His current deal runs out in a year and Telefoot state he is stalling over a renewal with Real Madrid seriously considering a swoop in what would be a mega-money deal.
And it is understood PSG believe Salah would be a suitable replacement.
The Egyptian forward, 28, is thought to be unsettled at Liverpool and open to a move away.
Chelsea have been linked in recent days while Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid were previously tipped to make approaches.
Salah arrived at Anfield from Roma for £34million in 2017 and has been in red-hot form since with 123 goals in 199 appearances.
In that time, he is a Premier League, Champions League, Club World Cup and Uefa Super Cup winner – and now closing in on his third Golden Boot in England.
His current contract expires in 2023 but he confessed there have been no discussions about an extension.
He told Sky Sports: “No one is talking to me about that, so I can’t say much about that.
“No one in the club is talking to me about anything so I do not know.”

Mbappe, meanwhile, continues to contemplate his future.
The 22-year-old – estimated to be the world’s most valuable footballer – boasts an impressive record of 106 goals in 123 games since joining PSG from Monaco, including 37 in 43 this term.
Boss Mauricio Pochettino vowed to ‘fight’ tooth and nail to tie the prolific striker down to a new deal.
The Argentine said: “The objective is to keep the best players.

“The club wants to win the Champions League and the objective of this club is to keep Neymar and Kylian for many years.
“For three months we have had a very good relationship. Both players are very committed to the club.
“Every team wants to have them in their ranks. I am optimistic that they will stay.
“After sharing a changing room with Kylian for three months, I will fight with all my might to keep him with us.”
Mbappe’s team-mate Neymar signed a new deal with the club on Saturday with his £500,000-a-week deal keeping him in Paris until 2025.

PSG confirm superstar Neymar has signed bumper new £500k-a-week contract until 2025 to end transfer speculation

NEYMAR has signed a new £500,000-a-week contract at Paris Saint-Germain.The new deal ties the Brazilian superstar down at the Parc des Princes until 2025.

His four-year contract is worth £104million – or £26m per season.
And it puts an end to speculation surrounding a possible transfer this summer.
There was talk Neymar may try and force an exit with a stunning return to Barcelona on the cards, four years after his world-record transfer from the Nou Camp.
The £198m move means he is still the world’s most expensive footballer.
His original contract signed in 2017 lasted until 2022 – but PSG were understandably keen to secure his future beyond that.
In 2019, he declared he wanted to quit the Ligue 1 giants as reports linked him with Barca again.
But speaking in his first press conference for two years last week, Neymar insisted he is ‘really happy’ in the French capital.

The new deal is worth £104m and keeps him at the Parc des Princes until 2025

He said: “I have got time left on my contract here at PSG. We want to do what is best for everyone.
“I have already said that I am happy here and I feel much better than in the previous seasons.
“There are some aspects that I have improved here. I also went through difficult times with things that people know about.
“I have always worked hard and have always been professional, contrary to what some people believe.
“PSG have grown a lot, the club is more respected. When people talk about PSG, they know that we are in the last four, five or six teams in the Champions League.”
It is thought Neymar’s new contract also has a bumper bonus should PSG win the Champions League.

After picking up one winner’s medal at Barcelona in 2015, he was brought to Paris to try and help fire them to European glory to add to their domestic dominance.
But so far, he has been unable to do that – losing last year’s final and falling at the semi-final stage this term.
The ex-Santos hero has missed five knockout matches since his arrival and managed just two goals in the ten games he has featured in.
He has endured his fair share of injuries limiting him to 112 PSG appearances but his impressive goal return stands at 85 with seven domestic trophies including two trebles.
Neymar’s team-mate Kylian Mbappe also has a year left on his deal and the club are hoping to convince him to sign an extension too.

Neymar’s dad ‘agrees five-year PSG deal on same terms as previous contract but Brazilian waits on Barcelona transfer’

NEYMAR’s father has successfully negotiated a new five-year deal at Paris Saint-Germain.But the player himself wants to wait until he’s seen Barcelona’s new proposal before signing.

Neymar, 29, has just over a year remaining on his current deal in the French capital, but has been expected to pen a new one for some time.
Barcelona re-entering the race to sign him, however, has thrown a spanner in the works.
Neymar’s dad has agreed a five-year contract with PSG, on the same terms as his current deal.
And the Parisians previously expected that to be enough to put the saga to bed.
But Neymar, who yearned for a return to Barcelona during the summer of 2019, has reportedly had his head turned by Joan Laporta’s ambitious plans to bring up back to Calatonia.
According to Sport, PSG’s No10 has ‘delayed’ signing a new deal as long as possible – because he wants to hear a ‘structured proposal’ from Barcelona.
Laporta, 58, hopes to bring Neymar back this summer, in order to show Lionel Messi that he is serious about positioning the club to win the Champions League again.

He subsequently left Barcelona in a controversial world-record deal back in 2017, with two clear objectives in mind.
Neymar wanted to bring the Champions League trophy to Paris, and he was determined to be crowned best player in the world.
But, having achieved neither, he is tempted to return to Barca, and rekindle his fantastic relationship on the pitch with Messi.
Neymar could yet still achieve one of his PSG goals this season, however, although their Champions League hopes are hanging by a thread.
The superstar is currently in Manchester alongside his team-mates, ready to take on City in their semi-final second-leg at Etihad Stadium tonight.

Should PSG manage to overturn their 2-1 deficit and reach the final, any mention of a move to Barcelona will be shelved by Neymar’s camp until after the showpiece event.
But should Mauricio Pochettino’s side bow out, PSG chiefs face a nervous few weeks as the transfer window approaches.
In 2019, Barcelona were willing to offer Neymar the same salary that he had earned during his previous stint with the club.
But the attacker would now require a higher wage – something that Barca could struggle to provide.
Laporta has therefore reportedly drawn up a further six-man shortlist of targets – including Sergio Aguero, Erling Haaland and Georginio Wijnaldum.

PSG chief appears less confident about Neymar signing new contract after ‘Barcelona make contact over transfer return’

PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN sporting director Leonardo appears less than confident of agreeing a new contract with Neymar. The Brazilian will have just one year remaining on his current deal come the end of the season.

Neymar, 29, appears happy at the club, having said as much prior to PSG’s 2-1 Champions League semi-final first-leg defeat to Manchester City last week.
But amid reports of Barcelona rekindling their long-term interest in bringing him back, Neymar’s desire to return to Catalonia has reportedly returned.
Quizzed about PSG’s No10’s future over the weekend, Leonardo merely said: “You have to see everything calmly.”
This represents a change in the noise coming out of both parties, with Neymar himself having previously told RMC Sport that things were close to completion.
He said last week: “My extension? Everything is almost settled.
“You know, we’re in discussions with PSG… We’re not in a hurry. I feel comfortable.
    “I feel really happy here.”
Since leaving Barcelona for around £200million back in 2017, Neymar has been heavily linked with a return virtually every summer.

As yet, the cash-strapped LaLiga side have been unable to put together a satisfactory package.
But new president Joan Laporta wants to get the deal done – and is believed to be prioritising it even over his pursuit of Borussia Dortmund hotshot Erling Haaland.
Spanish news outlet RAC1 claim that Neymar is ‘desperate’ to return – and that he would even be willing to potentially take a pay cut, given the crippling £1bn debt Barcelona find themselves in.
