      Who is World Superbike legend Carl Fogarty?

      CARL FOGARTY is a World Superbike legend who took the sport by form – and he ironically goes by the nickname of “Foggy”.The MBE has earned multiple awards for holding the second highest number of race wins ever.

      Who is Carl Fogarty?
      Born on July 1, 1965, Carl Fogarty was raised by former World Superbike father George in Blackburn, England.
      Backed by his funding father, Carl enjoyed riding bikes from a young age but his competitive debut did not come until 14.
      Foggy soon progressed on to the international stage before becoming the Formula 1 TT world champions at just 23.
      And his name began to hit the headlines having achieved a double Isle of Man race triumph alongside winning the world cup – something which not even his father had achieved.
      In 1991, Carl got a shot at his first World Superbike Championship representing Honda UK where he finished seventh overall.
      But two years later, Fogarty began his Ducati riding era which led to a famous first 1994 World Superbike Championship win for the Englishman.

      Fogarty went on to secure a staggering 59 race wins, bagging four world titles and becoming a Member of the Order of the British Empire before retiring in 2000.

      Carl Fogarty has been married to wife Michaela since 1991 and they live in Lyntham St.Annes, Lancashire.
      The lovebirds have two daughters together – Danielle and Claudia.

      Carl founded the Foggy Petronas team in the World Superbike Championship in 2002 – the same year Ducati released a limited edition model in honour of the racing legend.

      However, the Foggy Petronas was scrapped in 2006 after it was labelled as not competitive.

      And Turkish footballer Ahmet Eyup Turkaslan was sadly a victim to this tragic incident.
      Who was Ahmet Eyup Turkaslan?
      Born September 11, 1994, Turkaslan began his senior career with Turkish side Bugsasspor in 2013.
      However, the Turkish goalkeeper had a short loan spell at Osmanlispor in 2016 where he made his professional debut.
      After a successful stint with his loan club, Turkaslan put pen to paper and stayed at Osmanlispor for another three seasons before moving to Umraniyespor in 2020.
      Ahmet then signed a contract with Yeni Malatyaspor a year later.

      How did Ahmet Eyup Turkaslan die?
      Ahmet, 28, was reported to be trapped under a collapsed residential building on Monday, February 6 after a huge earthquake had hit Turkey.
      There were claims that he had died once announced that he was missing but the president of Yeni Malatyaspor Haci Ahmet Yaman denied those accusations.
      Turkaslan’s wife was rescued from the rubble and asked for social media to help find her husband.
      However, Ahmet’s body was tragically recovered on Tuesday, February 7 under the remains of a building.

      On Tuesday, his club – Yeni Malatyaspor – revealed: “Sorry for your loss.
      “Our goalkeeper, Ahmet Eyup Turkaslan, lost his life after being under the collapse of the earthquake.
      “Rest in peace. We will not forget you, beautiful person.”
      Ex-team-mate Moussa Sow led the tributes, as he tweeted: “You were a good guy super nice respectful happy to have been able to know you.” More

      “Christian Atsu was removed from the wreckage with injuries,” Hatayspor president Mustafa Ozat told Radyo Gol.
      “Unfortunately, our sporting director Taner Savut is still under the rubble.
      “Hatay was deeply affected. We are coming towards the end of the most dangerous hours.”
      Who is Christian Atsu’s wife?
      Atsu met his wife Marie-Claire Rupio in Portugal nearly a decade ago when he was playing for Porto.
      The pair got married in 2012 and have since welcomed three kids to their lives.
      Atsu has previously said to Tv3 Sports: “I met my wife in Portugal and you can see we have a beautiful family. We’ve been together for nine to ten years and I just love her.”

      Should Joshua beat Franklin, a rematch with Whyte, who he knocked out in 2015, would be well on the cards.

      Joshua had Team GB coach Rob McCracken in his corner for most of his career, but that all changed before the Usyk rematch.
      AJ brought in esteemed trainer of multiple world champions Robert Garcia.
      And though Garcia did implement a more offensive game plan against Usyk, the fight slipped away from Joshua, who has now decided to make another change.
      Joshua is set to link up with James, who trains both undisputed super-welterweight champion Jermell Charlo, and unified welterweight titleholder Errol Spence Jr.
