      MAN CITY are one game away from a second successive Champions League final, but must first get past Real Madrid. The two sides played out a brilliant semi-final first leg last week, which finished 4-3 to Pep Guardiola’s men.

      SunSport understands reps of the Sky Sports pundit Keane have made contact with Easter Road chiefs to confirm his interest.
      And he is ready to LEAVE behind his TV duties behind to replace ex-Celtic team-mate Maloney.
      Keane, 50, is one of the stars of both Sky Sports and ITV punditry and had spoken about how much he enjoys the role.
      The former midfield ace said: “I’m not fearful if someone said you’ve got to do TV for the new few years, I am fine with that because I do count my blessings. As you know, there are a lot of ex-players looking to get back into it and I am alright with that.

      The young brit’s biggest achievement came during a 10,000 metres run at the London European Cup where Cross finished in 18th place.
      However, on May 2, 2022, the long-distance runner defeated four-time Olympic champion Mo Farah in a 10,000m race at the men’s Vitality.
      An event where Cross paid £37 entry fee and took the train to the start line having been denied in the elite field.
      Ellis’ response to the win was: “I’ve beaten somebody who is an idol.
      “He’s known throughout the world and I’ve just beaten him over prime distance.
      “I follow didn’t quite follow the script, but to pull it off and win it, I’m delighted.
      “No one knows who I am, I’m just a club runner. I don’t even have my name on my bib.”
      What has been said by Mo Farah?
      Mo Farah has repeatedly hinted that he would like to represent Team GB one last time before retirement.
      And the four-time Olympic champion might have the opportunity to do so with the World Championships, Commonwealth Games and European Championships.
      However, this humiliating loss to Ellis Cross has put huge doubts on whether the CBE will be able to qualify.
      Farah said: “It’s a tough one.
      “It’s your body. Your body has to be ready. You have to be ready to compete with these guys.
      “Today was a tough day. Ellis did really well to beat me. But you have to see where you are. That’s where I am now.
      “You’ve got to take it race by race and let the body see what you can do. I’m not young.”

      When are EFL play-offs 2021/22? League One semi-finals CONFIRMED, Championship and League Two dates

      THE EFL has reached its business end as teams look to secure those promotion places.And as every year, in each of the three divisions, four teams will compete in the play-offs with only one earning promotion in the Wembley finals.

      Brentford were last year’s play-off winners after a comfortable 2-0 victory over Swansea at Wembley.
      When are the EFL play-off finals?
      The dates for each of the EFL play-off finals have been confirmed and will take place across two weeks.
      The League One final will be played a week before the League Two and Championship finals as Wembley is unavailable on the Bank Holiday Monday of May 30.
      The reason for this is the Uefa-Conmebol Finalissima, which will see European Champions Italy take on Copa America winners Argentina at the national stadium on Wednesday, June 1.

      What does ‘mdcr’ stand for?
      The four-letter abbreviation stands for ‘Madchester’, adding to the north-western English city’s reputation as a musical and cultural cauldron, where mad things happen.

      That defeat effectively cost Arsenal the title that season and a surprise win today for Leeds could spell the same outcome for Pep Guardiola’s team.
