    Who is Jarred Gillett?
    Jarred Gillett was born in 1986 in Gold Coast, Australia.
    In 2010, he was elected as an A-League referee and he ultimately went on to become one of the most highly regarded officials in the Australian top flight.
    Gillett took charge of the A-League grand finals in 2012, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 and was named A-League Referee of the year at the end of each of those seasons.
    That made him the first man ever to win that gong on five different occasions.
    Gillett also has plenty of international experience, having officiated in Japan’s J-League, the Chinese Super League, the Indian Super League, the Saudi Professional League and the International Champions Cup.

    Why is Jarred Gillett refereeing in England?
    Jarred Gillett became eligible to referee in England by taking up a post-doctoral research position at Liverpool John Moores University.
    He took charge of his first EFL match, Morecambe vs Cheltenham, in April 2019.

    Steffie Gregg was a Twitch streamer whose death on August 31 shocked all of Jamaica.
    She was also a well-known businesswoman, socialite and popular member of her community of Upper St Andrew in the country’s capital, Kingston.
    Sterling, who was born in Kingston, was known to be a good friend of hers.
    Most famously, Gregg was the niece of singer and dancehall producer Rvssian.
    Her father is former race car driver Gary Gregg while her brother Kyle ‘Speedy’ Gregg is also a racer.
    A month before she died, Steffie Gregg posted an Instagram picture with boyfriend Naldo Banks wishing him a happy birthday.

    THE football world is in mourning as Tottenham and England legend Jimmy Greaves has passed away aged 81. The World Cup winner, who was one of his country’s best goal scorers, had been battling dementia for a number of years.

    Tottenham wrote in a statement: “We are extremely saddened to learn of the passing of the great Jimmy Greaves.
    “We extend our deepest sympathies to Jimmy’s family and friends at this sad time. Rest in peace, Jimmy.”
    What was Jimmy Greaves’ cause of death?
    Jimmy Greaves’ cause of death has yet to be confirmed, but it’s known the Spurs icon suffered from dementia for a number of years.
    Greaves also suffered a serious stroke in 2015, leaving him with impaired speech and in a wheelchair.
    He was admitted to hospital earlier this year in Chelmsford, Essex, not far from where he lived.
    The World Cup winner also required daily care to help battle his illnesses.
    At the end of 2020, Greaves was awarded with an MBE by the Queen for his services to football.
    Greaves is survived by his wife Irene, his four children and 10 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

    Irene, 81, is Jimmy’s wife and the mother of their four children.
    They married when they were both 18 and when Jimmy was a forward with Chelsea, earning £17 a week and £100 if he played for England.
    They separated for 18 months due to football legend’s uncontrollable drinking habits following the death of their young baby Jimmy Jr and Irene filed for divorce but never finalised it.
    They lived together until his death on September 19, 2021.
    “We’ve always adored each other, without a doubt,” she once said of their relationship following Jimmy’s stroke that left him partially incapacitated.
    “‘I never wanted anyone else. But I look at him now and think he’s not the man he was. I’ve lost my best mate. There was no one like him.”

    When did they get married?
    Jimmy and Irene married at a register office in Romford, Essex in March 1958.
    Irene wore a smart belted beige dress and jacket with white gloves and a white hat for the ceremony.
    They separated in the ’70s and reunited 18 months later when Jimmy committed himself to rehab.
    They were married for only three years when they lost their baby son Jimmy Jr.
    “He was five months old and there was no rhyme or reason about it,” Irene said.
    “It just happened. He’d been a healthy baby, 9lb at birth, and when he died we didn’t speak about it — you were told to go home and get on with your lives. There was no counselling.
    “But I still think of him. You always do. I’ve still got a lovely picture of him hanging on my wall with all the other family photos.”
    They’ve been together ever since and in 2017 remarried in a small ceremony in their village church.
    “Oh, it was a lovely day,” Irene said, adding: “We’ve been together 63 years now and we always considered ourselves married, even when we weren’t. We still went out for our anniversary.”
    Do they have kids?
    They had four children Lynn, 62, Mitzi, 59, Danny, 56, and Andy, 54.
    They also have ten grandchildren and give great-grandchildren.
