Thursday: “We’ve made an offer, they felt that offer was unacceptable.
“We may be too far out on the money to make that fight. We’re looking at two other opponents for August 12.

“It’s not that it has to be Dillian – that’s the fight AJ wanted.
“But if we’ve got the Deontay Wilder fight done, we can fight someone else from the top 15 on August 12.
“But if we can’t get the Wilder fight done, then we need a much bigger fight on August 12 or we look at Tyson Fury in September.
“I believe we’re gonna get that fight made with Wilder.”

Hearn previously revealed he had booked the O2 Arena for Joshua, 33, to rematch Whyte, 35, the man he beat in 2015.
But that would bring in far less money than a Wembley Stadium showdown, which was once touted for the rivals.
So Hearn has admitted neither Joshua or Whyte are likely to receive their desired sums, despite both wanting to run it back.
He said: “The issue is the money Dillian wants, the money AJ wants.
“I don’t think we can get to the number Dillian wants for that fight in all honesty.
“I think Dillian wants the fight, I think AJ wants the fight, but we may well run out of time.”

Saudi boxing boss to offer ‘premium price’ for Anthony Joshua to fight Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk

And they are not stopping there with Tyson Fury lined up for an undisputed title decider against Oleksandr Usyk.
Amer Abdallah – head of boxing for Skill Challenge Entertainment – warned they are fully financed to make the doubleheader a reality.
He told The Express: “Tyson wants the fight, from what I understand. I know George [Warren] wants the fight and Frank [Warren] wants the fight at Queensberry.
“Usyk definitely wants the fight. AJ wants the fight. Eddie [Hearn] wants the fight. Shelly [Finkel] wants the fight.

“Deontay wants the fight. I mean, there’s nothing that should prevent this from happening.
“And, the offer that will be made from Skill Challenge will be a very good offer. It won’t be one that we’re going to go back and forth with.
“It’s going to be a premium price, and we’re going to offer it to these guys and pay them their market value, if not, maybe even a little bit more.
“We’re going to put on great fights and a great event. If anything prevents this fight from happening it’s because certain individuals don’t want the fight to happen, it won’t be because the money isn’t there.”

Usyk, 36, and Fury, 34, earlier in the year failed in talks for the division’s first ever four-belt unification bout.
Fury is still left to find an opponent to return against while Usyk is mandated to fight Daniel Dubois, 25.
Meanwhile Joshua, 33, is similarly on the scout for a summer opponent but talks to rematch Dillian Whyte, 35, have hit a snag.
And Wilder, 37, has also opened the door to returning in the interim as negotiations with AJ continue.

Francis Ngannou ready to end Tyson Fury’s search for an opponent and fight Gypsy King NEXT after revealing talks

FRANCIS NGANNOU is ready to end Tyson Fury’s search for an opponent and fight him NEXT. The WBC heavyweight champion has been left in the lurch after talks to unify the division against Oleksandr Usyk collapsed earlier in the year.

And Fury has found no luck in his pursuit of finding a fill-in fight before revisiting talks with Usyk.
So Ngannou urged the Gypsy King to put his money where his mouth is to end their years of online feuding.
He said: “Of course, it’s been like three years that we’ve been going back and forth on socials. Yes, I would be very happy to take that fight.
“It’s always what I wanted. But apparently Tyson Fury is pretty good at bouncing here and there, I don’t know exactly.

“But I’m here and I want that fight. So whenever he really want it, I’m here.”
Ngannou, 36, is free to make a move to boxing after leaving the UFC, who contractually prohibited the switching of sports.
The Cameroonian has instead signed with rivals The Professional Fighters League, where he is set to make his MMA return in 2024.
But first Ngannou is eyeing a mega-money boxing bout and was in discussions to face Deontay Wilder.

Although those negotiations were put on hold when Wilder, 37, entered advanced talks to fight Anthony Joshua, 33, in Saudi Arabia.
So Ngannou is looking back in Fury’s attention after the unbeaten boxer claimed he wanted a mixed-rules bout.
The former UFC champ confirmed talks to fight the boxing star but admits he is struggling to keep up with Fury’s social media antics.
Ngannou said: “I have seen a lot of comment from Tyson Fury, at this point I’m a little confused.
“I don’t know if he enjoys doing comments or enjoys fighting at this point. As I said, I’m here and I’m ready.
“My team has been working on getting in touch with him and his team, which we’re not there yet. But yes, we’re in the conversation.”

But it’s hard to see what he would have learned after 10 one-sided rounds the referee called a shutout of 100-90.
The straight talking Burton boxer said: “I think I started off well but I faded because it is extremely hot.
“I did lots right but also lots wrong, I need to do better.
“People can call me an Olympian but those 10-round pro fights are a very different thing.

“People will be saying that Wardley will flatten me now because I tire after six rounds so bring it on.”
Clarke scored with a triple jab in the opener and whipped a right hook into Wach’s tattooed torso.
Wach scored back with a right hand and, with almost 21st behind the punch, Clarke did well to shrug it off.
A meaty second-round right hand from the Brit sent Wach’s sweat spraying into the thin audience.

Both behemoths landed right hands in the third and shook them off without a wobble.
The rutting stags enjoyed a bit of argy-bargy on the bell, bouncing bellies and refusing to give way on the routes back to their corner.
The mid rounds produced utterly nothing worth writing down, let alone reading about.
York Hall emptied rapidly as the bout entered the eighth round and the people started to claim that without an early exit they would be late for the 24hr tube service.
Clarke did land a string of right hands in the second half of the bout but it’s worrying they didn’t put a dent in the top-knotted journeyman who had lost eight of his previous 14. More
