Who is Guido? Why is Pep Guardiola wearing a t-shirt with supportive message on?

PEP GUARDIOLA showed support for Manchester City fan Guido de Pauw at a news conference on Friday. The Spanish coach wore a T-Shirt which had the message ‘We’re with you Guido’ emblazoned on it.

Guardiola spoke about De Pauw and what happened to the 63-year-old following City’s win over Club Brugge on Tuesday.
    Who is Guido de Pauw?
De Pauw, a City fan from Belgium, was attacked after the English side’s win over Brugge in the Champions League.
The attack took place at a service station new Drongen, which is where City star Kevin de Bruyne is from.
De Pauw is currently in stable condition in hospital but is in a coma and doctors have described his situation as life-threatening.
So Guardiola wore the T-Shirt as a show of support on Friday, and he could do the same this weekend when City take on Brighton.

“Of course all the club and the organisation, from our chairman Khaldoon and every person here, we are with him,” Guardiola said.
“We are quite optimistic because the last hours he is getting better.
“Of course he has all the support from the club for what they need with the investigation from our club.
“We are sending a big hug for him and all his family and we wish he comes back to Etihad Stadium soon to follow us.
“Hopefully this isn’t going to happen again. It’s difficult to understand why people go to enjoy a football game and this kind of terrible things.
“I’m pretty sure Bruges will do the right investigation on that and they can take the person or the people involved in this.”
Man City take on Brighton at the AMEX Stadium on Saturday afternoon. More

Caleb Plant will put his IBF title on the line against AlvarezCredit: Getty
Plant has had to wait a little longer for this fight, having not fought since January, when he outpointed Caleb Truax.
And now the pair will clash with Alvarez’s WBA, WBO, WBC and Ring Magazine titles on the line, while Plant will put his IBF strap up for grabs too.
    When is Canelo vs Plant?

Canelo Alvarez’s big fight with Caleb Plant will take place on Saturday, November 6.
The fight will emanate from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
There should be close to 15,000 fans in attendance at the huge event.
Canelo vs Plant will get underway in the early hours of Sunday, November 7 for fans in the UK, with ring-walks set for around 4am GMT.

What channel is it and can it be live streamed?

Alvarez’s clash with Plant will be shown live on BT Sport Box Office in the UK.

    Canelo vs Plant FULL CARD

Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant – super-middleweight
Anthony Dirrell vs Marcos Hernandez – super-middleweight
Rey Vargas vs Leonardo Baez – super bantamweight
Elvis Rodriguez vs Juan Pablo Romero – super-lightweight

    What has been said?
“You are not on my level and you will see on November 6. You don’t want to fight now, I promise you,” Alvarez said.
“We come from nothing and we worked hard to be here. For somebody to lie and talk trash about us, that upset Eddy. It is what it is though. We just have to show everyone who we are on November 6.
“Caleb might be on the same level as Saunders and Smith, but he’s not on my level. I respect that he isn’t here to back down. You can see from today that this is definitely going to be a good fight.”
Plant said: “I know only one thing better than proving people right, and that’s proving people wrong. I’ve been doing that my whole life. As soon as I stepped on the stage, people started talking about what I can’t accomplish and what I can’t do.
“Where I come from, there is no boxing community. There was no other pro I could look to and say that if he can do it, then I can do it. All I had was my mind and my heart.
“I don’t do this to be famous or to get attention. When I first started, it was just me and my dad. No one thought I’d be standing here today.” More

And now he will finally get his chance, as SunSport recently revealed the pair are due to clash in a December bout after a breakthrough in negotiations.
Paul last fought in August, beating Tyron Woodley by split decision, while Fury outpointed MMA fighter Anthony Taylor on the undercard.
Paul vs Fury will represent the former’s first dalliance with a fully-fledged pro boxer in his short career so far.
And although Fury has predominantly fought boxers throughout his career, many regard Paul to be one of his toughest tests yet.

Although a TV channel has yet to be confirmed, it’s expected Paul vs Fury will be shown live on BT Sport Box Office.

You can live stream events on BT Sport Box Office from the app, which is available for download onto your mobile or tablet device.
Paul vs Woodley cost £16.95, but it’s likely Paul vs Fury could set you back £19.95.

    Paul vs Fury FULL CARD
    Undercard to follow…

    What has been said?
“This is my official response to Tyson Fury,” Paul said after Tyson told Tommy he should change his name if he loses to Paul.
“He just said that if his little brother ‘Timmy’ Fury loses to me that he will make him quit boxing and he’s gonna have to change his last name.
“He will no longer allowed to be Fury. So you know me, I’m a betting man I like to make bets. So I’m putting my money up right now. Tommy, if you beat me I will give you an extra $500,000.
“However, if you lose you have to change your last name for one year to Tommy ‘Fumbles’. Deal or no deal? I’m putting my money up. Sign, seal, deliver it.”
“This is an easy fight for me. A real easy fight,” Fury said. “I’ve been doing this job since I was 7.”
“He’s not a boxer. He’s gonna see that when we fight.
“I will end his boxing career. There’s no more Jake Paul after we fight. That’s it.” More
