      THE first international tournament of a packed 2022 is underway – and we’ve now reached the knockout stages.Twice delayed, the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon began on January 9 with the hosts coming from behind to beat Burkina Faso.

      A host of Premier League stars have travelled for the tournament. where we will have a new champion after Algeria crashed out in the groups.
      When is AFCON 2022?

      Taking place over a month, the tournament opened with Cameroon vs Burkina Faso on Sunday, January 9.
      The competition follows a familiar pattern to many fans, with group stages followed by a knockout format.
      The final will be held on Sunday, February 6 in Olembe.
      Kick-off times during the group stages will be at 1pm, 4pm and 7pm GMT.

      How can I watch on TV and live stream?
      Every match of AFCON 2022 will be shown live on Sky Sports in the UK.
      And ten matches will be shown free-to-air on the BBC, including two quarter-finals, both semi-finals and the finale itself on February 6.
      You can find the matches on Sky Sports Football, Premier League and Main Event, depending on other scheduling.
      To stream, Sky subscribers can use the Sky Go app to stream on their mobile, tablet or PC.

      Do away goals count double in Carabao Cup semi-finals and is extra time used when matches are drawn?

      ARSENAL and Liverpool are meeting in the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final.The teams drew 0-0 in the first leg at Anfield and now have ALL to play for at the Emirates. The winner will face Chelsea in the final at Wembley on February 27.

      Cup football is great fun but can sometimes get a little bit confusing.
      Especially when the rules seem to change from competition to competition.
      If a Carabao Cup semi-final ends level on aggregate after two legs this season, the away goals rule will NOT apply.
      Should this happen, the tie will go into 30 minutes of extra time.
      There is no golden goal or anything similar – and if the sides are still level following ET, it’s the dreaded penalties.

      Does the Carabao Cup have VAR?
      From the semi-final stage up to the final, VAR WILL be used in the Carabao Cup.
      But it will NOT be used in rounds up to the semi-finals this season.
      VAR was used in the Carabao Cup in 2018/19 but the EFL opted to get rid of the system last season on the grounds that it was only being used at Premier League venues.

      “I was in the USA and we played against Chelsea and I don’t know where this is coming from, the celebration.
      “I just scored the goal and it just came out. It was just natural, to be honest.

      And now he’s on the brink of going up against the man he proclaims to be his boxing idol Mayweather.

      Though not yet confirmed, Mayweather’s clash with Money Kicks is set to go ahead on Sunday, February 20.
      Money Kicks told SunSport: “It’s in the last stage. It’s with the lawyers.

      Money Kicks says that Mayweather is taking on this challenge because he wants to assert himself into the Middle East market.
