Premier League clubs will NOT be able to afford Haaland and Mbappe transfer fees without Euro Super League, claims Perez

PREMIER LEAGUE clubs have no chance of signing Kylian Mbappe or Erling Haaland without money from the doomed European Super League. That is the view of deluded Real Madrid president Florentino Perez who is still desperately clinging to the remains of the money-grabbing scheme despite all six English clubs bailing on it already.

Both Manchester United and Chelsea have been linked with Borussia Dortmund ace Haaland.
His agent, the controversial Mino Raiola, even embarked on a world tour to meet prospective clubs interested in the free-scoring sensation.
And Mbappe has been linked with a Paris Saint-Germain exit too.
The France international’s current contract with the Ligue 1 champions expires next summer and talks over a new deal have yet to bear fruit.

    MORE ON SUPER LEAGUE OUTRAGE

Manchester City have been mentioned as a potential destination with the club looking to replace legend Sergio Aguero at the end of the season.
But Perez – whose interviews have taken on a distinctively ‘in denial’ feel since the Super League all-but collapsed – reckons no Prem side will have the cash to afford the stars.
He told El Larguero: “In general, there will not be big transfers this summer.
“When money does not flow from the rich clubs to the poor clubs, everyone suffers. It’s impossible to make signings like Mbappé and Haaland, in general, not just for Real Madrid, without the Super League.”

The desperate Spaniard also claimed fan protests against the Super League at many grounds – including Chelsea’s – were staged.
Despite his attempt to scaremonger the Prem clubs into re-joining with the Haaland/ Mbappe rhetoric, Real are in serious financial trouble of their own.
They are said to be close to £1billion in debt and would also likely struggle to cough up the cash for the pair.
And Perez also said Los Blancos would NOT be re-signing Cristiano Ronaldo.
He refused to confirm they would be extending club legend Sergio Ramos’ contract too – because he would not accept a pay cut.

Barcelona return for Depay but offer Lyon star HALF original pay packet despite transfer interest from three Euro giants

BARCELONA have reportedly cut their salary offer for Memphis Depay by HALF amid the club’s economic turmoil. The upcoming contract negotiations with Lionel Messi will coincide with attempts to reinforce Ronald Koeman’s squad on the cheap.
Memphis Depay is set to become a free agent in the summerCredit: AFP
The Dutch coach has wanted to sign compatriot Depay, 27, for almost a year but will have to wait until he leaves Lyon as a free agent in the summer.
According to Spanish outlet Onze TV3, talks are underway with both Koeman and the player intent on reuniting at the Camp Nou.
However, as reported by Mundo Deportivo, the winger is not being offered the same terms as in previous talks.
Barcelona are said to have sat down with Depay’s camp in October in the hope of a January window switch to replace Ousmane Dembele.
French winger Dembele stayed put and therefore, given the club’s tight financial picture, their pay packet offer to Depay has reportedly been halved.
The former Manchester United flop’s desire to sign for the Catalans will be tested amid talk of rival interest.
Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Inter Milan are all described as keen on a move and would offer a bigger wage.
Depay has rebuilt his career in Lyon having left Old Trafford in 2017.

The club are battling to qualify for the Champions League and are a point off third-placed Monaco, who they face tonight in the Coupe de France.
Barcelona are also linked with the free agent captures of Georginio Wijnaldum and Eric Garcia in the summer.
But, like Depay, Manchester City defender Garcia is said to have been offered a lower salary than discussed earlier in the season.

European Super League dealt huge blow as PSG join Bayern Munich in refusing to enter breakaway competition

BAYERN MUNICH and Paris Saint-Germain have turned down the opportunity to join the European Super League. The duo were the two most notable absentees, when 12 of Europe’s biggest clubs enraged supporters, players, managers and pundits alike by announcing the formation of a new European Super League.
Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has confirmed that Bayern will NOT take part in the ESLCredit: AP

And while both have been invited, neither appear likely to join up any time soon.
Bayern, who are partially fan-owned, have instead backed Uefa’s proposed reforms to the Champions League.
Club CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: “FC Bayern did not participate in the planning of a Super League.
“We are convinced that the current structure in football guarantees a reliable foundation.
“FC Bayern welcomes the reforms of the Champions League because we believe that they are the right step for the development of European football.
“The modified preliminary round will contribute to more excitement and emotion in the competition.
“I do not believe the Super League will solve the financial problems of European clubs that were caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

“Rather, all clubs in Europe should work in solidarity to ensure that the cost structure, especially players’ salaries and agents’ fees, are brought in line with revenues in order to make all of European football more rational.”
PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi, who was today re-elected to the Uefa Executive Committee as representative of the European Club Association, echoed Bayern’s stance.
He said: “Paris Saint-Germain has the firm conviction that football is a sport for all. I have been constant on this point from the very beginning.
“It must be remembered that as a football club, we are a family and a community, whose heart is our supporters, we must remember that.
“There is a clear need to change Uefa’s existing competition model, and the proposal presented yesterday by Uefa, which concludes 24 months of in-depth consultation of the entire European football landscape, is a step in this direction.
“We believe that any proposal without the support of Uefa – an organization which has strived to advance the interests of European football for almost 70 years – does not solve the problems the football community is currently facing, but is otherwise motivated by personal interests.
“Paris Saint-Germain will continue to work with Uefa, the European Club Association and all stakeholders in European football on the basis of the principles of good faith, dignity and respect for each”.
Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig have also confirmed their disdain for the new European Super League, all-but confirming that there will be no German participation.
PSG are quite happy with their current situation, with Champions League qualification each season virtually locked in due to the financial disparity between themselves and the rest of Ligue 1.
And while determined to dine at Europe’s top table, club president Al-Khelaifi has a very strong relationship with Fifa and Uefa – and with Ceferin in particular.
The club’s owners, the Qatar Sports Investments group, also hold rights to broadcast Champions League football on BeINSports.
And Qatar itself is to host the World Cup next year, making conflict with either Uefa or Fifa counter productive.

These developments mean that, as it stands, the ESL would be without Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, Erling Haaland and Robert Lewandowski – four of the world’s most popular and brand-friendly footballers on the planet – undermining their product as a whole.
The ESL’s formation has been met by anger and derision from all quarters, with Prime Minister Boris Johnson having written in The Sun that he will do whatever he can to stop it.
Prince William has also spoken of the ‘damage’ it will do to the game, while Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville launched a rallying cry to fans on Monday Night Football, attempting to mobilise disgruntled supporters into action.
The likes of James Milner and Ander Herrera have spoken up against the hideous plans – while Jurgen Klopp was also less than impressed – having admitted his unease with the idea of an ESL two years ago.

Arsenal ‘approve Hector Bellerin transfer’ with PSG ‘best placed’ to sign £22m defender ahead of Barcelona

HECTOR BELLERIN is edging towards a summer move to Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports.Arsenal are said to be ready to accept a fee of £22million despite the Spaniard being under contract until 2023.

A huge overhaul of Mikel Arteta’s playing squad begun last year and could see the club cashing in on Bellerin.
The right-back arrived as an academy starlet from Barcelona in 2011 and has gone on to make almost 250 appearances for the Gunners.
But, according to Spanish publication Sport, he is ready for a new challenge.
And Arsenal are described as willing to sell Bellerin, 26, if negotiations with PSG are successful.
Les Parisiens have reportedly enquired about the defender to his agent with the hope of reducing the £22m asking price.
The right-back spot has been identified as an area of improvement for Les Parisiens.
Roma loanee Alessandro Florenzi and Colin Dagba have been rotated in the position this season, although PSG are set to sign the Italian on a permanent basis for £8m.
Barcelona have long been rumoured to be interested in their former player but are well-stocked in that department with Sergino Dest and Sergi Roberto.

Meanwhile, Arsenal will be able to fall back on Calum Chambers and Cedric Soares if Bellerin leaves.
Chambers has made a strong comeback from a long-term knee injury to appear in four of the last six Premier League games.
Arteta is thought to be prioritising recruiting a left-back in the coming summer, to provide an alternative to Kieran Tierney.

But Poch has vowed to ‘fight’ tooth and nail to tie the prolific striker – who has scored 123 goals in 164 appearances for the club – down to a new deal.
The Argentine said: “The objective is to keep the best players.
“The club wants to win the Champions League and the objective of this club is to keep Neymar and Kylian for many years.
“For three months we have had a very good relationship. Both players are very committed to the club.
“Every team wants to have them in their ranks. I am optimistic that they will stay.
“After sharing a changing room with Kylian for three months, I will fight with all my might to keep him with us.”

PSG will reportedly swoop for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho should Mbappe – a long term target of Spanish giants Real Madrid – opt against penning a new deal at the Parc des Princes.
Pochettino, however, is confident the 22-year-old will ink a new deal with the French champions.
The former Spurs boss recently said of the speculation surrounding Mbappe’s future: “It’s something we are used to.
“When we talk about top clubs and top players like Kylian Mbappe who is at international level, there will always be rumours.
“The most important thing is that Kylian is quiet.

“Kylian is very mature, despite his age.
“Both club and player are trying to come to an agreement that will see Kylian stay with us for a long time.
“It’s the desire of the club and we are working on everything.
“You cannot control what happens outside. Does it have any effect on the players’ performance or the atmosphere of the team? Zero, no consequences.”

Arsenal and Man Utd in Eduardo Camavinga transfer fight as Rennes midfielder, 18, ‘refuses to sign new contract’

ARSENAL are reportedly in the transfer battle to sign Eduardo Camavinga after he refused to sign a new contract at Rennes. But the Gunners face strong competition from Manchester United and Real Madrid for the defensive midfielder.
Arsenal are plotting to go up against Manchester United and Real Madrid for Eduardo Camavinga this summerCredit: Rex
Reports earlier this week stated the 18-year-old would not put pen to paper on a new deal with the Ligue 1 side.
With his current contract expiring in 2022, that means Rennes may be forced into selling their young star or risk losing him for free next year.
And according to Marca, Arsenal may try their luck to lure the Frenchman to the Emirates – even if, like Rennes, they cannot offer Champions League football next season.
A lack of European football of any kind at Rennes plus suggestions they would try and add a release clause into a new contract is thought to be putting Camavinga off committing his future to the club and pricing himself out of a dream move.
He signed with Gareth Bale’s agent Jonathan Barnett at the end of last year, possibly in anticipation of a mega move.
And with plenty of links in England and Spain, there will be no shortage of interest in the Frenchman.
Barnett told The Athletic: “Camavinga can play next year in the Premier League. He is that good. Whether he will or not, I don’t know.
“His background is tough if you know what he went through as a refugee. But his character is amazingly strong.

“He is not your average 18-year-old. Playing in front of 100,000 people is not going to scare him.
“He’s a lovely boy and I think he’s going to be a superstar.”
Speaking about where his new client could end up, Barnett suggested LaLiga is the most likely destination.
He added: “Eduardo will have a choice of a lot of clubs if Rennes decide to release him.
“Madrid are a great club, a great club to play for.
“They will be one of the four of five clubs in the world he might go to. Eduardo would love to play for a top club.
“Madrid are one of those top clubs in the world, so are Barcelona.”
Camavinga has 77 first-team club appearances under his belt already – including four impressive displays in this season’s Champions League.

The Angola-born midfielder netted a stunning overhead kick on his international full senior debut for the world champions last October to become the youngest scorer for France in 106 years.
As well as Real, Arsenal and United, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are among the teams tracking him.
Rumours in recent months have quoted a £45million transfer fee – the kind of money Rennes would surely find impossible to turn down.
However, the Red Devils want to avoid any long-strung transfer sagas.
Their pursuit of Jadon Sancho last summer ultimately failed and they do not want a repeat if they go back in for the England winger, his Borussia Dortmund team-mate Erling Haaland or Camavinga.

Man Utd join Chelsea in Joachim Andersen transfer hunt with Lyon defender impressing on season-long loan at Fulham

MANCHESTER UNITED have joined the race for Fulham’s on-loan Lyon defender Joachim Andersen, according to reports. The Dane moved to Craven Cottage last summer, after finding opportunities limited with the French side.

Despite Fulham’s struggles, he has hit the ground running in West London, earning the captain’s armband in just his fourth Premier League appearance.
And his quick progress has not gone unnoticed by potential suitors.
Danish outlet BT claim that the Red Devils have more than just a passing interest in the 24-year-old.
And they are not the only ones.
London rivals Tottenham and Chelsea also have the imposing 6ft 4in stopper on their radar.
While Leicester and Crystal Palace are also fans of the player.
If Fulham stay up, however, he could opt to stay for next season.
Andersen is understood to have a close relationship with boss Scott Parker.

But staying for a campaign in the Championship would seemingly be out of the question.
The four-cap defender will still have three years remaining on his contract at parent club Lyon.
But with the Ligue 1 title hopefuls having just renewed Jason Denayer and Marcelo, he isn’t thought to have a future at Groupama Stadium.
Spurs may have stolen a march on their rivals for Andersen, with BT also claiming that his representatives are set to meet with the North Londoners next week.
But it is believed that they will have to pay around £25million for his services.

Furious Phil Foden deletes unauthorised tweet ‘calling out’ PSG star Kylian Mbappe after Man City win at Dortmund

PHIL FODEN was forced to delete a tweet about Kylian Mbappe after Man City set up a Champions League semi-final against PSG.A tweet from the City rising star’s account appeared to throw down the gauntlet to French striker Mbappe.

The tweet said ‘@KMbappe’ are you ready’ and was posted minutes after Pep Guardiola’s men beat Dortmund on Wednesday night.
According to Daily Mail, the tweet from Foden’s account was posted without his permission and he was left furious.
The report added that Foden quickly asked for the tweet to be deleted.
Foden scored the winner as Man City came from behind to beat Dortmund 2-1 on the night to seal a 4-2 aggregate win.
Man City will face PSG in a mouth-watering semi-final showdown after the French side knocked out holders Bayern Munich.
And striker Mbappe is likely to pose the biggest threat to Guardiola’s side in their bid to win an elusive Champions League.
Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville recently said it was ‘a shame’ that players didn’t control their own social media.
The Sky Sports pundit spoke after several players posted near identical tweets following England’s victory over Albania last month.

The former Three Lions defender, who won 85 caps, said: “Reading some of the England players tweets last night. Do any of the lads post themselves? They don’t sound authentic.
“It’s a real shame they don’t manage their personal connection to the fans and media.”
And this morning he tweeted: “I mentioned on here a few weeks ago about players having their accounts run by social media companies.
