Watch Man Utd star Paul Pogba brutally shut down PSG transfer talk after France team-mates joke about summer switch

PAUL POGBA made very clear that he was not in talks with Paris Saint-Germain in a hilarious exchange with two of his France team-mates.The Manchester United midfielder gatecrashed Kingsley Coman and Presnel Kimpembe’s press conference during Les Bleus’ Euro 2020 camp.
Paul Pogba cracked a joke with Kingsley Coman and Presnel Kimpembe
The Manchester United star dropped a brutal response to transfer rumours
Popping up from behind the pair, he interrupted their Infosport chat to, quite simply, have a bit of a catch up.
PSG defender Kimpembe and Coman, a former winger for the Ligue 1 club, laughed as he emerged and Pogba asked about the topic of conversation.
With Paris on the agenda, the 28-year-old confirmed that he is from the city having grown up in the suburb of Lagny-sur-Marne.
Fellow Parisians Coman and Kimpembe gently probed their international colleague over a potential return home.
Pogba quickly cottoned on and when asked by Coman if there had been any ‘contact’ over a transfer, he quickly shot back: “Huh? No.”
Kimpembe burst out laughing as his pal exited stage right, adding an extra comment off camera.

After five years at Manchester United, Pogba’s contract expires next summer and the club are reportedly concerned about losing him on a free.
According to ESPN, PSG are among the clubs who would be interested in signing him if he were to become available.
There is said to be little expectation that a serious bid will land for his services this summer.
But United want to agree a new deal with Pogba and may be forced to cash in if there is little prospect of that happening.

How PSG could line up next season with Cristiano Ronaldo, Wijnaldum and Donnarumma after savvy free transfers

PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN are set to refresh their squad this summer as Mauricio Pochettino attempts to compete at home and in Europe next season. The French giants endured a difficult campaign last time out, getting off to a nightmare start after a shortened off season and struggling to recover.

They missed out on the Ligue 1 title for just the second time since 2012, but will be raring to go next time out – especially after securing canny new signings like Georginio Wijnaldum.
Pochettino, 49, arrived mid-season – with his side only producing the Argentine’s electrifying brand of football in glimpses.
But after a full off-season and transfer window, they should be well placed to improve next season.
Gianluigi Donnarumma is set to sign for the club on a five-year, £200,000-a-week deal after leaving AC Milan on a free transfer.
Serge Aurier could then return to play at right-back – despite having often had to play second fiddle at Tottenham during Pochettino’s tenure.
Marquinhos and Presnel Kimpembe provide a solid base at centre-back, while Juan Bernat will return from his ruptured cruciate ligament injury, having penning a new deal in March.
PSG have hijacked Barcelona’s deal for Liverpool ace Wijnaldum – who like Donnarumma arrives on a free transfer.
He could partner Marco Verratti in the middle, while in big games they may be joined by Idrissa Gueye or Leandro Paredes to form a midfield three.

Neymar finally penned a new contract last month, and will be central to Pochettino’s attacking plans.
While club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi remains bullish regarding their chances of keeping Kylian Mbappe, despite the Frenchman’s deal having just one year left to run.
Should he stay, Mbappe could play wide on the left, with Angel Di Maria on the opposite flank and Neymar as a No10.
Then Cristiano Ronaldo could arrive to spearhead a devastating attack, with his representatives having reportedly contacted PSG over making a move from Juventus.

PSG confirm Lionel Messi talks and open door to signing Barcelona legend in sensational free transfer this summer

PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has opened the door to completing a free transfer for Lionel Messi this summer.Reports in Spain suggest that the previously wantaway Argentine is close to extending his stay at Barcelona.

But Al-Khelaifi, 47, is refusing to give up.
In an interview with L’Equipe, he noted: “Messi is at the end of his contract and all clubs have the right to talk to him and recruit him for next season.
“What I can tell you, and you can believe me, is that all great players want to come to PSG.
“All – just to be clear, I’m not saying that to answer you on Messi. It’s not possible to sign them all, since we have great players too.
“And Messi is Messi, a fantastic player.”
Regardless of his setting next season, the 33-year-old will have to take a sizeable pay cut.
Barcelona’s £1billion of debt would necessitate a big drop in wages for Messi to stay in Catalonia.
But even PSG wouldn’t be able to offer his current Barca salary due to a cut in revenue brought on by the coronavirus pandemic.

Al-Khelaifi believes that Uefa’s Financial Fair Play regulations are ‘untenable’.
He added: “Everyone knows that clubs are going to lose money.
“Honestly, with the health crisis, the rules of FFP are untenable. Football around the world has lost around $8bn.
“FFP should not prevent investment. Do we want people to put money into football or other sports? I want them to invest in our sport.
“We need to change the rules of FFP and Uefa must work on it.”
Manchester City have also been extensively linked with Messi over the last 12 months, but a deal feels unlikely unless something dramatically changes.

Mbappe, 22, has enjoyed another stellar season with 42 goals in just 47 games.
He has now spent four seasons with Ligue 1 giants PSG following a 2017 switch from Monaco.
But with his deal expiring next year, reports claim Mbappe has caught the eye of some of Europe’s finest.
Real Madrid are long-term admirers of the World Cup winner, who could add the Euros to his collection with France next month.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are also thought to be exploring ways of luring Mbappe to the Premier League.
And with time running down on his deal, it has been suggested PSG may sell the striker this summer to prevent losing him for free in 2022.
However, club president Al-Khelaifi is remaining defiant over Mbappe’s future in the French capital.
Fellow big-money superstar Neymar has already extended his contract under boss Mauricio Pochettino.

And when asked about the chances of Mbappe following suit, Al-Khelaifi gave a confident response.
He told L’Equipe: “I will be clear. Mbappe is going to stay in Paris.
“We will never sell him and he will never leave on a free. Mbappe has everything he needs in Paris.
“Where can he go? What club, in terms of ambition, can compete with PSG today?
“All I can say is that things are going well and I hope we can reach an agreement [on a new deal].
“This is Paris, this is his country. He has a mission, not only to play football, but to promote Ligue 1, his country and his capital.”

Liverpool release four players but NOT Wijnaldum despite midfielder on verge of PSG transfer after snubbing Barcelona

LIVERPOOL have placed four players on their end-of-season released list – but Georginio Wijnaldum is not one of them. The 30-year-old is out of contract at Anfield and is widely expected to leave the club, with Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain believed to be interested.

Liverpool have given free transfers to just four reserves: Liam Coyle, Joseph Hardy, Abdi Sharif and Jack Walls.
But many were expecting Wijnaldum’s name to be on that list as his contract is due to expire at the end of this month.
The Holland international has been linked with Barca and PSG, with the Ligue 1 club reportedly willing to DOUBLE his salary.
And according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Wijnaldum is close to agreeing a move to the French capital.
Rumours suggest he will sign a three-year deal at PSG after receiving several calls from manager Mauricio Pochettino in the last few days.
The reported transfer could even be completed before Holland’s Euro 2020 campaign begins against Ukraine on Sunday, June 13.

The ex-Newcastle midfielder has also said an emotional goodbye to Liverpool fans, telling them: “The people in Liverpool have shown me love during the five years. I will miss them.
“I hope to have played many more years for the club but unfortunately things went different. I have to start a new adventure.”
But his shock exclusion from the free transfer list suggests his Anfield story may not be over just yet.
All four players – plus Wijnaldum – can still be retained by Liverpool if the club decides to offer them a new deal.
The 74-cap international has been crucial to the Reds’ success this season, playing in every Premier League game to help them finish third.

PSG launch last-gasp bid to hijack Barcelona’s Georginio Wijnaldum move by offering DOUBLE the wages after free transfer

According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona are waiting for Wijnaldum to make a decision on his future.
Previous reports suggested the 30-year-old would sign for the Spanish giants on a free transfer.
But that move appears to be in doubt as PSG have reportedly offered to double his pay.
Both clubs are believed to be offering Wijnaldum a three-year contract, with the LaLiga team said to be preparing a medical.
The midfielder is understood to prefer a move to Spain and work under Dutch legend and Barca manager Ronald Koeman.
But the Ligue 1 side are allegedly complicating matters by offering him more than €150,000-a-week.

Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are also believed to be monitoring the Holland international.
According to Marca, Wijnaldum told the press earlier this week: “I cannot deny talks [with Barcelona].
“My contract ends and it is an interesting situation for many clubs.”

Wijnaldum enjoyed an excellent six-year stint in the Premier League after leaving PSV for Newcastle United in 2015.
Although the Magpies were relegated in his only season at the club, he’s gone on to win the Prem and Champions League at Anfield.
And the 74-cap international has been included in Frank de Boer’s squad for the Euros.
