      Lewis Hamilton jets into London after F1 star is swarmed by fans on visit to Malaysia following Australian GP

      LEWIS HAMILTON has returned to London after a visit to the Petronas Twin Towers in Malaysia.The seven-time Formula 1 world champion stopped off in Kuala Lumpur on his way back from Melbourne, having competed in the Australian Grand Prix last weekend.

      While there, Sir Lewis checked out the amazing view from the Petronas Towers.
      Despite their high-profile sponsorship of Mercedes, Hamilton had never visited Petronas HQ before, but thoroughly enjoyed his visit.
      The 37-year-old shared a number of pictures of the stunning view from the top floor, while urging his followers to check it out.

      Unlike those who move to Monaco for the tax benefits, Leclerc was actually born in Monte Carlo. He won the GP3 series in 2016 and then followed that up the next year by winning the F2 title at the first attempt.
      As part of his association to the Ferrari Academy, he had test-driver roles at Haas and Sauber before being handed a spot with Alfa Romeo.
      Leclerc’s story is also laced with tragedy, which has shaped his character.
      His father, Herve, who was a racer himself, died in 2017, aged 54. Just four days later, Leclerc won the feature race in F2 in Azerbaijan.

      On Monday, Italian financial police seized their luxury villa in the Portisco area of Olbia on the north-east coast of Sardinia.
      A spokesperson for the Italian Financial Police told MailOnline: “Following verifications on subjects that are part of the current European Union sanctions list, an impounding order was served on Dmitry Mazepin his and his son Nikita Mazepin, a driver with the Formula 1 team Haas until March 5, on a residential complex worth 105 million Euro and traceable to both through an overseas company.”
      The expensive property was in the name of the 23-year-old former F1 driver and his father.
      Rocky Ram, as the villa is called, was bought back in 2012 off an Italian newspaper editor.

      Mazepin’s father Dmitry has been described on a European Union sanctions list as “a member of the closest circle of Putin.”
      He also attended a meeting with the Russian President on February 24, the day Russia’s invasion began.
      Dmitry was also a significant stakeholder in the former Haas sponsor Uralkali, a fertiliser producer.
      But son Niklas was dropped by Haas last month before the 2022 season was due to get underway.
      The Russian has blamed his Haas sacking on “cancel culture against his country.”
      Speaking to the BBC, Mazepin moaned: “I don’t agree with being in the sanctions.
      “I’ve said before I agree to fight it. Perhaps now is not the right time.
      “If you look at the whole situation that is happening against athletes in the general case, it’s cancel culture against my country.”

      LEWIS HAMILTON says Formula One chiefs will have to CHOP his ear off to meet their jewellery demands.Despite body piercings being forbidden since 2004, new race director Niels Wittich addressed the subject directly this weekend in Melbourne.

      Wittich says the rule is there to protect drivers in case there is a need for a speedy exit from the car and raised it with Hamilton and his peers in a two-hour drivers’ briefing.
      But the meeting didn’t stop Hamilton from competing in Sunday’s Australian Grand Prix with piercings in both ears and a nose stud.
      The 37-year-old says the piercings in his right ear are “welded in” and he would have to get them “chopped off.”

      Seven-time F1 world champion Hamilton could, in fact, be fined or docked points if he breaks the code.

      An estimated total of 420,000 fans walked through the gates of Melbourne Park between Thursday and Sunday to watch the Australian Grand Prix – making it the biggest sporting event ever staged in Melbourne.
      Most of those fans were there in support of Daniel Ricciardo, who finished sixth in the race behind McLaren teammate Lando Norris.
      And to honour the 32-year-old’s return to Oz, a group were filmed doing his signature celebration – the ‘shoey’.
