Captaincy & Booster options for Gameweek 28: 12th Man could cover absentees

DREAM TEAM managers should be aware that Gameweek 28 features just four Premier League fixtures.Six top-flight sides are set to participate in the FA Cup quarter-finals this weekend, however, during which players will score points as normal. That leaves six teams without a single fixture this coming Gameweek: Arsenal, Bournemouth, Brighton, Crystal Palace, Everton and Sheffield United. With this in mind, let’s mull over potential Booster strategies and captaincy options.PLAY SCORE PREDICTOR AHEAD OF THIS WEEKEND’S ACTION – SOMEBODY MUST WIN £500 AMAZON GIFT CARD!Saka and his team-mates will BLANK in Gameweek 28Credit: REUTERSIt’s probably wise to keep Park the Bus and Max Captain holstered as both Boosters are best deployed in a double Gameweek – like Gameweek 29 for example. The same is true of 12th Man although this Booster could serve another function for gaffers caught short by this weekend’s blanks.Several of Mikel Arteta’s favourites are among the most-popular players in the game and so it’s likely that many bosses will not be able to field a full XI in Gameweek 28, even after their transfers. The likes of Pervis Estupinan (£2.7m), Lewis Dunk (£3.1m), Jordan Pickford (£2.7m), Dominic Solanke (£3.8m) and Eberechi Eze (£4m) will also be twiddling their thumbs this weekend. Most gaffers should be able to stomach one or two inactive players but those missing half their line-up may feel they need to activate their 12th Man Booster to bolster their ranks. Most read in FootballErling Haaland (£7.9m), Mohamed Salah (£6.5m), Darwin Nunez (£4.8m) and Son Heung-min (£4.6m) are all exceptional candidates. Both excellent captains this weekendCredit: Dream TeamAnd it’s the very same names leading the captaincy conversation. It’s been months since a classic toss-up between Haaland and Salah but that’s exactly how many gaffers will see it this week.Manchester City host Newcastle while Liverpool travel to Manchester United for their respective FA Cup quarter-finals.Neither seem like especially favourable match-ups initially but the Magpies have conceded 16 goals in their last seven outings amid their slump to tenth in the Premier League table.Current form suggests Eddie Howe’s side are not adequately prepared to withstand an Etihad onslaught.Similarly, Erik ten Hag will be privately fearful of a shellacking on Sunday given the nature of his injury-hit defence. The Red Devils beat Everton last weekend but they gave up plenty of chances and with Liverpool having scored 25 goals in their last eight outings, it could get messy for the hosts at Old Trafford.Only Mohammed Kudus earned more points than Salah in Gameweek 27Credit: GettyOf course, there’s always a chance key players will be rested in the FA Cup but with a place in the semi-finals at stake and an international break to follow, it would be a surprise if Pep Guardiola or Jurgen Klopp fielded a weakened line-up.Salah had his wicked way with Sparta Prague on Thursday night to finish Gameweek 27 having added 22 points to his tally but Haaland boasts the best points-per-game average (9.5) among all assets this season. Both are fantastic options but perhaps home advantage edges it to the Norwegian poacher?Son’s Premier League record is immense this seasonCredit: APElsewhere, Son is probably the most-appealing alternative.Tottenham’s captain played superbly against Aston Villa for his 16 points last weekend in what was a statement victory at a difficult stadium to visit. The South Korean superstar averages a goal or assist every 90.8 minutes in the league this term and he’ll fancy his chances of improving his figures away to Fulham on Saturday.READ MORE SUN STORIESThose uncertain about FA Cup line-ups should note that Spurs’ trip to Craven Cottage is a Premier League fixture. The deadline for Gameweek 28 is 11:15am on Saturday – good luck!talkSPORT BET Welcome offer

Score Predictor tips for Matchweek 31: £500 Amazon voucher up for grabs amid FA Cup and Premier League action

MATCHWEEK 31 challenges Score Predictor users to guesstimate a mixture of Premier League and FA Cup fixtures. This slight tweak makes things interesting but the format remains the same.Whomever gets closest to correctly predicting the five outcomes will win a £500 Amazon gift card by Sunday night – the top prize must be won be somebody.PLAY SCORE PREDICTOR AHEAD OF THIS WEEKEND’S ACTION – SOMEBODY MUST WIN £500 AMAZON GIFT CARD!Spurs swaggered to an impressive win last weekendCredit: GettyScore Predictor is completely free to play and it takes just seconds to enter five predictions.Fulham v TottenhamSpurs produced a statement performance at Villa Park last weekend and if Son Heung-min and company are able to replicate the same free-flowing attacking football at Craven Cottage then the hosts will find their opponents difficult to resist.Arsenal are the only team to have scored more league goals away from home than Ange Postecoglou’s outfit this season. The Cottagers are a well-coached side sitting comfortably in mid-table but defeat to Wolves last time out makes them underdogs for Saturday’s London derby.Spurs have won eight of the last nine league meetings with Fulham. Our Prediction: 2-1 to TottenhamManchester City v NewcastleAnother FA Cup for the collection?Credit: GettyWith an international break to follow, both sides are expected to name strong starting line-ups in this FA Cup quarter-final.Newcastle have slipped to tenth in the league and the fact they’ve conceded 16 goals in their last seven games suggests their defence is not suitably prepared for an Etihad onslaught.Pep Guardiola’s side are undefeated on home soil in 2023/24 and with the league far from a certainty, the decorated tactician will surely be keen to retain the FA Cup.The Magpies have had their moments against City in recent meetings but this one feels like an ill-timed match-up for them. Our Prediction: 3-1 to Manchester CityChelsea v LeicesterA man in formCredit: PALeicester are about as strong as second-tier teams comes but they’ve wobbled in the last month and suddenly their return to the top flight no longer seems a forgone conclusion. The King Power faithful probably wouldn’t be all that heartbroken if their side were eliminated from the FA Cup, allowing sole focus on their quest for promotion.Conversely, Chelsea should prioritise the competition as their league ambitions are severely limited at this stage. The hosts’ only defeat in their last seven games came against Liverpool (in extra time) in the Carabao Cup final. The Blues’ defence remains vulnerable but they have looked more potent in attack lately, led by the excellent Cole Palmer. Our Prediction: 2-1 to ChelseaWest Ham v Aston VillaThe Hammers only mustered a draw at home to BurnleyCredit: GettyTwo teams coming off the back of disappointing results last time out – the Hammers only drew at home to Burnley while the Villains were thoroughly outplayed by Spurs. Both sides will also have played in Europe on Thursday night so it’s not all that easy to get a read on this match-up at the time of writing. That being said, Villa’s away form has improved steadily as the season has progressed – only the three title contenders have earned more points on the road – while West Ham’s home record is merely average.David Moyes’ side have looked much better since Lucas Paqueta was reunited with Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen in the front three but it’s hard to ignore the cracks in their midfield and defence. Both teams to score feels like a good starting point. Our Prediction: 3-2 to Aston VillaManchester United v LiverpoolWill Mohamed Salah be unleashed from the get-go at Old Trafford?Credit: AlamyA classic fixture to complete the weekend.Jurgen Klopp may choose to rest key players against Sparta Prague this evening having won the first leg 5-1 and so the Red Devils should expect a strong line-up from their rivals at Old Trafford.Erik ten Hag’s side beat Everton last time out but they conceded plenty of shots once again; a similarly porous defensive display this weekend would surely be punished by Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez and friends.Man United held firm at Anfield for a 0-0 back in October but the previous meeting between these two sides ended 7-0 to the Merseysiders. The hosts are missing important players in defence and it’s hard to envisage them resisting Liverpool’s relentless “heavy metal football” if the visitors are able to build momentum. Our Prediction: 3-1 to LiverpoolShow us how it’s done by submitting your own predictions before Saturday’s deadline!talkSPORT BET Welcome offer

Transfer recommendations ahead of Gameweek 28 – Mohamed Salah, Spurs stars and other options

GAMEWEEK 28 marks an intriguing juncture in the Dream Team calendar.A mix of FA Cup games, Premier League fixtures and a handful of blanks means gaffers will have to think carefully about their transfers.Dream Team bosses should also have one eye on Gameweek 29 with every team set to play twice in quick succession after the international break.Enough preamble, let’s run through some transfer recommendations.PLAY SCORE PREDICTOR AHEAD OF THIS WEEKEND’S ACTION – SOMEBODY MUST WIN £500 AMAZON GIFT CARD!A must-have asset when fit?Credit: Dream TeamMohamed Salah (£6.5m)The Egyptian superstar has been eased back in since recovering from injury and he may not play the full 90 minutes against Manchester United in the FA Cup this weekend but he’s likely to feature in some capacity. The Red Devils beat Everton last time out but they once again allowed their opponents plenty of chances and a similar performance against Jurgen Klopp’s free-wheeling attack could get messy.Salah is essentially a must-have asset when fit and gaffers who resist recruiting him this week will sure have to give into temptation ahead of Liverpool’s double header against Brighton and Sheffield United (both at home) in Gameweek 29.The 31-year-old has registered 29 goal involvements in 30 games this season – enough said. Most read in Dream TeamSimilarly, Darwin Nunez (£4.8m) owners will be hopeful of bumper returns in the coming weeks.Son Heung-min (£4.6m)Spurs stars should be popular ahead of Gameweek 28Credit: GettyTottenham haven’t played all that many fixtures recently but the schedule has now turned in their favour. They travel to Fulham this weekend having beaten Aston Villa 4-0 on the road last time out before a a relatively favourable double header of Luton and West Ham in Gameweek 29.A home fixture against 17th-placed Nottingham Forest in Gameweek 30 means the next month looks rather appealing for Ange Postecoglou’s troops.Spurs’ skipper is therefore ultra viable, not least because he bagged 16 points against the Villains via two assists and a goal.Few players are able to keep pace with Son in the league this season – he’s scored 14 goals and provided eight assists. That boils down further to a goal involvement every 90.8 minutes in the top flight! While we’re on the subject of Spurs stars, Pedro Porro (£3.6m) is worthy of a mention ahead of Gameweek 28.The Spanish right-back is one of the most attack-minded defenders in the game, as evidenced by his tally of eight assists, and he also gets through plenty of tackles. The most eye-catching stat relating to Porro is his mighty average of 6.4 points-per-game – the highest rate among assets in his position at the time of writing. We might as well shout out James Maddison (£4m) while we’re at it.The creative playmaker averages 7.2 points-per-game this season and is therefore a decent option for a friendly run of fixtures.Cole Palmer (£4.4m)13 goals and 13 assists in 2023/24Credit: GettyChelsea’s golden boy is the most-popular recruit ahead of Saturday’s deadline as it stands and it’s easy to see why.His latest impressive showing featured a goal and an assist as he took Newcastle for 12 points on Monday night.Palmer now has 26 goal involvements to his name since his transfer to Stamford Bridge – undoubtedly one of the best signings this season.Maurico Pochettino’s side have the luxury of three consecutive home games up next, starting with an FA Cup meeting with Leicester.Championship sides don’t come much stronger than the Foxes but their form has fallen away of late and one suspects they wouldn’t be all that heartbroken to be eliminated from the cup as they’re primarily focused on automatic promotion back to the Premier League.Chelsea will then ease back into the swing of things after the international break with a game against relegation-bound Burnley.Palmer will be licking his lips on current form.Rayan Ait-Nouri (£2.6m)An outside-the-box optionCredit: GettyA differential wildcard to finish. Many gaffers won’t be aware that the Wolves defender is now operating in a hybrid role, as is the fashion these days.As a result, he spends a lot of time in midfield areas and his chance creation numbers have steadily increased. He scored against Fulham in his most recent outing to register 31 points across the last three Gameweeks – he’s among the most in-form defenders in the game right now.READ MORE SUN STORIESAit-Nouri currently features in 0.3% of teams and he’s arguably got the most-favourable fixture in Gameweek 29 with Gary O’Neil’s side set to host Coventry in the FA Cup.Lock in your transfers before Saturday’s 11:15am deadline!talkSPORT BET Welcome offer

Cole Palmer Dream Team’s most-popular recruit ahead of Gameweek 28 – Chelsea set for three consecutive home games

COLE PALMER (£4.4m) is currently the most-popular recruit ahead of Gameweek 28 among Dream Team managers. And it’s easy to see why.PLAY SCORE PREDICTOR AHEAD OF THIS WEEKEND’S ACTION – SOMEBODY MUST WIN £500 AMAZON GIFT CARD!Mr PopularCredit: Dream TeamThe 21-year-old was the architect of Newcastle’s downfall on Monday night as he scored one goal and assisted another to help Chelsea win 3-2 at Stamford Bridge. Palmer banked 12 points when all was said and done to take his tally to 225 for the season. He’s now fourth among midfielders overall, a tremendous effort without European commitments to bolster his schedule.Since joining the Blues, Palmer has scored 13 goals and provided 13 assists in all competitions.Phil Foden (£5.9m) and Bukayo Saka (£5.8m) are the only midfielders with more goal involvements to their name at this stage – not bad company to keep given the England internationals are the top two performers in 2023/24!26 goal involvements and countingCredit: PAPalmer’s impressive form is just one reason Dream Team bosses are using transfers in their droves to recruit him this week.Maurico Pochettino’s men are just one of two sides set to face Championship opposition this weekend. Most read in FootballChelsea are set to host Leicester in the FA Cup and while that’s certainly not a forgone conclusion given the Foxes are the best side in the second tier according to the league table, it has to be considered a relatively favourable match-up.Leicester were storming the Championship at one stage but their lead has been cut to three points following a run of just one win in their last five.Enzo Maresca will surely view the FA Cup as a secondary priority and may field something of a second-string starting XI.After the international break, Chelsea have the luxury of two home games in Gameweek 29, Burnley and Manchester United, making it three fixtures in a row at Stamford Bridge. It should be noted that the West Londoners’ home record is nothing to brag about this campaign – they’ve won six, drawn three and lost four in the league.Still, an easy routine should suit Palmer in the coming weeks.Three consecutive home games should benefit ChelseaCredit: AlamyWhen Chelsea do eventually play away next it’s against bottom-of-the-league Sheffield United, who have conceded more goals than any other team in the top flight. After that, it’s another home against an Everton side on a miserable run of results.Dream Team gaffers will want to stock up on players active in the European quarter-finals from Gameweek 30 but there should be room for Palmer in a successful XI as well.If Chelsea progress to the next round of the FA Cup then they’ll have some extra fixtures which will increase the viability of their best performers.Palmer has been a revelation this season and has quickly become a favourite among Dream Team managers.READ MORE SUN STORIESHis ownership of 18% makes him the seventh most-selected midfielder but he may jump up one or even two places before the Gameweek 28 deadline.talkSPORT BET Welcome offer

Why Dream Team managers should already be planning for European quarter-finals

MANY Dream Team managers prefer to live Gameweek by Gameweek but the best gaffers are able to plan ahead. Two weekly transfers allows for plenty of flexibility but it’s still wise to consider the broader picture when devising a strategy. In fact, it’s probably worth having one eye on the European quarter-finals as early as this week.PLAY SCORE PREDICTOR AHEAD OF THIS WEEKEND’S ACTION – SOMEBODY MUST WIN £500 AMAZON GIFT CARD!Arsenal secured their place in the Champions League last eight on Tuesday nightCredit: Dream TeamManchester City and Arsenal have already booked their places in the Champions League last eight while Liverpool are all but assured of a spot in the next stage of the Europa League having won their round of 16 first leg 5-1 against Sparta Prague.Brighton will need a miracle to join the Reds in the quarter-finals having lost 4-0 to Roma in their first leg.West Ham’s continental campaign hangs in the balance following their 1-0 defeat to Freiburg in Germany. And the same is true for Aston Villa in the Europa Conference League after their 0-0 stalemate with Ajax in Amsterdam. All the remaining relevant ties will be settled on Thursday night one way or the other, with the draw for the quarter-finals of all three European competitions set to take place on Friday. This means Dream Team bosses will have a good read on the upcoming schedule before the Gameweek 28 deadline (11:15am on Saturday). Most read in FootballGaffers will be hoping Villa get past Ajax on Thursday nightCredit: GettyThe first legs of the Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League quarter-final first legs will take place in Gameweek 30, with the second legs following in Gameweek 31.Immediately, Pep Guardiola’s side catch the eye as they face Crystal Palace (GW30) and Luton (GW31) before each of their European legs – a favourable draw would create two appealing double headers.Dream Team gaffers should be cheering on the Hammers on Thursday night as the likes of Jarrod Bowen (£4.9m) and Mohammed Kudus (£4.8m) would be well placed to provide healthy returns across the next month if they are able to get past Freiburg.David Moyes’ side travel to Wolves in Gameweek 30 before hosting Fulham in Gameweek 31 – a relatively friendly Europa League quarter-final draw on top would look awfully tempting on paper.Arsenal assets are dropping in popularity ahead of their blank in Gameweek 28 but many gaffers will revert to Mikel Arteta’s favourites from Gameweek 30 when they face Brighton and a to-be-decided Champions League opponent.William Saliba (£3.3m), Ben White (£3.7m) and Gabriel (£4m) are all among the top seven defenders in the game after the Gunners’ clean sheet against Porto.Bukayo Saka (£5.8m) is second only to Phil Foden (£5.9m) in the overall rankings while Martin Odegaard (£4.3m) has been in great form of late.Man City’s upcoming schedule is already looking sweetCredit: GettyIt should go without saying that it’s an excellent time to back Liverpool players. The Reds remain active in the FA Cup and their Gameweek 29 double header is one to target when both Brigton and Sheffield United will visit Anfield.Jurgen Klopp’s troops will then face Manchester United in Gameweek 30 and Crystal Palace in Gameweek 31 around their Europa League quarter-final legs (barring a unthinkable turnaround from Sparta Prague).Smart gaffers will already be thinking of how their XI will shape up in Gameweek 30 in time to capitalise on the European quarter-finals.READ MORE SUN STORIESThose without suitable foresight risk getting caught short at a crucial juncture. All eyes on Thursday night’s results and the Friday draws – fingers crossed West Ham and Aston Villa pull through.talkSPORT BET Welcome offer

Bruno Fernandes has quietly amassed 87 points across nine Gameweeks in 2024

BRUNO FERNANDES (£5m) has historically been among Dream Team’s best midfielders ever since he arrived on English shores.Manchester United’s captain was a tad under par throughout the first half of the season by his own high standards but he’s climbed up the rankings since the turn of the year. The Portugal international now finds himself fifth among assets in his position having racked up 218 points in total.PLAY SCORE PREDICTOR AHEAD OF THIS WEEKEND’S ACTION – SOMEBODY MUST WIN £500 AMAZON GIFT CARD!Taken for granted?Credit: Dream Team87 of those points have come across nine Gameweeks in 2024.The jury is still out on Erik ten Hag’s side but Fernandes has quietly notched eight goals and ten assists in all competitions after his successful penalty against Everton last time out. That spot-kick against the Toffees means he’s now scored or assisted in each of his last four games.More broadly, Fernandes has scored three goals and provided five assists in 11 appearances since the turn of the year. And while his tally of nine bonus points pales in comparison to most his rivals, he ranks ninth among midfielders for tackles. Some statisticians would say that Fernandes’ recent string of goal involvements was an inevitability as his underlying numbers have been encouraging since the get-go.Most read in FootballBack among Dream Team’s elite midfieldersCredit: APOnly Phil Foden (£5.9m) and Cole Palmer (£4.4m) have registered more shots on target among midfielders. In terms of big chances created, Fernandes’ tally of 21 is the highest among all assets.Looking forward, the fact Man United have to play Liverpool in the FA Cup and the Premier League in the next three Gameweeks means their schedule is far from favourable. However, both those meetings will take place at Old Trafford and Mohamed Salah (£6.5m) and company spell more danger for Andre Onana (£3.3m) and the defenders than Fernandes and the other attack-minded members of the squad.Squeezed between those games against Jurgen Klopp’s side comes a double Gameweek with the Red Devils set to take on Brentford and Chelsea.Man United host Liverpool this weekendCredit: GettyTruth be told, Fernandes has generally been a fixture-proof asset in recent years – the schedule doesn’t tend to impact his returns as much as others. That being said, if Man United are eliminated from the FA Cup by Liverpool in Gameweek 28 then their skipper may find himself light on fixtures after the international break, even more so compared to players who will still be active in Europe.Fernandes’ form is worth acknowledging at the very least.talkSPORT BET Welcome offer

Dream Team bosses wisely crossing North London divide ahead of Gameweek 28

PLENTY of Dream Team managers are switching their North London allegiance from red to white this week.At the time of writing, Bukayo Saka (£5.8m), William Saliba (£3.3m) and Gabriel (£4m) are among the most transferred-out players ahead of Gameweek 28.Conversely, Son Heung-min (£4.6m), Pedro Porro (£3.6m) and James Maddison (£4m) are among the most-popular recruits.PLAY SCORE PREDICTOR AHEAD OF THIS WEEKEND’S ACTION – SOMEBODY MUST WIN £500 AMAZON GIFT CARD!Saliba’s ownership is dropping this weekCredit: ReutersOn the surface, this may seem strange as Arsenal are currently top of the Premier League but gaffers crossing over to Tottenham are actually following sound logic. The Gunners are one of just six teams without a fixture to fulfil in Gameweek 28 – Bournemouth, Brighton, Crystal Palace, Everton and Sheffield United being the others. This scheduling quirk is down to the fact six top-flight clubs are due to compete in this weekend’s FA Cup quarter-finals, meaning their league games have been postponed.Mikel Arteta’s side are comfortably the most significant absentees from the upcoming Gameweek with four players among the 20 most selected right now – Saka and Saliba rank third and fourth respectively. After their blank, Arsenal are due to face Manchester City at the Etihad in their first match after the international break.Arsenal’s trip to the Etihad is a huge fixture in the title raceCredit: GettyWhile they will feel confident of a competitive contest against Pep Guardiola’s side having beaten them 1-0 at the Emirates in October, it’s clearly a difficult match-up.Most read in FootballSaka and company will also face Luton (at home) in Gameweek 29, which is a more promising fixture but it’s understandable why Dream Team bosses are moving away from Arsenal assets this week.Spurs’ league meeting with Fulham at Craven Cottage will go ahead as planned in Gameweek 28 and the smart money has to be on the visitors following their 4-0 over Aston Villa.Son is currently the top performer this Gameweek having plundered 16 points at Villa Park and so it’s no wonder he’s an early favourite for Gameweek 28.Porro banked eight points against the Villains but the truly telling statistic regarding the Spanish full-back is his season average of 6.4 points-per-game – the highest rate among all defenders in 2023/24.Porro boasts impressive statisticsCredit: Dream TeamIn midfield, only three players average more points-per-game than Maddison’s 7.2 this campaign while only top-tier strikers Erling Haaland (£7.9m) and Mohamed Salah (£6.5m) boast better averages than Spurs’ South Korean superstar (7.5).Postecoglou’s side have a relatively favourable run of fixtures after the international break too with Luton (home) and West Ham (away) in Gameweek 29 and Nottingham Forest (home) in Gameweek 30.It may well be the case that Arsenal players come back into favour after the international break, especially if they’re still active in the Champions League, but for now it certainly seems sensible to pivot to Spurs stars.A successful Dream Team manager knows there’s little room for loyalty in this game.talkSPORT BET Welcome offer

A modern Dream Team tragedy: The heartbreaking tale of Dominic Solanke vs Sheffield United

MOVE over, William Shakespeare, this tragedy tops the lot.Dominic Solanke (£3.8m) was the third most-recruited player in Dream Team ahead of Gameweek 27 and with good reason.Bournemouth’s double header of Sheffield United and Luton (both at home) appeared to be heavily pregnant with potential. After all, the Blades have conceded the most goals in the Premier League this season with the Hatters third on the same list.Backing the Cherries’ in-form striker seemed a perfectly logical strategy on paper. It was supposed to be a smart ploy…Credit: GettyAnd it seemed like everything was about to fall nicely into place when Solanke won himself a penalty early on against Chris Wilder’s beleaguered troops at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday. Then everything fell apart. The 26-year-old confidently addressed the ball but slipped at the worst possible moment, scuffing his spot-kick over the bar as a result.Midway through the second half, it seemed as if Solanke had partially atoned for his miss with an opportunistic poke from close range. But Lady Luck once again stuck two fingers up to all the Dream Team managers who had used a transfer to pick up Bournemouth’s No9 when the goal was disallowed by VAR – rightfully so it should be stated. Most read in FootballAndoni Iraola’s side came from 2-0 down to snatch a draw but Solanke wasn’t involved in either of the goals and so he ultimately finished the game on ZERO points.A nightmare weekendCredit: Dream TeamThe combination of a penalty miss and a disallowed goal meant his backers were so near and yet so far from a healthy double-digit return.5.8% of Dream Team bosses are now crossing their fingers in hope of a miraculous turnaround in midweek when Luton travel down to the south coast. If Solanke is able to get on the score sheet on Wednesday night then he may end up justifying his Gameweek popularity after all. However, it should be noted that Bournemouth are one of six teams without a fixture in Gameweek 28 and so most of the gaffers who recruited Solanke last week will probably end up replacing him before Saturday’s deadline regardless of his performance against Rob Edwards’ mob.As great as this game is, it can be so cruel sometimes.talkSPORT BET Welcome offer
