Meet Spurs target Milik’s model Wag Jessica, who he chatted up in a shopping centre when she was 16 and out with her mum

IT was love at first sight for Spurs target Arkadiusz Milik when he first clapped eyes on future fiancee Jessica Ziolek.
The Napoli hitman, who was an aspiring teenage footballer in Poland at the time, spied the 25-year-old beauty in a shopping centre and knew he had to make his move.

Undeterred by the presence of then-16-year-old Jessica’s mum on the scene, Milik casually asked the stunner for her number.
But Ziolek, playing hard to get, initially joked he should find her on Facebook.
    SHOPPING AROUND
When 17-year-old Milik went to a Polish shopping centre, he never would’ve imagined he’d be shopping for a future wife.
However, he spotted Ziolek when she was searching for a gift for her sister’s husband in the men’s department, and couldn’t keep his eyes off her.

“At one point, my mum noticed that a certain boy was watching me all the time,” Ziolek told Viva!
“‘Mum, leave me alone!’ I said at first. Then the mysterious man came up and asked for my phone number.
“As a rule, I do not give my number to strangers, I said teasingly that he could find me on Facebook.”

HE HAD TO WAIT FOR HER
In 2013, Milik and Ziolek were forced to live apart when he signed for German side Bayer Leverkusen.

Her family believed it was important she stayed in Poland to finish her studies.
“I wanted to do it (move) earlier, because I knew that my place was with him,” she told Gala in 2018.
“But my mother told me to stay in Poland and pass my secondary school-leaving examination.”
Six months later the two were reunited.
    SHE’S IN FASHION
Ziolek has modelled for fashion campaigns in Poland and Italy.
But now she’s a designer in her own right, having launched the Wild Mascot clothing brand in 2019.
And it can be found in prestigious boutiques in Italy too.

Ziolek’s designs are sold in the Michele Franzese boutiques, alongside fashion giants like Yves Saint Laurent.
If she moves to North London, there’s plenty of trendy boutiques here that could stock her clothes.
Maybe she’ll get fellow Spurs Wags to model it too.

Man Utd wonderkid Joe Hugill, aged 16, is 6ft 2in striker who plays like Kane and scored winning pen in EFL Trophy win

MESSI, Salah, Maradona… Joe Hugill is in good company.
Like those star forwards, the Manchester United wonderkid is blessed with a magical left foot capable of hurting the opposition.

    6

It’s why the Red Devils paid Sunderland £300,000 for the 16-year-old back in the summer.
Hugill impressed with United’s U21 team in Tuesday’s EFL Trophy win over Rochdale, coming close when he hit the woodwork and scoring the winning penalty (with his right foot) in a shootout after the sides drew 0-0 after 90 minutes.
The 6ft 2in frame showed he is a capable target man – as comfortable receiving the ball on the deck as he is leaping for a long ball in the air.
Here’s why the Old Trafford hierarchy moved quick to secure Hugill’s services in the summer, beating off competition from Premier League rivals Arsenal and Tottenham.

    A TRUE MACKEM
Born and bred in Sunderland, Hugill spent his entire youth career at his boyhood club.
In recent years, the Black Cats have produced an incredible array of talent.
England goalie Jordan Pickford and Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson have risen to the top after coming through the ranks in the North East.
Josh Maja made waves in the Sunderland first team before he was signed by Bordeaux, where he is thriving in France.

And Sam Greenwood earned rave reviews for Arsenal’s youth sides, after joining the Gunners in 2018 from the EFL League One side, and recently earned a £3million move to Leeds United.
Like those mentioned, Hugill shone at the ‘Academy of Light’, playing for both the U18s and U23s.
    TECHNICALLY SOUND
First thing you’ll notice about Hugill’s game is his touch.
When the ball is played to feet it sticks, and he’s able to bring others into the game with his link-up play.
But there’s also goals to his game too.
On his Premier League 2 debut, with Sunderland rock bottom of the table, he scored twice against West Ham in a 4-2 defeat.
Hugill also scored a hat-trick against Shrewsbury Town in the FA Youth Cup – alerting scouts to his abilities.

    6

Although more slight in build, he has been compared to England hotshot Harry Kane in terms of his style of play.
He’s not blessed with pace, but he certainly knows where the goal is.
    UNITED’S YOUTH PUSH
Hugill is seen as one for the future by Nicky Butt, now head of first team development, but was formerly overseeing their youth set-up.

The graduate of the ‘Class of ’92’ oversaw the arrivals of Tahith Chong, Charlie McCann, France youth stars Aliou Traore and Hannibal Mejbri, Arnau Puigmal, and Largie Ramazani in that role, until Nick Cox took over the reigns last year.
And with his recommendation, Hugill was added to that list of promising youngsters.
Perhaps the class of 2020 can be just as impressive as Beckham, the Nevilles, Scholes and Co in years to come.

Jurgen Klopp calls out Man Utd icon Roy Keane live on Sky Sports over criticism of ‘sloppy’ Liverpool after Arsenal win More

  • in

Raging Roy Keane’s long list of feuds from Jurgen Klopp to Alex Ferguson, Patrick Vieira, Mick McCarthy and Haaland

ROY KEANE rarely utters a word without wounding someone with his sharp tongue.
In a career that has covered three decades, the controversial Irishman has taken aim at managers, players, team-mates and opponents.

    12

The former hardman midfielder, 49, has been at it again this week after riling Jurgen Klopp with his comments about Liverpool’s ‘sloppy’ win over Arsenal.
So, here, SunSport takes a look back through some of Keane’s most high-profile public spats.
    Sir Alex Ferguson
THE war with Fergie, Keane’s most powerful enemy, stems back to an MUTV interview that never aired.
The Irish midfielder slated team-mates like Rio Ferdinand, John O’Shea and Darren Fletcher which left Fergie fuming and saw Keane sold to Celtic.

Ferguson accused Keane of “trying to run” Manchester United which led to a war-of-words in public.
In an interview with Jason McAteer, Keane said he would “have a go” at Fergie if he saw him now.
Speaking last week on Off The Ball, Keane said: “I wouldn’t forgive Ferguson. The media spin, how I apparently upset everybody, it was all nonsense.
“I don’t care if it’s Alex Ferguson or the Pope, you’re going to defend yourself.

“People talk about Ferguson’s man-management. Nonsense. People said he always had the best interests of Manchester United at heart. (His son) Darren Ferguson won a medal. He was very lucky.”

    12

    Jon Walters
This is a feud that began during Keane’s time as the Republic of Ireland assistant coach.
A WhatsApp audio by defender Stephen Ward accuses Keane of going on a tirade against Harry Arter, Stephen Ward and Jon Walters.
Walters and Keane are said to have almost come to blows after a dispute about the former Burnley striker’s injury.
And Keane took aim at Walters during the ‘Off the Ball’ show in Dublin for “crying on the TV about his family situation”.
Walters revealed this year how he never grieved the death of his mother who died when he was just 11.

On TV, crying about his family situation. You know, how about lying low for a while, taking it easy.
    Roy Keane on Jon Walters

He also courageously spoke of the “triple whammy” of losing his brother last year while his wife suffered a miscarriage and his daughter was diagnosed with an illness.
In the wake of that, Keane said: “Jon does a lot of talking, it’s amazing.
“Imagine if Jon won a trophy. He talks a good game. He goes on the TV, on about how he was harshly treated by me.
“Not kicking a ball for Burnley for two or three years.
“On TV, crying about his family situation. You know, how about lying low for a while, taking it easy.
“Have a look at his medals? Wouldn’t take long.”
Walters hit back by describing Keane as a “bully” as he told JOE: “To go there, whether he meant it or not – he probably did – it didn’t bother me, but it just shows a side of him that I know.”
He added: “Just because someone has a sharp tongue or a stare doesn’t make them a tough guy.”

Roy Keane blasted after telling Jon Walters to stop ‘crying’ about sick daughter
    Mick McCarthy
IRELAND’S 2002 World Cup campaign is not remembered for their escape from a tough group that included Germany, Cameroon and Saudi Arabia.
Nor for their admirable stand against Spain in the last 16.
No, Ireland’s campaign was overshadowed by the dramatic fallout on the eve of the tournament which saw Mick McCarthy send Keane home.
There are contradictions over how the fallout transpired, but an outburst from Keane is said to have gone as follows.
    “You’re a f*****g w****r. I didn’t rate you as a player, I don’t rate you as a manager and I don’t rate you as a person,” he raged.
“You’re a f*****g w****r and you can stick your World Cup up your arse. I’ve got no respect for you.
“The only reason I have any dealings with you is that somehow you are the manager of my country! You can stick it up your b******s.”
McCarthy is still clearly unimpressed with Keane as he refused to comment on his former player’s feud with Walters this week.

    Alf-Inge Haaland
NO list of horror challenges is complete without that eye-watering leg-breaker Keane planted on Alf-Inge Haaland.
Keane denies it but most viewers figured the Irishman’s horror tackle in 2001 was revenge for a challenge made by the Norwegian four years earlier.
Keane, though, says he has no regrets over the incident, writing in his autobiography that Haaland “p****d me off, shooting his mouth off. He was an absolute p***k to play against.”
Keane wrote: “I did want to nail him and let him know what was happening. I wanted to hurt him and stand over him and go: ‘Take that, you c**t.’
“I don’t regret that. But I had no wish to injure him.”
    Ah, that’s alright then.

    Peter Schmeichel
IT was on the 27th floor of a Hong Kong hotel back in the summer of 1998 that Keane and Schmeichel came to blows.
The handbags, as Keane says in his autobiography, were fuelled by booze.
Keane said: “There’d been a little bit of tension between us over the years, for football reasons.
“Peter would come out shouting at players, and I felt sometimes he was playing up to the crowd: ‘Look at me!’
“He said: ‘I’ve had enough of you, It’s time we sorted this out.’ So I said ‘Okay’ and we had a fight. It felt like 10 minutes.”
The two men remained team-mates for another season, going on to win an incredible treble before Schmeichel departed.
But the bad blood remained over the years as Keane described Schmeichel as a “poser” in his book.
And in 2017, after the Dane expressed surprise that the FAI had hired Keane, his old club mate said: “I’d say f**k all to him.
“I’d say nothing to Peter. What could I say to him? I don’t keep in touch with Peter.”

    12

    Patrick Vieira
THEIR battles have become a legend of the game and a relic of the Premier League’s yesteryear.
The kind of no-nonsense challenges and bulldozing tackles that Vieira and Keane used to put in have no place in the modern game.
And while their was a certain level of respect between the pair, there was plenty of bad blood.
One of the most memorable moments in Premier League history is the clash in the tight Highbury tunnel between the two midfield titans.
Held back by referee Graham Poll, Keane warned his French rival: “I’ll see you out there.”
Vieira is one of the only figures who Keane has been relatively kind about in the years since then, describing him as “very, very, very tough”.
But, in keeping up with appearances, the Irishman did find one weakness in the Frenchman’s armoury
“I don’t think he was as tough as me,” Keane said in an ITV documentary in 2013.

    12

    12

Keane and Vieira clash in the Highbury tunnel

    Harry Arter
ANOTHER victim of the Ireland fallout last year, Harry Arter felt Keane’s wrath most forcefully.
The midfielder had been suffering with an injury while in Irish training camp and, according Stephen Ward, Keane took offence to Arter’s absence.
Ward picks up the tale here: “Apparently [Arter] was getting a bit of treatment in the treatment room and Roy walked in and he was like, ‘When are you going to train, you f**king p***k?’.
“Harry was like, ‘What?’. And he was like, ‘F**king any chance of you training?’.
“He explained the situation again and Roy was just going off going, ‘You’re a f***ing p***k, you’re a c***, you don’t even care, you don’t want to train’.
“Harry was just going, ‘Roy, I’m not speaking to you like this, you know, I’m not listening to you, you’re not the manager so you can’t say anything to me’.”

Leeds boss Bielsa is a one-off, not least because he accepts his mistakes and doesn’t just blame the ref

IF coaches were not always using referees as scapegoats, then maybeVAR would never have been introduced and football would not be going through its current crisis with the hand ball law.
But the Premier League can now count on one coach who is unlikelyto spend much time moaning about the officials. Marcelo Bielsa, the Argentine in charge of Leeds United, is far happier blaming himself.

    4

Self-critical Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa is happy to accept the blame for his perceived bad decisionsCredit: EPA

He did it again after the weekend’s 1-0 win over Sheffield United.“The game was in its closing stages,” he explained after the match, “and I had to take off either Rodrigo or Partick Bamford. And Bamford is a player who is very useful helping us defend against opposing set pieces.”
And so Rodrigo left the field. “But this change was not the right decision,” Bielsa continued, “because Bamford was tired and I should have kept Rodrigo on the field.”
    THE BLAME GAME
Where many in football are insecure and reluctant to own up to anyerror, Bielsa appears to relish blaming himself.
Still well remembered in Argentina is one of his first games in chargeof the national team, a 1-1 draw with Holland back in 1999.

He made a change at half time, taking off Ariel Ortega and introducing Milan midfielder Andres Guglielminpietro for his international debut. It was not a happy occasion.
Thirty five minutes later, Guly was himself hauled off and replaced by Hernan Crespo. Bielsa blamed himself, accepting that his tactical thinking had not been sound.
And Guglielminpietro is also happy to blame Bielsa, as he made clear when he spoke to an Argentine radio station last year.
“I suffered at the time and it still hurts me now,” he said.

“I wouldn’t do it as a coach. I think [in a polite translation] that I should have told Bielsa where to go. If our paths cross now I believe I would tell him. But I should have done it twenty years ago.”

    CASE OF GUGLIELMINPIETRO
A few months later, Bielsa brought Guglielminpietro off the benchonce more in a Copa America match against Colombia. It was a fiery occasion.
Bielsa had to watch his centre forward Martin Palermo miss three penalties. Right back Javier Zanetti was sent off – and Bielsa, too, was given the red card.
I was at the game, and vividly recall the post match press conference. It was the first time I had seen Bielsa, with his strange manner of not making eye contact, of staring at a point in space while he expressed himself in his own ornate brand of Spanish.
One of the opening questions probed for his thoughts on the referee.
“One doesn’t have the custom of discussing the match day officials,” he began, “but in respect to today’s referee…”

    4

One thing Bielsa will never do is criticise match day officialsCredit: EPA

At this point the whole room was imagining that Bielsa would condemnthe Paraguayan Ubaldo Aquino as a clown who should not be let anywhere near a field again.
Instead he went on with “…. in respect to my expulsion the refereewas absolutely correct, because I protested in an ill mannered form.”
It was instantly obvious that this man was a one-off, and that hiscareer would be well worth following – all the way to the Premier League.
