Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul date: When will the fight take place, what TV channel and live stream will it be on?

FLOYD MAYWEATHER and Logan Paul have agreed to take part in one of the most bizarre boxing matches in history. The 50-0 Money Man has defeated Conor McGregor and Tenshin Nasukawa in his last two fights, but an exhibition against YouTube sensation Paul could be the strangest yet.

Here’s what we know about the fight so far.
When will Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul take place?
Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul was supposed to be held on Saturday, February 20, but the fight was postponed.
It was rumoured that the reason for the postponement was a lack of interest, however Logan Paul denied that that was the case.
Claiming the decision was down to “business complications”, he said: “The Mayweather fight is pushed [back] which I am completely OK with.
“The fight’s still happening [but] we want to have a packed arena somewhere and then the business side of things, we have to iron them out.
“He’s got a lot of people on his team, [his advisor] Al Haymon got involved, if you know boxing, you know what that means for getting an actual deal done and figuring out a venue.
Logan Paul was there to support his brother Jake after he beat former MMA star Ben AskrenCredit: Getty Images – Getty
“I need as much practice, training, sparring under my belt against this guy.
“With every day that goes past I get better and he gets older.”
If the reason for the postponement is to ensure the fight takes place in front of a full stadium, then a date of later this year is feasible.
US states such as Florida and Texas, where Canelo Alvarez vs Billy Joe Saunders will take place, are already allowing sports venues to host events at full capacity.

What TV channel and live stream will Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul be on?
In February, Logan Paul incorrectly claimed that Al Haymon had announced the fight would be on Showtime in the US.
However, the network did broadcast Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor stateside.
Both Mayweather vs McGregor and Logan Paul vs KSI were shown on Sky Sports Box Office in the UK, so that could well be the channel for any eventual fight between Mayweather and Paul.
However, no UK broadcaster has been announced for the potential fight yet. More

When will the European Super League start and how will it work?

FOOTBALL has been stunned by the announcement of a European Super League.12 clubs, including England’s Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool and Man City have declared their intention to create a new competition in defiance of Uefa.
12 clubs have announced a controversial European Super League
But how would it work and when could it start?
Here’s all you need to know.
When will the European Super League start?
The European Super League’s founding statement declared that the inaugural season “is intended to commence as soon as practicable”.
Florentino Perez, president of both Real Madrid and the Super League, elaborated on that in an interview with Spanish TV show El Chiringuito.
He said: “If there is an agreement we will start next season.
“We can wait a year longer if there is no agreement with Uefa.”
Florentino Perez wants the European Super League to start in August, if an agreement can be reachedCredit: El Chiringuito TV
One of Perez’s main criticisms of Uefa during the interview was that their changes to the Champions League will not be implemented until 2024, suggesting whatever happens the intention is for the Super League to start sooner rather than later.
He said: “Uefa presented a format for the Champions League which nobody understands, to start in 2024.
“And in 2024 we are dead.”

How will the European Super League work?
The idea is for the Super League to have 20 clubs – 15 founder members who cannot be relegated and five qualifying teams.
All matches will be played in midweek slots, with the clubs insistent they will be able to continue to play in their domestic leagues and โ€œpreserve the traditional domestic match calendar which remains at the heart of the club gameโ€.
The 20 clubs will be split into two groups of 10, playing 18 games – nine home and nine away – with the top three in each group qualifying automatically for the last eight knock-out stage.
Teams finishing fourth and fifth in each group will then play off to fill the final two knock-out slots, with the ties played over two legs apart from a one-off final โ€œwhich will be staged as a single fixture at a neutral venueโ€. More
