Dundee United kit manufacturers involved in Twitter spat as fan calls them out over one crucial detail on new strip

DUNDEE UNITED’S new kit launch went down a treat with supporters. But the company who made United’s kit have managed to score a rather spectacular own goal.
Dundee United’s new home top has been well-received by fans
But Erreà made a critical error when promoting the shirt
Erreà, the Italian sportswear brand, signed a deal with the Tannadice outfit to produce their strips starting from this season.
They unveiled their first offering today, with the home kit revealed on social media (though the release date remains TBC).
While supporters wait to find out when they can get their hands on the new threads, they’ve been looking at as many images of it as possible.
Erreà posted some of snaps of the jersey being modelled on Twitter, but didn’t quite get the reaction they were hoping for as they got one key detail mixed up.

They wrote: “Introducing @dundeeunitedfc’s new home kit.
“Orange, elegant, it pays tribute to the iconic club founded in 1909.
“The jersey features a stylish pattern of the club’s rampant lion logo, with white and black details on the collar and sleeves.”
One particular aspect of that description left United fans with the same complaint.

Plenty of Arabs quickly pointed out to Erreà that their club’s official colour is of course tangerine, not orange.
One exclaimed: “Excuse me, ORANGE? No, we play in tangerine.”
While another, offering a more positive perspective, said: “*Tangerine. Looks great!”
But a response from Erreà to one reply stood out above all others, with the manufacturers getting on the defensive.
A supported commented: “Should be tangerine. Not orange. At least get the colour right!
“Plus, we didn’t start playing in tangerine till 1966. Not off to a good start with 2 important stats incorrect!”
Erreà seemed to get the claws out for their comeback.
The brand said: “Sorry for the two inaccuracies James, we will improve so that everything will be perfect next time thanks to your valuable advice.
“Congratulations you are a big fan of your club. Do you even like the jersey or did we get that wrong too?”
Talking about the kit on its own, punters seemed to be mostly in approval.
One called it a “stunning kit” while another said it “genuinely looks class”.
A Hearts fan even chimed in: “Furious at how nice a kit that is.”
Others shared their excitement and the fact they couldn’t wait to get their hands on the top.
But, many agreed that the shirt looked better without one key feature…
    The sponsor on the front.
One said: “Not United’s fault; the same can be said for most kits and money is money, but… That looks absolutely SENSATIONAL with no sponsor.”
Another commented: “Going to be heartbreaking watching them plaster sponsors all over this masterpiece.”
“Looks unreal without the sponsor on it,” came a further reply, and many after it…
United’s head of commercial and sponsorship, Elliot Shaw, said: “I am absolutely delighted how our maiden kit of the Errea era has turned out.
“The design is stylish and contemporary, and I have no doubts that it will be a real hit with our supporters.
“I am also thrilled to introduce Bartercard as our new front-of-shirt sponsor for the 2023/24 season.

“Bartercard have been a fantastic partner to work with, and it is great to see how our initial conversations last summer around partnering with the club have developed at such a pace that they are now Principal Partners. I would like to thank Chris and the team for the magnificent support that they have given to Dundee United.”

Eagle-eyed fans spot Garnacho is MISSING from Man Utd shirt list and say it spells major change for the wonderkid

EAGLED-EYED Manchester United fans have noticed Alejandro Garnacho is MISSING from the club’s shirt list.SunSport reported on Saturday that Garnacho was allegedly in line to inherit Cristiano Ronaldo’s No.7 shirt.

Garnacho does not appear on the Red Devils shirt list
It comes following the announcement of the club’s new kitsCredit: Instagram @manchesterunited
Garnacho’s current No.49 has been left off the club’s shirt list following the announcement of their new home kit.
This has left fans saying the same thing on Twitter.
One fan wrote: “No Garnacho 49 only means one thing👀👀.”
A second said: “I love it on him || ❤️.”

“Deserves it imo,” responded a third.
Should Garnacho – who penned a new five-year deal at United in April – adopt the former shirt of his footballing hero, he will become the first teenage recipient of the shirt since Ronaldo himself in 2003.
However, to many United fans, the No.7 shirt is seen as “cursed”.
And a number of fans insisted it was too early for the Argentinian to take on such responsibility, with one saying: “Too soon don’t wanna see him bogged down with expectation.”

A second reacted: “I hope not.. not this season!!.”
While another declared: “It’s too early for him to wear number 7.”
Big names and promising stars alike have taken on the weight of the shirt – worn by greats such as George Best, Eric Cantona, Bryan Robson and David Beckham – and failed to make their mark.
The likes of Alexis Sanchez, Angel Di Maria, Michael Owen and Memphis Depay come to mind in recent times.
Ronaldo scored 24 goals in his first season upon his return to the club but could not stop United slipping to their worst-ever Premier League season.
The start of his second year saw his form drop off dramatically, netting just three times for United before he was whisked away to Saudi Arabia.
He has since been joined in the Middle East by Karim Benzema and Ruben Neves, with even more big stars such as Bernardo Silva reportedly set to follow. More

Newcastle third kit LEAKED with distinct Saudi theme as fans say ‘at some point they might realise…’

NEWCASTLE’S new third kit appears to have been leaked… and once again it has more than just a hint of Saudi influence.A shirt is circulating on social media with the Toon badge and the Castore logo.
Newcastle’s new third kit was reportedly leaked onlineCredit: twitter @Footy_Headlines
The design has resemblence to the Saudi Arabia away shirtCredit: twitter @Footy_Headlines
But it is the colour that has left fans flooding in with comments.
Castore’s latest strip is almost entirely green with light and dark stripes in various shapes and directions across the entire design.
Saudi Arabia is synonymous with the colour green and the national team wore a similar away kit at the Qatar 2022 World Cup, famously beating Argentina.
The leaked jersey is completed with a black-and-white trim around the sleeves and round-neck collar.

It comes a year after Newcastle’s controversial white-and-green number – accused of being a Saudi-style shirt following the takeover by the Public Investment Fund.
And similar jibes were directed at the Magpies for the latest shirt.
One said in response to the Footy Headlines images: “At some point the Geordies might realise it’s not their club anymore, this is embarrassing.”
Another wrote: “After green kits, all the Saudi sponsors etc, I’m afraid that they’ll join Saudi Pro League next!”

A third added: “Very nice shirt. How long until Newcastle adds palm trees to the crest?”
A fourth commented: “It is a shame what the colour of this kit represents, it is brazenly obvious… no need to keep rubbing yourselves in everyone’s faces of who you are.”
And a final user simply replied: “Rotten.”
If the leaked kit is genuine, Newcastle fans could see Sandro Tonali lining up in it at the likes of Fulham, Tottenham and Brighton next term.
The Italian is closing in on a £65million record transfer to St James’ Park.
And he could be followed to Tyneside by Leicester ace James Maddison, who remains a top target.

Adidas ‘STOP sale of Arsenal’s new home kit after fans spot embarrassing blunder in the Invincibles detail’

ADIDAS have reportedly stopped selling Arsenal’s new home kit after fans spotted a blunder in its design. The kit manufacturer is claimed to have made an embarrassing blunder on the authentic version of the home shirt for the next Premier League season.
Arsenal released the new home shirt that was made by Adidas in MayCredit: Getty
But fans have spotted an error in the design of the authentic versionCredit: https://twitter.com/afcstuff
Arsenal released their new stunning kit back in May and it was revealed that there would be a hidden nod to the Invincibles from the Premier League 2003-04 campaign.
This was the year that under Arsene Wenger the Gunners managed to win the league title without losing a single league game.
And the new shirt was set to pay homage to that achievement 20 years on with stitching on the white trim on the side.
The record of 26 wins and 12 draws was supposed to have been stitched into the side of the jersey in the order of each result.

However eagle-eyed fans have spotted that there has been an issue in the design.
This is because they think that only 32 of the 38 league results have been featured on the shirt.
The last four games of the season draws against Portsmouth and Birmingham as well as two wins from the six-game winning run have been missed off.

One fan wrote: “Both of mine only have 32. Bit confusing why they have done this. Surely must be an error by @adidasfootball and @Arsenal.”
    Most read in Football
A second noted: “£110 for that kit should be spot on it’s beyond a joke how they have got it wrong.”
A third said: “Pretty disappointing but put it this way. If they reproduce (highly doubt it) to show all 38, then the ‘32 fixture’ shirt will be a rarity and collectible!”
The shirt has since not been available to buy from Adidas or Arsenal via their websites.
On the Arsenal site the item the shirt appears to be to say that stock is “coming soon”.
Whereas on the Adidas site, there is only the option to buy the standard version and not the authentic one.
Arsenal confirmed a design error with the shirt as they reached out to fans waiting for their new shirts.
In an email seen by SunSport, the club wrote: “We’ve become aware of a design error with the current 23/24 Authentic Home Shirt. Consequently, we’re unfortunately unable to fulfill your order at this time.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused and will be cancelling and refunding your order in full.

But it appears fans will wish they can reverse time in order to avoid the club’s ‘leaked’ new kits.
As revealed by FootyHeadlines, United’s apparent new away kit sports a dark green and white striped pattern.
They donned a similar colour scheme as recently as 2020/21, though that was a black and white rather than a confusingly similar dark green kit.
However, this time around fans have been left less than impressed with the design choice, fuming due to the resemblance it has with Premier League rivals Newcastle.

New Man Utd home kit ‘leaked’ as fuming fans complain of ‘newly-promoted vibes’ after shirt ‘spotted in NYC store’

THE new Manchester United home kit has reportedly been leaked. An advertising poster claimed to have been spotted at an adidas store in New York has been circulated online.

But fans are divided on the rumoured new design – with some blasting it as having “newly-promoted vibes”.
The image shows left-back Luke Shaw wearing the so-called new kit – which comes a month after a different home shirt was seemingly leaked.
It features the traditional red base with various subtle lines forming the design across the jersey.
The kit is completed by the United badge, the new adidas logo, black trim including the three stripes and a nice simple neck.

There is also a large TeamViewer sponsorship on the front of the kit – although it remains to be seen whether the tech company will retain their spot on the United shirts.
The German brand terminated their £235million deal in December, citing a dramatic drop in their share price.
It is thought the confusion over the front-of-shirt sponsor has contributed to the delay in the Red Devils officially releasing their new kit.
Supporters flooded social media with their reaction to the possible strip for the 2023-24 season, which will see Erik ten Hag’s side back in the Champions League.
