      GET ready for more drama with the Champions League fast approaching.Here is all the latest on how the away goals rule will be used during the competition.

      Do away goals count in Champions League and Europa League matches?
      Away goals had been a feature of European knockout games since 1965.
      But in 2021, this all changed.
      After years of speculation, Uefa  decided to scrap the away goals rule in Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League qualifiers and knockout games over two-legs.
      As such, any tied aggregate score will now send a tie into extra-time.
      Should the scores still be level after the extra 30 minutes, we go to penalties.
      The law previously gave a significant advantage to sides who hit the back of the net on the road, but drew criticism from many fans.

      Uefa President Aleksander Ceferin explained the decision: “The away goals rule has been an intrinsic part of Uefa competitions since it was introduced in 1965. However, the question of its abolition has been debated at various Uefa meetings over the last few years.
      “Although there was no unanimity of views, many coaches, fans and other football stakeholders have questioned its fairness and have expressed a preference for the rule to be abolished.
      “The impact of the rule now runs counter to its original purpose as, in fact, it now dissuades home teams – especially in first legs – from attacking, because they fear conceding a goal that would give their opponents a crucial advantage.
      “There is also criticism of the unfairness, especially in extra time, of obliging the home team to score twice when the away team has scored.
      “It is fair to say that home advantage is nowadays no longer as significant as it once was.
      “Taking into consideration the consistency across Europe in terms of styles of play, and many different factors which have led to a decline in home advantage, the Uefa Executive Committee has taken the correct decision in adopting the view that it is no longer appropriate for an away goal to carry more weight than one scored at home.”
      It means Bayern Munich could be the last team ever knocked out of the Champions League on away goals when they drew 3-3 on aggregate with Paris Saint-Germain in 2021.
      PSG won the first leg 3-2 in Munich before Bayern edged them 1-0 in the second leg in Paris but were knocked out due to the now defunct rule.Are there extra time and penalties in the Champions League and Europa League if scores are tied?

      THE Glazer family own two of the most coveted prizes in world sport – Manchester United and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.United are one of the biggest money makers in world football, but the Glazers’ leveraged takeover of the club has been mired on controversy – mainly because they bought the club with borrowed money then leveraged it against the team.

      The Buccaneers – owned by the Glazer family – thumped the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9 to win the Super Bowl on February 7, 2021.
      Tom Brady threw three touchdowns, giving the evergreen 43-year-old quarterback a record-extending seventh championship ring.
      The only team to play a Super Bowl on their home field, the Buccaneers made the most of the opportunity as they were crowned champions for the first time since January, 2003.
      They beat the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9.

      Who are the Glazers?
      The Glazer family has owned the Tampa Bay Buccaneers since 1995, when American tycoon Malcolm Glazer paid a then-record $192million for the franchise.
      He also acquired Manchester United as he looked to expand his business empire on both sides of the Atlantic.
      Glazer acquired ownership of United in a £790m takeover by gradually buying out shareholders between 2003 and 2005.
      He had a net worth of £3.19bn when he died in 2014.
      The family’s ownership of United has been a point of controversy for almost two decades.
      Ever since the American family took charge of the Red Devils there have been fan protests, with many supporters fearing that the club has moved away from its traditional local values.
      Despite a public offering of United on the New York Stock Exchange in 2012, the Glazers remain in control approaching the 16th anniversary of their takeover.
      After the success of the Buccaneers, United is mounting its best title challenge since winning its record 20th English league trophy in 2013.
      Here’s a profile of the Glazer family and their various business ventures:

      Known as Avie, the eldest child of Malcolm and Linda Glazer has been co-chairman of United, with brother Joel, since 2005.
      His earlier business career included being chairman and chief executive of the Zapata Corporation, which was founded by George W Bush.
      He is co-owner of The Tampa Bay Buccaneers with his siblings but is not listed as a chairman.
      In December 2021, Glazer purchased a franchise from the brand-new T20 league in the United Arab Emirates.
      “I am very excited to be a part of UAE T20 at its formation. UAE T20 promises to be a world-class event that will be transformative to the growth of cricket in the Emirates,” he said.

      As well as his involvement with United, Joel is co-chairman, with brothers Bryan and Edward, of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the NFL franchise the family bought in 1995.
      The Buccaneers website states he oversees the day-to-day operations of the franchise.
      Under their tenure, the Buccaneers won their first Super Bowl in 2003 and opened a new stadium where home team touchdowns are marked by cannons firing from a 103-foot replica pirate ship.

      Bryan is co-chairman and a former Zapata executive.
      He takes control of a lot of the day-to-day running of the NFL team and had a big role in the design and construction of the Raymond James Stadium.
      The team’s website states he is “working tirelessly to support the Buccaneers franchise and brand”.
      In 2015, he made a $4million contribution to setting up the Bryan Glazer Jewish Community Center in Tampa.Kevin Glazer 
      Kevin is co-chairman of First Allied Corporation, the real estate company which is the foundation of the family’s fortune.
      He is also the director of a banking firm, a commercial refrigeration business and the Houlihan’s restaurant chain.

      Darcie is the executive vice-present of First Allied Corporation.
      She is co-president and main driving force of the Glazer Family Foundation which established a Children’s Museum in Tampa and does a lot of philanthropic work in the city, much of it linked to the Bucs.
      The team’s website states she is the “driving force behind many of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ innovative, forward-thinking fan engagement and community outreach initiatives, retail activation, and facility design”.

      Edward is the co-president of the Glazer Family Foundation.
      The Glazers are known as supporters of Donald Trump, but although Ed hosted a fundraiser for Trump and donated $250,000 to his inaugural committee, but also gave $5,400 to Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign.
      He cashed in £30m of United shares in December 2014, barely six months after his father Malcolm’s death.

      It’s not known how long Oliveira and Norris have been together, but it’s been public since January 2022.
      Norris posted a picture of the pair on Instagram from a holiday in Dubai and captioned it ‘My sunshine’.
      Oliveira can often be seen walking with Norris through the paddock on F1 race days and is one of his biggest supporters.
      The pair aren’t married and they do not have any children together.

      Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk: Date, TV channel, everything we know so far about undisputed title fight

      TYSON FURY and Oleksandr Usyk finally look set to clash, with both their paths to the undisputed heavyweight titles cleared of any challengers. Usyk defeated Anthony Joshua for the second time last weekend to retain his WBA, WBO and IBF titles, picking up the Ring Magazine belt in the process.

      Fury is the WBC champ and is coming off three huge consecutive stoppage wins himself.
      The Gypsy King beat Deontay Wilder via TKO in 2020 to claim the title, before knocking him out in their trilogy clash last year.
      Fury then overcame Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium, stopping him in the sixth round.
      With no mandatory challengers due, and all the belts in the hands of just two fighters, the undisputed clash looks finally set to happen.

      When is Fury vs Usyk going to take place?
      A date has yet to be confirmed for Fury’s potential undisputed clash with Usyk.
      But all signs look to be pointing at a December date.
      And the venue could be Saudi Arabia once again, with Riyadh being targeted.
      Talks are ongoing about hosting it on December 17 – the day before the World Cup Final in neighbouring Qatar.
      Saudi Sports Minister HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Saud confirmed the country was keen to stage the fight.
      “We’re interested, that’s all I can say. We are open to that. We’re bidding for a lot of events,” he said.
      “If it does happen, it will be hosted in Riyadh. But we still haven’t decided on anything.”
      What TV channel will it be on?
      Fury vs Usyk has yet to be confirmed, but a TV channel will be announced once the fight is signed.
      It’s extremely likely we’ll see the fight on BT Sport Box Office, where Fury’s last six fights have been shown.
      Queensberry Promotions and Top Rank are set to promote the mega-event.

      Fury said on Instagram in a now-deleted video: “England has been relieved of its belts but there is a remedy.

      “But it’s not going to be cheap, if you want the best you have to pay.

      Why is KSI not fighting Ivan Nikolov?
      Originally KSI was announced to fight pro boxer Ivan Nikolov as his boxing opponent in the secondary main event.
      But Nikolov has since been pulled from the card and replaced by Pineda.
      This is because Nikolov, 43, has been seen to have neo-Nazi tattoos, causing fan fury.
      A “white power” tattoo is seen on his stomach and on his left forearm, Nikolov has a tattoo of the words “Blood & Honour”.
      That is the name of a neo-Nazi skinhead group formed in England in the 1980s.
      Also in between the words is a triskele symbol, a three-pointed swastika which was the logo for the group.
      Nikolov also has a Schutzstaffel logo on his right arm, which was the police and military force of the Nazi Party, who pledged an oath of loyalty to Germany’s ex-dictator Adolf Hitler.
      His neo-Nazi tattoos were pointed out by one of his previous opponents, Daniel Blenda Dos Santos, who slammed the boxer after winning their fight in April.
      Dos Santos said: “When I saw his tattoos, some of them racist in nature, I wanted to hurt him.”
      KSI, 28, responded to the allegations on his YouTube channel and confirmed Nikolov was replaced due to his tattoos.
      He said: “He’s a white supremacist
      “Ivan isn’t my opponent anymore. He has been removed.
      “The matchmaker also got fired for allowing this to happen in the first place. But yes, my new opponent is Luis Alcaraz Pineda.”

      Burton was allegedly stabbed to death.
      Fury said: “My cousin was murdered last night, stabbed in the neck.
      “This is becoming ridiculous – idiots carry knives. This needs to stop.”
      Fury also called on the government to make sure that knife crime is punished with harsher sentences in the UK.

      “It’s a pandemic,” added the WBC heavyweight champion of the world.
      “You don’t know how hard it is until it’s one of your own.
      “Life is very precious and it can be taken away very quick. Enjoy every moment.
      “RIP Rico Burton – may the lord God grant you a good place in heaven, see you soon.”
      Who is Rico Burton?
      Not much is known about Burton or his relation to Fury.
      The WBC heavyweight champion does have another famous cousin with the surname Burton, Hosea, who is also a boxer.
      This morning, the police released a statement about a stabbing outside a bar in Altrincham in the early hours of Sunday, August 21.
      “Police are appealing to the public for further information after two males were stabbed outside a bar in Altrincham,” the statement read
