After a difficult start to the season, which included a 10th place finish in Saudi Arabia last weekend, Hamilton has opened up on his mental struggles.
But the Brit admitted he has been suffering “for a long time”.
The seven-time world champion wrote on his Instagram story: “It has been such a tough year already with everything that is happening around us. Hard some days to stay positive.
“I have struggled mentally and emotionally for a long time, to keep going is a constant effort but we have to keep fighting. We have so much to do and to achieve.”

The post comes after Hamilton admitted “I just want to go home” following the Saudi Arabian GP last weekend.
Hamilton was thought to be one of those strongly in favour of cancelling the race after a missile attack on an oil depot just 10 miles from the circuit.

FORMULA ONE chiefs have confirmed they will hold a race in Las Vegas next season.SunSport broke the news back in February that the sport’s owners, Liberty Media, wanted to add a third US race to the calendar in 2023 and had selected Sin City.

The race will be held at night on a Saturday – rather than a Sunday – and is likely to be given a slot on November 25th, just two days after Thanksgiving.
The track will see F1 cars race along The Las Vegas Strip, past hotels and casinos in what promises to be one of the most iconic settings on the calendar.
The track design is 3.8 miles long from start to finish with top speeds estimated to be over 212 mph.
There will be 50 race laps with three main straights and 14 corners, including a high-speed cornering sequence and a single chicane section.

The Vegas race, plus the return of the China GP next year will swell the F1 calendar to 24 races – the limit currently stipulated by the Concorde Agreement, the three-party contract which binds the teams, the governing body, the FIA, and F1’s owners together.

When speaking to DAZN, as per Spanish outlet Marca, Alonso said: “I think that at least two or three years you will see me here. I won’t drive forever.
“I still have a lot to offer. Right now I am enjoying Formula 1 a lot.

Qualifying was red-flagged following the horror hit as Haas lost contact with their driver.
Schumacher, son of F1 icon Michael, was airlifted to hospital for check-ups and did miss Sunday’s race – but is “physically in a good condition”.
