    Potter’s magic fails him…
Brighton were absolutely excellent against Chelsea today, and fully deserved to get the three points at home, but questions must and will be asked of Graham Potter’s setup.
Against Manchester United, his plan A did not work out, and he quickly changed it so that Chelsea were able to take the lead after being dominated.
But today, his changes were too slow, as Chelsea were dominated early on, and conceded too many to come back from.
He did change the game with a change of shape at half-time, and Chelsea got a goal back, but they were unable to mount a real comeback.
    FT. Brighton 4-1 Chelsea.
It’s full time on the south coast, and it is Graham Potters first defeat in charge of Chelsea.
Not just a defeat, but they were totally dominated by Brighton.
    4-1 is the final score.
    90+4. Brighton 4-1 Chelsea.
VAR proves that the goal is onside.
Enciso gets through and forces a save from Mendy, but his parry goes back to the Brighton midfielder.
He then shoots again and Mendy parries this one out to the feet of Pascal Gross who buries it.
    90+2. Brighton 4-1 Chelsea.
    It’s 4-1 to Brighton!
    Pascal Gross!
    90. Brighton 3-1 Chelsea.
There are five minutes of added time
    88. Brighton 3-1 Chelsea.
Leandro Trossard is off for Brighton, as he is replaced by Sarmiento.
    86. Brighton 3-1 Chelsea.
Havertz misses again for Chelsea, as Loftus-Cheek cuts the ball back and the German fires over from inside the area.
    84. Brighton 3-1 Chelsea.
Loftus-Cheek is bought down on the right hand side, and wins a free kick for Chelsea.
It is curled in by that magical left boot of Hakim Ziyech, but floats just wide of the far post.
    82. Brighton 3-1 Chelsea.
It looks like hope is lost for Chelsea, they are not playing with any real urgency or desire to get back in this…
    80. Brighton 3-1 Chelsea.
Christian Pulisic and Conor Gallagher are replaced by Hakim Ziyech and Armando Broja for Chelsea.
    78. Brighton 3-1 Chelsea.
Great strike from Enciso the Brighton substitute, but it is saved well by Edouard Mendy.
He then gets through with a 2v1 against Thiago Silva, but the Brazilian does well to hold him off.
    76. Brighton 3-1 Chelsea.
Brighton play nicely down the right hand side with the rapid Tariq Lamptey.
His cross into the middle is collected by Mendy.
    74. Brighton 3-1 Chelsea.
Tariq Lamptey is bought into the action for Brighton, the ex-Chelsea man will be seeking a goal against his old club we are sure.
    72. Brighton 3-1 Chelsea.
Great ball from Mateo Kovacic through to Aubameyang, but he is dispossessed.
    70. Brighton 3-1 Chelsea.
    Great save by Robert Sanchez.
Aubameyang cuts in on the left hand side and fires a right footed shot at goal, but Sanchez parries it out for a corner…
    The corner comes to nothing.
    68. Brighton 3-1 Chelsea.
Shaky at the back from Chelsea and Mendy again, you can tell he does not have the same confidence that he was playing with a few months back.
    66. Brighton 3-1 Chelsea.
Poor distribution out of the back from Edouard Mendy, as he gives the ball away.
But Trossard cannot make the most of the opportunity.
    64. Brighton 3-1 Chelsea.
    Subs for both sides…
Chilwell and Aubameyang are entering the field.
They are replacing Raheem Sterling and Marc Cucurella.
Adam Lallana is off for Brighton, and he is replaced by Enciso.
    62. Brighton 3-1 Chelsea.
Chance for Chelsea, but the ball won’t quite fall for anyone in the box to really get a shot off.
Havertz then does well to hold up the ball, but his ball to Sterling is a little off the pace.
    60. Brighton 3-1 Chelsea.
Mount has a go from distance for Chelsea, but his effort goes wide of the post…
    58. Brighton 3-1 Chelsea.
This game has died down a bit now, with both teams struggling to create chances after the change of shape by Potter.
    54. Brighton 3-1 Chelsea.
Good defending from the home side, as Chelsea look to come forward with Raheem Sterling.
Brighton dispossess him, and play it out the back nicely.
    52. Brighton 3-1 Chelsea.
Chelsea are trying to establish some form of control in this game now, which will be needed if they are to try and Mount a comeback.
Mount gets forward for The Blues this time, and his cross is almost turned home by Gross, but it is saved by Sanchez.
    50. Brighton 3-1 Chelsea.
Great ball from Conor Gallagher for Chelsea into Kai Havertz, who heads home for the Blues.
    Is the comeback on?
Sterling gets a yellow for a late tackle on Estupinian.
    48. Brighton 3-1 Chelsea.
Goal for Chelsea! Kai Havertz heads home!
