“I began playing during the 2014 World Cup, and I have fallen in love with the game.
“I play poker in an aggressive fashion. My favourite hands are a pair of tens – after my shirt number – and Jack-Five.
“There are similarities between football and poker, in the ways how you read your game and your opponent, and choose when to attack.
“I used to play it a lot while with Barcelona, and we play often at PSG.
“I make myself hard for my opponents to read, although I play too many hands.
Neymar is the cultural ambassador for PokerStars

“The first time I got a pet dog I named him ‘Poker’ as I love the game so much.
“Every time I sit down to play I aim to win – whether it is with friends, online or in a tournament.”
Neymar has had lessons from leading Brazilian poker pros Andre Akkari and Rafa Moraes.
The forward has twice scooped domestic three-of-a-kind with trebles at PSG, in 2018 and 2020 – although Neymar and Co finished second to Lille last season.
On his new role with PokerStars he said: “Poker is so much more than just the game, it is a community and a culture and that is what I love about it.
“I am excited to start this next chapter with PokerStars, and we are already collaborating on a number of key areas.”

Wijnaldum elected to leave Liverpool upon the expiry of his contract, after five successful seasons at Anfield.
And after weeks of of speculation, he chose Parc des Princes as his next destination.
On his choice, he said: “We spent weeks negotiating with Barcelona.
“But the club had not quite taken the step and Paris Saint-Germain appeared and were faster and more decisive.”
Wijnaldum, 30, admitted that it was a tough decision to make.
He added: “It was a difficult decision.
“They are two great clubs and I wish I could have played in both. But I am happy with my decision.”
Going into the summer with his future up in the air was stressful for the Dutchman, who is glad to have his transfer sewn up before Euro 2020.

He added that he has been through ‘intense weeks, in which many things happened’.
Wijnaldum had previously given a cryptic answer as to why he opted not to accept a contract extension at Liverpool.
He said: “There is a problem when people look at the situation from the outside and don’t understand it.
“Many fans asked me why I didn’t simply accept Liverpool’s offer to extend my contract.
Things happen behind the scenes that you have no control over as a playerGini Wijnaldum on his Liverpool exit
“But of course that is not the only factor. It is about much more than just that.
“Things happen behind the scenes that you have no control over as a player.
“I will spell them out in full after the Euros, as right now playing for Holland is the only thing that matters.”
The Netherlands get their campaign underway tomorrow against Ukraine – with Dutch skipper Wijnaldum set to play in just his second tournament – despite having won 75 caps.
Wijnaldum featured in in every game on the way to the semi-finals at the 2014 World Cup, before the Dutch found themselves in the wilderness – failing to qualify for Euro 2016 or Russia in 2018.

Kylian Mbappe says he has never seen a player like Jeremy Doku
Doku has represented Belgium and earned a big-money move to Rennes so far in his short career
Mbappe compared Doku to players like Kyle Walker and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, revealing he has never seen a player like the 19-year-old.
In an interview with France Football, Mbappe said: “Recently, I was speaking with my father about a player who impressed me because of his speed qualities, that is (Jérémy) Doku, at Rennes.
“In 5 years as a professional, I have never seen someone from a standing start demonstrate so much power.
“In terms of an incredibly quick player, I would also put Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
“Neymar too, certainly before his injuries. He could change direction with crazy ease.
“There are also players less explosive from a standing start like Kyle Walker at Manchester City. He is like a tank once he hits his speed once he gets into it.”

Doku’s speed and form for Rennes has gained attraction from several suitors, including Liverpool.
The Reds were initially linked to the youngster in 2020, while he was at Anderlecht, but the Belgium international sealed a £20m to Rennes in the last summer transfer window.
He made 30 appearances in a Rennes side which finished sixth in Ligue 1 last year, and helped his side keep a draw against Mbappe’s PSG in May, which ended up costing them the title.

Having initially looked set for a move to Barcelona, PSG hijacked the deal at the last minute by offering Wijnaldum higher wages.
The midfielder, 30, is now due to join the French giants on July 1, with Liverpool already looking for replacements.
According to SPORT1, they have started negotiations to sign Neuhaus, who made 45 appearances last season, with eight goals and assists.
But it is claimed Liverpool are yet to make an official offer to either Monchengladbach or the player.
Neuhaus, capable of playing as a deep-lying midfielder or in a pair, has made six international caps, scoring twice.
And Liverpool are said to be using the delayed European Championships as a way of further scouting the starlet.
Neuhaus has opened up about a switch away from Germany in the past.

Neymar ‘BLOCKS Real Madrid transfer move for Kylian Mbappe with guarantee striker will stay as part of new PSG contract’

Spanish paper AS claim that Neymar will block Mbappe’s potential exit
But he finally ended the speculation, when he penned an extension to 2025.
Part of the deal, however, was insistent on not being the only true superstar at Parc des Princes.
According to AS, Neymar’s renewal was dependent on assurances that Mbappe, 22, would stay for another year.
The Frenchman has shown little inclination towards signing an extension.
It means that PSG could lose him for FREE next summer.
Club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has been bullish on the situation, claiming that Mbappe will ‘never be sold’.
He told L’Equipe: “I will be clear. Mbappe is going to stay in Paris.
“We will never sell him and he will never leave on a free. Mbappe has everything he needs in Paris.

Mbappe himself has been non-committal, saying after PSG’s Coupe de France triumph last month: “What I want is to win, to feel that I am in a place where I can really win, that there is a solid project around me.
“That is the most important thing. The sports project is essential.”

Watch Man Utd star Paul Pogba brutally shut down PSG transfer talk after France team-mates joke about summer switch

PAUL POGBA made very clear that he was not in talks with Paris Saint-Germain in a hilarious exchange with two of his France team-mates.The Manchester United midfielder gatecrashed Kingsley Coman and Presnel Kimpembe’s press conference during Les Bleus’ Euro 2020 camp.
Paul Pogba cracked a joke with Kingsley Coman and Presnel Kimpembe
The Manchester United star dropped a brutal response to transfer rumours
Popping up from behind the pair, he interrupted their Infosport chat to, quite simply, have a bit of a catch up.
PSG defender Kimpembe and Coman, a former winger for the Ligue 1 club, laughed as he emerged and Pogba asked about the topic of conversation.
With Paris on the agenda, the 28-year-old confirmed that he is from the city having grown up in the suburb of Lagny-sur-Marne.
Fellow Parisians Coman and Kimpembe gently probed their international colleague over a potential return home.
Pogba quickly cottoned on and when asked by Coman if there had been any ‘contact’ over a transfer, he quickly shot back: “Huh? No.”
Kimpembe burst out laughing as his pal exited stage right, adding an extra comment off camera.

After five years at Manchester United, Pogba’s contract expires next summer and the club are reportedly concerned about losing him on a free.
According to ESPN, PSG are among the clubs who would be interested in signing him if he were to become available.
There is said to be little expectation that a serious bid will land for his services this summer.
But United want to agree a new deal with Pogba and may be forced to cash in if there is little prospect of that happening.

How PSG could line up next season with Cristiano Ronaldo, Wijnaldum and Donnarumma after savvy free transfers

PSG could have an even more star-studded team next season

They missed out on the Ligue 1 title for just the second time since 2012, but will be raring to go next time out – especially after securing canny new signings like Georginio Wijnaldum.
Pochettino, 49, arrived mid-season – with his side only producing the Argentine’s electrifying brand of football in glimpses.
But after a full off-season and transfer window, they should be well placed to improve next season.
Gianluigi Donnarumma is set to sign for the club on a five-year, £200,000-a-week deal after leaving AC Milan on a free transfer.
Serge Aurier could then return to play at right-back – despite having often had to play second fiddle at Tottenham during Pochettino’s tenure.
Marquinhos and Presnel Kimpembe provide a solid base at centre-back, while Juan Bernat will return from his ruptured cruciate ligament injury, having penning a new deal in March.
PSG have hijacked Barcelona’s deal for Liverpool ace Wijnaldum – who like Donnarumma arrives on a free transfer.
He could partner Marco Verratti in the middle, while in big games they may be joined by Idrissa Gueye or Leandro Paredes to form a midfield three.

Should he stay, Mbappe could play wide on the left, with Angel Di Maria on the opposite flank and Neymar as a No10.
