THE first international tournament of a packed 2022 is almost upon us.Twice delayed, the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon will finally get underway this weekend with the hosts taking on Burkina Faso.

A host of Premier League stars have travelled for the tournament where Algeria will look to defend the title they won in 2019.
When is AFCON 2022?
Taking place over a month, the tournament will open with Cameroon vs Burkina Faso on Sunday, January 9.
The competition follows a familiar pattern, with group stages followed by a knockout format.
The final will be held on Sunday, February 6 in Olembe.
Kick-off times during the group stages will be at 1pm, 4pm and 7pm GMT.

Every match of AFCON 2022 will be shown live on Sky Sports in the UK.
You can find the matches on Sky Sports Football, Premier League and Main Event, depending on other scheduling.

The BBC and ITV are sharing coverage of this year’s tournament and a number of matches this week will be shown on the BBC Red Button.
How do I watch BBC Red Button games?
Watching games on the Red Button service couldn’t be easier.
Simply head to BBC ONE and hit the red button on your remote, bringing up the interactive menus.
Select sport from the drop down menu and then the match of your choice.
The service on Sky, Virgin Media and Smart TVs uses streaming from BBC iPlayer, so be aware that you need to make a free account before you can watch.

GET set for a bumper weekend of FA Cup action as the world’s oldest cup competition welcomes the big boys.Championship and Premier League clubs join the party this week, with Leicester City looking to defend the title they won at Wembley last May.

And all sides will be looking to book their place in the fourth round, with ties set to be played between Friday, February 4 and Sunday, February 6.
When is FA Cup fourth round draw?
This year’s FA Cup fourth round draw will take place on Sunday, January 9.
It will be made after West Ham face Leeds at the London Stadium.
Kick-off in that game is at 2pm, so expect the draw around 4.30pm.
David James and Leah Williamson will be on hand to draw the ties.
This season there are NO replays at this stage of the competition, so there will be 35 teams in the hat for the draw.
After the draw is made, there will be two more ties to complete – Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal on Sunday evening and Man Utd vs Aston Villa on Monday.

But with a number of Covid-19 outbreaks in clubs around the country, that could all change in the coming days.

AMIR KHAN will finally take on longtime Brit rival Kell Brook in a huge grudge match next month in Manchester. Khan and Brook have been touted for a domestic dust-up for years but have never managed to put pen-to-paper on a deal which suited both parties.

Now that both fighters are at the ends of their careers, Khan and Brook have put their egos aside at the negotiating table to give boxing fans what they’ve been after for so long.
Khan hasn’t been in action for over two years, having last beat Billy Dib in a farcical fight back in the summer of 2019.
Before that he lost a world title fight at welterweight against pound-for-pound star Terence Crawford, who he’s know training with in Nebraska ahead of his clash with Brook.
And it was Crawford who Brook last fought in November 2020, when Bud stopped Special K in the fourth round of their Las Vegas match-up.
In a fight which could define both fighters’ careers, Brook and Khan will put it all on the line when they meet in the middle of the ring at the AO Arena in February.
When is Khan vs Brook?
Khan’s massive clash with Brook will take place on Saturday, February 19 in Manchester.
The bout will be held at the AO Arena, which recently hosted Derek Chisora vs Joseph Parker 2.
The event sold out in minutes and there will be 20,000 fans in attendance at the event.
Ring-walks for the main event will get underway from around 10.30pm UK time.

Serbian publication Kurir claims he stays out of the public eye and his accumulated wealth is “colossal by Serbian standards” and that he is the country’s first home-grown Euro billionaire.
They claim he has a share of ownership in over 100 firms and owns a luxurious house overlooking Lake Geneva worth tens of millions of Euros as well as three private jets.
