CARLOS SAINZ sent Formula 1 fans into a frenzy after taking his shirt off following the Miami Grand Prix on Sunday.The Spaniard managed third place in the first ever Florida-based race as reigning world champion Max Verstappen took the victory.

Verstappen, Sainz and second place Charles Leclerc then met in the cool down room after the race ahead of the podium presentation.
And as the camera was focused in on the two Ferrari drivers, Sainz and Leclerc, the Sky Sports cameras caught the Madrid-born racer showing off his ripped physique with an outfit change.
This led to some F1 fans posting about it on social media.
One said: “I don’t know why we were allowed to watch Carlos Sainz changing post race but I’m not mad about it.”

Sainz then created even more discussion after the broadcast caught him saying “F**k” loudly in the cool down room while talking with Verstappen and Leclerc.
The commentators were forced to apologise for the use of bad language.
Reacting to that moment, one person said: “Carlos is too classy to swear I think. Lol. It’s the Polo shirts with Sweaters on his shoulders.”

Sainz has struggled to keep pace with his Ferrari team-mate Leclerc in the opening five races of the season – with a couple of crashes also hampering his championship bid.
Leclerc leads the drivers standings on 104 points, followed by defending champion Verstappen on 85.
Sainz is down in fifth place, behind Sergio Perez and George Russell.

FERRARI are at the centre of a cheat storm, with rival F1 teams pushing the FIA for answers.The Italian team took part in a Pirelli tyre test the Monday after the Emilia Romagna GP in Imola.

However, eagle-eyed teams spotted that Carlos Sainz was running with a different floor design to his team-mate Charles Leclerc, who had run in the morning session.
The rules for the tyre tests are clear. No experimental parts should be used and all components must have been used in previous races or tests and comply with the technical regulations.
The Italian team say they have worked in cooperation with the FIA, who have now given Ferrari the all-clear from any wrongdoing.
However, unhappy teams are still not satisfied with the FIA’s lack of explanation and have called on the sport’s governing body to provide full transparency.

Brown’s reference points to the FIA’s handling of their investigation into Ferrari’s engine the team used in the 2019 season.
While teams suspected foul play, the FIA delivered the bombshell that it had “reached a settlement” with Ferrari but crucially added “the specifics of the agreement remain between the parties”.
Teams threatened a legal challenge as there was a feeling they were being denied access to the truth and demanded a full report.
And while the latest row is not sparking as much uproar, bosses have told the FIA they must have more clarity.
Alpine CEO Laurent Rossi added: “I wouldn’t point a finger yet, because I don’t know the details, so that wouldn’t be fair.
“But at the end of the day, what we need is transparency. We need to know if there was something wrong or not and, if there is, what’s the outcome? The most important is that we don’t need a veil.”
Mercedes boss Toto Wolff, who in the past has had his own battles with the governing body, has called on the FIA to get on top of their scrutineering process.
He said: “The FIA just needs to be on top of these things. It can’t be that any team runs a component in an environment it shouldn’t be doing. And I guess if the FIA was not 100% on it, I’m sure they will be now.”
Meanwhile, while he is happy that Ferrari did not break the rules in this instance, Red Bull boss, Christian Horner, says the FIA need to ensure that no team takes advantage of the tyre tests to improve their cars’ performance.

His crash was almost a carbon copy of that suffered by Ferrari’s Sainz on Friday, as they both fell victim to the tricky turn 14 corner.
It is the first running of the Miami circuit, which has been fairly well-received despite proving to be challenging for the teams.
But Sainz and Ocon led a chorus of F1 talents who felt more reinforcement should be added to help shield those who ended up in the barriers.

“But today, my neck was a bit in pain, and I told them: ‘Let’s put Techpro [barriers] there because it’s a very hard concrete wall.’
“Esteban crashed and I’m pretty sure he felt it too. It’s one of those things I will never understand. I did bring it up already, [but] no change.”
The Spaniard’s words were echoed by Ocon’s, whose untimely crash means he starts last on the grid today.
The Alpine driver said yesterday after his collision: “Carlos said the impact was way too big, and today it felt huge. It’s probably the biggest shunt of my career to be fair.

“We’ve discussed it with Carlos yesterday, with the race directors, to say that we should probably put a Tecpro barrier there and it hasn’t been listened to.
“So yesterday Carlos got hurt, today I got hurt as well. That is not acceptable, and the FIA should push harder for our safety.
“When a professional driver of the calibre of Carlos, driving for Ferrari, says something like this yesterday I think the minimum is that it should be taken into consideration and do the best possible to make a change.”
Other drivers, including Valtteri Bottas of Alfa Romeo, Red Bull’s Sergio Perez, Pierre Gasly from Alpha Tauri and Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll, echoed their comments.

A spokesman for the FIA said officials had inspected the area of impact and decided no changes were necessary from a safety perspective.
