Man City star Stokes became a mum recently, when fiancee Katie gave birth to their first child.
Just two months ago, the NHS worker welcomed Harlen Harrington-Stokes, who was conceived by IVF.
But it wasn’t always easy.  
Stokes revealed: “In our head, it was a case of: ‘we’re just going to go down to the clinic and then it will work and we’ll have a baby’… but it wasn’t as simple as that, and we had to learn.”

Greenwood, another City star, has dated long-term love Jack since they were at school.
They crossed paths at Savio Salesian College in Bootle, Merseyside before falling for each other.

Alex is said to be the glamour puss of the Lionesses. She’s “very big into her heels, her dresses and her eyelashes,” according to Jordan Nobbs.

Chelsea centre-back Bright has been in a romance with Levi for a long, but unspecified, time.
He likes to keep himself to himself, with his Instagram account set to private.
Although he does reveal he is a performance-enhancing coach with his own business.
Last year, Bright called him her “King” in a gushing message on social media celebrating his 30th birthday.

Bayern Munich star Stanway also dates a sports star – rugby league’s Ashall-Bott, who plays for Toulouse Olympique.
During lockdown, they admittedly got into fishing.
Olly said: “Literally within the second time of going, Georgia caught the biggest fish ever, she’s so competitive in everything she does.”
However, they have no plan of walking down the aisle just yet. Georgia said: “We’re enjoying each other’s company, we’re still young and just loving life. I’ve got trophies that I want to lift before I lift any children up.”

Mind you, £641m for a tough-tackling defensive midfielder would be an extortionate amount to pay.
An extension he signed in 2021 will keep him at the club until 2027, when the 23-year-old’s release clause might just rise.

6. Antoine Griezmann, Barcelona, £685m
The French forward’s future is up in the air, as is the fee that could be paid for him.
Barcelona loaned Griezmann out on a two-year deal to former club Atletico Madrid, who have a £34m option to make the move permanent for the 31-year-old next summer.
That’s far less than the £685m release clause Barca insisted upon in his contract, when they signed him from Atletico for £108m in 2019.

The Spanish champions snapped up Alaba in 2021 on a free transfer – giving the 30-year-old a five-year contract worth around £17million a season.
They then protected their investment by slapping a £726million clause in the deal, that doesn’t expire until 2026.
Previously with Bayern Munich, Alaba enjoyed a successful first season with the club – winning LaLiga and the Champions League.

The future of Uruguayan defender Araujo, 23, was anyone’s guess until this summer, when he finally penned a new deal with the Catalans.
Astonishingly, they insisted on a £846m release clause that deterred interested parties, including Liverpool, Man City and Man Utd.
“FC Barcelona and the player Ronald Araujo have reached an agreement to renew his contract until 30 June 2026. The buyout clause stipulated is set at €1bn,” the club revealed.

The future is bright for Barcelona, who recently tied up teen superstar Gavi with a £86m release clause in his deal.
Before that, it was Pedri who inked an astonishing contract last year at just 18 – that will keep him at the club until 2026.
That is, unless, someone wants to pay £846million to buy him.

Like any respectable Wag, she loves to travel and appears to be constantly on the move.
Currently, she’s enjoying preseason with her beau – where they have enjoyed some time in Ibiza, Spain and now are in Doha, Qatar.

Fast-forward a year, and ambitious Jesus was already making his name at Palmeiras – and establishing himself as one of his country’s most-promising talents.
By the end of 2016, the striker had already secured a blockbuster move to Europe with Manchester City, and appeared for his country – scoring twice on his international debut. All this by the age of 19.
His epic rise, and subsequent performances for City, led to Pep Guardiola calling Jesus the ‘best in the world’.

Jesus was just 17, starring for Palmeiras’ youth team, when he was snapped clutching a paint brush painting the streets of Sao Paulo.
It was part of an initiative by the locals to get into the spirit of the 2014 World Cup, which the country was holding.
So, Jesus took to his Jardim Peri neighbourhood with gusto, and added his brush strokes to liven up an area known for its poor living conditions.
Jesus has paid homage to his home – in the shape of a tattoo that depicts a small boy with a football under his arm looking back at his former favela.

It was where he developed his football skills, playing what the locals call the ‘Varzea’ way on dirt pitches.
His dedication to his craft from eight to 14 came through at Pequeninos do Meio Ambiente football club in the neighbouring city of Tremembe.
Every Saturday, he would walk an hour-and-half to training in flip-flops with a pair of worn out football boots in hand because he couldn’t afford the bus fare. It’s perhaps that eight-mile round trek that makes him the tireless and hard-working player he is today.

Jesus was brought up by his mum Vera – who has kept him on a tight rein since he became a star.
His father died shortly after he was born, and she took on three jobs to support her four children also recognising Jesus’ ability with a ball.
To this day, Jesus has never forgotten her struggle. And whenever he scores he whips out his trademark phone call celebration in honour of his mother.

Early years
By 2013, Jesus signed a youth contract with Palmeiras. But he also aced school.
His former headteacher of Guilherme de Almeida state college said he could have been a biologist, after he passed his exams with distinction.
However, the lure of playing football was too great.
He starred for Palmeiras in the u17 state championship in 2014 – scoring 37 goals in 22 games.
Europe’s top clubs were already taking note of his talents back then, and a life in academia would have to wait.
Jesus was thrust into the Palmeiras first team in 2015 – often appearing from the bench to make 37 appearances in all competitions, while registering seven goals.
The following year, it would get even better. He would rack up 46 appearances and score 21 goals.
More importantly, he would fire Palmeiras to their first league title in 22 years.
It became clear that at 19 he was already destined to play on the bigger stage.

Welcome to the Premier League
Manchester City beat a host of clubs to the signing of Jesus in 2016 for a reported fee of £30million.
On his arrival, he said: “I want to win titles and Manchester City is a club that is used to winning. City is a club that always competes for the title in the competitions it enters, so that was an important factor, and because of the manager, Pep Guardiola, and the squad.” It was a prediction of what came next.
He would make his debut for the club in January, 2017, exploding in his fist campaign with seven goals in his first 11 games for the club.
A small matter of a broken metatarsal in only his fourth game didn’t deter him from settling in brilliantly.
The following season, he would win his first Premier League winners’ medal – which became back-to-back titles a year later.
Vying for the centre forward position with Sergio Aguero, Jesus would score 45 goals in his first 100 games for the club.
Although, it didn’t all go to plan at the 2018 World Cup.

Failure with Brazil
Ahead of that showpiece in Russia, Brazil were well-fancied to go far.
A year prior, captain Dani Alves compared Jesus to World Cup legend Ronaldo and the expectation on him was huge.
But such was the pressure on his young shoulders, he was left floundering as he led his country’s line.
On such an occasion, Brazil’s No9 is expected to score goals. Jesus flopped in that regard – scoring none.
They would eventually go out of the competition to Belgium in the quarter-finals.
Jesus, himself, was ultimately damning of his own performance and bravely admitted it plagued him.
“That elimination of ours was a blow for all of us, especially for me,” he later said.
“I went to the World Cup as a key player and I ended up not scoring. It affects you.
“I was scarred by that. People will always remember Gabriel who did not score in the World Cup.”
It’s perhaps that hangover that’s hindered his powers in recent times – with doubts over whether he is a natural goalscorer, as well as being played out wide instead of centre forward.

An admirer in Pep
Despite doubts of his prowess in front of goal, Man City manager Pep Guardiola stood by his man.
Last season, Jesus’ first when he wasn’t in Aguero’s shadow, he showed his worth for his manager with a brilliant four-goal salvo against Watford.
Speculation of a move to Arsenal was already being mooted then.
In a press conference after the game, Guardiola outlined his importance to the team.
“I want to tell you something, Gabriel is our player. I don’t know what is going to happen but he is a Manchester City player,” the Spaniard said.

“But Gabriel doesn’t need to do a performance like today to score four goals to know exactly what he can do. Against Liverpool in the FA Cup, he had two clear chances man to man and he missed them, but always he is there, and Gabriel has this incredible ability because he is always thinking what is the best for the team.
“A thousand million movements, he doesn’t get the ball and he still makes a thousand million movements for the other ones. And personally, when he has nights like this I am the happiest man in the world because always he’s there.
“If he doesn’t play he’s there training the day after like it’s his last day, that’s why he will have a long career, he will have a successful career because of the incredible positivity in his mind and thinks for the team.”
Guardiola would also add: “What we have done this season we have done with Gabriel, Gabriel is one of the best.”

She currently has her own agency, MBC (set up in 2000) that looks after the likes of the Foo Fighters, Depeche Mode, Lewis Capaldi, and more.
But her weekends have been reserved for the Blues for over three decades now, regularly making the pilgrimage to Stamford Bridge to regularly cheer on the Premier League giants
And she even had a hand in Chelsea’s FA Cup anthem Blue Day, as song by Madness frontman Suggs in 1990s.
“They wanted to get two fans on the board,” she recently told The Big Issue.
“It’s like a lot of things in life, a lot of luck is involved. They wanted a woman and approached me, and it was obviously a no-brainer. It’s ridiculously exciting.”

New recruit
Last week, it was confirmed that Charone would be a director on Boehly’s board, along with Jonathan Goldstein, the CEO of Cain International, as well as Times columnist and Conservative peer Daniel Finkelstein, another Chelsea supporter.
Charone, herself, is a fanatic. A season ticket holder for a number of years, she was in the stands in Munich to see the club win their first Champions League title in 2012 against the hosts Bayern Munich.
Alongside her love of the beautiful game, Charone cemented her reputation as “Britain’s most powerful music PR”.

But before that, the Chicagoan started off as a music journalist in her homeland, before emigrating to our shores in 1974, where she wrote fornow defunct Sounds magazine, freelanced for Rolling Stone, and was one of the first female writers for the NME.
A superfan of The Rolling Stones, Charone interviewed the band numerous times – striking up a strong bond with guitarist Richards.
That trust would come in handy in 1977, when the wild rocker was arrested in Toronto, Canada for possession of heroin.
Charone relived the story in her brilliant tell-all memoir Access All Areas of helping Keith, as well as penned his book.
Rescuing Keith
‘By 1976 I had a good relationship with Keith, having interviewed him on numerous occasions,’ she wrote.
‘I eventually asked him if I could do a book on him, and much to my surprise and delight he said yes.
‘Keith suggested I come to Toronto early in 1977 for the Rolling Stones shows at the El Mocambo club.
‘I flew to Canada at the end of February, but unfortunately the Royal Canadian Mounted Police reached Keith’s hotel before I did, arresting him for possession of heroin.
‘Keith was in big trouble. Suddenly rehearsal time for the upcoming club shows was cut short by meetings with lawyers and court appearances.

‘Keith was no stranger to the law but this was his most serious drug charge yet, with a prison sentence a very real possibility.
“The shows at El Mocambo (capacity 300) took place on March 4 and 5, and it is a testament to the band’s dedication and stamina that they pulled them off under such trying circumstances.
Uncertain future
‘They tore the place up. It was one of those “you had to be there” moments. However, the grim reality of the situation hovered like a very dark cloud.
‘When Keith appeared in court he was given bail, his passport confiscated.
“He and partner Anita Pallenberg and their seven-year-old son Marlon returned to their home for the foreseeable future, the 32nd floor of the Harbour Castle Hotel.
‘The future for Keith, and indeed the Stones, was uncertain.
“A couple of days after the court appearance Mick Jagger flew to New York City and soon after the others followed. I was moved to the suite next door to Keith, Anita and Marlon.
‘I’m sure Keith felt alone and quite possibly betrayed but no doubt my staying helped forge a tremendous bond between us.
“It also provided an upfront and personal insight into the man I was writing a book about.
‘God knows what my parents thought, knowing their loving daughter was living for a month in a Toronto hotel alongside a Rolling Stone out on bail for heroin trafficking. It’s going to be a really great book, I promised them.’
Football banter with Rod Stewart
By 1981, Charone had left journalism behind and started working for Warner Music in their public relations department.
Having previously written a Rod Stewart cover interview for Rolling Stone, it was only natural for her to work with the Scottish music legend as his PR.

And a love of football was something they shared in common.
In her memoir, she says ‘Rod Stewart is a massive Celtic fan and really loves football. Likewise, I am passionate about my beloved club Chelsea.
‘Once, while we were in Sweden to shoot a Rolling Stone magazine cover, Rod asked me to read him the scores of that Saturday’s top-flight games before a show.
 ‘I ran through the scores, leaving off Chelsea’s 7–0 thrashing by Nottingham Forest.
‘The next day, before I left Stockholm, my phone rang, and the voice just said “seven–nil!!!!” and laughed. Rod hung up before I could get a word in.’
Fandom with Suggs
In 1997, Warner signed the Chelsea-mad singer Suggs to their label, which brought Charone plenty of joy.
She already knew the Madness singer, also a regular at Stamford Bridge, and was thrilled to work with him.
Then, an opportunity arose with the Blues appearing in that season’s FA Cup final for their paths to cross in a working capacity – for Chelsea’s FA Cup song.
She recalled, ‘As fate would have it, the songwriter Mike Connaris brought me a Blue Day, which he thought was perfect for Suggs and would make a great FA Cup final song.
‘Suggs loved the track, as did the club. I somehow managed to convince WEA to pay for the recording and to put it out as a single.

‘Before you could say dreams really do come true, I was in a London studio on a Sunday afternoon with Chelsea captain Dennis Wise, Gianluca Vialli, Mark Hughes, Steve Clarke, Gianfranco Zola and the entire Chelsea team making a record.
‘When the team left, Suggs and I sat around having a beer, practically speechless, literally in dreamland. It was a real pinch-me moment.Chelsea won the FA Cup, beating Middlesbrough 2–0.
‘Hearing Blue Day blasted on the Wembley Tannoy brought tears to my eyes. The song is now part of Chelsea folklore and is played at every home game.
‘When Chelsea started their own in-house radio and TV station, Suggs and I were asked to guest on the first matchday show. Suggs hadn’t been to bed and arrived straight from a big boozy night out.

And he has chosen to let his hair down in Ibiza, where he bumped into a football pal.
